Abstract

This research focuses on the development of more engaging English language student worksheets. The conventional worksheets, previously characterized by black-and-white printed pages dominated by question sets, were perceived as tedious and uninspiring. To overcome this limitation, a gamification-based worksheet was designed, integrating the interactive quiz platform Kahoot to enhance learner engagement. The study adopted the ADDIE development framework, encompassing the phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. A descriptive quantitative method was employed to evaluate the outcomes. The finalized worksheet achieved a validation score of 95.3% from three expert reviewers and a practicality score of 69.4% based on students’ responses. These findings suggest that the gamified worksheet is not only pedagogically valid but also sufficiently practical for use in classroom instruction, particularly for teaching the present continuous tense.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing students’ academic writing skills, with a specific focus on English Education students at Universitas PGRI Palembang. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive design within a phenomenological framework, the research examines the impact of AI tools—such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, and Quillbot—on the quality of student writing, their knowledge development, and their perceptions of these technologies. Data were gathered through observations, interviews, and documentation involving 10 students from the second and fourth semesters. The results indicate that AI tools play a significant role in helping students generate ideas, refine grammar and structure, and increase overall writing efficiency. Nevertheless, the study also uncovers ethical challenges, including dependency on AI and risks of plagiarism. In general, students expressed favorable views of AI, considering it a beneficial aid rather than a substitute for critical thinking. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating AI in a balanced way to preserve originality, foster creativity, and uphold academic integrity.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of sustainable agriculture in Nagari Batu Bajanjang, focusing on efforts to maintain biodiversity and increase crop productivity. Nagari Batu Bajanjang has great potential in agricultural development. This study analyzes the transformation from a conventional agricultural system that still relies on monoculture practices and the use of chemicals, to a sustainable agricultural system. The implementation of sustainable agriculture is carried out through several main strategies, including crop diversification, the application of an agroforestry system, the use of organic fertilizers, and the development of a modern irrigation system. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of sustainable agriculture has a positive impact in three main aspects: increasing biodiversity, improving long-term land productivity, and increasing farmer income. The success of this implementation requires active collaboration between local governments, research institutions, and local farmer communities.

Abstract

Miss Eka Gallery is a decoration service business for various events such as weddings and birthdays that currently still uses conventional ordering methods through direct communication or social media. This ordering method often results in delayed responses, misinformation, and difficulties in order management. Therefore, this study was conducted to design a website application with optimal UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) design so that customers can easily view the decoration catalog, place orders, and get confirmation in real-time. The method used in this study is User-Centered Design (UCD) with a design thinking approach consisting of five stages, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Data were obtained through observation and questionnaires to application users to understand their needs, complaints, and preferences. The design results show that the developed web application prototype can display the decoration catalog well, simplify the ordering process, and provide easy service confirmation to customers. Based on testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) and User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) on 14 respondents, it was found that most users still felt less helped, especially in the aspects of navigation and clarity of decoration information. Respondents also suggested adding features such as a chatbot, QRIS payment methods, and a photo gallery of on-site decorations. The results showed that interactive and user-friendly UI/UX design can increase customer satisfaction. Further research is recommended to develop these additional features to optimize the application and meet user expectations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menerapkan pemanfaatan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) sebagai sarana edukasi dalam upaya konservasi mangrove di Pantai Kurnia, Desa Kota Pari. Mangrove merupakan ekosistem pesisir yang memiliki peran vital dalam menjaga keseimbangan lingkungan, mencegah abrasi, serta menyediakan habitat bagi berbagai spesies. Namun, rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya peran mangrove menyebabkan ekosistem ini rentan terhadap kerusakan. Teknologi AI, dengan kemampuannya dalam analisis data dan pengolahan informasi yang cepat, dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menyampaikan pesan edukasi secara lebih efektif dan menarik. Dalam proyek pengabdian ini, kami mengembangkan sebuah aplikasi berbasis AI yang menggabungkan visualisasi data interaktif, gamifikasi, dan simulasi dampak kerusakan mangrove. Aplikasi ini dirancang untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam kepada masyarakat, khususnya generasi muda, mengenai peran penting mangrove, ancaman yang dihadapi, serta langkah-langkah konservasi yang dapat dilakukan. Selain itu, aplikasi ini juga dilengkapi dengan fitur yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk berinteraksi langsung dengan data, seperti simulasi pertumbuhan mangrove dan dampak perubahan iklim terhadap ekosistem pesisir. Diharapkan, melalui pendekatan inovatif ini, kesadaran dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam konservasi mangrove dapat meningkat secara signifikan, yang pada akhirnya berkontribusi pada pelestarian lingkungan dan keberlanjutan ekosistem pesisir di Pantai Kurnia. Pengabdian ini tidak hanya memberi manfaat bagi lingkungan, tetapi juga meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam menggunakan teknologi untuk mendukung konservasi alam.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed consumer behavior in accessing and booking services, including in the photography sector. Maka Studio, as a provider of professional photography services, requires a digital platform in the form of a website application that offers an intuitive user interface (UI) and an optimal user experience (UX). This study aims to design the UI/UX of a web-based photography service booking application using the Design Thinking method, which emphasizes a user-centered approach. The design process follows five key stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Data collection was carried out through interviews and observations to identify users’ pain points, which were then translated into visual solutions in the form of wireframes and interactive prototypes using Figma. The main features of the application include service exploration, schedule selection, booking, and payment simulation. The prototype was tested by ten respondents representing the target users to evaluate usability, user flow clarity, and visual satisfaction. The results indicated that the interface design successfully met user expectations, achieving an average System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 93.75, categorized as excellent. These findings affirm that a user-centered design approach is effective in producing functional, efficient, and user-preferred digital solutions.

Abstract

This research and development aims to produce interactive learning media based on local wisdom of Palembang city on cultural wealth material that is valid, practical, and effective for fourth grade students at SD Negeri 6 Palembang. The methodology used in this study is the type of Research and Development (RnD) research, using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The population in this study were all fourth grade students of SD Negeri 6 Palembang. The sample in this study was 25 students of class IV.B. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. This study produced interactive multimedia learning media based on the local wisdom of Palembang city. Data analysis techniques were carried out by analyzing validity, practicality and effectiveness. Based on the results of the study, data analysis can be proven through the results of the validity assessment on the media validation aspect which obtained a percentage of 93.7%, on the material validation aspect obtained a percentage of 93.7%, and on the language validation aspect obtained a percentage of 94%, with the category "Very Valid" for use. Furthermore, the results of the practicality assessment of the teacher response questionnaire obtained a percentage of 95%, and the final results of the student response questionnaire obtained a percentage of 97% with the category "Very Practical" to use. Then the results of the effectiveness assessment with the N-gain score obtained a value of 0.7648 with the criteria of "High" and the results of the N-gain percent obtained a value of 76.4783 with the criteria of "Effective" so that this product is worthy of use in learning.

there is also anxiety that arises due to stimulation from outside. Stimulation from outside can be from social situations or interactions with other people. Anxiety is often experienced by most people, especially in adolescence, when individuals are in a new social environment or are in a social environment that is different from the social environment in which the individual is usually located. above opinion, the formulation of the problem in this study is how is the Relationship Between Self-Esteem and Anxiety in Adolescents of SMP AL - WASHLIYAH. So the objective obtained in this study is how is the Relationship Between Self-Esteem and Anxiety in Adolescents of SMP AL - WASHLIYAH Medan. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. A qualitative approach is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words of people and observable behavior. A qualitative approach has natural characteristics (Natural serfing) as a direct source of data, descriptive, the process is more important than the results. So it can be concluded that the two variables are correlated or there is a relationship. Furthermore, from the results of the correlation test, it is known that in this study the correlation between self-concept and social anxiety has a Pearson correlation value of -0.534. This shows that there is a negative relationship between the self-concept variable and social anxiety, which means that the higher the self-concept of the subject, the lower the social anxiety he has, and vice versa.
