Abstract

Video game is one of the entertainment medias chosen by most people today, many of which are played through computer devices. On computer devices, many video games are obtained through one of the game distribution platforms, namely Steam. However, Steam has several shortcomings, including those related to Steam reviews. On Steam reviews, you can see the rating of the game, but the rating does not really show the actual quality or condition of the game. As one example, there are users who give a high rating to a game, but in the comments column the user actually mentions the shortcomings of the game. To reduce or anticipate unclear reviews for users who want to try or buy the game, sentiment analysis on reviews is used. In this research, the output produced is information on the results of sentiment classification in filtering reviews, using the Multinomial Naïve Bayes algorithm and combined with the Gini Index feature selection. Sentiment classification is divided into two classes, namely recommended and not recommended classes. In this study, to test the sentiment classification system, a dataset containing reviews in the form of review sentences from Steam is used. The test results using Multinomial Naïve Bayes and Gini Index, can achieve the best accuracy of 60.29%.

Abstract

Indonesia significantly contributes to the global electric vehicle battery market due to its substantial medium- and low-grade nickel reserves. This study utilized saprolitic nickel ore from Halmahera, Maluku, Indonesia. However, the research on saprolite needs some improvements due to its complex mineral composition, which affected on the roasting process significantly. Therefore, a thorough understanding of the properties of laterite ores is critically important, particularly concerning laterite pre-reduction processes. The ore was finely sieved to a particle size of less than 100 mesh and then heated at temperatures of 250, 900, and 1150°C with the variation of reductant (anthracite and palm kernel charcoal). Extensive mineralogical analysis was conducted using X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). The analysis of saprolite showed that it contains about 1.82% nickel, 30.47% iron, 10-20% magnesium, 4.86% aluminum, and 8.1% silicon by weight. Its mineral composition is mainly 53.1% goethite, 38.3% lizardite, and 8.7% quartz. The study found that goethite in saprolite was transformed into hematite around 250°C. At 900°C, the forsterite was crystallized, and at 1150°C, the ferronickel was formed. The transformation of lizardite is important as it affected on nickel diffusion within the iron matrix, which impacted on the material's properties. A thermal upgrading method with reductants like anthracite and palm kernel charcoal was used at lower temperatures to enhance the properties of saprolite. These findings provided valuable insights into saprolite's mineralogical composition and behavior, potentially offering improvements in various industrial processes and applications.

Abstract

In the synthesis of nanoparticles, the phenomenon of agglomeration is an undesirable condition because the particles formed can be larger. The use of surfactants can prevent the occurrence of this phenomenon. In this study, the use of surfactants was studied in the synthesis of nanosilica from geothermal sludge. The method applied in the synthesis of nanosilica is the sol-gel method. A 1 M sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution was used to prepare the sol phase, while the gel phase was prepared at pH 5 using a 1.5 M hydrochloric acid (HCl) solution. The surfactants used were alkyl benzene sulfonate (ABS), cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP). The surfactant added to the precursor solution was at the critical micelle concentration (CMC), where the CMC values for each surfactant were 0.15, 0.05, 0.50, and 1.00 wt% for ABS, CTAB, SDS, and PVP, respectively. The experimental results showed that the synthesis of nanosilica without surfactant could produce the product with a purity of 98.03%. Even though the purity is already high, the resulting product experiences agglomeration and surfactants were needed to minimize the occurrence of agglomeration in the product. The surfactant that gives the best product quality is PVP, where the particle size is in the range of 2.01–3.65 nm. However, the product produced with this PVP has a low purity, 56.67%. It is because the sodium chloride (NaCl) is trapped in the surfactant template.

Abstract

This study investigated the impact of solid/liquid ratio, solvent concentration, temperature, and leaching time on the recovery of rare earth elements (REEs), particularly terbium, from Lapindo mud using sulfuric acid as a leaching agent. The objective was to optimize the leaching conditions and identify the most appropriate kinetic model for describing the extraction process. Leaching experiments were conducted under various solid/liquid ratios, sulfuric acid concentrations, temperatures, and time. The findings revealed that the maximum terbium recovery of 94.51% was achieved at a solid/liquid ratio of 0.5, and 18 M sulfuric acid was used as the leaching agent for the extraction process at 200 °C for 30 minutes. Kinetic analysis proved that the Zhuravlev-Leshokin-Templeman (ZLT) model best described the leaching process. The calculated reaction's apparent activation energy (Ea) was 27.96 kJ/mol, indicating that a combination of chemical reactions and diffusion mechanisms controls the leaching process. These insights are crucial for optimizing the extraction of terbium and other REEs from Lapindo mud, offering significant potential for industrial applications in recovering valuable materials from waste sources. Abstract

AbstractThe advancement of science and technology has significantly improved and streamlined the work of healthcare professionals. One example of this progress is the transition from manual medical records to Electronic Medical Records (EMR). At Bantuan 05.08.03 Hospital in Sidoarjo, the implementation of EMR remains in a hybrid system, combining manual and electronic methods, which does not align with Minister of Health Regulation Number 24 of 2022. This research aimed to analyze the implementation of EMR at the hospital based on the specified regulation. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with observations conducted using a checklist to evaluate the Medify application. Research subjects included doctors, nurses, nutritionists, IT personnel, and medical record staff, each represented by one participant. The results revealed that clinical information entry, data input for financing claims, and EMR storage processes met the required standards. However, inconsistencies were identified in patient registration, data distribution, information processing, quality assurance, and content transfer. These discrepancies indicate that the hospital's EMR implementation is not fully compliant with the regulation. Addressing these gaps requires focused efforts to enhance technical systems and staff training, ensuring full compliance with the regulation and optimizing EMR functionality.

Abstract

Activated carbon from banana peel waste through two stages of hydrothermal (HT) and physical activation processes has been carried out. The hydrothermal process was carried out at a temperature of 200 oC with a holding time of 2 or 6 hours. The hydrochar that had been obtained was then activated in the second stage with nitrogen gas flow (N2) at a temperature of 700 oC for 1 hour with a flow rate of 100 mL/min. The difference in treatment, without the HT process, two stages of activation, variations in activator agents (water, H3PO4, and PEG6000), water volume ratio and HT process holding time were studied for their effects on the specific surface area (SSA) and structure of activated carbon. SSA was measured using the Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) adsorption method, x-ray crystallography was used to identify the crystalline phase and carbon structure parameters, and the surface morphology of activated carbon was observed using FESEM. The results showed that the activation method and process conditions greatly influenced the (SSA) of activated carbon. HT activation using a combination of activator agents produced an SSA reaching 476.9 m2/g. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that HT activation increased the degree of crystallization of activated carbon. The spherical surface structure of activated carbon was formed when H3PO4 was added, while the layered structure was formed when PEG6000 was used. Overall, the two-step activation preceded by the HT process with the addition of H3PO4 produced activated carbon with better SSA and carbon structure and has the potential to be used in wide applications such as EDLC supercapacitor electrode materials, battery cathodes, and adsorption materials.
