Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon in the field still found students who have low interpersonal communication in following the learning process. One factor that causes interpersonal communication is that not all students are able to make effective communication in the learning process and the lack of self-concept students have. This study aims to look at the general picture of students' interpersonal communication, self-concept. Test the relationship of self-concept to students' interpersonal communication. This research is a descriptive correlational study. With a sample of 102 students selected using a sampling technique chosen by simple random sampling technique. Data collection using self-concept questionnaire and student interpersonal communication with Likert scale model. The results of this study indicate: (1) self-concept is in the high category with a score of 47 and the percentage of 46.1%, (2) interpersonal communication is in the moderate category with a score of 89 and the percentage of 87.3% (3) there is a significant positive relationship between self concept with interpersonal communication with rxy = 0.439 and a significant level of 0,000. The findings of this study can be a reference for BK teachers in making programs to provide BK services to students.

Abstract

The research method used in this research is a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational approach. The population in this study were students of the Faculty of Education, State University of Padang in 2016. This population was chosen because students in 2016 were final students who were approaching the age of marriage. The average age of students in 2016 was 22-23 years, with a population of 1336 students. The number of samples of 93 students obtained through proportional random sampling by administering the Linkert model scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques and correlational analysis. Testing the research hypothesis using the Pearson Product Moment correlation formula. The results showed: (1) on average, students 'perceptions of harmonious families were in the good category, (2) on average, students' readiness to marry was in the sufficiently ready category, (3) there was no significant relationship between student perceptions and readiness. married, while the correlation coefficient has a weak level of relationship, with a correlation coefficient of 0.022 (0.20 <KK ≤ 0.40) at a significance level of 0.836 (Sig. rhitung> 0.05) 0.836> 0.05 (no relationship significant).

Abstract

Academic procrastination is the tendency of students to postpone and complete academic assignments so that it adversely affects learning outcomes in school. In this case one of the factors that influences academic procrastination is students' self regulation. By having good self regulation, students can manage and manage themselves in completing academic tasks. But the findings in the field are still the existence of students who carry out academic procrastination, and tend to prioritize more enjoyable activities. This study aims to look at the picture of academic procrastination and self regulation of students and determine the relationship between self regulation and academic procrastination of students at SMA Negeri 5 Padang. This research is a descriptive correlational study. With a sample of 279 students selected using the proportional stratifed random sampling technique. Data collection uses self-regulation and academic procrastination questionnaires with a Likert scale model. The results revealed (1) students' self regulation in general was in the high category of 177 people with 63%, (2) the academic procrastination of students was mostly in the low category of 147 people with 53%, (3) there was a negative relationship significant between self regulation and academic procrastination of students of SMA Negeri 5 Padang of -0,706 with a significant value of 0,000. The findings of this study can be a reference for BK teachers in making programs to provide BK services to students.

Abstract

Adversity Quotient (AQ) is basically beneficial for human life, including college students. Having a high AQ will certainly make college students more resilient in the face of difficulties and obstacles that occur in connection with the educational process that they undergo so as to be able to prevent various difficulties that arise such as learning plateau in the educational process being undertaken by college students in various levels of education. The purpose of this study is to look at the possibility of increasing Adversity Quotient (AQ) to reduce student's learning plateau. This research is qualitative research in the form of library research using secondary data obtained from various sources such as books, literature, and articles published in journals. Then the data are analyzed using content analysis or content to understand the existing content of the collected data and integrate it in writing. It is known that there is a possibility of increasing the AQ which will be useful to reduce the student's learning plateau, through Guidance and Counseling services especially Group Guidance services. Integrating other services in the Guidance and Counseling services is also important to get a complete picture of the conditions faced by clients or students.

Abstract

Social acceptance in the education process should be able to run well, but in reality there are problems. Inclusive Students get less social acceptance from Regular Students this results in decreased confidence of Inclusive Students. One of the factors influencing the Inclusive Students' self-confidence is social acceptance, therefore, if social acceptance is low, the self-confidence of Inclusion Students is low and vice versa.This article is a literature study that will explain the Regular Students 'social acceptance of Inclusive Students and the Inclusive Students' confidence and their implications for guidance and counseling services. The data source in this article comes from books, articles, research report and written regulations which regulate inclusive education.  Hopefully this article can be a reference.

Abstract

Anxiety is a state of fear or an unpleasant feeling caused by many things such as individual health, social relations and so forth. Interpersonal communication anxiety is a from of anxiety experienced by individuals when they have to talk to others. The purpose this study is to describe the level of student anxiety in interpersonal communication with academic supervisors viewed from physical symptoms, mental or cognitive symptoms and emotional symptoms. The type of research used is descriptive research. The research population of the students of the Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Education, Padang State University in 2019 the were 214 students. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique, so that a total sample of 139 students was obtained. The study was conducted by administering the questionnaire instrumen. Data were analyzed by percentage analysis. The study shows the results (1) anxiety level in students interpersonal communication with academic supervisors as a  whole is in the medium category, (2) anxiety level in students interpersonal communication with academic supervisors seen from physical symptoms in the medium category, (3) anxiety level in students interpersonal communication with academic supervisors seen from mental or cognitive symptomsin the medium category, (4) anxiety level in students interpersonal communication with academic supervisors seen from emotional symptoms in the medium category.

Abstract

Adaptability is person’s ability to intereact with the environment naturally. In this study, a single mother with an age range of 18 to 40 years will be examined who was abandoned  due to a divorce. This study aims to describe a single mother’s adjustment in general emotional maturity and social maturity. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The subjects of this study were 32 single mothers in the Dua Koto sub-district, Pasaman district. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire in the form of a likert scale. Research findings reveal that single mother adjusment is generally in the moderate category with a percentage of 81%. In particular, single mother adjusment from the aspect of emotional is in the medium category with a percentage of 96,88%. Aspect of social maturity are in the medium category with a percentage of 75%.

Abstract

This research was conducted because it saw problems that occur in full day school students who experience boredom of learning so that it affects the students' motivation to learn low. This study aims to examine the relationship of learning motivation with full day student learning saturation. The number of samples was 222 students of 34 Padang Junior High Schools selected by using simple random sampling. The instrument used was a Likert scale model, as well as data processed using SPSS version 19 '. The results obtained from this study are that there is a significant negative relationship between learning motivation and learning saturation with a correlation coefficient of -0.512 which is at a significance level of 0.000 with a strong enough category. This means that the higher the motivation to learn, the lower the saturation of student learning. With this finding it is hoped that counselors or counseling teachers can provide guidance and counseling services such as information services, individual counseling services, group guidance services, and group counseling services. To increase learning motivation and to reduce boredom in full day school students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon in the field that still found students who have problems following the online learning process. One of the causes of problems in learning is personal problems in self-motivation. This study aims to see how the students' problems in the online learning process are described in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive approach. The study population was 499 students of guidance and counseling batch 2018-2019, Padang State University, with a sample of 125 students, who were selected by simple random sampling technique. Data collection used student problem questionnaires in online learning with a Likert scale model. Data processing using Microsoft Excel. The results of this study indicate: (1) student problems before implementing online learning are in the medium category with a score of 63 and a percentage of 50.4%, (2) student problems when carrying out online lectures are in the high category with a score of 70 and a percentage of 56%, (3) student problems after carrying out online lectures are in the high category with a score of 49 and a percentage of 39.3%. Based on the research findings, it is suggested that the course supervisor lecturers be able to apply various learning applications to students so that online lectures are more effective and for counselors to be able to provide guidance and counseling services in the form of information services, content mastery services, individual counseling services, group guidance services and counseling. groups to students in order to assist students in alleviating the problems or obstacles they experience.
