Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of applying the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model to student learning outcomes in the thematic learning of class V at SD Negeri 39 Pontianak Kota. The research method used was an experimental design with a pre-experimental design and a non-equivalent control group design. The population of all fifth-grade students totaled 56 students. The research sample was VA class students as an experimental class totaling 28 students and VB class as a control class totaling 28 students. The data collection technique was a measurement technique, and the data collection tool was a written test using multiple choice. Data analysis obtained the average post-test results for the experimental class (71.285) and the average post-test for the control class (64.5). The results of the hypothesis test using the t-test (Polled Variance) obtained t-count = (2.07) while for dk (28+28-2=54) with α = 5% received t-table = (1.874), which means t-count> t-table, then Ha is accepted, this proves that there is an effect of applying the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model in thematic learning. Based on the effect size (ES) calculation results, ES = 0.557, included in the medium criteria. Thus, it concluded that applying the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model in thematic learning positively influences the learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri 39 Pontianak Kota.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the conditions and use of non-projection media in learning mathematics of State Elementary School 73 West Pontianak. The research methode used is descriptive method. There are 2 data sources in tis study, primary data sources is educators, and secondary data sources is observation sheets, inteview guides and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study show that the condition of non-projection media in learning is in good condition and can function, but the use of non-projection media is rarely used by teachers during the learning process

Abstract

This study aims to describe using card media to improve the beginning reading skills of grade II students at SD Negeri 36 Pontianak Kota. This research uses a descriptive method in the form of classroom action research (CAR) and is collaborative. The location of the research took place at Public Elementary School 36 Pontianak Kota, class II, with a total of 27 people who were used as subjects. The data collection technique used was observation and test techniques with data collection instruments namely observation sheets and test questions. This research was conducted in two cycles with one meeting each cycle. The results of the learning implementation design research (RPP) from cycle I average score of 3.32 and cycle II average score of 3.8. The results of the initial reading skills of the first cycle average score of 65.00 and the second cycle average score of 80.30. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that there is an increase in each cycle. Thus research using card media in class II can improve beginning reading skills.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penerapan Preview Question Read Reflect Recite Review (PQ4R) Terhadap Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Cerita Anak dan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Kelas V SDN 29 Singkawang Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif bertujuan menguji hipotesis statistik. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif dan uji hipotesis (inferensial) untuk menguji besarnya pengaruh variabel penerapan PQ4R (X), keterampilan membaca pemahaman (Y1), dan kemampuan berpikir kritis (Y2). Hasil penelitian disimpulkan: (1) Keterampilan membaca pemahaman dengan menggunakan PQ4R memberikan pengaruh terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman cerita anak. Pengaruh yang diperoleh tergolong dalam kriteria tinggi, hal ini dapat dibuktikan dari hasil pretest dan posttest siswa yang meningkat, (2) Adapun pengaruh yang di dapatkan dengan menggunakan PQ4R dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis, siswa lebih aktif memberikan pendapatnya dan mencari solusi untuk masalah yang ada, (3) Kelas eksperimen skor rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen pre-test adalah 90,6 dan skor rata-rata post-test adalah 97,6. Sedangkan kelas kontrol skor rata-rata hasil belajar pre-test adalah 80,2 dan post-test adalah 93,2. Data yang diperoleh terlihat bahwa, hasil belajar dengan menerapkan PQ4R lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan yang tidak menerapkan PQ4R, (4) Sebelum diberikan perlakuan (Pre-test) diperoleh rata-rata yaitu 90,6 sedangkan setelah diberikan perlakuan yaitu dengan menerapkan PQ4R (Post-test) diperoleh rata-rata 97,6 untuk kelas eksperimen sedangkan kelas kontrol (Pre-test) diperoleh rata-rata yaitu 80,2 sedangkan setelah diberikan perlakuan (Post-test) yaitu diperoleh rata-rata 93,2, (5) Tingkat signifikasi F (1,242) jauh di atas 0,5 yaitu dengan Sig. 0,419 atau 41,9%, (6) Besarnya angka koefisien determinasi (R2) adalah 0,856 atau sama dengan 85,6%.Kata kunci: strategi pembelajaran PQ4R; keterampilan membaca pemahaman cerita anak; kemampuan berpikir kritis; siswa sekolah dasarAbstract. This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the Preview Question Read Reflect Recite Review (PQ4R) Learning Strategy on the Reading Comprehension Skills of Children's Stories and the Critical Thinking Ability of the Fifth Grade Students of SDN 29 West Singkawang. This study uses a quantitative approach aimed at testing statistical hypotheses. This research was conducted at Accredited Elementary School B in West Singkawang by conducting research at SD Negeri 29 West Singkawang. Data collection by using questions. The data analysis technique was carried out by descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing (inferential) to test the magnitude of the influence of the variables implementing the PQ4R learning strategy (X), reading comprehension skills (Y1), and critical thinking skills (Y2) with the help of the SPSS version 20 application. The results of the study concluded: (1) Reading comprehension skills using the Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review (PQ4R) learning strategies have an effect (effect) on children's story comprehension reading skills. The influence obtained belongs to the high criteria, this can be proven from the increasing student pretest and posttest results, (2) As for the effect obtained by using PQ4R in critical thinking skills, students can be more active in giving their opinions and finding solutions to problems that exist, (3) In the experimental class the average score of students' learning outcomes in the pre-test experimental class is 90.6 and the post-test average score is 97.6. Meanwhile, in the control class, the average score of the pre-test students' learning outcomes was 80.2 and the post-test was 93.2. From the results of the data obtained, it appears that the learning outcomes of students by applying the PQ4R learning strategy are higher than those who do not apply the PQ4R learning strategy, (4) Before being given treatment (Pre-test) the average is 90.6 while after being given the treatment, namely by applying the PQ4R learning strategy (Post-test) obtained an average of 97.6 for the experimental class while the control class (Pre-test) obtained an average of 80.2 while after being given treatment (Post-test) was obtained an average an average of 93.2, (5) The significance level of F (1.242) is far above 0.5 with Sig. 0.419 or 41.9%, (6) The magnitude of the coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.856 or equal to 85.6%.Keywords:Effect of Implementation, Learning Strategy, Preview Question   Read Reflect Recite Review (PQ4R).

Abstract

Studi pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk membuat produk berupa media video pembelajaran dalam pembelajaran tematik untuk siswa kelas IV dengan menggunakan software Powerpoint dan Filmora. Penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) sebagaimana diadaptasi oleh Borg dan Gall adalah metodologi yang digunakan. Penelitian ini mengandalkan wawancara, validasi ahli, tanggapan siswa, dan data observasi yang dikumpulkan melalui penerapan media video pembelajaran berbasis PowerPoint dan Filmora sebagai sumber data. Wawancara, kuesioner, dan catatan tertulis semuanya digunakan untuk mengumpulkan informasi untuk pengembangan dan penyempurnaan studi ini. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, tujuh tahapan (studi pendahuluan dan pengumpulan informasi; perencanaan; pengembangan produk awal; uji coba produk awal; revisi produk awal; uji coba produk lapangan; revisi akhir) dilibatkan dalam proses pembuatan media video pembelajaran menggunakan PowerPoint dan Filmora. Tingkat kelayakan media video pembelajaran berbasis powerpoint dan filmora “Sangat Baik” dilihat dari aspek desain dengan skor rata-rata 3,64, aspek materi dengan skor rata-rata 3,85, dan aspek bahasa dengan skor rata-rata 3,8 serta hasil uji coba produk “Sangat Baik” dengan nilai rata-rata 3,51.

Abstract

Student worksheets used in schools only contains evaluation questions and not all subjects use the surrounding environment as a learning resource so that the concepts conveyed are incomplete, so this study aims to develop student worksheets based on the surrounding environment as a learning resource that is feasible according to the results of validation by linguist and material expert. The method used in this research is research and development (R&D) method. The model used in this study refers to Research and Development by Sugiyono. The data sources of this research are linguist validators and material experts. The research instruments used were interview guidelines, linguist validation questionnaires and material expert validation questionnaires. The process of developing student worksheets based on the surrounding environment as a learning resource through 4 stages, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, and product validation. The level of validation is based on the experts. The linguist obtained an average score of 3,4 with very valid criteria and the percentage value obtained 85% with very feasible information, the material expert obtained an average score of 3,69 with very valid criteria and the percentage result obtained 92,3% with very feasible information

Abstract

This study aims to describe the correlation between learning discipline, learning activities and student learning outcomes in thematic learning class V SD Negeri 29 Pontianak kota. The method used in this research is descriptive in the form of a correlation study. The population of this study were all fifth grade students at SD Negeri 29 Pontianak Kota, totaling 29 students. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling with a sample of 29 fifth grade students at SD Negeri 36 Pontianak Selatan. Data collection techniques use indirect communication to collect data on learning disciplines, learning activities and documentary study techniques for learning outcomes. The collection tool is a questionnaire. Data analysis technique uses Product moment. The correlation between learning discipline and learning outcomes is 0.440, between learning activities and learning outcomes is 1.405, and between learning disciplines and learning activities with learning outcomes is 1.406, in the high category. rtable of 0.367 with a significance level of 5%, then 1.406 <0.367. So it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted because there is a correlation between learning discipline and learning activities with student learning outcomes in class V SD Negeri 29 Pontianak Kota

Abstract

This study aims to develop a supplement to Ebook Teaching Materials Based on Local Wisdom in West Kalimantan with Character Values. This study uses research and development (R&D) methods with a mixed methods approach. While the model used is the Borg & Gall model with 7 steps that have been modified. Quantitative data was obtained from the results of product assessments by the validator and the results of filling out the practicality questionnaire by teachers and students. Qualitative data were obtained from suggestions and notes by validators, teachers and students. Research instruments in the form of interview guidelines and questionnaires. The level of product feasibility is based on the results of an assessment by the design, material and language expert validator. While the practicality level of the product is based on the results of the assessment by teachers and students. The results of validation by design experts with the criteria of "valid" which means that they have achieved the qualification of "proper" for use. The results of validation by material experts with the criteria of "very valid" which means that they have achieved the qualification of "very feasible" for use. The results of validation by linguists with the criteria of "very valid" which means that they have achieved the qualification of "very feasible" for use. The results of the feasibility and practicality of Ebook Teaching Materials Based on Local Wisdom in West Kalimantan on a small scale and large scale with very practical and very feasible criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to develop animated video learning media that is valid for use by grade IV elementary school students on water cycle material. This type of research is development research by adopting the Borg and Gall model by taking 4 steps from 10 existing steps, namely, (1) Preliminary studies and information gathering, (2) Data collection, (3) Product design, (4) Design validation. The data obtained is mixed data, namely quantitative data obtained from the results of the questionnaire assessment of expert validators and practitioners as well as qualitative data that shows the level of validity of the product developed. The level of media validity is based on the results of the assessment by 1 media expert and 1 material expert. The results of the assessment from media experts obtained a percentage of 93.7% with valid criteria and the results of the assessment from material experts obtained a percentage of 90% with valid criteria.

Abstract

This research aims at problem solving based students worksheets that is valid for use by second grade students of SD Negeri 73 West Pontianak on theme 8 subtheme 3 safety rules on the trip. This type of research is development research by adopting the Borg and Gall model by taking 4 steps out of 10 steps, namely, (1) Potential and problems, (2) Data collection, (3) Product design, (4) Design validation. The data obtained is mixed data, namely quantitative data obtained from the results of the questionnaire assessment of expert validators and practitioners as well as qualitative data that shows the level of validity of the product developed. The research instruments used were interview guidelines and questionnaires. The level of media validity is based on the results of the assessment by 2 material experts and 2 design experts. The assessment results from design experts obtained an average score of 4.75 with very valid criteria and an average score of 4.75 from material experts with very valid criteria
