Abstract

Learning effectiveness is the success of teachers and students in achieving learning goals. The existence of effective learning can improve learning outcomes. Physical Education, Sports and Health (PJOK) has an important role in the internalization of character-based education today. The independent curriculum which is currently the trigger demands that teachers must be able to facilitate students in the form of students' character, talents and interests. However, there are several factors that make the talent for playing table tennis among Class VII and IX students at Muqorrobin Islamic Middle School very low, including a lack of knowledge and training to play table tennis properly and correctly. This became the basis for the author to carry out table tennis training for 2 months with good results, namely the students were very happy with this training, those who initially didn't like table tennis became like it and their ability to play table tennis became even better.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of variations in heating time and humidity of the E7016 electrode on the tensile strength of welded joints in SS400 material. The research was carried out using three humidity levels and two electrode heating durations (2 hours and 3 hours) at a temperature of 260°C. The research results show that electrode humidity and heating time have a significant influence on the tensile strength of the welded joint. The highest tensile strength value was found in the welding variation using welding wire without treatment with heating for 3 hours with an average of 529.62 N/mm2, then the lowest tensile stress was found in the outdoor electrode humidity treatment variation with a heating time of 2 hours amounting to 378.12 N/mm2. The analysis was carried out using the two ways ANOVA method to analyze the resulting tensile strength data. The analysis results show that electrodes heated for 3 hours produce higher tensile strength compared to electrodes heated for 2 hours

Abstract

This research explores the factors contributing to financial empowerment among customers at Bank DKI KCU Balaikota, focusing on the relationships among Savings Habits (SH), Financial Knowledge (FK), Budgeting Skills (BS), and Financial Empowerment (FE). The study employs a quantitative research design with a random sample of 80 customers, using structural equation modeling with Smart PLS to analyze both direct and indirect effects. The direct effects analysis reveals that Budgeting Skills have a significant positive impact on Financial Empowerment, indicating that individuals with stronger budgeting skills tend to feel more in control of their finances. Similarly, Financial Knowledge is also significantly associated with Financial Empowerment, suggesting that an understanding of financial concepts plays a key role in fostering a sense of financial security. However, the direct path from Savings Habits to Financial Empowerment is not significant, indicating that other factors might influence this relationship. The indirect effects analysis finds that Budgeting Skills significantly mediate the relationship between Savings Habits and Financial Empowerment, emphasizing the importance of effective budgeting as a link between consistent saving and financial control. In contrast, the indirect effect from Financial Knowledge through Budgeting Skills to Financial Empowerment is not significant, suggesting the need for additional factors or direct interventions to bridge this gap. Overall, this study underscores the importance of promoting budgeting skills and financial education as key elements in fostering financial empowerment. The findings have implications for financial institutions and educators, pointing toward a more holistic approach to empowering customers, ultimately leading to greater financial stability and independence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of social networks in facilitating access to capital and resources for start-up entrepreneurs in Indonesia. As a literature review employing a qualitative approach, the research utilizes secondary data sourced from Google Scholar between 2003–2024, selecting 19 articles. Descriptive analysis explores how social networks, encompassing personal relationships, business communities, and digital platforms, assist start-up entrepreneurs in overcoming challenges related to accessing capital, knowledge, and collaboration opportunities. Findings indicate that social networks play a critical role in creating funding opportunities through interpersonal connections, leveraging crowdfunding platforms, and establishing strategic connections via business communities and social media. Relevant case studies highlight the success of start-up entrepreneurs in Indonesia who have utilized social networks to expand their businesses and overcome operational challenges. However, the study also finds that the effectiveness of social networks depends on digital literacy, relationship-building capabilities, and community support. Digital literacy training, strengthening business communities, and educating entrepreneurs on leveraging social networks should be prioritized to support the growth of start-up entrepreneurs in Indonesia.

Abstract

Income Tax 21 (PPh 21) is a tax obligation that must be well understood by teachers and administrative staff at schools. However, many teachers at SMPN 15 in Central Bengkulu Regency have not fully understood the procedures for calculating and reporting PPh 21, which could lead to administrative tax errors. Therefore, this community service activity aims to enhance the understanding and awareness of tax obligations among teachers and school staff through socialization and technical assistance regarding PPh 21. The methods used in this activity include observation, distribution of questionnaires, and technical assistance to ensure participants' understanding of how to calculate and report taxes. Evaluation was carried out using pre-tests and post-tests to measure the improvement in participants' knowledge of PPh 21. The results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding after attending this activity. This activity is expected to serve as a model for other schools in educating their teaching staff and administrative personnel about tax obligations.

Abstract

Kinematics of Free Fall Motion (FFM) is one of the important chpaters in physics courses. However, the Physics Laboratory at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya does not have practical tools of FFM yet. This study aims to design and determine the performance of the FFM physics lab based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This research method uses qualitative method and experimental approach. This physics lab is afterward compared to theoretical calculations from the FFM formula by testing it at 3 falling heights of 100 cm, 130 cm, and 150 cm, as well as at 3 different masses of 100 g, 200 g, and 500 g. All data collected need to be analyzed using ANOVA of linear regression to obtain the level of accuracy and the relationship between falling heights and masses towards final velocities of the test objects. The results of the study shows that the development of the lab physics FFM IoT-based has very decent performance as long as the average error percentage is 5.52% or less than 10% as well as the level of average accuracy level is 94.48%. The results of the analysis showed that falling heights have a significant effect towards final velocities of the FFM’s test objects. On the other hand, variety of masses barely has no effect towards final velocities of the physics lab.

Abstract

Translation can be interpreted as the concept of transferring meaning from one language to another according to the meaning the author wants to convey. This study aims to find out the aspect of the differences between translation using ChatGPT and Professional in the Academic Handbook of University of Mataram and to determine the more accurate translation between ChatGPT and Professional translation. This study used a qualitative method. The researcher applied a comparative analysis technique of the results of the ChatGPT and Professional translations of the Academic Handbook of University of Mataram. The results of this research show that of the three translation techniques applied, borrowing techniques were used 147 times, adaptation techniques were used 90 times and literal translation techniques were used 86 times. After conducting a comparative analysis, the researcher then tested the level of accuracy of the analysis data results using House's theory (1997). Then, the results of the accuracy level data test show that the translation by Professionals is more accurate than the ChatGPT translation results.
