Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan menulis yang dialami siswa kelas IV di SDN 111/1 Muara Bulian. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari guru kelas dan siswa kelas IV A. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami berbagai kesulitan menulis, di antaranya ukuran dan bentuk huruf yang tidak seimbang, ada huruf yang tertinggal saat menulis, kesalahan penulisan huruf pada saat dikte, lambat menulis, tidak menggunakan tanda baca, tulisan tidak rapi sehingga sulit dibaca, serta tulisan yang terlalu kecil. Kesulitan-kesulitan tersebut dipengaruhi faktor internal seperti IQ rendah, kebiasaan sering bermain, dan kurang berlatih, serta faktor eksternal meliputi penggunaan gadget, peran orang tua, dan lingkungan sekitar. Sebagai solusi, guru disarankan untuk menerapkan pendekatan bimbingan remedial terstruktur dan kegiatan latihan menulis sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the reading ability of fourth-grade students in Indonesian Language learning at SDN 182/1 Hutan Lindung. The background of this research is the discovery of students who have difficulty maintaining reading concentration, differences in individual reading speed, and the impact of reading ability gaps on classroom learning dynamics. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques according to Creswell, including observation, interviews, and documentation. The data source of this study is the fourth-grade teacher of SDN 182/1 Hutan Lindung as the main informant. Interviews were conducted using semi-structured techniques based on 12 systematically prepared questions. The results show that in general, the reading ability of fourth-grade students is in the good category, with an achievement of around 80 percent. The main obstacles found in the field are difficulty in maintaining students' concentration during sustained reading sessions, significant differences in reading speed between individuals, and there are still students who read more slowly than their peers. Alternative solutions offered include the application of gamification methods, timed reading techniques, differentiated learning, and structured follow-up reflections. This research is expected to provide a real contribution to improving the quality of reading learning in fourth grade elementary school.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low narrative writing skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 56/I Aro Village. Students experienced difficulty developing ideas, constructing a storyline, and writing coherently. This study aimed to improve narrative writing skills through the Think Talk Write learning model, supported by a series of pictures. The study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, implemented in two cycles, each encompassing planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Sixteen students participated in the study. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation, and then analyzed descriptively. The results showed an improvement in students' writing skills in each cycle. In the pre-action phase, the average student achievement was 30%. After the implementation of the action in Cycle I, the results increased to 43% in the first meeting and 56% in the second meeting. In Cycle II, the results increased again to 65% in the first meeting and reached 85% in the second meeting, categorized as good. This improvement occurred because the Think Talk Write model encouraged students to think, discuss, and write systematically, while the series of pictures helped students understand the sequence of events and develop story ideas. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Think Talk Write learning model assisted by a series of picture media is effective in improving the narrative writing skills of fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the still-low reading comprehension skills of elementary school students, which hinder the achievement of literacy competencies. The study aims to describe the nature of reading comprehension difficulties, identify their causes, and examine teachers’ efforts to address them among fourth-grade students at SDN 14/I Sungai Baung. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data sources consisting of fourth-grade students and teachers. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis utilized an interactive model comprising data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the students’ main difficulties include understanding main ideas, the meaning of vocabulary, and drawing conclusions from texts. The contributing factors stem from both internal student factors and external learning factors. Teachers’ efforts were implemented through the use of contextual learning strategies and the provision of intensive reading practice. The findings also reveal that conventional teaching methods, limited learning media, and insufficient parental support at home are external factors that further exacerbate students' reading comprehension difficulties. These findings have important implications for the development of more effective reading learning strategies in elementary schools.

Abstract

Reading comprehension skills among elementary school students are still relatively low. Many students have difficulty understanding texts, identifying main ideas, and answering questions based on reading materials. This condition is influenced by low reading interest and less effective teaching methods. Therefore, an appropriate learning method is needed to help students read actively and systematically, one of which is the Survey, Question, Read, Recite, and Review (SQ3R) method. This study aims to analyze the use of the SQ3R method in improving elementary school students’ reading comprehension skills through a literature review. The research method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) model. Data sources were obtained from scientific articles published between 2016 and 2026 through Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar databases using the Publish or Perish application. A total of 40 relevant articles were identified and selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings indicate that the SQ3R method effectively improves reading comprehension skills, reading interest, student participation, and learning outcomes in elementary schools. Therefore, the SQ3R method can be used as an effective alternative learning strategy in Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe technology-based listening learning among fourth-grade students at SDN 64/I Muara Bulian, covering the implementation process, students' experiences, challenges, and supporting factors. A qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model, and validated through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that learning was conducted in a structured manner using audio-visual and interactive media. Students demonstrated high enthusiasm and active engagement, although both technical and non-technical challenges were identified. Learning success was supported by the appeal of the media, the teacher's facilitative role, and a conducive classroom environment. This study affirms that the integration of technology in listening learning has the potential to create more active and meaningful learning experiences for elementary school students.

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata Universitas Aufa Royhan merupakan wujud nyata dari tugas mahasiswa untuk memenuhi tugas wajib dari kampus dengan dosen pembimbing kuliah kerja nyata. Melalui kegiatan KKN di Desa Janji Mauli Mt, maka terjadi interaksi antara mahasiswa dengan masyarakat sebagai wujud pengabdian masyarakat. Tujuan dari kegiatan yang dilakukan di   Janji Mauli MT ini adalah sebagai salah satu bentuk pengabdian kepada warga Desa Janji Mauli MT dan sebagai program kerja yang telah di sepakati secara Bersama,  Hasil yang dicapai dari keseluruhan Program KKN diantaranya kegiatan posyandu balita dan Lansia yang dilaksanakan di setiap dusun di Desa Janji Mauli MT sebagai bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Posyandu merupakan upaya pemerintah untuk menyediakan pelayanan kesehatan yang terjangkau bagi masyarakat, terutama bagi kelompok rentan seperti Lansia  dan  balita. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mencegah rentannya Lansia terkena Kadar Gula Darah tinggi, kolestrol dan asam Urat serta  Posyandu balita dilaksanakan dengan kegiatan berupa pengukuran berat badan, tinggi badan dan lingkar Kepala.  Kegiatan bertempat di Posyandu, Desa Janji Mauli MT.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is a correlation between the use of English slang and writing descriptive texts in eleventh grade at SMA Darul Abror. This method in this research uses a casual associative quantitative method, namely method for obtaining data naturally from certain places. In the research, researchers carry out treatments to collect data, for example distributing questionnaires and conducting tests. To as certain the cause and effect link between independent variables (variables that influenced) and dependent variables (variables that are influenced) associative quantitative research is also conducted. The associative quantitative research technique is chosen based on how well the approach fits the study title, which seeks to understand the relationship between the dependent variable (writing descriptive text) and the independent variable (English slang). The usage of English slang and students’ capacity to produce descriptive writings in English slang learning at SMA Darul Abror are related, according to the analysis of the research findings. There is a link between the usage of English slang and pupils’ ability to write at a moderate level. A substantial connection between the two variables is shown by a correlation coefficient, or ‘r’, of 0.473 and a significance value (p-value) of 0.020. As a result, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is supported, showing that students’ capacity to produce descriptive texts is favorably impacted by the usage of English slang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of differentiated learning in improving the literacy and numeracy skills of second-grade students at SDIT Nurul Hidayah Brebes. The primary background of this research is the low foundational skills of students and the high level of heterogeneity within a single classroom. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collection techniques including participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results indicate that the implementation of differentiated learning—encompassing content, process, and product aspects based on initial diagnostic assessment results—is capable of creating an inclusive learning ecosystem. Improvements in literacy are evident in students' ability to comprehend texts according to their reading levels, while enhanced numeracy is reflected in their mastery of number concepts through concrete media. The main challenges identified are time management and the complexity of preparing teaching materials, which were addressed through teacher collaboration. The study concludes that differentiation strategies are an effective solution for optimizing students' fundamental competency achievements at the elementary school level within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Listening skill is one of the essential language skills in elementary education, as it plays a crucial role in supporting students’ learning processes. However, the listening skills of second-grade elementary school students are still relatively low, indicating the need for learning models and instructional media that can enhance students’ engagement in listening activities. This study aimed to determine the differences and the effect of the Directed Listening and Thinking Activity (DLTA) learning model assisted by Daily Spin Board (DASBO) media on the listening skills of second-grade elementary school students. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of second-grade students of SD Negeri Pringapus 01 as the experimental group and SD Negeri Pringapus 03 as the control group. Data were collected through listening skill tests, questionnaires, and observations. The data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests, and coefficient of determination tests. The results showed that the average posttest score of students’ listening skills in the experimental group was 67.11, while the control group obtained an average score of 52.41. The independent sample t-test revealed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. Furthermore, the linear regression analysis showed an R² value of 0.264, meaning that the DLTA learning model assisted by DASBO media contributed 26.4% to the improvement of students’ listening skills. Therefore, the DLTA learning model assisted by DASBO media has a positive and significant effect on the listening skills of second-grade elementary school students and can serve as an effective and innovative alternative for classroom instruction. ABSTRAK Keterampilan menyimak merupakan salah satu keterampilan berbahasa yang berperan penting dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Namun, keterampilan menyimak siswa kelas II masih tergolong rendah sehingga diperlukan model dan media pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam kegiatan menyimak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan dan pengaruh model pembelajaran Directed Listening and Thinking Activity (DLTA) berbantuan media Daily Spin Board (DASBO) terhadap keterampilan menyimak siswa kelas II sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment jenis pretest-posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas siswa kelas II SD Negeri Pringapus 01 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas II SD Negeri Pringapus 03 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes keterampilan menyimak, angket, dan observasi. Data dianalisis melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji independent sample t-test, dan uji koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest keterampilan menyimak siswa pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 67,11, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 52,41. Hasil uji independent sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Selain itu, hasil uji regresi linear menunjukkan nilai R² sebesar 0,264, yang berarti model pembelajaran DLTA berbantuan media DASBO memberikan kontribusi sebesar 26,4% terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menyimak siswa. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran DLTA berbantuan media DASBO berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keterampilan menyimak siswa kelas II sekolah dasar serta dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang efektif dan inovatif.
