Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain empirical evidence whether corporate social responsibility has influence on the profitability of the company by ROA and ROE , and it influence on the value of the company reflected by market value and is measured by TobinsQ.The population of this study is manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2008-2010. Samples were taken by using purposive sampling and obtained 108 company for three years (36x3) that match the criteria. Because the data is not normal at the beginning of the testing performed data reduction for data containing outliers (extreme data), so that samples can be processed into 71. Technique analysis using classical assumption test and linear regression analysis. To help analyze the data, the authors using SPSS 17 for windows.The results showed that social responsibility reveal any significant effect on profitability by ROA and ROE and influence also the value of the company is reflected in this study by TobinsQ.

Abstract

Natto is a fermented food from soybean that produce nattokinase enzyme with high thrombolitic activity. Soybean as raw material for making natto, however is a kind of superior bean which is 68% of national necessary come from imported soybean. Therefore, we need to explore the potency of inferior local beans i.e. brown cowpea, white cowpea, and “komak” bean as soybean substitute for making natto. The aim of this research was to study the effects of using inferior beans as substrate of natto fermentation on in vivo thrombolytic activity. The result showed that diet of natto from inferior beans were significantly different (P<0.05) on decreasing of serum cholesterol, serum MDA (malonaldialdehide), foam cell of aorta, and on increasing of endothelial cell of aorta compared to atherogenic rats group without natto diet. However, it was not significantly different (P>0.05) on all parameters compared to soy-natto diet (product control). It means that inferior beans were able to substitute soybeans as raw material for making a functional natto. White cowpea natto showed the best thrombolytic activity in atherogenic rats among other inferior beans with the highest nattokinase activity of 86.4 FU/g.Keywords: thrombolysis therapy, natto, inferior beans, atherogenic rat

Abstract

Malnutrition infants need high quality and quantity protein intake. So far, protein source for infant and children food product is limited in milk and its derivates which is an expensive material. Kelor (Moringa oleifera) leaf meal has been known as a potential protein source. Unfortunately, its protein digestibility is still low due to its high fiber content. The processing of Moringa Protein Concentrate (MPC) is able to eliminate its fiber content, so that it is effective to formulate in infant biscuit product as milk substitute for fighting malnutrition. The aim of this research was to determine the bioassay value of infant biscuit supplemented with MPC. The result showed that protein content of MPC was 60.48% and almost twice higher than moringa leaf meal. The protein digestibility of MPC biscuit was 80.45% and was not significantly different (P&gt;0,05) compared to milk biscuit. Meanwhile, PER value of MPC was 2.29 and higher than milk biscuit. It concluded that MPC was effective to substitute milk in infant biscuit product and recover the health condition of malnutrition infant.Keywords: bioassay, MPC, infant biscuit, malnutrition

Abstract

The article 4 clause 2 in the Act Number 1 Year 1974, mentioned that discrimination against women (wife) potentially in increasing the divorce rates. It can be minimized by creating a gender-based mindset, that will be the object of this research. This research will use qualitative methods with normative juridical approach. This research found that: firstly, that the Act Number 1 Year 1974 and its derivative laws such as Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), has not reach yet the Pancasila values and also justice and humanity as the main mission of law. Secondly, the political configuration in the drafting of laws and “black and white” in understanding of religious texts are contribute to creating injustice. Thirdly, the justice is one of the goals of the law, so discrimination must be eliminated. This research provides a recommendation that polygamy in article 4 clause 2 in the Act Number 1 Year 1974 must be removed, and become the principle of monogamy absolutely.[]Diskriminasi terhadap perempuan (Isteri), sebagaimana tertuang pada Pasal 4 ayat 2 UU No. 1 Tahun 1974, berpotensi menciptakan tingginya angka perceraian. Meminimalisasi hal tersebut dengan membangun pemikiran berbasis keadilan gender merupakan tujuan dalam penelitian ini. Adapun metode yang dipilih adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan yuridis-normatif. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan; Pertama, bahwa UU No. 1 Tahun 1974 beserta perundang-undangan turunannya seperti KHI, masih jauh dari nilai-nilai Pancasila dan misi utama hukum; yaitu nilai keadilan dan kemanusiaan. Kedua, konfigurasi politik dalam produksi UU Perkawinan dan pemahaman teks agama yang “hitam-putih” adalah kontributor terciptanya ketidakadilan. Ketiga, salah satu tujuan hukum adalah keadilan, maka bentuk-bentuk diskriminasi harus dihapuskan. Artikel ini merekomendasikan penghapusan poligami dalam pasal 4 ayat 2 UU No.1 Tahun 1974, dan menjadikan monogami bersifat mutlak.

Abstract

Balanced Scorecard is a strategic management system used to measure company performance. Using Balanced Scorecard approach, performance measurement of PG Krebet Baru is divided into four perspectives, namely learning and growth perspective, stakeholder perspective, internal business process perspective, and financial perspective. The aim of this study is to measure performance of PG Krebet Baru as a basic to make a corrective decision in the future. This case study was conducted by using secondary data from 2009-2011. It was revealed that PG Krebet Baru has shown an improvement in its performance. Learning and growth perspective showed that employee’s productivity was increase. Stakeholder perspective showed that farmer’s satisfaction was increase. Internal business process perspective showed that rendemen level was nearly achieved. These, in turn, have improved financial performance of the company. Finally, it was concluded that Balanced Scorecard can be used to  provide a more structured and comprehensive performance measurement  for PG Krebet Baru.   Keyword: Balanced Scorecard, Case Study, Sugar Cane Factory

Abstract

This study was intended to examine the process of meaning giving of character education values by identifying the process of developing a character-based school culture, both for students, teachers, and other school stakeholders. The research is qualitative in nature with phenomenology design. The research was conducted at Islamic Elementary School (Sekolah Dasar Islam/SDI) Zumrotus Salamah, Tulungagung, East Java. The objects of this study were the values of character education and the character-based school culture. The school principal, the vice principals, the teachers, the students, the school committees, the students’ parents, and the communities around the school were involved as the subjects of the study. The data were collected by administering in-depth interview, documentation and observation techniques. The validity of data was ensured by credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability checking techniques. The data were then analyzed in interrelated stages of data display, data reduction, conclusion drawing, and data verification. The results show that the values of character education were elaborated from the trilogy of Islamic doctrines, namely; al-Iman, al-Islam, and al-Ihsan. Finally, the stages of the development of character-based school culture were started from the internalization process of Islamic moral values, the positive change of students’ views and attitudes, and the implementation of character-based traits at schools, at home, and in the daily social activities of students.

Abstract

Student’s ability to apply pray fardu good and correct is low, it can be seen from 20 students of one class only 4 students or 20 % of students who have been thoroughly studied. Students’ability  to apply pray at Junior High School Islam Unggulan Miftaahul ‘Uluum is low The cause of problems in this research are method dan Media in teaching lerning used by teacher less interested dan still monotonically.This research aims to improve the application made by the students of seventh class at Junior High School Islam Miftaahul Uluum learning through used video kind of audiovisual media. The dependent variable (X) in this research is Applications of Student’s pray fardu, while the independent variables (Y) is a video kind of teaching learning audio visual media.Based on the results of research carried out showed that the type of video media audiovisual learning can improve application pray Fardu of the seventh class at  junior high school Islam Unggulan Miftahul Ulum subject islamic education. This is evidenced by the increase in the average value of the application pray fardu students with an average 72.00 in the first cycle to 80.75 in the second cycle, the percentage increase in student applications pray fardu that is equal to 90% of the number of students. Keyword : Audio -Visual Media, Pray Fardu

Abstract

Tanah pada Universitas Islam “45” Bekasi merupakan jenis tanah lempung yang mempunyai nilai CBR yang rendah sehingga secara strukturil tanah tersebut tidak layak diadakan suatu pembangunan. Upaya meningkatkan kualitas tanah salah satunya yaitu stabilisasi tanah menggunakan semen dan renolith. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa pengujian tanah secara langsung di Laboratorium Teknik Sipil Universitas Islam “45” Bekasi. Pengujian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis tanah, berat jenis tanah, indeks plastisitas, CBR, UCS dan direct shear tanah asli dan tanah stabilisasi. Proses stabilisasi tanah ini dilakukan dengan cara mencampur tanah asli menggunakan semen dan renolith dengan variasi persentase 10% semen dan renolith 3%, 6 % terhadap berat kering tanah. Nilai CBR tertinggi didapat pada variasi 10% semen tanpa renolith dengan peningkatan nilai CBR sebesar 552,35% terhadap nilai CBR tanah asli. Begitu pula pada nilai UCS, peningkatan nilai UCS tertinggi terdapat pada variasi 10% semen tanpa renolith yaitu sebesar 163,33% terhadap nilai UCS tanah asli. Hasil pengujian direct shear menunjukkan peningkatan nilai sudut geser sebesar 1% terhadap tanah asli pada variasi 10% semen dan 6% renolith. Dengan adanya penambahan semen dan renolith mampu meningkatkan nilai mekanik tanah sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai bahan stabilisasi tanah untuk subgrade jalan raya. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kapabilitas dari dosen (pengajar) sehinggadapat mempengaruhi preferensi mahasiswa pada profesi sebagai auditor. Manfaat penelitian adalahdapat menjelaskan faktor-faktor dari kapabilitas yang dapat membuat mahasiswa melakukan pemilihanterhadap profesi sebagai auditor. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan multiple regresion denganmengunakan objek penelitian adalah mahasiswa sekolah tinggi ilmu ekonomi di Surakarta denganjumlah 109 responden. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel kompetensi profesional dankompetensi Kepribadian memiliki pengaruh terhadap profesi audit, sedangkan variabel kompetensipedagogic dan kompetensi sosial tidak berpengaruh terhadap profesi audit.
