Abstract

This study aims to reveal the transformation of Gen Z teachers by highlighting the problem of improving social and personality competencies and identifying the strategies they use. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was carried out using in-depth interview techniques with five Gen Z teachers in Lubuklinggau City who were selected using purposive sampling. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model which includes the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The findings of this study reveal that Gen Z teachers face problems such as lack of self-awareness, dependence on technology, minimal training, and limited time and workload. As a result, Gen Z teachers are at risk of experiencing gaps in communication skills and emotional intelligence, being less prepared to face challenges involving collaboration in the workplace, and in their social lives. The strategies used by Gen Z teachers in their social and personality development include self-assessment, self-development, and utilization of technology. They also continue to learn and adapt in developing their personality and social interactions, in order to improve the quality of their teaching and social relationships.

Abstract

Sempur air (Dillenia suffruticosa) and akar kaik-kaik (Uncaria cordata) are two plants that can be found on Sumatra, Indonesia. The locals employ those herbs as traditional medicine in variety of ways, including treating diarrhea. This study sought to confirm the efficacy of sempur air and akar kaik-kaik leaf extracts as traditional diarrhea remedies. Leaves were obtained in Bangka-Belitung and Riau, Sumatra. They were extracted with 70% ethanol as a solvent and then evaluated for the phytochemical constituents and antibacterial properties. The phytochemical screening found that the ethanol extract of akar kaik-kaik leaf contains alkaloids, tannins, and saponins, but no flavonoids or steroids/triterpenoids. The ethanol extract of sempur air leaf included alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins; but neither steroids or triterpenoids. The ethanol extract of akar kaik-kaik leaf showed no impact on Shigella dysentriae and Salmonella typhimurium, whereas the ethanol extract of sempur air leaf could inhibit S. dysentriae but not S. typhimurium.

Abstract

Aims: All hospital staff were at risk of experiencing stress, but nurses often faced higher levels of stress, especially in the emergency department. If the stress experienced by nurses was not addressed promptly, it could lead to psychosocial issues and negatively impact their performance. This study evaluated the effectiveness of a 15-minute mindfulness intervention in reducing stress among nurses in the emergency department. Method: This study was a quasi-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design, conducted from December 15 to 17, 2023, in an emergency department at a hospital in Sragen. A total of 15 respondents were selected using total sampling. This study only utilized 14 items to measure stress of the DASS (Depression Anxiety Stress Scale) before and after the Mindfulness intervention, which was conducted in a group setting for 15 minutes. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Rank Test. Results: The analysis showed a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05). Conclusion: Mindfulness practices significantly impacted the stress levels of nurses in the emergency department. This study supports the integration of mindfulness practices in stress management programs for emergency department nurses.

Abstract

The effective and efficient use of biomass briquettes is strongly influenced by the type of stove used and the way it is used. This study aims to design a briquette stove by adding an adjuster: the test fuel used honeycomb briquettes and forest fern charcoal. The heat transfer from burning honeycomb briquettes to a pot of water needs to be maintained so that the heat (temperature) remains constant during the combustion process. In the current use of briquettes, the distance between the briquette flame and the pot of water is unstable because the space is getting further away from the pool of cooking water. The combustion distance is getting farther because the bottom of the initial honeycomb briquettes burns out, causing the surface of the briquettes to decrease and move away from the surface of the water pot. Thus the heat given to the pool of water will reduce. The briquette stove needs to be added with an adjuster to overcome this problem. This adjuster serves to raise the honeycomb briquettes if the surface of the briquettes decreases. With the addition of an adjuster, it will be analyzed how much the heat transfer rate and the stability of the burning distance of the honeycomb briquettes will be. In this study, 2 test models will be used: a stove with an adjuster and a stove without an adjuster, using 14 holes in honeycomb briquettes made from forest ferns using starch (tapioca) adhesive. The distance between the surface of the briquettes and the pot of boiled water is 5 cm. The results showed that the briquette stove using an adjuster could maintain the stability of the combustion distance between the surface of the briquette and the pot of water being cooked with an average temperature t = 567.83 0C and conduction heat transfer q = 5285.699 Watt.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of farmer groups in the development of rice commodity farming in Warnasari Village, Tamban Catur Subdistrict, Kapuas Regency. This study used the deskriptif quantitative method which was carried out from August to December 2022. The selection of village subdistricts and farmer groups was carried out proposively, while the sampling of respondent farmers used proportional random sampling. The type of data used is primary data and skunder data as supporting data. The results of data analysis showed that the role of farmer groups in the development of rice farming in Warnasari Village as a learning class was categorized as medium with a value of 69.2%, the role of farmer groups as a vehicle for cooperation was also categorized as medium with a value of 60.8%, while the role of farmer groups as production units was categorized as high with a value of 78.5%. After obtaining the results of the research, it was recommended to farmer groups to increase group activities that are mutual assistance, for example during “gropyokan”, rat control, and other pest control to increase farmer participation and responsibility, thus it was hoped that the role of farmer groups as a vehicle for cooperation can be increased.

Abstract

Mount Merapi, an active volcano, poses constant threats to the surrounding communities. Pancoh, a village located 9.6 km away, has embraced resilience efforts in response to the eruption in 2010. This research aims to explore the community's preparedness, disaster risk management strategies, and investments in disaster risk reduction, focusing on the development of sustainable ecotourism. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed for this study. The research findings reveal that resilience initiatives in Pancoh Tourism Village commenced after the 2010 eruption of Mount Merapi. Disaster risk management is achieved through the promotion of sustainable ecotourism. The research concludes that Pancoh Tourism Village has made commendable progress in building resilience since the Mount Merapi eruption in 2010. The integration of sustainable ecotourism, community involvement, and investments in disaster risk reduction showcases a holistic approach to mitigating the impact of volcanic disasters.

Abstract

Masyarakat Indonesia memiliki riwayat panjang sebagai bangsa terjajah, pendidikan merdeka diperlukan dalam rangka dekolonisasi alam pikiran yang dilakukan pada ruang pendidikan, khususnya melalui pembelajaran sastra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis inferioritas dan pendidikan merdeka Ki Hajar Dewantara dalam roman tetralogi Buru karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif kritis dengan pendekatan kontekstual. Teknik pengambilan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik studi pustaka.. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam roman tetralogi Buru karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer yang menceritakan kisah perjalanan hidup tokoh Minke mengandung unsur inferioritas poskolonial dan pendidikan merdeka sebagaimana yang digagas oleh Ki Hajar Dewantara. Adapun unsur inferioritas berupa perilaku hibriditas, ambivalensi dan mimikri, sedangkan unsur kemerdekaan yang dimaksudkan yakni kemerdekaan eksistensial dan intelektual sesuai dengan kodrat alam, kehalusan akal budi, dalam bingkai semangat kebangsaan yang berdasar dalam taman sari kemanusiaan bersifat universal. Penelitian ini menghasilkan implikasi bahwa roman tetralogi Buru yang mengandung unsur inferioritas poskolonial dan pendidikan merdeka dapat diterapkan sebagai media pendidikan dalam rangka menyembuhkan menanamkan jiwa merdeka pada generasi bangsa secara reflektif melalui pembelajaran sastra.

Abstract

Negara memiliki kewajiban untuk memajukan kesejahteraan umum, yang tiada lain hanya dapat terwujud apabila warganegaranya memiliki pekerjaan. Kebijakan Pemerintah dalam penciptaan dan perluasan lapangan kerja melalui penyesuaian kebijakan iklim investasi, tidak boleh mengenyampingkan hak-hak pekerja. Lalu bagaimanakah kebijakan investasi dan ketenagakerjaan sesuai dengan ketentuan perundang-undangan yang berlaku. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian hukum yuridis normatif dengan deskriptif analitis. Abstract

The objectives of this study are to: (1) determine the best course of action for the Municipality of Surabaya's Ijo Letter owners in terms of legal certainty so that they can transfer land rights in the future with minimal formalities and at market rates; and (2) conduct a legal analysis pertaining to the terms of fiduciary guarantees and their relationship to the position of IPT as collateral for immovable tangible objects. This kind of study employs normative legal research. The data analysis used is qualitative analysis, which entails examining data derived from legal sources in accordance with doctrines, theories, rules and regulations, laws and principles, expert opinions, or the researchers' own ideas. The study's findings revealed that: (1) IPT (Land Use Permit) or Letter Ijo are permits unrelated to agrarian reform, and in accordance with national land law, which upholds the principle of horizontal separation, the Surabaya City Government is legally in possession of land rights with management rights from the State, while IPT holders are the owners of buildings that have been built on the land. (2) Only the building is authorized as a fiduciary assurance on property having IPT status and complying to the horizontal separation concept. This is in accordance with Surabaya Regional Regulation 3/2016 article 7 letter (c) and the evaluation of structures erected on land with assured IPT status based on their legal standing and future market potential

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan unsur kebudayaan yang terdapat dalam novel Misteri Pantai Mutiara karya Erlita Pratiwi dan implikasinya terhadap media pembelajaran BIPA. Penelitian ini berakar dari pentingnya integrasi unsur kebudayaan dalam pembelajaran BIPA. Hal tersebut untuk mengurangi risiko keterkejutan budaya yang dialami oleh pemelajar saat berinteraksi langsung dengan keragaman tradisi dan sosial masyarakat Indonesia. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data pembacaan berulang dan pencatatan. Temuan utama dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel Misteri Pantai Mutiara karya Erlita Pratiwi mengandung 7 unsur kebudayaan dari Koentjaraningrat. 7 unsur kebudayaan yang ditemukan dalam novel Misteri Pantai Mutiara karya Erlita Pratiwi berfungsi sebagai media pembelajaran pengenalan kebudayaan yang efektif bagi pembelajar BIPA.
