Abstract

This research aims to explore the management and development of productive waqf and its strategies in Islamic boarding schools in Kampar Regency, Riau Province. Waqf is an integral part of the dynamics of Islamic boarding schools. This study is a field research conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection with observation, interviews, and Focus Group Discussion. The data were analyzed using the Qualitative Data Analysis approach with NVivo 12 Plus software. In managing its waqf assets, the Foundation relies on strengthening the organizational system by improving the quality of the nazhir, management of administrative tasks and waqf asset inventory, as well as organizational management. The Waqf Foundation of Al-Ihsan Riau manages waqf through money and cash waqf and develops productive waqf by establishing business units, including Ahsanta Mart, Ahsanta Cafe, Ahsanta Agro, IBS Business Center, Sharia microfinance, and LPG gas stations. To maintain the existence of waqf assets and the sustainability of their benefits, the foundation uses the following strategies: first, building transparency and accountability. Second, optimizing waqf through money is an instrument for accelerating infrastructure and facility development. Third, optimizing cash waqf as an instrument for business development and the independence of the Islamic boarding school. Fourth, optimizing zakat and donation programs for scholarships and human resource development. Fifth, building a waqf ecosystem and partnerships with economic protection policies. The foundation’s assets are charitable waqf aimed at implementing religious education based on Islamic boarding school principles. The benefits of waqf include organizing education based on Islamic boarding schools as the main core competence. This includes nurturing more than 30 mosques and prayer rooms around the Islamic boarding school, providing scholarships to 289 students, collaborating with preachers, utilizing waqf infrastructure for various religious, social, and community activities, providing healthcare services to the Islamic boarding school, and empowering the economy through partnerships and consignment patterns with the surrounding community.

Abstract

The decision to become teacher is greatly influenced by certain motivations such as altruistic, intrinsic, and extrinsic. Examining these motivations influencing individuals’ decisions to become teachers is essential for sustainable professional development. This is because no previous publication has focused on Generation Z’s (Gen Z) extrinsic motivations to pursue teaching profession. Therefore, this study aimed to explore motivations of Gen Z to become teachers in elementary schools. A qualitative analysis was adopted with a focus group discussion method including 58 pre-service teachers learning at the primary school teacher education program. Furthermore, the participants in the analysis were aged 18-22 years and also fell into the Gen Z category. Data obtained from the participants was further analyzed using thematic analysis. The results showed that extrinsic motivations underlying the desire of Gen Z to become teachers originated from the high social respect teaching receives from society, the promise of prosperity, and adequate employment opportunities. Extrinsic motivations also originated from childhood experiences inspired by religious teachings and the parents. The study further emphasized the importance of understanding the participants’ motivations for entering teaching profession to improve recruitment systems, providing motivation, set hours and workloads, as well as welfare systems for Gen Z teachers.

Abstract

This study examines the structure of futuristic environmental narratives as represented in the novel Cerita Bumi Tahun 2683 by Aesna. The purpose of this research is to describe the role of the narrator, the focalization or point of view, and the sequence of the fabula contained in the novel, based on Mieke Bal’s narratology theory. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach within the framework of narratology. The data source in this research is a science fiction novel that explicitly addresses futuristic environmental issues, namely Cerita Bumi Tahun 2683 by Aesna. The research data consist of narrative excerpts that represent futuristic environmental narration. Data collection was conducted using the reading and note-taking technique to obtain data relevant to the research topic. Data analysis employed content analysis based on Mieke Bal’s narratology theory. The findings reveal that the narrator plays roles such as enlivening the story, deepening the content, and influencing the interpretation of the narrative. Furthermore, three types of focalization were identified: zero focalization, internal focalization, and external focalization. In addition, the sequence of the fabula was found to be constructed through events, time, and setting.

Abstract

Adolescence is often referred to as a transitional period from childhood to adulthood. In the digital era, social media usage has become a widespread phenomenon among adolescents, significantly influencing their emotional developmen. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between social media usage and emotional regulation in adolescents. This study used a quantitative correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 147 students were selected using total sampling. Data were collected using the Social Media Intensity Scale (SIPMS) and the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ). Data were analyzed using Chi-Square statistical test. A significant relationship was found between social media usage intensity and adolescents’ emotional regulation (χ² = 28.694, df = 2, p < 0.001), indicating that heavier users tended to exhibit lower emotional regulation. There is a correlation between social media usage intensity and emotional regulation in adolescents. This suggests that excessive social media usage may negatively impact adolescents' emotional stability, emphasizing the need for proper management and regulation of social media use.

Abstract: The learning achievement of Mathematics grade II SDN Doyong II for the 2015/2016 school year are not satisfactory because the average student achievement is still below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). Math is one of the subjects of the most feared by the students.Obstacles may come from teachers and students themselves. Barriers include a lack of teachers can motivate students to be more please Mathematics. Teachers do not understand learning method in accordance with the learning materials. As a teacher should be smart in selecting methods, techniques, and learning models so that teaching and learning can take place with an active, creative, effective, and fun. Average resistance of students, among others: Some students think that mathematics is a subject that is not interesting, difficult, and boring; Math learning process less conducive; Teachers are still often have difficulty in imparting the basic concepts of mathematics to the students, especially the concept of summation of numbers.To improve the competence of students in summing count numbers need to use methods of the invention. By using the "discovery method" students' ability to add a valid whole number is expected to increase. Therefore, this study aims to contribute information and ideas about how the "discovery method" used in study compares the numbers count. Mata pelajaran Matematika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang paling ditakuti oleh siswa.Hambatan dapat berasal dari guru dan siswa itu sendiri. Hambatan dari guru antara lain kurang dapat menumbuhkan motivasi siswa untuk lebih menyenangi mata pelajaran Matematika. Guru kurang memahami metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan materi pembelajaran. Sebagai guru hendaknya pandai dalam memilih metode, teknik, maupun model pembelajaran sehingga proses belajar mengajar dapat berlangsung dengan aktif, kreatif, efektif, dan menyenangkan. Sedang hambatan dari siswa antara lain: Sebagian siswa beranggapan bahwa Matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang tidak menarik, sulit, dan membosankan; Proses pembelajaran Matematika kurang kondusif; Guru masih sering mengalami kesulitan dalam menanamkan konsep-konsep dasar Matematika kepada siswa, khususnya pada konsep penjumlahan bilangan.Untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dalam menjumlahkan bilangan cacah perlu menggunakan metode penemuan. Dengan menggunakan ”Metode Penemuan” kemampuan siswa dalam menjumlahkan bilangan cacah diharapkan dapat meningkat. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan sumbangan informasi dan pemikiran tentang bagaimana ”Metode Penemuan” digunakan dalam pembelajaran membandingkan bilangan cacah. Selain itu juga untuk mengetahui adanya peningkatan prestasi siswa dalam menjumlahkan bilangan  cacah.  Dengan  demikian untuk memperoleh hasil belajar  yang lebih berkualitas maka perlu menggunakan metode penemuan dalam pembelajaran menjumlahkan bilangan cacah. Kata Kunci: metode penemuan, konsep penjumlahan bilangan, matematika

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the principal’s digital leadership transforms learning at SMP Negeri 8 Toboali, South Bangka. Using a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design, the research employed in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation involving the principal, two teachers, and two students. The findings reveal that the principal established a well-defined digital vision, fostered a participatory digital learning culture, and designed professional development strategies that enable teachers to adapt to emerging technologies. Digital-based managerial communication and the strategic use of social media strengthened transparent and collaborative school governance. The study also shows an increase in students’ learning motivation through the integration of digital media, along with the emergence of various local solutions to address infrastructural limitations. Overall, visionary, participatory, and responsive digital leadership serves as a key catalyst in driving learning transformation within educational institutions located in non-urban areas.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit kronis yang banyak dialami oleh lansia dan berkaitan dengan berbagai faktor perilaku maupun kondisi fisiologis, termasuk tingkat pengetahuan, kualitas tidur, serta kemampuan dalam mengendalikan tekanan darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara pengetahuan tentang hipertensi dan kualitas tidur dengan tingkat pengendalian hipertensi pada lansia. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan Cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 50 lansia dari Posyandu Lansia Matahari yang kemudian seluruhnya dijadikan sampel. Instrumen penelitian mencakup kuesioner pengetahuan hipertensi, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) untuk menilai kualitas tidur, serta kuesioner pengendalian hipertensi. Analisis bivariat dilakukan menggunakan uji Chi-Square untuk mengetahui hubungan antara variabel pengetahuan dan kualitas tidur dengan pengendalian hipertensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang baik (94,0%) dan pengendalian hipertensi yang terkendali (90,0%). Namun, lebih dari setengah responden memiliki kualitas tidur yang buruk (54,0%). Untuk hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai p = 0,000 (nilai p<0,05) untuk pengetahuan dengan pengendalian hipertensi dan p = 0,030 (nilai p<0,05) kualitas tidur dengan pengendalian hipertensi sehingga diartikan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dan kualitas tidur dengen pengedalian hipertensi. Dari keseluruhan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan dan kualitas tidur sama-sama memiliki hubungan yang bermakna dengan pengendalian hipertensi.

Abstract

Bronis kukus merupakan salah satu jenis kue yang cukup populer di Indonesia. Upaya inovasi bronis menggunakan tepung ubi ungu dan bekatul beras untuk menghasilkan cita rasa yang unik. Perbandingan tepung ubi ungu dan bekatul beras berpengaruh nyata terhadap volume pengembangan, warna, aroma, rasa dan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tekstur bronis kukus. Metode organoleptik yang digunakan adalah metode uji hedonik untuk parameter warna, aroma, rasa, sementara uji ranking untuk parameter tekstur. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa respon skor warna, aroma dan rasa tertinggi terdapat pada perbandingan tepung ubi ungu 50 % : bekatul beras 50 %, masing-masing dengan nilai rerata 3,88 (kriteria agak disukai), 4,20 (kriteria disukai), 3,32 (kriteria agak disukai). Respon tekstur dengan kriteria paling lembut  terdapat pada perbandingan tepung ubi ungu 20 % : bekatul beras 80 %dengan nilai rerata 1,44.

Abstract

Teacher competence plays a crucial role in improving the quality of education and schools. Therefore, a supportive work environment is essential for its development, leading to improved performance and quality. Teacher competence development is influenced by the organizational psychology of the workplace, which requires optimal implementation and cooperation from all school members. Organizational psychology significantly impacts teacher performance and maximizes results. This study employed qualitative methods with non-test instruments, including in-depth interviews and observations, to understand teachers' perspectives and experiences regarding organizational psychology-based competency development in improving performance in early childhood education (PAUD). The results indicate that a conducive work environment that pays attention to organizational psychology provides a strong foundation for teacher competency development, thereby improving performance, loyalty, and optimizing all aspects of teacher competency.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan karakteristik tokoh Sabari dalam novel Ayah karya Andrea Hirata dan (2) untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan maskulinitas tokoh Sabari dalam novel Ayah karya Andera Hirata dengan kehidupan saat ini. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian sastra, metode yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian kualitatif. Metode penelitian kualitatif ialah metode penelitian yang di dalamnya berisi fenomena ataupun kegiatan yag dijadikan sebuah objek kemudian dari penelitian tersebut dikembangkan menjadi bentuk paragraf yang bersifat deskriptif. Dalam penelitan ini, penyusun meneliti mengenai maskulinitas tokoh Sabari dalam novel Ayah yang kemudian mendeskripsikan data yang diperoleh dari penggalan dan dialog dalam novel tersebut menjadi data yang bersifat kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu menunjukkan bahwa maskulinitas tokoh Sabari tercermin dan tergambar dari karakteristik yang ia punyai. Tokoh Sabari sangat setia kepada pasangannya, rela berkorban, dan tidak menuntut. Dia mempunyai kepekaan social yang sangat tinggi. Pantang menyerah terhadap apa yang dicita-citakan tidak mengenal putus asa. Maskulinitas tokoh Sabari secara karakter juga ditunnjukkan lewat sifat mau mengakkui kesalahan sendiri, tetap menjadi diri sendiri, dan kebaikan-kebaikab dalam bertingkah laku, sabar, jujur, dan pekerja keras, serta bertanggung jawab terhadap segala urusan. Tokoh Sabari juga merupakan tokoh yang sangat menyayangi dan perhatian terhadap keluarga, khususnya kepada anaknya. Hal-hal itulah yang menjadikan Sabari menjadi laki-laki maskulin secara karakteristik. Kata Kunci: Maskulinitas, Sabari, Novel Ayah
