Abstract

The topic of airfoil modification and its impact on aerodynamic performance is a highly debated issue in aerospace engineering circles. This study examines the effect of the NACA 4415 bio-inspired nose airfoil on its aerodynamic performance by adding spinner dolphin and roughtoothed dolphin geometries to the leading edge using the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method at a Reynolds number of Re = 106. Simulations were conducted to analyze changes in the lift coefficient (Cl), drag coefficient (Cd), and moment coefficient (Cm), which serve as indicators of aerodynamic performance and stability. The results show that the baseline NACA 4415 airfoil produces the highest lift and the lowest drag overall, making it suitable for applications requiring maximum lift and minimum drag. Spinner dolphins has a smaller percentage increase in Cd, at 41.933%, compared to the baseline. In contrast, roughtoothed dolphins with an average percentage of 56.004% compared to the baseline exhibit a higher percentage increase in Cd. Conversely, in the Cl data, the percentage decreased in   dolphins has a larger average, namely -14.607%, compared to the baseline, whereas the spinner dolphin type only has an average of -8.713%. In the Cm data, the Roughtoothed Dolphin and Spinner Dolphin have higher and more stable Cm than NACA 4415. This study confirms that bio-inspired modifications can significantly impact aerodynamic performance, depending on operating conditions.

Abstract

In older adults, there is a decline in the ability to adapt to the external environment, accompanied by decreased physiological, cognitive, and psychological functions. These conditions may lead to errors in medication management and use among the elderly. One effort to prevent such problems is the correct implementation of the DAGUSIBU concept (Obtain, Use, Store, and Dispose of medicines). However, the level of knowledge of elderly people regarding DAGUSIBU has not been clearly identified, particularly in Nagari Aur Begalung, Pesisir Selatan Regency. This study aimed to describe the level of knowledge of the elderly community regarding DAGUSIBU medicines in Nagari Aur Begalung. This research employed an observational design with a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire distributed to elderly respondents. The results showed that the majority of elderly respondents had a moderate level of knowledge regarding DAGUSIBU medicines, indicating that their understanding of proper medication management is not yet optimal. Therefore, continuous educational efforts are needed to improve elderly knowledge to ensure appropriate, safe, and rational use of medicines.

Abstract

Posyandu plays an essential role in providing primary health services, particularly for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, infants, and toddlers in stunting prevention efforts. However, an initial assessment in Nagari Pilubang, Sungai Limau District, revealed that the role of Posyandu cadres was not yet optimal due to limited knowledge among cadres and mothers regarding stunting prevention through local food utilization. To address this issue, the Community Partnership Empowerment Program (PKM) was implemented to empower Posyandu cadres in improving health services for pregnant women and toddlers by optimizing local food-based interventions to prevent nutritional problems, especially stunting. The program was conducted over eight months through stages of socialization, training, mentoring, technology application, evaluation, and sustainability. The results showed a significant improvement in cadres’ skills, with 80–85% showing increased post-test scores compared to pre-test. Observations and field practice revealed enhanced knowledge of stunting and nutrition, improved ability to select and utilize local foods, practical skills, communication, leadership, and cadre independence. The program outputs included local food processing products, training modules, intellectual property rights (IPR), scientific publications, and media dissemination. With ongoing collaboration with the Public Health Center and the Health Office, this program is expected to be replicated in other Posyandu across Padang Pariaman Regency.

Abstract

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is increasingly being applied in the context of career guidance and counseling in response to the growing phenomenon of career anxiety and uncertainty in the BANI (Brittle, Anxiety-inducing, Non-linear, and Incomprehensible) era. This study examines the contribution of CBT in helping individuals transition from a state of career anxiety to more rational thinking and stronger career adaptability. The study was conducted using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method on nine articles obtained from the Google Scholar and Publish or Perish databases with the criteria of publications in English and Indonesian in the period 2015–2025. The results show that the consistent application of CBT improves self-efficacy, career maturity, and career adaptability in various population groups, including students and professionals. CBT has been proven effective in reducing career anxiety through cognitive restructuring, strengthening self-control, and developing reflective and realistic thinking patterns about one's career future. In addition, CBT also strengthens the four main dimensions of career adaptability concern, control, curiosity, and confidence which form the basis of psychological resilience in facing changes in the world of work. Based on these findings, this study confirms that the integration of CBT into career guidance services is an effective strategy for shaping a generation that thinks rationally, is adaptive, and is resilient in facing career dynamics in the BANI era.

Abstract

Background: The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, particularly large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT and other AIs, has fundamentally reshaped the landscape of modern academic research, raising both opportunities and critical challenges for higher education institutions worldwide. Aim: This study systematically maps the contexts in which AI has been applied in modern academic research during 2015–2025 and examines how AI has influenced the process and outputs of educational research over the past decade. Method: A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design was employed, guided by the PRISMA protocol and PICOC framework. A total of 5,106 articles were identified during the initial ScienceDirect database search. Following a rigorous multi-stage screening process based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, 19 articles were selected for final analysis. Results and Discussion: The findings reveal that AI has been applied across a broad and continuously expanding range of academic contexts, including automated writing assessment, citation prediction, AI-generated instructional content, academic integrity evaluation, and AI literacy development in academic libraries, with ChatGPT and similar LLMs serving as the primary catalysts of this expansion from 2022 onward. The influence of AI on educational research processes and outputs is simultaneously accelerative and disruptive: while AI demonstrably enhances efficiency, consistency, and productivity, it also poses serious threats to assessment integrity, authorship norms, and equity of access, particularly for international students and institutions from the Global South. Conclusion: AI is not merely a technical tool but a transformative force that demands systemic, ethical, and pedagogical responses across the entire academic ecosystem, including assessment redesign, integrated AI literacy curricula, and the development of coherent global ethical governance frameworks for AI use in academic research.

Abstract

Aim: This study aims to examine the CIPP evaluation model as a decision-making tool in the development of Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling programs through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The review was conducted on 12 reputable scientific articles selected based on the PRISMA protocol from a scholarly search engine, namely Google Scholar. Data analysis utilized thematic synthesis to systematically identify patterns of findings across studies. The results of the study addressed two main research questions. First, the CIPP model has been widely applied in various contexts of Guidance and Counseling (BK) programs within educational institutions, demonstrating the ability to comprehensively diagnose program conditions across all components: context, input, process, and product. Second, the CIPP model significantly contributes as a decision-making tool in Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling programs, both structurally in evaluating program aspects and strategically in supporting data-driven counselor accountability. These findings imply that the consistent application of the CIPP model can improve the quality of guidance and counseling services, strengthen counselors’ professional competencies, and provide an empirical foundation for educational policy-making oriented toward the optimal development of students.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen family nutrition literacy regarding complementary feeding practices (MP-ASI), the utilization of local food resources, and the rational use of multivitamins and simple pharmaceutical products as part of stunting prevention efforts in Nagari Sungai Kunyit Barat, South Solok Regency. The program was implemented using a Participatory Action Research approach, involving 40 participants consisting of mothers of young children, community health volunteers (posyandu cadres), and local administrative stakeholders. Evaluation data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ knowledge and practical skills in age-appropriate complementary feeding, the utilization of animal-based protein sources (such as eggs and fish), and the rational use of multivitamins as supportive supplements rather than substitutes for main meals. Operationally, participants were able to design varied menus based on local food resources, and posyandu cadres demonstrated readiness to replicate the educational activities within the community. Overall, the activity demonstrates that community-based education integrating nutrition and community pharmacy literacy can effectively strengthen family capacity for stunting prevention.
