Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana umpan balik peserta didik dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas PjBL serta menganalisis respons peserta didik terhadap penerapan model PjBL dalam konteks materi perubahan wujud benda. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus, yang melibatkan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumen untuk mengumpulkan data dari guru dan peserta didik kelas IV SD yang menerapkan PjBL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umpan balik peserta didik berfungsi efektif dalam menyesuaikan metode pengajaran dan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep-konsep abstrak seperti perubahan wujud benda. Penerapan PjBL yang didukung umpan balik juga meningkatkan keterlibatan, motivasi, dan keterampilan abad ke-21 peserta didik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi umpan balik peserta didik dalam pembelajaran berbasis PjBL efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan keterlibatan peserta didik. Integrating student feedback into PjBL for teaching phase changes of matter Abstract: This study aims to identify how learner feedback can be used to improve the quality of PjBL and analyze learner responses to the application of the PjBL model in the context of material changes in the form of objects. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, which involved observations, interviews, and documents to collect data from teachers and learners of grade IV SD who implemented PjBL. The results showed that learner feedback was effective in adjusting the teaching method and improving the understanding of abstract concepts, such as changes in the form of objects. The implementation of feedback-supported PjBL also improved learners' engagement, motivation, and 21st-century skills. This study concludes that the integration of learner feedback in PjBL-based learning is effective in improving learning quality and learner engagement.

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools is still dominated by conventional methods that do not involve students actively, especially in understanding the material of the human digestive system. Limited teaching aids and lack of technology integration are challenges in creating interesting and effective learning. This study aims to analyze the needs and design the development of digital teaching materials based on the RADEC model assisted by Augmented Reality (AR) technology to improve conceptual understanding and active participation of students. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method with a survey design. The research subjects consisted of 41 fifth grade students and three fifth grade teachers. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires using instruments such as observation sheets, interview guidelines, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that respondents stated that they needed interactive digital teaching materials based on RADEC and AR. Learning in the classroom is still teacher-centered, minimal technology integration, and limited teaching aids, so it is not optimal in encouraging active student involvement. The conclusion of this study confirms the need for innovative digital teaching materials to overcome the limitations of conventional methods and improve the quality of science learning. The implication of this research is the importance of developing RADEC and AR-based teaching materials to support students' motivation, conceptual understanding, and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Abstract: Human behavior is increasingly changing along with the massive development of technology to the point that it can change how we communicate. Unfortunately, many teachers are still not proficient in using technology, making learning feel less concrete and exciting for students. The aims of this research are to develop interactive media based on Ispring, to describe the feasibility of the Golwan learning application, to describe the practicality of interactive media based on Ispring and the use of the additional website 2 apk android builder application as the final result of this learning application. This research method uses MDLC (multimedia Development Life Cycle) with six stages: concept, design, material collection, creation, testing, and distribution, by using data collection instruments in the form of questionnaires, unstructured interviews, and documentation. And the test subjects were for fourth-grade students at SDN 2 Karangsuwung. The research results state that Android-based interactive multimedia applications are suitable for use. By fulfilling the media expert test percentage of 83%. The percentage of assessment by material experts was obtained at 90%. The percentage assessment of prospective use is 91%. Response from potential users with limited testing got a percentage of 90%. What is classified as interactive multimedia (Golwan) is declared appropriate or very good as a learning media tool. Keywords: interactive multimedia, classifying animals based on their food, ispring, website 2 apk android builder Abstrak: Tingkah laku manusia kian berubah seiring masifnya perkembangan teknologi sampai bisa mengubah cara berkomunikasi dan cara mengajar di kelas. Sayangnya masih banyak guru yang belum mahir dalam penggunaan teknologi. Menjadikan pembelajaran dirasa kurang konkrit dan menarik bagi peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media interaktif berasis Ispring, mendeskripsikan kelayakan aplikasi pembelajaran Golwan mendeskripsikan kepraktisan media interaktif berbasis Ispring serta penggunaan aplikasi tambahan website 2 apk android builder sebagai hasil akhir aplikasi pembelajaran ini. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan MDLC (multimedia Development Life Cycle) dengan enam tahapan : konsep, desain, pengumpulan materi, pembuatan, pengujian, pendistribusian. Dengan menggunakan instrumen pengumpulan data berupa angket, wawancara tidak terstruktur, dokumentasi. Dan subjek uji coba kepada siswa kela IV di SDN 2 Karangsuwung. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa aplikasi multimedia interaktif berbasis android layak untuk dipergunakan. Dengan memenuhi presentase uji ahli media sebesar 83%. Penilaian presentase uji ahli materi sebesar 90%. Penilaian presentase dari calon penggunaan sebesar 91%. Serta respon dari calon pengguna yang dilakukan dengan uji terbatas mendapatkan presentase 90%. Abstract

Cultural literacy is an essential competence for students in the 21st century to navigate globalization while preserving regional cultural identity. The lack of students’ knowledge and concern for local culture can weaken national character values. This study aims to analyze the cultural literacy skills of primary school students in science, environment, technology, and society (IPAS) learning, focusing on conceptual understanding, knowledge of one’s own culture, and the implementation of cultural awareness. This research employed a quantitative descriptive method involving 30 fifth-grade primary school students as research subjects. Data were collected through tests and questionnaires, then analyzed using SPSS version 26 to determine the mean, maximum-minimum values, validity, reliability, and normality tests. The results showed that all instruments were valid and reliable, and the data were normally distributed. Based on the average results, 60% of students were categorized as moderate and 40% as low in their cultural literacy skills through the test, while the questionnaire results showed 66.7% moderate and 33.3% low. These findings suggest the importance of developing adaptive, culture-based learning models to enhance cultural literacy skills among primary school students.

Abstract

This study examines the challenges elementary school students face in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) descriptive writing, a crucial skill often perceived as one of the most complex aspects of language learning. It was conducted on 39 fifth-grade public elementary school students in Pacet sub-district, Bandung Regency, to assess students’ writing abilities through test and non-test instruments. The research employed a descriptive methodology using purposive participant selection on the following criteria: schools that use the Independent curriculum, English is taught by a teacher who is a graduate of English education, and the school is one of the representatives of the sub-district, as determined by the elementary school supervisor. The tests evaluated key aspects of descriptive writing, including format and content, organization and coherence, and sentence construction and vocabulary, while structured questionnaires explored students' difficulties and influencing factors. The study aimed to identify the specific challenges students encounter in writing descriptive texts and uncover factors impacting their performance to inform the development of more effective instructional strategies. The findings show that many students struggle with content development, coherence, and grammar. Corpus analysis reveals frequent issues such as unclear phrasing, code-mixing, and overly brief, highlighting gaps in vocabulary use and sentence construction. Additionally, the questionnaire results revealed that a significant number of students encountered challenges in various aspects of descriptive writing, particularly in vocabulary use, grammar, sentence structure, and idea development. These findings underscore the need for targeted, collaborative, and technology-supported instructional strategies to address students’ specific difficulties and enhance their proficiency and confidence in English descriptive writing.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create (RADEC) learning model in fostering collaboration skills among elementary school students during electricity science lessons. Collaboration is defined as a group effort aimed at achieving a shared goal. A descriptive qualitative research method was employed, involving 24 sixth-grade students from an elementary school in Bandung City, Indonesia. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets. The results indicated that students’ collaboration skills averaged 84% based on observations and 82% based on questionnaire responses, both categorized as good. The assessment was based on indicators of collaboration, including positive interdependence, face-to-face interaction, individual accountability, group communication, and group processes. These findings suggest that the RADEC learning model can serve as a useful approach for teachers to develop students' collaborative abilities. Furthermore, this model promotes student engagement and teamwork, enhancing the overall quality of learning experiences in elementary education.

Abstract

This study explores the integration of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in mathematics education by mapping research trends on mathematical critical thinking through a bibliometric analysis of 791 Scopus-indexed publications from 2021 to April 2025. Employing a five-stage bibliometric protocol and VOSviewer software, the analysis visualizes keyword co-occurrence, research clusters, and networks among authors, institutions, and countries. The findings reveal a consistent increase in research interest, with a publication peak in 2024, reflecting the growing recognition of PBL as an effective approach to cultivating higher-order thinking skills. Indonesia emerged as the most productive country, with significant contributions from scholars such as Zubaidah S. and institutions like Universitas Negeri Malang and Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Dominant keywords include “problem-based learning” and “critical thinking”, which are strongly associated with other active learning strategies such as project-based learning, flipped classrooms, and collaborative learning. Importantly, the most influential articles predominantly originate from medical and nursing education, underscoring the interdisciplinary potential of PBL. This finding offers valuable insight for mathematics education researchers to adapt evidence-based approaches from other disciplines to strengthen theoretical and practical frameworks in their field. The study underscores the relevance of PBL in addressing 21st-century educational challenges and identifies potential research gaps in areas such as early mathematics education and qualitative approaches. The study not only highlights global engagement with PBL as a 21st-century learning model but also provides a roadmap for future investigations into unexplored areas such as early-grade mathematics education, qualitative methods, and digital PBL supported by artificial intelligence. By bridging pedagogical insights across disciplines, this research encourages more integrative, innovative, and impactful practices in advancing critical thinking through mathematics.  Keywords: problem-based learning, critical thinking, bibliometric analysis, mathematics education, VOSviewer.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya penggunaan media yang  variatif menyebabkan proses belajar terkesan monoton sehingga siswa kurang memahami materi yang disampaikan guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk bernama media PENDA yang dapat dijadijkan inovasi dalam pembelajaran IPA di SD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan jenis RnD (Research and Development) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Prosedur pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui wawancara dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis data kualitatif yang diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dan analisis data kuantitatif dari angket dan tes yang kemudian dilakukan penilaian berdasarkan skala Likert. Hasil uji validasi oleh ahli materi menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan sebesar 90% dengan kategori sangat layak. Sementara itu, validasi dari ahli media mendapatkan persentase 94%, juga dalam kategori sangat layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di SD. Selanjutnya, uji coba yang dilakukan pada 28 siswa menghasilkan skor sebesar 91,96%. Dengan demikian media PENDA terbukti efektif dan pantas diimplementasikan dalam proses belajar di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran video animasi dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep peserta didik pada materi  perubahan benda. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi pengujian pretest dan posttest, populasi yang digunakan yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas VI di salah satu SDN daerah Kecamatan Darmaraja Kabupaten Sumedang sebanyak 28 peserta didik. Analisis data menggunakan SPSS versi 25 untuk menguji normalitas, uji paired sample t-test, dan nilai n-gain. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa ada peningkatan signifikan dalam nilai rata-rata penguasaan konsep, menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 54.6533 termasuk dalam kategori sedang, dengan nilai N-Gain minimum 4,35 dan maksimum 80,56. Karena nilai N-gain berada pada rentang 0,3 N-gain < 0,7 maka kategori peningkatan termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang.  Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran video animasi dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep peserta didik pada materi  perubahan benda sehingga menjadi lebih efektif, menarik dan mempermudah penguasaan konsep peserta didik.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep penting dimiliki siswa untuk menghubungkan setiap konsep agar mampu menyelesaikan permasalahan yang terdapat di dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pemahaman konsep IPA rendah di jenjang sekolah dasar karena tidak diimbangi dengan media pembelajaran yang mendukung, khususnya pada materi rotasi bumi. Rotasi bumi merupakan materi yang asbtrak dan sulit dihadirkan di kelas sehingga guru perlu melaksanakan pembelajaran dan menggunakan media yang membantu untuk menyampaikan pesan yang abstrak menjadi konkret. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan media video pembelajaran, serta perbedaan pemahaman konsep siswa pada pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan video pembelajaran dengan pembelajaran langsung (direct instruction). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimental) dengan rancangan kelompok non-equivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan media video pembelajaran di kelas eksperimen meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas VI pada materi rotasi bumi.
