Abstract

This study aims to analyze various forms of teacher career development and their impact on enhancing professionalism in primary schools. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach through library research, the study examines relevant national and international scientific literature and empirical data from elementary schools. The findings reveal that career development programs for teachers include curriculum workshops, digital learning training, professional certification, promotions, mentoring, classroom action research, and participation in academic forums. Teachers actively engaged in these activities show significant improvement in their lesson planning, technology integration, classroom management, and student assessment practices. The study also finds a strong correlation between the intensity of career development and the level of teacher professionalism. Organizational support, school leadership, and affirmative educational policies play a vital role in strengthening this relationship. The study recommends the implementation of continuous, needs-based career development systems to foster adaptive, reflective, and innovative teaching professionals in the era of educational transformation.

Abstract

Improvements in the quality of education in Indonesia are highly dependent on the competence and character of educators as the spearhead of learning system transformation. This article examines the concept and implementation of human resource management (HRM) in the education sector using an integrity-based and impact-based approach. By highlighting issues such as low professional integrity, competency gaps, and weak outcome-based evaluation systems, this paper proposes HR development strategies that are not only focused on administrative performance but also on tangible contributions to the transformation of students and society. This approach includes values-based recruitment, transformational training, and performance evaluation based on social change. Case studies from the Guru Penggerak program and lessons learned from international practices demonstrate that educators managed with principles of integrity and impact orientation can create an ethical, transformative, and sustainable learning environment. This article recommends reforms in education HR management policies to achieve an advanced and globally competitive Indonesian education system.

Abstract

Studi ini bermaksud untuk menyelidiki manajemen strategis lembaga pendidikan di era digital ini, menunjukkan dengan tepat kesulitan yang dihadapi, dan menyelidiki jalan potensial untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan saran kepada para manajer pendidikan tentang cara membuat dan menjalankan strategi yang secara efektif mengatasi dinamika dan perubahan era digital. Penelitian ini menggabungkan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur, dan teknik analisis konten digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa transformasi digital sistem pembelajaran menghadirkan sejumlah peluang dan masalah yang harus ditangani dengan baik oleh institusi pendidikan. Kebutuhan untuk mengevaluasi teknologi infrastruktur, memberikan pelatihan berkelanjutan kepada para guru, serta memperbarui peraturan dan kurikulum terkait teknologi merupakan beberapa kendala utama, keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan, bantuan teknis yang memadai, dan pendekatan yang mudah beradaptasi sangat penting untuk mengatasi kendala ini. Namun, era digital menghadirkan beberapa keuntungan, termasuk gamifikasi dan teknik pembelajaran interaktif, analisis untuk melacak kemajuan siswa, personalisasi pembelajaran, dan akses ke sumber daya pembelajaran di seluruh dunia. Dengan memanfaatkan peluang ini, institusi pendidikan dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, merampingkan operasi, dan mempersonalisasi instruksi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Pendekatan yang efisien untuk mengatasi hambatan dan memanfaatkan peluang akan memfasilitasi adaptasi yang sukses di era digital ini, memaksimalkan hasil pendidikan dan pengalaman belajar

Abstract

This article discusses the Merdeka Curriculum as a new educational policy in Indonesia aimed at providing flexibility in the learning process. This curriculum is driven by the need for an adaptive education system that responds to changing times and the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to describe the definition, foundation, teacher roles, challenges, and implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in schools. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach. The findings indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum offers an optimal space for the development of students' potential but still faces challenges in practical implementation. The results show that curriculum development plays a crucial role in educational institutions, and teachers must have the ability to deliver instruction effectively to realize the curriculum. Based on the analysis and conclusions, the author suggests that teachers should be able to keep up with technological advances, implement a curriculum that is constantly evolving, and prioritize tasks that need immediate completion.

Abstract

This article examines the impact of the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum (K-13) on the management and quality of learning in schools. K-13, introduced in 2013/2014, emphasizes a scientific approach and aims to balance soft skills and hard skills, including attitudes, skills, and knowledge, through student-centered and authentic learning. Effective implementation requires systematic management involving planning, implementation, control, and evaluation, as well as synergistic collaboration between principals and teachers. However, its implementation faces challenges such as limited teacher training, disparity in facilities, lack of a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation system, and difficulty in student adaptation. Nevertheless, the implementation of K-13 shows a positive and significant influence on the management and quality of learning, encouraging a more structured, innovative, and competency-oriented process. Success depends on strengthening teacher capacity, equalizing facilities, and actively involving all stakeholders to achieve the curriculum's goals in producing a productive, creative, innovative, and character-based generation.

Abstract

The teacher is someone who has a very important role and is related to the success and quality of education. One of them is the successful implementation of the curriculum. The purpose of this study was motivated by the lack of understanding of some teachers regarding the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMP Negeri 1 Kubung, because the independent curriculum was only implemented at SMP Negeri 1 Kubung at the start of learning in 2022. This study aims to examine the influence of the teacher's role on the implementation of the independent curriculum in Kubung 1 Public Middle School. This type of research is quantitative research. The analysis technique used is Simple Linear Regression. The results of the study show that: there is a positive and significant influence on the role of the teacher on the implementation of the independent curriculum, where tcount > ttable (5.563 > 2.048) is obtained with a significant level of ? = 0.05.

Abstract

Perubahan kurikulum merupakan bagian tak terpisahkan dari dinamika sistem pendidikan yang bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Namun, dalam praktiknya, perubahan ini seringkali menimbulkan tantangan bagi para guru, terutama dalam hal adaptasi terhadap pendekatan, materi, dan metode pembelajaran baru. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesulitan-kesulitan utama yang dihadapi guru dalam beradaptasi dengan perubahan kurikulum serta menawarkan strategi dan solusi yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengatasinya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka dan wawancara terbatas dengan beberapa guru di tingkat sekolah dasar dan menengah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kurangnya pelatihan, keterbatasan sumber daya, serta resistensi terhadap perubahan merupakan faktor utama penghambat adaptasi. Untuk itu, artikel ini merekomendasikan penyediaan pelatihan berkelanjutan, penguatan dukungan institusional, serta pengembangan komunitas belajar profesional sebagai langkah strategis dalam mendukung guru. Diharapkan, strategi dan solusi yang ditawarkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi pemangku kebijakan dan institusi pendidikan dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih adaptif dan responsif terhadap perubahan kurikulum demi peningkatan kualitas pendidikan secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

Kurikulum merupakan salah satu komponen utama dalam sistem pendidikan yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari administrasi pendidikan. Sebagai bagian dari proses manajemen pendidikan, kurikulum berfungsi sebagai pedoman dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran sekaligus instrumen kebijakan dalam pencapaian tujuan pendidikan. Artikel ini membahas secara komprehensif posisi kurikulum dalam kerangka administrasi pendidikan, mulai dari konsep dasar hingga implementasinya di sekolah. Melalui pendekatan teoretis dan kajian literatur, ditunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan pendidikan sangat bergantung pada bagaimana kurikulum dirancang, dilaksanakan, dan dievaluasi secara sistematis oleh manajemen pendidikan. Kurikulum Merdeka menjadi contoh nyata integrasi kurikulum dalam administrasi pendidikan modern yang adaptif dan partisipatif.

Artikel ini membahas tantangan dan peluang yang muncul akibat perubahan teknologi tersebut. Di satu sisi, kurikulum harus disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan zaman; di sisi lain, teknologi memberi peluang untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon that shows there are still employees whose performance and work motivation are not optimal in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. The purpose of this study is to obtain data and information about employee performance, employee work motivation, and whether there is a relationship between work motivation and employee performance in carrying out duties at the Education and Culture Office of South Tangerang City. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational approach and proportional random sampling technique with a total of 112 employees as respondents. The research instrument is a questionnaire with a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results show that employee work motivation is in the very good category (90%), and employee performance is also in the very good category (91%). There is a significant relationship between work motivation and employee performance, with r count 0.549 > r table 0.184 and t count 6.880 > t table 1.658 at a significance level of 95%. In conclusion, work motivation has a significant effect on employee performance at the Education and Culture Office of South Tangerang City.
