Abstract

21st-century education demands that students have strong literacy and numeracy skills as a foundation for critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making. However, various national and international assessment results indicate that students' literacy and numeracy skills in Indonesia are still in the low category. The purpose of this study was to obtain information and analyze project-based immersive learning in improving student literacy and numeracy at SMPN 3 Rancaekek, which focused on the planning process, implementation, evaluation, follow-up plans, obstacles and solutions encountered. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. The results illustrate that in the planning stage (Plan), starting with identifying initial problems, formulating learning objectives, compiling an In-Depth Learning Implementation Plan (RPPM), and determining the project theme. The implementation phase (Do) begins with the presentation of the problem and an introduction to the project, information and data collection, data analysis and development of project products, presentation of results, and student activity outcomes. The evaluation phase measures improvements in literacy and numeracy through project tests and assessments, including literacy and numeracy test results, assessment of the project process and product, and student reflection. As a follow-up plan (Act), enrichment programs, remedial classes, and teacher reflections are implemented. Challenges include limited time to complete the entire project, significant differences in student literacy and numeracy skills, limited supporting facilities, uneven collaboration, and teachers' unfamiliarity with authentic assessment and project rubrics. Solutions to address these challenges include improved time management, differentiated learning, utilizing alternative resources, strengthening collaboration, and improving teacher competency.

Abstract

This mini research aims to describe how coding-based learning can improve the learning focus of early childhood students at TK Anak Ceria, Bandung. The study is motivated by the low attention span observed during conventional learning activities and the increasing need for digital literacy and computational thinking in the digital era. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Coding activities were introduced using unplugged methods, simple robotics, and visual applications such as ScratchJr. The PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) management cycle was applied to ensure that the learning process remained systematic and continuously improved. The results indicate that coding activities enhance children’s attention, persistence, and ability to follow sequential instructions. Exploratory and visually engaging coding tasks helped children maintain their focus longer compared to traditional learning methods. This study provides preliminary evidence of coding’s potential as an innovative approach for early childhood education and serves as a foundation for developing technology-based learning management models in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of artificial intelligence-based learning management in improving students' critical thinking skills at SDN 2 Selaawi, Maniis District, Purwakarta Regency. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, involving the principal, teachers, school operators, and students as informants. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. After data collection, the data were analyzed interactively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that artificial intelligence-based learning at SDN 2 Selaawi has been implemented based on four management functions: planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating or monitoring, but has not been optimal. The planning aspect focuses on targeting students' critical thinking competencies, organizing ICT resources, implementing through the use of adaptive platforms, and process-based evaluation. Field findings indicate that the use of artificial intelligence can improve students' critical thinking skills in evaluating information and formulating solutions independently. Although still hampered by teachers' digital competence and stable connectivity, school management commitment is a key factor in the success of this program. The conclusion of this study confirms that effective management of the use of artificial intelligence can create an interactive learning ecosystem and stimulate critical thinking skills in elementary school students.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of collaborative academic supervision at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahul Ulum, North Serpong District, South Tangerang City, as a strategy to enhance teaching quality and graduate outcomes. Collaborative academic supervision was conducted based on the management principles proposed by Terry (2021), namely planning, organizing, directing, and controlling. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the Atlas.ti 9 software to generate a network view visualization illustrating the relationships among key supervision categories, such as understanding, process, participation, obstacles, evaluation, and benefits. The results indicate that this supervision significantly improved teacher performance, the variety of teaching methods, the use of technology, and student engagement in learning. The evaluation revealed an increase in teacher ratings from 54.5% rated B and 45.5% rated A in the first semester to 27.3% rated B and 72.7% rated A in the subsequent semester, reflecting a 27.27% improvement from B to A. This supervision also fostered a conducive, innovative, and student-centered learning environment, enhancing community satisfaction with the quality of education. This study recommends collaborative supervision as an effective approach to support the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka in madrasahs.

Abstract

Academic supervision is a strategic agenda in improving the quality of learning in elementary schools. Teachers, as the spearhead of education, need systematic assistance so that their performance continues to improve. This study aims to describe POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling)-based academic supervision management carried out by school principals in improving teacher performance at SDN Pekojan 05 and SDN Kalideres 03 in West Jakarta. The research method used a qualitative approach with a case study design, employing observation, interviews, and documentation studies involving school principals, teachers, and school supervisors. The results show that academic supervision planning is not yet fully based on the actual needs of teachers; organization remains relatively simple, with the principal playing a dominant role; implementation tends to be formal and administrative, characterized by one-way communication; and supervision focuses more on administrative compliance than on substantive guidance. Limited time, resources, and instruments were the main constraints; however, there was a commitment from the principals to maintain the continuity of supervision. The research conclusion emphasizes that the application of POAC has the potential to strengthen collaboration, accountability, and the effectiveness of academic supervision when accompanied by participatory planning, a structured supervision team, dialogical implementation, and continuous evaluation. It is hoped that this research will contribute to the development of more adaptive, reflective, and sustainable academic supervision policies and practices to improve teacher performance and the quality of learning in elementary schools.
