Abstract

Rural tourism is a tourism activity where the tourist experience is related to various nature-based activities, agriculture, and lifestyle in the countryside. South Sumatra itself has at least 123 tourist villages spread across several districts and cities. There are many potential tourist villages in the city of Palembang, one of which is the tuan kentang village. Tuan kentang village is located on Jl. Aiptu a wahab kec. Seberang Ulu I kota Palembang.Tuan kentang is known as the "village of fabrics" because there are more than a hundred traditional fabric craftsmen living in this area. The focus of this research is to find out how to optimize the development of tourist attractions in the tuan kentang villages. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Tuan kentang tourism village has considerable potential to become a tourist destination that has attraction and uniqueness. Of the many potentials in this village area, it is hoped that the government and the community can work together in improving and developing this area. The role of the community is needed to develop the potential in this village, especially in anticipating the existing obstacles, including the active role of the community in helping to promote this village and fostering a sense of ownership and awareness of this tourist village. Then it is hoped that the local government of Palembang city can support everything in an effort to optimize the development of tourist attractions in this Tuan kentang tourist village.

Abstract

Character education plays a crucial role in restoring national identity and fostering the development of a new Indonesian society. This research employed a literature review approach, drawing data from articles published in Sinta and Scopus indexed journals. The content analysis method was used to analyze the collected data. The findings indicate that nurturing students' character is a complex and gradual process that demands continuous effort and thoughtful reflection. Ethical decisions made during this process must be translated into practical actions, enabling individuals to become practical and wise in their conduct. Transforming these actions into habits and shaping one's character or disposition takes considerable time. Character education necessitates the involvement of multiple stakeholders, including families, schools, and communities. Reconnecting the educational networks and relationships among these three environments is the first crucial step. The successful formation of educational values and character traits relies on the harmonious and continuous interaction between these three contexts. Recognizing this reality, it becomes evident that a holistic development of student personality requires a strong influence from family, school, and society

Abstract

This study was motivated by the researcher’s interest in the Teras Ngabaca community’s concern for the education of children in the Kalijaga neighborhood. The Teras Ngabaca community’s concern for education stems from the observation that many children are not yet proficient readers. Thus, Teras Ngabaca serves as a facilitator for the community, helping to improve their quality of life by providing a space for non-formal education. This study aims to identify how the Teras Ngabaca community works to improve children’s literacy and empower the community in Kalijaga Village, Cirebon City. The research method used in this study is qualitative, employing a case study approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and a literature review. The results show that the Teras Ngabaca community’s strategy for improving children’s literacy begins with an introduction to the alphabet, followed by the “Buku Bacalah” series (volumes 1–3), and then proceeds to storybooks or folktales. Teras Ngabaca also employs a one-on-one teaching strategy.

Abstract

Community empowerment based on local potential plays an important role in improving village welfare. The village of Cikawung in Garut has a variety of spice commodities such as nutmeg, cloves, ginger, palm sugar, and cardamom, which are local economic potentials. This study aims to identify the economic potential of Cikawung's spice community, reveal the factors hindering empowerment in the spice sector (particularly road access, facilities, and human resources), and analyze the role of participatory empowerment models in increasing community capacity. The research method was a qualitative case study with a participatory approach; data was obtained through field observations, in-depth interviews with community leaders (Mr. Yadi and Mr. Rahyat), and documentation. The main results show that the potential of local spices in Cikawung has not been optimally utilized. Significant obstacles include inadequate road infrastructure, limited production facilities, and low access to knowledge and motivation among local human resources. Meanwhile, the application of a participatory model involving residents from planning to product marketing appears to be able to increase a sense of ownership and business sustainability. It is concluded that to maximize the potential of Cikawung spices, inclusive empowerment programs, continuous training, and strengthening of marketing networks are needed so that spice management becomes a source of sustainable income.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process and outcomes of implementing character education teaching materials that integrate the local wisdom of the Talang Mamak Tribe (STM) in order to mitigate moral degradation among adolescents. The research adopts a Mixed Methods approach with an Exploratory Sequential design, integrating qualitative ethnographic exploration and quantitative quasi-experimental testing. The qualitative phase involved participatory observation and in-depth interviews with key community informants, focusing on fundamental rituals such as Begawai, Bulian, and death ceremonies to extract core ethical values. These values were reconstructed into teaching materials that combine the philosophy of Alam Takambang Jadi Guru with the National Curriculum, bridging traditional wisdom and contemporary educational relevance. The quantitative phase tested the effectiveness of the teaching materials using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group. Data analysis employing paired and independent sample t-tests, as well as N-gain calculations, revealed statistically significant improvements in moral self-efficacy and ethical behavior. The experimental group achieved an N-gain score of 0.6257 (high category) and 100% completeness above the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM 75), indicating strong cognitive and affective internalization of local values. Findings suggest that ethnopedagogical teaching materials serve as an effective instrument for pattern maintenance (latency), internal boundary management, and value deformalization, allowing students to navigate ethical challenges in modern and digital contexts while remaining rooted in cultural identity. The study confirms that integrating local wisdom into formal education is not merely a cultural preservation effort but a forward-looking strategy for character formation, moral resilience, and social cohesion.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of online loans on the consumptive behavior of students in the city of Bandung. Online loans have become a significant phenomenon in today's modern society, especially among students vulnerable to the influence of the digital economy. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The data collection techniques used were observation and in-depth interviews. There were 12 informants in this study, consisting of 10 key informants who are students and two supporting informants. The research was conducted at the UPI Setiabudhi campus and Pasundan University in the city of Bandung. The theoretical analysis uses Ulrich Beck's concept of the risk society to analyze changes in modern society that are increasingly filled with complex risks in the context of online loans and the consumptive behavior of students. The results of this research indicate that online loans significantly impact students' consumptive behavior. Factors such as ease of access, product promotions, and social pressure encourage students to take online loans, thereby influencing their consumptive habits. Based on the research results, students in Bandung use the money from online loans for consumptive and hedonistic needs and lifestyles, such as hanging out, indulging, vacations, attending concerts, nightlife entertainment (clubbing), buying electronic goods, and showcasing possessions on social media.

Abstract

Indonesia as a big country certainly is not free from various problems, one of which is poverty. Poverty in Indonesia has strong effect on the welfare of Indonesian citizens. “Program Keluarga Harapan” is a government program as an effort to reduce poverty in Indonesia. The purposes of this research were: (1) To determine the factors which caused conflict among the beneficiaries in Patikraja, Banyumas Regency, Central Javs; (2) To determine the role of social caseworker in managing conflicts on Program Keluarga Harapan beneficiaries in Patikraja, Banyumas regency. Methods used in this research was case study. Data collection techniques which were used in this study were observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this research were factors caused conflicts were the limited quota of the “Program Keluarga Harapan” and the social jealousy from the citizens who were not belong to the beneficiaries. Furthermore, the role of social caseworker in managing conflict on the Program Kelarga Harapan beneficiaries in Patikraja, Banyumas Regency, Central Java was by conductiong a mediation which used a strategy of communication and strongly hold on to the mediator principles.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang pendidikan multikultural di sekolah menengah pertama umumnya masih terfokus pada kurikulum nasional atau pendekatan universal, tanpa secara khusus mengeksplorasi bagaimana kearifan lokal dapat diintegrasikan secara sistemik untuk merespons krisis toleransi dan civic problem seperti sentimen kelompok serta menurunnya rasa saling menghormati. Penelitian ini mengisi gap tersebut dengan kebaruan pada eksplorasi pola integrasi pendidikan multikultural berbasis kearifan lokal dalam konteks SMP Negeri di Kota Mataram, wilayah dengan heterogenitas etnis (Sasak, Samawa, Mbojo, Bali) yang belum banyak dijadikan sebagai lokus studi kasus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pola integrasi pendidikan multikultural serta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya dengan memanfaatkan kearifan lokal. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus digunakan, melibatkan guru, kepala sekolah, dan siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis dengan triangulasi. Temuan pertama, integrasi pendidikan multikultural dilakukan melalui kegiatan intrakurikuler berbasis kearifan lokal. Kedua, melalui budaya sekolah seperti kegiatan IMTAQ inklusif dan program "Sabtu Budaya". Faktor pendukung: komitmen kepala sekolah, kompetensi multikultural guru, keterlibatan orang tua dan tokoh adat, serta kebijakan dinas pendidikan. Faktor penghambat: minimnya pelatihan guru, kurangnya sumber belajar baku, tantangan globalisasi, serta fasilitas sekolah yang tidak setara. Implikasi teoretis memperkuat konsep pendidikan kewarganegaraan multikultural berbasis kearifan lokal, sedangkan secara praktis, pembelajaran perlu dirancang secara integratif dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal untuk menujudkan sikap toleransi siswa dalam merespons krisis identitas kebangsaan

Abstract

This research is entitled The Use of Middle School Social Sciences Teaching Materials Containing Multicultural Life Material in Singkawang City. This research aims to find out what form of social studies teaching materials are used in junior high school social studies learning in Singkawang City and what the material content of multicultural life in Singkawang City is in the social studies teaching materials used by teachers in junior high school social studies learning in Singkawang City. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques using interview techniques, observation and document analysis at 5 junior high schools in Singkawang City. The validity of the data used is data triangulation and method triangulation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique uses interactive analysis with three stages of analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing verification conclusions. The research results show that, first, the form of social studies teaching materials used by teachers in learning social studies in class VIII of junior high schools in Singkawang City is printed teaching materials in the form of books, namely social studies textbooks or student books published by the government and worksheet books that refer to the Merdeka Curriculum. Second, in the social studies teaching materials used by teachers in learning social studies in class VIII of junior high schools in Singkawang City, there is no material content about multicultural life in Singkawang City. The material content in the social studies teaching materials used by teachers in junior high school social studies learning in Singkawang City only contains national or general social studies material, so to get around the absence of material content on multicultural life in Singkawang City in junior high school social studies teaching materials, the teacher conveys multicultural life material in Singkawang City is given verbally in a limited manner according to the teacher’s knowledge. Thus, it is necessary to recommend the development of teaching materials based on multicultural life in Singkawang City in junior high school social studies learning in Singkawang City as a means of multicultural education so that students become more acquainted with know and understand the social life and cultural traditions that exist in the environment around which students live with the hope that students can discover, appreciate and apply social values in multicultural life in Singkawang City which are the basis for building students’ social attitudes in order to create a harmonious and tolerant social life in Singkawang City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of research on parental roles, social media use, digital literacy, and moral decadence through a bibliometric approach. Bibliographic data were retrieved from the Google Scholar database using the Publish or Perish application, covering publications published between 2020 and 2025. The dataset was selected by applying predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure the relevance and quality of the bibliographic records. The data were analyzed using VOSviewer through co-occurrence, network, overlay, density, co-authorship, and citation analyses. The results revealed three dominant research clusters: (1) parental roles and digital literacy, (2) media literacy and social media literacy, and (3) the relationship between social media and moral decadence. Overlay visualization indicated a shift in research trends from media literacy toward parental roles and digital literacy as preventive strategies to mitigate the negative impacts of social media. Density visualization identified digital literacy, role, and decline as the most frequently studied keywords. Co-authorship analysis showed that collaboration among researchers remains limited to relatively small research groups, while citation analysis identified the most influential studies as those addressing the impact of digital technology on cognitive development, digital ethics, and character formation. This study contributes to the literature by providing a comprehensive bibliometric mapping of the research landscape, identifying emerging themes, collaboration patterns, and future research directions to strengthen parental involvement and digital literacy in fostering healthy digital behavior and preventing moral decadence in the digital era.
