Human trafficking grows and develops rapidly, with various motives and types of crimes. Various obstacles are faced in handling human trafficking cases, ranging from inadequate legal instruments to weak law enforcement. This study overviewed the international legal instrument on human trafficking cases, following the identification of the recent forms and issues in enquiring how international legal instruments deal with human trafficking. This study used legal research method by referring to international laws as the source of law in compiling this human trafficking research. This study found that various instruments and international cooperation have dealt with human trafficking cases. However, in various related studies, these different legal instruments did not have a clear and binding force when the issue occurs in the domestic state. In addition, human trafficking in various legal instruments also had many types, and all of them are interrelated. This study highlighted and concluded that in making various international legal instruments effective in this case, more intensive international cooperation was needed, both regionally and globally. The emergence of various cases of radicalism in universities is the responsibility of all parties. Various cases that occur in universities show that campuses in Indonesia are very vulnerable to being compiled by radical ideas and terrorism movements, even considered to have no clear curriculum direction in preventing radicalism and terrorism. This study aims to analyze three important things in the issue of radicalism and terrorism in universities, especially at Semarang State University, namely, first how radicalism prevention policies in universities (study at UNNES); second, how to implement policies to prevent radicalism and terrorism at UNNES; and third, how UNNES campus efforts to overcome students or lecturers exposed to radicalism and terrorism. The method used in this study is a mixed method that combines normative juridical research with empirical data in the field. The projected results of this study are in the form of real data regarding the implementation of religious freedom regulations on the UNNES campus. The output of this research is in the form of articles published in accredited national journals.

This paper explores the role of universities in advancing Pancasila as a guiding ideology through community engagement in Kenteng Village. As Indonesia faces challenges in maintaining national identity and unity, the significance of Pancasila— the nation’s foundational philosophical framework—cannot be overstated. The study examines a collaborative program initiated by a local university aimed at fostering ideological understanding and enhancing national awareness among villagers. Through workshops, seminars, and hands-on activities, university students and faculty worked closely with the Kenteng community to facilitate discussions on Pancasila values, encouraging active participation in civic life. The program also aimed to empower villagers by equipping them with skills and knowledge to promote social cohesion and resilience. The findings indicate that the initiative not only deepened the community's appreciation for Pancasila but also strengthened ties between the university and the village. Participants reported increased awareness of national issues and a stronger commitment to local governance and community development. This case study demonstrates that effective community engagement by universities can serve as a model for similar initiatives across Indonesia, reinforcing the importance of Pancasila in contemporary society. Ultimately, the paper advocates for a more structured approach to university-community partnerships, highlighting their potential to cultivate a deeper understanding of national identity and values among future generations.

This paper investigates the role of Pancasila-based legal education through the Street Law model in advocating for social transformation and fostering nationalism among youth in Kenteng Village. As Indonesia strives to strengthen its national identity, particularly among younger generations, integrating Pancasila— the nation’s foundational ideology— into legal education becomes essential. The study outlines a community-driven program that engages university students and local youth in interactive legal workshops, promoting awareness of rights, responsibilities, and civic engagement rooted in Pancasila values. Through participatory methods, the program encourages youth to actively engage in discussions about legal issues and national identity, thereby enhancing their understanding of Indonesian democracy and governance. The findings reveal that this approach not only cultivates a sense of nationalism among participants but also empowers them to become advocates for their communities. Participants reported increased confidence in navigating legal matters and a stronger commitment to civic involvement. This research highlights the importance of advocacy in legal education as a catalyst for social change, demonstrating that the Street Law model can effectively bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application in the community. Ultimately, the paper argues for broader implementation of Pancasila-based legal education programs across Indonesia, suggesting that such initiatives can play a vital role in nurturing a generation of informed and engaged citizens dedicated to the ideals of Pancasila.

Geographical Indication (GI) products hold significant potential for enhancing local economies and global market presence. However, GI products from Temanggung, Indonesia, face unique legal and competitive challenges that hinder their global competitiveness. This paper addresses the urgent need to bolster the international market position of Temanggung’s GI products through effective legal strategies and advocacy. The research is novel in its dual approach of combining legal analysis with strategic advocacy, focusing on a specific regional context that has received limited attention in existing literature. It examines the international and national legal frameworks affecting GI products, identifying gaps and proposing enhancements to strengthen legal protections and align with global standards. Additionally, the paper explores innovative advocacy methods to increase awareness and marketability, including strategic marketing, education, and stakeholder partnerships. The contribution of this research lies in its comprehensive analysis of both legal and advocacy dimensions, providing actionable recommendations for improving the competitiveness of Temanggung’s GI products. By addressing legal vulnerabilities and advocating for effective promotion, the paper offers a roadmap for policymakers, legal professionals, and local producers to enhance the global presence of Temanggung’s GI products. The findings aim to inspire similar strategies for other regions facing comparable challenges, ultimately contributing to the broader discourse on GI protection and market strategies. This research is crucial for addressing immediate challenges and leveraging the full potential of GI products in a competitive global marketplace.

This article study the case of the District Court decision in the city of Kediri number 212/Pid.B/2017/PN Gpr in the same case as decision number 213/Pid.B/2017/PN Gpr, in which in both decisions there are many criminal elements that could be discussed such as complicity, forms of complicity within complicity, failure of assistance, reasons for reduce the sentences, and separation in filing criminal cases. the first decision was about assisting the crime and the second was about participating in the murder. Even though the two case files were split (splitsing), the material or subject matter was the same, predominantly about murder which was caused by rape to the defendant in prior. Both decisions are criminal acts of deelneming (complicity), complicity is a form of crime committed by more than one person who is involved psychologically or physically, so that the criminal responsibility of each person is different. The purpose of writing this article is to analyze a. whether and the criminal categorization of the perpetrator's actions in decision number 212/pid.B/2017/PN Gpr is coherent according to the teachings of criminal law regarding complicity (deelneming) b. whether assistance in the case of PN decision number 212/pid.B/2017/PN Gpr is failed-assistance of committing crime c. whether the court's decision in sentencing already adhere principle of reducing sentence. this research is using the normative-empirical legal research method with the approach of studying the judge's decision in the case of a criminal act that occurred. Abstrak Artikel ini merupakan kajian atas studi kasus putusan Pengadilan Negeri di kota Kediri no. 212/Pid.B/2017/PN Gpr dalam perkara yang sama dengan putusan no. 213/Pid.B/2017/PN Gpr, yang mana dalam kedua putusan tersebut banyak unsur pidana yang dapat dibahas seperti penyertaan, bentuk penyertaan dalam penyertaan, gagalnya penyertaan, alasan peringanan pidana, dan splitsing dalam pemberkasan kasus pidana. putusan pertama adalah tentang pembantuan tindak pidana dan yang kedua adalah tentang ikut serta dalam pembunuhan. Meski kedua berkas perkara dipisahkan (splitsing) tapi materi atau pokok perkaranya sama tentang sebuah tindak pidana pembunuhan yang disebabkan terlebih dahulu oleh pemerkosaan terhadap terdakwa pembantuan. Kedua putusan tersebut merupakan perkara tindak pidana deelneming (penyertaan), dimana tindak pidana dilakukan oleh lebih dari satu orang yang terlibat secara psikis atapun fisik sehingga tanggung jawab pidana masing-masing berbeda. Tujuan ditulisnya artikel ini adalah untuk menganalisis a. apakah pengkategorian pidana terhadap perbuatan pelaku dalam putusan no. 212/pid.B/2017/PN Gpr sudah tepat sesuai dengan ajaran hukum pidana tentang penyertaan (deelneming) b. apakah pembantuan dalam perkara putusan PN no. 212/pid.B/2017/PN Gpr merupakan pembantuan gagal terhadap tindak pidana c. apakah keputusan pengadilan sudah tepat dengan memperhatikan hal yang meringankan pidana. kasus Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif-empiris dengan pendekatan kajian putusan hakim dalam kasus tindak pidana yang terjadi.

Activities to religion are generally carried out by all religious communities in the world without limiting an activity in the process, because it can disrupt the worship process. But in its implementation, especially in Indonesia, the public is less aware of the importance of tolerating religious freedom in order to prevent religious conflicts in the concept of Human Rights. Historically, religious problems are a social problem because they involve the lives of people who cannot be separated from the study of social sciences. Therefore, the religious sciences are essentially parts of Sociology, Psychology and Anthropology. Whereas the issue of religious intolerance in Indonesia is a crucial problem, because these problems can divide the Indonesian people, even though religious problems are a problem that does not need to be exaggerated because in essence every religion teaches good things so that the issue of religious freedom of others is in vain. So from that a country needs to have a law to regulate the existing government system, one of which is to regulate religion in Indonesia. Religion in Indonesia itself has been regulated in chapter XI of Religion in Article 29 paragraph (2) where the State guarantees the independence of each resident to embrace their respective religion and to worship according to that belief. Not only about religious freedom, the context of violations concerning religion in Indonesia has also been regulated in law, but the public still underestimates the law because they themselves are also taboo on the laws that apply in Indonesia. Problems concerning religious intolerance can be prevented through counseling on vulnerable areas that will cause religious commotion, so that the pillars of nationality contained in the Pancasila can still survive and run as they should. This study analyzes the Protection of Religious Freedom in Indonesia in the perspective of Human Rights in Indonesia. Keywords : Agama, intoleransi, konflik, kebebasan, perlindungan hukum.

Cases of theft leading to altercations pose significant legal and social challenges that require effective resolution strategies. In Kenteng Village, such incidents frequently escalate into prolonged conflicts between perpetrators and victims. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of legal assistance in theft cases through penal mediation, with a focus on reinforcing Pancasila values at the village level. A qualitative approach with an in-depth case study methodology was employed. Data were collected through interviews with perpetrators, victims, authorities, and mediators, as well as document analysis. The study investigates how legal assistance and penal mediation can facilitate conflict resolution while supporting the application of Pancasila values in the case resolution process. The findings reveal that integrated legal assistance and penal mediation can reduce tensions between disputing parties and increase the likelihood of peaceful resolution. Penal mediation, involving a third-party mediator, enables constructive dialogue and fair settlements, considering the interests of both parties. The reinforcement of Pancasila values, such as social justice, humanity, and unity, proves effective in fostering mutual respect and tolerance within the village community. In conclusion, legal assistance and penal mediation not only address legal disputes but also strengthen Pancasila values within the community. Recommendations for future research include the development of mediation and legal assistance training programs based on Pancasila values to extend their application to other regions.

Social transformation focusing on youth through Pancasila-based legal education has been implemented in Desa Kenteng using the Street Law model. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of this model in strengthening nationalism and national awareness among village youth. The Street Law method, which integrates Pancasila principles with legal theory and practice, is designed to enhance legal understanding while instilling national values in a local context. The results of the program indicate a significant increase in legal knowledge, with basic legal understanding rising from 30% to 75% after six months. Additionally, there was a substantial increase in nationalism and awareness of Pancasila values, from 40% to 85%, and a rise in social participation from 20% to 60% among village youth. Despite these positive outcomes, challenges such as uncertainty in practical legal application and the need for ongoing support from government and local legal institutions remain. This study recommends integrating national values into legal education policies and adapting program models to local contexts to ensure broader and sustainable impact in other regions.

Shipwreck cargo or Benda Muatan Kapal Tenggelam (BMKT) in Indonesia, often referred to as underwater cultural heritage (UCH), holds significant economic potential for Indonesia, a nation prosperous in UCH sites. However, the preservation and management of these assets frequently encounter legal challenges at both national and international levels. This study examined the complex legal landscape surrounding shipwreck cargo in Indonesia, highlighting the divergent perspectives of national legislation and international norms. Indonesia's domestic laws allow for the auctioning of shipwreck cargo, which presents an opportunity for economic advancement. However, this approach clashes with the principles outlined in the Convention on Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage 2001, which underscore the collective heritage value of UCH objects and discourages their commercialization. This legal divergence underscores the need for Indonesia to balance its national interests with its international commitments in managing shipwreck cargo. By examining these legal intricacies, this study reveals the challenges of the coexistence of conflicting legal frameworks. It provides insights into potential strategies for harmonizing preservation efforts with commercial interests, thereby facilitating a balanced approach to the management of shipwreck cargo. By navigating these complexities, Indonesia can effectively leverage its underwater cultural heritage while fulfilling its obligations as a member of the international community.
