Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out about the accuracy of news "Press the Rate of Covid 19, Rohidin Encourages the Regions to Perform a Bulk SWAB Test", on 4 September  2020 at Viralpublik.com Bengkulu Online Media in operationalizing the four structural dimensions of news as a framing device: syntax, script, thematic and rhetorical on Covid 19 news. This research method is based on the postpositivism or interpretive philosophy that is used to examine the conditions of natural objects, where the researcher is the key instrument, and the results of qualitative research are to understand meaning, understand uniqueness, construct phenomena, and find hypotheses. In this method of analysis, the Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosick Model approach uses psychological and sociological conceptions on Covid 19 news. The results showed that the Covid 19 news about "Pressing the Rate of Covid, Rohidin Encourages the Regions to Perform a Mass SWAB Test, 4 September 2020", psychologically the conceptions have changed humans in communicating and interacting with others, because the framing concept used has described the selection process highlighting certain aspects of media reality in placing information in the context of news accuracy, so that certain news content gets a greater allocation than other news issues, whereas in a sociological concept, it can be understood as the process of how a person classifies, organizes, and interprets his social experience to understand himself and the reality outside himself, because a pandemic can cause changes in behavior that have an impact on social upheaval in society

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between narcissistic behavior on the Tiktok application and the personality of teenagers in high school students (SMA) Negeri 2 Central Bengkulu. This shows that there is a strong and positive correlation between narcissistic behavior on the Tiktok application and the personality of adolescents at SMA Negeri 2 Bengkulu Tengah. This means that the higher the Narcissism Behavior on the Tiktok Application, the more it will reflect the personality of teenagers at the State 2 Central Bengkulu High School (SMA). From the results of hypothesis testing, the tcount value is 9.21 and then compared with the ttable value with the level of significance set at 95% with a one-way calculation and dk = n-2 = 40-2 = 38, it is known that the ttable value is 1.686. This explains that there is a close relationship between narcissistic behavior in the Tiktok application and adolescent personality in high school students (SMA) Negeri 2 Central Bengkulu.

Abstract

Water is a basic need for all living organisms. Water quality implies living quality. Several parameters influencing water quality include minerals, dissolved organic substances, and turbidity. The water consumed must meet proven water quality standards. However, water quality still needs to be improved in several areas before consumption. The well water in residential areas placed on rice fields generally needs to meet the requirements for consumption. Many Taman Gading housing complex residents, especially in RW 036 RT 006, still use the well water to meet their daily needs. The well water quality in this area tends to be smelly and somewhat misty. Proper treatment is needed to improve the quality of well water in this area to reduce the negative impact on the population's health in the long term. This training focused on well water purification and filtration using slow sand filtration technology (SPL) to improve water quality. This method uses activated charcoal, sand, gauze, and pumice as filter media in specific proportions. The use of this method is effective and efficient in reducing the turbidity level of the sample water to the threshold for drinking water (<500 ppm), with a neutral pH (close to 7.00). This technology is effortless for residents to use and apply independently at a relatively low cost.

Abstract

One of the factors that determine the formation of the membrane is the solution in the coagulation bath (non-solvent). In this study, the effect of pH treatment on the coagulation bath solution on membrane formation and its effect on membrane performance will be studied. The pH of the coagulation bath used was pH 1, 6.8 and 12. As the results, physically the three pH treatments produced the same white (opaque) membrane. Through morphological analysis, it appears that the three pH treatments produced an asymmetric membrane consisting of a top layer and a sublayer. The surface of the membrane with pH 1 treatment showed a denser surface than the pH 6.8 and pH 12 treatments. The results of the membrane performance characterization showed that the membrane permeability coefficient of the membrane with pH treatment was in the following order pH 1 < pH 12 < pH 6.8. While the value of the rejection coefficient showed that the membrane treated at pH 1 did not detect rejection because there was no permeate coming out, while at the treatment at pH 6.8 and 12, the rejection coefficient values were 74% and 76%, respectively.

Abstract

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is a toxic, corrosive, and flammable gas. The presence of H2S gas can be reduced by a permeation method using PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) membranes and PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) membranes. This H2S gas passed through the membrane and was then captured by the SAOB (Sulfide Anhydride Oxidant Buffer) in S2- species form. A visible spectrophotometer was applied for the analysis of passed H2S gas. Using a PTFE membrane, the optimum flow rate was obtained at 14.71 mL/min, with a mass flux of 0.825 kg/m2.hour, permeability coefficient of 0.696 kg/m2.hour.bar, and percent removal of H2S gas was 88.14%. The optimum flow rate for the SAOB was obtained at a rate of 0.30 mL/min with a mass flux of 0.843 kg/m2.hour and a percent removal of H2S gas of 89.98%. Based on the results obtained on the PVDF membrane, the mass flux produced in the optimization of H2S gas is 0.742 kg/cm2.hour, and the optimization of the SAOB solution is 0.754 kg/cm2.hour. The resulting permeability coefficient value is 0.741 kg/cm2.hour. The results indicate that this study can remove H2S gas at the optimum H2S gas flow rate of 4.76 mL/minute of 94.89% and the optimum SAOB flow rate of 0.3 mL/minute of 95.66%
