Abstract

Weather prediction is crucial in various domains, such as agriculture, transportation, and disaster management. This research investigates the Stacked Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) for weather prediction using the Denpasar Weather Data spanning 20 years from January 1, 1990, to January 7, 2020. The dataset contains hourly weather data, including temperature, pressure, humidity, and wind speed. Our Stacked LSTM model consists of multiple LSTM layers that capture temporal dependencies and patterns in the data. Evaluating the model's performance using metrics such as Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), and R-squared (R2), we obtain an average RMSE of 0.03471, an average MAE of 0.02718, an average MAPE of 0.05572, and an average R2 of 0.87087. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of the Stacked LSTM model in accurately predicting weather conditions. The findings have practical implications for weather forecasting applications and suggest avenues for future research, such as exploring different deep learning architectures and incorporating additional features to improve weather prediction accuracy further.

Abstract

The role of social institutions in communication skills training at the Rehabilitation Social Institution for Women with Social Disabilities in Indralaya, Ogan Ilir Regency, uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive level of explanation. The results showed that the role of social institutions in communication skills training at the Indralaya Women's Rehabilitation Social Institution, Ogan Ilir Regency, had been implemented quite well, but there were still some obstacles that occurred in the field. Obstacles to the Social Rehabilitation of Women with Disability Social Institutions are delays in disbursement of funds for the first quarter, thus hampering all activities from training costs, meals to studying. The Indralaya Women's Rehabilitation Social Institution for Social Rehabilitation really must be monitored by the coaches. Based on the dimensions of clarity of purpose, there are still problems. One of the obstacles is the lack of availability of facilities and infrastructure in dormitories and study rooms at the Indralaya Women's Rehabilitation Social Center. The lack of adequate facilities in the communication skills training class has forced the orphanage coach to deal with it by using equipment and classes in rotation.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe Arabic language is famous for its common vocabulary. Derivation is one of the ways of forming Arabic vocabulary. It is still among the ancient Arab linguists or speakers arguing about its classification and what the origin of the derivation, whether it is the source or the verb. This research aims to find out the reality of the derivation in the field of Arabic philology, whether its concept, classification, and the ionization of the origin and branch of it is in the derivation itself. From the end of the method, this research is a qualitative research of the type of desk study, because the data in it is qualitative in the form of texts or letters that are collected through reading and reviewing books, literature, or the results of scientific research in refereed scientific journals or research from national or international conferences or related to it. The collected data is then analyzed and analyzed interactively so that the results can then be deduced based on the problems investigated. The results of this research are that derivation is one of the ways of forming and developing Arabic vocabulary, which is divided into four types, namely: 1) small, smaller, or morphological derivation, 2) major derivation, 3) greater derivation (al-taqlab or al-qalb), 4) adult derivation (sculpture). There are two main schools in defining what is the origin and the branch for it in derivation, and they are the school of Basra and the school of Kufa, they differ in their opinion in determining which is the main (origin) and the branch (franchise) in derivation. Basra scholars believe that the infinitive (noun) is the origin and the verb is a branch of it, while Kufa scholars believe that the verb is the origin and the infinitive is a branch of it.

Abstract

This research aimed to employ Van Dijk's Ideological Square to examine gender inequality in infidelity news comments on YouTube. The study used a qualitative research technique. According to the results, the most popular netizen comments concerned for Virgound and Syahnaz were "bad personality," with 53 (23%) and 59 (26%), respectively. This category shows that both commonly used unfavorable personal qualities as the major basis for their discourse topics. The researcher discussed several concerns online users raised regarding Virgoun and Syahnaz. There was a noticeable gender inequality in the YouTube comments on the Virgoun and Syahnaz episode. Despite these parallels, men and women were viewed differently by society, with men generally being viewed as justified and women as being held to higher moral standards. The researchers recommend that future studies employ more equal reporting practices for adultery and discriminate based on the gender of commentators.

Abstract

Critical Discourse Analysis studies of communication in political contexts have scrutinized the use of language by politicians striving to win public opinion related to some topic or conflict. utilizing Teun A. van Dijk's framework for political discourse analysis, this thesis examines discursive devices and ideological squares in four speeches related to the Russia Ukraine conflict in 2022 from president Joe Biden and president Vladimir Putin. The study described in this thesis combines micro-level text analysis focusing on discursive devices and macro-level analysis focusing on the ideology formed by the ideological square that represents "us" and "them within it. the data analysis explains the discursive devices that only the president uses Biden namely "disclaimer" "euphemism" "national self-glorification" "number game" and "polarization", on the other hand discursive devices that are only found in president Putin namely "authority" and "comparison". in using ideological square president Biden uses " de-emphasizing negative "us" more than president Putin and on the other hand president Putin uses "emphasizing negative "them" and "de-emphasizing positive "them" more. The results of the study also show that the two presidents conveyed different ideological perspectives and attitudes on the 2022 Ukraine and Russia conflict based on the four speeches analysed.

Abstract

This research examines the legal responsibility of banks as commercial service providers, which is primarily based on contractual obligations with consumers. While the foundation for customer claims against banks typically arises from breaches of these agreements, the Consumer Protection Law does not explicitly outline various forms of responsibility, resulting in numerous decisions by the Consumer Dispute Settlement Body being overturned by the Supreme Court. One significant issue is the law’s lack of provision for legal claims beyond tort. Using a normative methodology based on Law Number 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection, this study underscores the need for a legal framework that emphasizes risk-based bank responsibility for losses stemming from standard agreements in opening bank accounts. This development is essential for strengthening consumer protection and achieving a balance between consumer interests and the rights of business actors, thereby promoting a healthier economic environment.
