Abstract

The rapid transition to online learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic presented challenges in ensuring effective student engagement and comprehension, particularly in subjects like Practical Work and Entrepreneurship. The problem identified is the lack of suitable digital tools to support interactive learning in these subjects, which often rely on hands-on experience and active participation. To solve this problem, this study developed and implemented Moodle-based e-learning media to enhance student understanding and engagement in Practical Work and Entrepreneurship education. The research objective was to assess the effectiveness of this e-learning media in improving students' learning outcomes compared to traditional learning methods. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method, involving two groups of students: an experimental group that used Moodle-based e-learning media and a control group that did not receive any additional digital learning support. Data were collected over a period of six months, using pretests and posttests, with statistical analysis conducted via Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests. The results of the study showed significant improvements in the experimental group, with both statistical tests yielding significance values (sig) less than 0.05. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of career guidance, industrial work experience (internship), and emotional intelligence to the work readiness of students at SMK N 1 Sutera. The background of this research is the high unemployment rate among vocational school graduates and the gap between their competencies and the needs of the industrial sector.Using a quantitative approach and survey method, the study involved 68 students who had participated in the internship program. Data were collected through questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that career guidance significantly contributed to students’ work readiness with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.535 (R² = 28.6%, p = 0.000). This indicates that better career guidance helps improve students’ preparedness for the workforce. Internship experience also had a positive impact, with r = 0.351 (R² = 12.3%, p = 0.015), suggesting that hands-on industry experience increases students' readiness for real work environments. Emotional intelligence had the most dominant influence with r = 0.606 (R² = 36.8%, p = 0.000), showing that the ability to manage emotions and adapt socially plays a key role in preparing students for the workplace.Simultaneously, these three variables contributed 57.8% to students’ work readiness (R² = 0.578, F = 29.193, p = 0.000), meaning the research model is statistically significant. Therefore, schools and industries should enhance career guidance quality, improve the relevance of internship programs, and offer training to strengthen students' emotional intelligence, to better prepare them for the labor market and increase their competitiveness

Abstract

This study investigates the mechanical performance of coconut coir fiber-reinforced composites with volume fractions of 30% and 40%, fabricated using the Manual Hand Lay-Up method. Specimens were tested under three-point bending following ASTM D790-03 to evaluate flexural strength. Results show that composites with a 30% fiber volume exhibit superior bending strength and stiffness compared to those with 40%, indicating a more optimal fiber–matrix ratio. The reduction in performance at higher fiber content is attributed to uneven resin distribution and inadequate fiber impregnation. These findings highlight the potential of coconut coir as a sustainable reinforcement material and emphasize the importance of optimizing fiber volume and manufacturing methods. The study recommends the use of alternative fabrication techniques, such as vacuum infusion, to improve resin homogeneity and mechanical reliability, particularly for structural and lightweight composite applications.
