Abstract

Many accidents in oil palm plantations are caused by risks such as harvesting activities. Even though the K3 system has been implemented, accidents still occur because there is a high potential risk of work accidents, so companies need to manage them so that the level of work accidents can be reduced. Research objectives: identify potential dangers and risks of work accidents for harvest employees, carry out an assessment and analysis of the level of value of the risk of harvesting work activities using the HIRARC method and recommend ways to control the potential risk of work accidents during harvesting based on the K3 risk management hierarchy, namely substitution, elimination, PPE and administration. Activities identified as having potential dangers and risks are sharpening tools, cutting fruit, cutting midribs, transporting fruit to TPH, and arranging fruit in TPH. There are 2 levels of risk assessment, namely low risk low risk (sharpening tools, cutting fruit at risk of being injured by thorns and the risk of material waste being exposed to sore eyes, arranging fruit in TPH), medium risk, medium risk (cutting the fronds at risk of falling fronds, swelling from wasp stings and fever, transporting fruit to TPH), and controlling risks such as substitution, elimination, using PPE, administration and being careful when working and paying attention to land conditions.

Abstract

This study compares two image feature extraction algorithms: Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) and a combination of Local Binary Pattern with GLCM (LBP GLCM), for rice image classification. The objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of both methods in generating features such as ASM, contrast, correlation, entropy, and energy, as well as to measure the computational time. The results show that the LBP GLCM algorithm significantly improves classification accuracy compared to pure GLCM, but requires 13-17 times longer computational time. While GLCM is more efficient in terms of time, its classification accuracy is relatively lower. These findings align with previous studies indicating that adding LBP to GLCM enhances classification performance. In conclusion, LBP GLCM is superior in accuracy, making it a better choice for applications that prioritize precise classification results. However, the trade-off in computational time should be considered, especially for applications requiring fast processing. These findings are relevant for further development in agriculture and image processing.

Abstract

The persistence of pesticide residues such as cypermethrin in water bodies has raised environmental concerns, necessitating the development of effective photocatalytic materials for their degradation. This study examines the influence of solvent-assisted magnetite synthesis on the structural, magnetic, and photocatalytic properties of Fe₃O₄/TiO₂ composites for cypermethrin degradation under UV light with a focus on a comparative approach between alkaline and acidic synthesis routes, which has not been extensively reported. Fe₃O₄ was synthesized via co-precipitation using NaOH and HCl to assess the impact of solvent conditions. Xray diffraction confirmed the spinel-phase structure in both samples, while SEM showed finer and more uniform particles in the NaOH-derived sample. VSM analysis revealed that Fe₃O₄–HCl exhibited higher saturation magnetization (Ms = 57.98 emu/g) but lower coercivity (Hc = 0.0206 T) than Fe₃O₄–NaOH (Ms = 41.26 emu/g; Hc = 0.0241 T), indicating synthesis-dependent magnetic properties. UV–Vis analysis identified a cypermethrin absorption peak at 220 nm, which was used to monitor degradation. The Fe₃O₄–NaOH:TiO₂ composite showed superior photocatalytic activity (31.98% degradation in 90 minutes) compared to Fe₃O₄– HCl:TiO₂ (22.86%). Kinetic modeling using the pseudo first-order equation yielded a higher rate constant for Fe₃O₄-NaOH:TiO₂ (k = 0.00172 min⁻¹; R² = 0.769), while Fe₃O₄–HCl:TiO₂ showed slower kinetics but better linearity (k = 0.00030 min⁻¹; R² = 0.9999). These results suggest that alkaline synthesis enhances particle morphology and charge transfer efficiency, improving photocatalytic performance. Therefore, Fe₃O₄–NaOH:TiO₂ represents a promising candidate for cypermethrin remediation in wastewater treatment.

Abstract

Misuse of Narcotics and illegal drugs (narkoba) is a phenomenon that has long been experienced by the countries all over the world, including Indonesia. This is basically a transnational crime, considering the chain link of the drug misuse includes production and trade activities to the countryside. Considering that this crime is an expanding chain, it is necessary to have legal counseling about the dangers and prevention of narcotics and legal aid for all regions in Indonesia, including the Kuningan Regency. Provision of legal aid is one way to realize access to law and justice for the poor which is provided by the state on the mandate of the constitution. Several regulations regarding legal aid have been issued by the state through laws and implementing regulations as well as from the Supreme Court or the Constitutional Court through Supreme Court Regulations and Constitutional Court decisions. This article will describe systematically and scientifically which takes place in Kuningan Regency, Sindangsari Village of Sindangagung District. Based on the results of counseling there are some problems in preventing narcotics crime and implementing the provision of legal aid in the community which make the provision of legal aid to rural communities less effective, therefore, it is necessary to optimize the provision of legal aid to rural communities which is an idea to response this problem to realize the access to law and justice for rural communities, especially the poor.

Abstract

Weeds frequently present challenges in agricultural settings, leading to crop damage and diminished yields.  The size of the current weed population is often closely linked to these issues.  The primary factor at play is the competition between crops and weeds for space, nutrients, and light essential for growth.  Given that weeds are considered undesirable, their control represents a significant area of focus.  A method to assess effective weed control strategies involves vegetation analysis, offering insights into weed distribution and density.  The data aids in formulating an effective control strategy to reduce the adverse effects of weeds on oil palm yield. This investigation seeks to analyze the composition and structure of weeds, as well as evaluate the efficacy of weed control measures on ex-burned land.  This study employs field surveys to catalog the types and quantities of individual weeds, alongside vegetation analysis to assess weed structure through relative density, frequency, and dominance metrics. The findings revealed a total of 275 distinct weed compositions, encompassing 15 species across 10 families.  The prevalent weed species identified included Eleocharis dulcis, Paspalum conjugatum, and Fimbristylis miliacea.  The density, frequency, and dominance values of these three weeds were notably high.  The weed diversity index in the peatland was measured at 2.13, indicating a high classification.  The approach to weed management involves an integration of both physical and chemical techniques.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of prestige, artificial intelligence, and future demands on academic dishonesty among university students. This research adopts a qualitative approach using phenomenological analysis. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using the fraud triangle theory. Prestige drives students to maintain their academic image through unethical means. Artificial intelligence creates hidden and harder-to-detect opportunities for cheating. Future demands generate psychological pressure that leads students to commit academic dishonesty in order to secure their career prospects. findings encourage higher education institutions to design fraud prevention policies that are adaptive to technological advancements and social pressures. A humanistic approach is also needed to support students in facing future challenges. This study is the first to integrate artificial intelligence, prestige, and future demands as key variables within the fraud triangle framework to examine academic dishonesty in Islamic private universities.
