Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of differentiated learning on student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education in grade VII at SMP Negeri 26 Medan. This study was conducted based on the low learning outcomes of students, as indicated by the large number of students who did not meet the minimum passing grade (KKM), as well as the learning process that was still dominated by conventional methods without considering differences in learning styles, interests, and readiness of students. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a Pre-test-Post-test Control Group Design, involving 64 students consisting of class VII-E as the experimental class and class VII-H as the control class. The experimental class was given treatment in the form of differentiated learning that accommodated the readiness, interests, and learning profiles of students, while the control class was taught using conventional learning. The research instrument was a learning outcome test administered before and after the treatment. The data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, Paired Sample T-Test, and Independent Sample T-Test tests with the help of the SPSS 25 program. The results showed a significant increase in the learning outcomes of the experimental class, with the average score increasing from 70.72 to 84.91 after the implementation of differentiated learning. Meanwhile, the control class only experienced a small increase from 69.38 to 70.03, or 0.65 points. The Paired Sample T-Test results showed Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores in the experimental class. The Independent Sample T-Test also produced a Sig. value of 0.000 < 0.05, with a posttest average difference of 14.88 points between the two classes, proving that differentiated learning has a significant effect on student learning outcomes. It can be concluded that the application of differentiated learning is ffective in improving Pancasila Education learning outcomes while creating an adaptive and student-centered learning process.

Abstract

. Pancasila education plays a very important role in efforts to achieve the national mission to shape the nation's personality amid the challenges of the current globalization era. The value of character towards Pancasila Education is increasingly fading, especially among the younger generation such as students and college students. The purpose of this study is to provide a clear picture in building the character of special students in the current era of globalization. The research method used is a literature study method sourced from journals, the next method is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation. The results of this study indicate that Pancasila education has an important role in building and developing the character of students so that later it will produce a young generation that is noble and critical. The impact of the phenomenon of globalization can actually cause the decline of the nation's identity, so it is increasingly important to include Pancasila education in the curriculum. This research contributes to raising awareness of the importance of Pancasila education as a means to strengthen and maintain national identity in the face of increasing globalization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi Program Sabtu Kreatif di SMA Negeri 1 Gebang Kabupaten Langkat. Deskripsi tersebut terkait dengan Program Sabtu Kreatif serta faktor pendukung maupun penghambat dalam mengimplementasikan Program tersebut dalam upaya pengembangan profil kretif siswa. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ditentukan berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling dengan cara melakukan pertimbangan tertentu yaitu dengan memilih informan yang benar- benar mengetahui informasi yang ingin peneliti gali sehingga akan memudahkan peneliti dalam menggali permasalahan yang sedang diteliti. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu kepala sekolah, guru PPKn, dan siswa, dengan objek penelitian meliputi Program Sabtu Kreatif di SMA Negeri 1 Gebang Kabupaten Langkat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Implementasi sabtu kreatif di SMA Negeri 1 Gebang Kabupaten Langkat sudah mampu mengembangkan profil kreatif pelajar pancasila dalam dimensi kreativitas. Profil kreatif pelajar pancasila siswa SMA Negeri 1 Gebang telah berkembang. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dari peningkatan kreativitas siswa dalam memberikan beragam penampilan. Selain itu siswa juga mampu untuk mengikuti perlombaan-perlombaan kreatif yang diadakan di luar sekolah. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kreativitas siswa juga meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa.

Abstract

This paper examines the civic identity of the Dayak people in the West Kalimantan border region within the context of ethnic transnationalism, emphasizing the role of custom and cross-border mobility. Recognizing that Dayak communities have historically lived beyond the boundaries of modern states, the study conceptualizes citizenship as a lived social experience that does not always align with nation-state logic. Using ethnographic methods, the research explores how Dayak people interpret citizenship through everyday practices, kinship relations, and cross-border interactions. The findings show that citizenship is understood situationally and pragmatically, particularly in relation to administrative needs and access to state services, while ethnic and customary identities remain the primary basis of social loyalty. Custom functions as a value framework regulating community membership, social relations, and attachment to ancestral lands across borders. Continuous mobility sustains a transnational social space where borders are negotiated administrative structures rather than rigid social boundaries. The study highlights the layered and dynamic nature of border citizenship and contributes to scholarship on indigenous transnationalism.

Abstract

This literature review explores the relationship between professional ethics and exemplary behavior from the perspective of Pancasila values, which are relevant in addressing the complexities of modern professionalism. Various moral issues, such as abuse of authority, weak integrity, and the crisis of exemplary behavior, demand a stronger ethical foundation rooted in the nation's noble values. This study uses a conceptual approach based on literature with a critical analysis of the literature on professional ethics, Pancasila values, and the practice of exemplary behavior from figures. The novelty of this article lies in the integration of professional ethics with Pancasila, which is not only positioned as a normative guideline, but also synthesized into a conceptual model of Pancasila-based professional ethics that emphasizes the integration of moral values, social responsibility, and exemplary behavior from figures. The main synthesis of the study confirms that the revitalization of Pancasila values ​​strengthens the moral foundation of the profession while offering a practical ethical framework that is contextual, adaptive, and relevant to global challenges. The practical implications of this study are the importance of implementing Pancasila-based professional ethics in professional education, character development of the younger generation, and the development of ethical leadership capable of building a society with integrity, justice, and civility.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi guru dalam mengimplementasikan Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) pada proses pembelajaran di SMA Swasta PAB 5 Klumpang. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan guru, kepala sekolah, dan siswa sebagai informan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah berupaya mengintegrasikan aspek teknologi, pedagogi, dan konten secara seimbang dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Strategi yang digunakan mencakup integrasi teknologi dan pedagogi melalui penggunaan media digital interaktif, integrasi teknologi dan konten dengan memanfaatkan sumber belajar daring, serta integrasi pedagogi dan konten melalui penerapan metode Project-Based Learning (PjBL) dan Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Implementasi TPACK memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan keterlibatan dan motivasi belajar siswa, serta membantu guru menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual dan menarik. Namun, penelitian juga menemukan beberapa kendala, antara lain keterbatasan sarana teknologi, perbedaan kemampuan guru dalam penguasaan teknologi, dan keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa strategi guru berbasis TPACK berkontribusi penting terhadap pengembangan kualitas pembelajaran di era digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan instrumen tes pilihan ganda berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila untuk siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 4 Medan. Penelitian menggunakan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) yang dibatasi hingga tahap Develop melalui validasi ahli dan uji coba terbatas. Hasil validasi menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan sangat tinggi, dengan skor rata-rata 93% dari dosen ahli dan 100% dari guru mata pelajaran. Uji validitas empiris menunjukkan seluruh 20 butir soal valid (r hitung 0,372–0,682 > r tabel 0,361) dengan reliabilitas tinggi (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0,829). Distribusi tingkat kesukaran terdiri atas 13 soal sedang, 3 mudah, dan 4 sukar, serta daya beda berkategori cukup hingga baik. Hasil ini membuktikan instrumen layak, reliabel, dan efektif digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi sesuai tuntutan Kurikulum Merdeka

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang civic engagement mahasiswa sebagai implementasi Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi dalam upaya mengatasi masalah pendidikan dan mendukung SDGs-4 melalui Gerakan Sumut Mengajar (GSM) di pedesaan Sumatera Utara. GSM berdampak dalam membentuk enam komponen keterlibatan warga: 1) kesadaran diri, 2) pemahaman komunitas dan keberagaman budaya, 3) pengetahuan sipil, 4) keterampilan sipil, 5) nilai demokratis, dan 6) partisipasi dalam aksi publik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan responden melibatkan pengurus, mahasiswa relawan, dan masyarakat penerima dampak dari GSM di desa. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi, display, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penguatan civic engagement berlangsung sistematis melalui seleksi, rekrutmen, pembekalan, dan pengabdian 14 hari yang menanamkan nilai kerelawanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan kesadaran ketimpangan pendidikan, kemampuan memahami keberagaman budaya, penguatan pengetahuan kontekstual, pengembangan keterampilan komunikasi dan kolaborasi, internalisasi nilai demokratis, serta partisipasi berkelanjutan dalam kerelawanan yang dibuktikan dengan triagulasi dari pengurus. Masyarakat penerima dampak juga merasakan peningkatan motivasi belajar anak dan kesadaran pentingnya pendidikan. Meskipun terdapat tantangan yang dihadapi selama pengabdian di desa, tantangan mampu diatasi sehingga menjadi ruang pembelajaran yang membentuk ketangguhan, fleksibilitas, dan komitmen mahasiswa sebagai warga negara aktif dan bertanggung jawab dalam berkontribusi menyelesaikan permasalahan sosial masyarakat.

Abstract

Civic education serves as a key instrument for citizenship formation, although its orientation varies across national contexts. This study comparatively analyses civic education in Malaysia and Indonesia by examining how historical experience, national identity, and socio-cultural contexts shape curriculum orientation and civic values. Using a qualitative literature-based approach, the study analyses academic articles, policy documents, curriculum guidelines, and historical sources from both countries. The findings reveal distinct developmental trajectories. In Malaysia, civic education evolved from Pendidikan Sivik to Pendidikan Sivik dan Kewarganegaraan, emphasising patriotism, ethnic harmony, and social cohesion in response to multicultural pluralism. In contrast, civic education in Indonesia is anchored in Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan, with Pancasila functioning as the ideological foundation for national identity, democratic values, and citizenship responsibilities. Overall, the study demonstrates that while both countries employ civic education for nation-building, differences in historical experience and ideological orientation lead to divergent curricular emphases and civic outcomes.

Abstract

Strengthening sub-district government capacity after the emergence of the regional autonomy policy in Reform era of Indonesia is really mandated to incorporating a human rights-based approach to development (HRBA). As a conceptual framework, HRBA seeks to address the root of the problem and touch the interests of the most vulnerable groups from human rights violations due to isolated development of border areas and marginalization of human rights protection. HRBA has become an important and interesting issue in the formulation of sustainable development that are able to empower and even improve the welfare of society. This article examines the government's capacity of the Besitang sub-District in planning and driving action HRBA into development practices in their regions. The article resulted from qualitative descriptive research. Data were collected by using focused group discussions, field studies, and literature review, then analysed through an interactive analysis. Finally, this article concludes that improving the performance of apparatus and good mechanisms for institutional assistance at the village level, including community leaders and disadvantages of community participation, is a significant effort to accelerate the realization of HRBA in Besitang sub-District.
