Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers’ strategies in implementing deep learning approaches in mathematics learning at the elementary school level. Deep learning emphasizes conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and meaningful student engagement, which contrasts with traditional memorization-oriented learning. This research explores how teachers design learning experiences, select instructional methods, utilize media, and facilitate classroom interactions to build deeper mathematical comprehension. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation in an elementary school classroom. The results show that teachers implement several strategies such as contextual problem-based learning, the use of manipulatives, structured inquiry, reflective questioning, and collaborative discussions. These strategies encourage students to connect concepts, explore ideas actively, and construct meaning from learning experiences. The study concludes that implementing deep learning strategies supports students in developing stronger conceptual understanding and more independent thinking in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Teacher well-being is a crucial determinant of educational quality, yet many educators particularly those working abroad. They face challenges that compromise their physical and psychological health. This community engagement program (PKM) conducted by Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) at Sekolah Indonesia Makkah (SIM), Saudi Arabia, aimed to enhance teacher wellness through integrated fitness and counselling training. Using a hybrid model that combined online lectures and offline practice, 23 teachers participated in structured physical exercise sessions, health education, and guidance and counselling workshops. Baseline assessments indicated that 78% of participants rarely engaged in exercise and 65% were dissatisfied with their physical condition. Post-intervention data revealed substantial improvements: 87% of teachers began exercising weekly, reported higher energy and motivation levels, and demonstrated greater awareness of wellness in teaching. Counselling competence also improved markedly, with 90% of participants able to apply preventive and developmental guidance strategies in classrooms. Qualitative feedback emphasized increased collegiality, emotional resilience, and a stronger sense of community, culminating in the establishment of a Teacher Fitness Club as a sustainable outcome. The study concludes that integrating physical and psychological well-being training strengthens teachers’ professional capacity, fosters holistic education, and exemplifies the transformative role of universities in global community partnership.

Abstract

Almost every strategic location today has a store that sells  daily necessities. These stores compete with each other by offering prices and services that they hope will satisfy their customers. This competition must be anticipated in the management of minimarkets run by cooperatives. Minimarkets run by cooperatives need to maintain the loyalty of their members and general customers by improving service quality. Customer reviews or suggestions and criticism from members or customers are valuable sources of data for evaluating service performance. These customer reviews are unstructured data that are difficult to process manually. This study aims to classify customer opinions on the service quality of cooperative minimarkets into positive, negative, and neutral sentiments using a Lexicon-Based approach. The research methods used are text data preprocessing, sentiment weighting using a lexicon dictionary, classification into positive, negative, or neutral classes, and system performance testing using a confusion matrix. The data labeling stage is carried out automatically using the Lexicon InSet dictionary to determine the sentiment class (positive or negative). The labeled data was then processed using TF-IDF feature extraction and used to train the logistic regression model. Model performance evaluation was carried out using a Confusion Matrix with a training data and test data ratio of 80:20. The results of this study show that the logistic regression algorithm is capable of classifying cooperative service sentiment with an accuracy rate of 81%, precision of 83%, recall of 81%, and an F1 score of 79%. These results indicate that the method used is quite effective in identifying customer opinions and can be used as a decision support system for cooperative managers in continuously improving service quality based on customer sentiment data analysis.

Abstract

The study involved X grade students from SMK Nasyrul Ulum Gegesik during the 2022/2023 academic year. The experimental class had 30 students from X TBSM 4, while the control class had 29 students from X TBSM 3. The study aimed to improve students' poetry writing skills in class X at SMK Nasyrul Ulum Gegesik during the 2022/2023 academic year. The research questions focused on the effectiveness of the jigsaw model for teaching poetry writing to X TBSM students and the differences in learning activities using the jigsaw model. The study used a quantitative quasi-experimental design, with data collected through observations and pretest/posttest assessments. The statistical analysis showed that the jigsaw method was effective for teaching poetry writing to X grade students at SMK Nasyrul Ulum Gegesik during the 2022/2023 academic year. The observations also indicated increased student engagement in learning to write poetry texts using the jigsaw method.

Abstract

The Experiential Learning method is one method learning that can be done make the learning process effective teaching on the material write text poetry. Based on results observation, can concluded that learning write text poetry Still experience a number of constraints, ie student not enough enthusiastic in follow learning, even deep _ learning write poetry. Student not enough creative for find ideas within write poetry and the methods used in learning Still use method conventional, so student fast feel saturation is what causes it delivery material provided by the teacher is lacking understood by students. Study This is study quantitative, i.e experiment pseudo with nonequivalent control group design. The results of statistical test calculations are obtained mark T count 7,678> T table 1,668 with df 66, respectively second class the obtained P value = 0.00 ˂ 0.05. From the results of these statistical tests, method experiential learning stated effective in learning write text poetry to students class X SMA 1 Tukdana Year Teachings 2023/2024

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat siswa dalam pembelajaran sastra serta keterbatasan bahan ajar yang relevan dengan kehidupan mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan nilai moral dalam novel Rasa karya Tere Liye dan memanfaatkannya sebagai bahan ajar analisis isi dan kebahasaan novel di SMA kelas XII. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik membaca, mencatat, dan mendokumentasikan kutipan yang memuat nilai moral. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat kategori nilai moral, yaitu hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan 4 data, dengan dirinya sendiri 23 data, dengan sesama manusia 70 data, dan dengan alam 10 data. Temuan ini kemudian dikembangkan menjadi modul pembelajaran yang mendukung pemahaman isi, analisis kebahasaan, dan penguatan karakter siswa. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa novel Rasa layak dijadikan bahan ajar sastra yang kontekstual, menarik, dan bermanfaat dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.Kata Kunci: analisis isi, bahan ajar, kebahasaan, nilai moral, novel Rasa

Abstract

This research aims to develop a STEM–Engineering Design Process (STEM–EDP) student worksheet integrated with animated learning videos contextualized through socio-scientific issues (SSI) related to the Mahakam River ecosystem. The development was motivated by the lack of learning materials in junior high school science that meaningfully connect scientific concepts with local environmental problems while promoting higher order thinking and authentic STEM practices. This study employed a Research and Development design using the ADDIE model, limited to Analysis, Design, and Development stages. Four experts in content, media, and instructional design, together with a professional science teacher, participated in validating the product, while 86 Grade VII junior high school students from two schools in East Kalimantan were involved in assessing its practicality. Data was collected through expert validation sheets and student response questionnaires using a four-point Likert scale, and scores were analyzed by converting them into percentages to determine validity and practicality categories. The expert validation results showed an average score of 93%, indicating a very good level of feasibility, with animated videos receiving the highest score of 96%. Student responses also demonstrated strong acceptance, with an average score of 83.96% categorized as very good, reflecting high levels of clarity, engagement, and relevance. These findings indicate that integrating SSI, STEM–EDP frameworks, and animated media strengthens students’ conceptual understanding and supports meaningful learning experiences. Overall, the developed learning materials are theoretically valid and practically feasible, offering a pedagogical innovation that bridges scientific content, environmental context, and engineering-based problem solving for junior high school science education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of teachers’ pedagogical competence and school organizational culture on teacher performance in elementary schools within the Penajam Paser Utara cluster, East Kalimantan. The research employed a quantitative approach using an ex post facto design. The population consisted of 106 elementary school teachers, with a sample of 84 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires to teachers who served as research respondents. The collected data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22. The results of the study indicate that teachers’ pedagogical competence has a significant effect on teacher performance with a t-value of 2.463. School organizational culture also shows an influence on teacher performance with a t-value of 0.597. Furthermore, simultaneously, teachers’ pedagogical competence and school organizational culture have a significant effect on teacher performance with an F-value of 6.082 and a significance level of 0.003. These findings suggest that improving teacher performance can be achieved through strengthening teachers’ pedagogical competence and developing a supportive, collaborative, and conducive school organizational culture that promotes effective learning processes.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the gap between students’ understanding of Pancasila values and their actual behavior in daily school life. Students are generally able to memorize the principles of Pancasila, but have not fully implemented them in attitudes and behavior. This study aims to analyze internal factors influencing the attitudes and behavior of fifth-grade students in practicing Pancasila values in elementary school and to describe the forms of implementation. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The research was conducted at SDN 133/I Pasar Terusan. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that internal factors influencing the practice of Pancasila values include self-awareness, intrinsic motivation, understanding of values, and self-control. The forms of practicing Pancasila values were reflected in cooperation, social care, discipline, responsibility, and respect for others’ opinions. However, these practices were not consistently carried out by all students. Therefore, internal factors play an important role in shaping students’ attitudes and behavior in practicing Pancasila values.

Abstract

Pengklik Village in Madurejo Village, Kapanewon Prambanan, has great shallot farming potential but faces limitations in productivity and product added value. This study aims to analyse the application of Smart Agro Culture based on the Internet of Things (IoT) in increasing harvest productivity and strengthening onion MSME entrepreneurship. The research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach with comparative analysis of crop yields before and after the application of IoT technology. Data was obtained from field observations, MSME questionnaires, and production records on an area of 660 m² of onions. The results show a significant increase in harvest productivity, from 173 kg in 2023 to 2710 kg in 2024, after using IoT-based automatic sprinkle systems. In addition, the application of IoT supports the process of standardising MSME products through digital processing, packaging, and marketing. These findings confirm that IoT-based Smart Agro Culture not only increases productivity but also strengthens the competitiveness of local MSME entrepreneurship.
