Abstract

This research aims: (1) knowing the form of teaching material writing a description text based on religious tourism makassar city in Class VII junior high school; (2) test the feasibility of teaching material writing a description text based on religious tourism of Makassar City in Class VII junior high school. This research is research and development that uses Borg and Gall theory by adapting Sugiyono's development steps, namely preliminary study of potential and problems, product design, and validation tests. This research resulted in a product of teaching material writing the description text and obtained the final results of validator assessment of the teaching material showed that the content feasibility component of the average of 0.89 categories was very feasible, the presentation feasibility component obtained an average of 0.91 categories very feasible, the language component obtained an average of 0.94 categories very feasible, graph components obtained an average of 0.91 categories very decent, and the implication component to the development of text writing.  The description earns an average of 0.92 very decent categories.

Abstract

Culture uses a cultural approach in Cultural Critical Discourse Analysis (CCDA) by Gavriely Nuri, which includes normalization and alienation strategies. This qualitative descriptive study uses data in the form of news texts, statements by public figures, and policy discourses obtained from digital media. Data collection techniques use documentation and observation techniques of library studies. Data analysis uses triangulation techniques of sources, methods, and experts. The results of the analysis show that the normalization strategy is carried out by naturalizing the need to form a ministry, historical-based justification, and strengthening national symbols. On the other hand, the alienation strategy is found through framing political conflicts, blurring the focus of policies, and creating exclusivity narratives. These findings reveal that the narrative of the formation of the Ministry of Culture reflects the complexity of politics and culture in the construction of national identity, while also showing the important role of the media in shaping public opinion. This study contributes to a critical understanding of the relationship between media, public policy, and cultural representation, and offers important insights for creating a more inclusive and culturally just discourse. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan representasi wacana publik pembentukan Kementerian Kebudayaan menggunakan pendekatan budaya dalam Cultural Critical Discourse Analysis (CCDA) oleh Gavriely Nuri, yang mencakup strategi normalisasi dan keterasingan. Studi deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan data berupa teks berita, pernyataan tokoh publik, dan diskursus kebijakan yang diperoleh dari media digital. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi dan observasi studi pustaka. Analisis data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber, metode, dan pakar. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa strategi normalisasi dilakukan dengan naturalisasi kebutuhan pembentukan kementerian, justifikasi berbasis historis, dan penguatan simbol nasional. Di sisi lain, strategi keterasingan ditemukan melalui framing konflik politik, pengaburan fokus kebijakan, dan penciptaan narasi eksklusivitas. Temuan ini mengungkap bahwa narasi pembentukan Kementerian Kebudayaan mencerminkan kompleksitas politik dan budaya dalam konstruksi identitas nasional, sekaligus memperlihatkan peran penting media dalam pembentukan opini publik. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman kritis tentang relasi antara media, kebijakan publik, dan representasi budaya, serta menawarkan wawasan penting untuk menciptakan diskursus yang lebih inklusif dan berkeadilan budaya.

Abstract

The PISA score in 2022 decreased by 12 points from the previous edition. This result is the lowest score on record and extends the downward trend in scores from the last five editions of the assessment. In reading tests, reading techniques and materials affect students' reading ability. This study aims to reveal the effect of reading materials and reading frequency on students' reading comprehension ability. Quantitative research was applied to 64 samples. The research data were collected using questionnaires and objective tests. The results showed that students who liked reading digital reading had better reading comprehension (mean rank: 36.58) than students who liked reading print (mean rank: 29.88). Based on the frequency of reading, students' interest in reading was classified as low: high (n= 1); medium (n= 15); and low (n= 48). Reading frequency was positively correlated with reading comprehension performance. High reading frequency has the best reading comprehension performance (mean rank: 62.00), medium frequency (mean rank: 38.33), and low frequency (mean rank: 30.06). Students' low interest in reading is a signal for interventions to develop students' interest in reading, which has implications for improving academic performance.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to prove the significant effect of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based media on critical thinking skills and exposition text writing skills of class X students of UPT SMA Negeri 4 Luwu. This study used a true experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design model. All class X students of UPT SMA Negeri 4 Luwu were the population in this study. Data collection techniques through written tests before and after treatment. The results of the analysis indicate that there is a significant effect of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based media on students' critical thinking skills. The results of the Paired Sample T Test show  = 30.668 > = 2.013 with a Sig. value. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05 so that H₁ is accepted. The average critical thinking ability increased from 47.13 (low category) to 75.96 (high category). The use of Artificial Intelligence media also has a significant effect on students' exposition text writing skills. The results of the Paired Sample T Test show = 8.935 > = 2.013 with a Sig. value. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05 so that H₁ is accepted. The average writing skills increased from 58.94 (less category) to 76.38 (sufficient category).

Abstract

This research aims to describe the problematic reading literacy culture of SMPN 1 South Bontonompo students. The method used in this research is the field research method. This research utilizes qualitative data obtained from interviews with students. The data analysis technique in this research is Miles and Huberman's qualitative data analysis with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion and verification. The results of this study show that the problematic of literacy culture in the family environment is divided into 3 indicators, namely: Parents' education and economy are supporting and inhibiting factors. Reading material is one of the things needed in reading activities. Meanwhile, the problems of literacy culture in the school environment are divided into 4 indicators, namely infrastructure, reading materials, the role of teachers, and school policies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh pengetahuan akuntansi, norma subyektif dan dukungan pemerintah terhadap pengambilan keputusan bisnis pelaku UMKM. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini ditentukan berdasarkan besar sampel minimal yaitu jumlah indikator pada penelitian ini 12 dikali 10 sehingga sampel berjumlah 120. Selanjutnya metode yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan akuntansi tidak berpengaruh terhadap pengambilan keputusan bisnis, hasil ini menunjukkan gambaran bahwa pelaku UMKM dalam pengambilan keputusan bisnis tidak menjadikan basis informasi akuntansi sebagai dasar pertimbangan utama. Norma subyektif berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pengambilan keputusan bisnis pelaku UMKM. Hal ini karena norma subyektif dapat menjadi pendorong yang positif dalam pengambilan keputusan bisnis, dengan menciptakan hubungan yang kuat antara pelaku usaha dengan orang-orang disekitarnya. Selanjutnya dukungan pemerintah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pengambilan keputusan bisnis pelaku UMKM karena dapat memberikan keuntungan dan insentif yang mempermudah pengembangan usaha.

Abstract

The ability to conduct item analysis is one of the essential competencies that prospective teachers must have in the context of learning evaluation. However, in reality, many prospective teachers do not have adequate understanding and skills in analyzing the quality of questions quantitatively, especially in measuring the level of difficulty and the index of distinguishing power. This community service activity aims to improve the competence of prospective student teachers through practice-based item analysis training. The method used in this activity is structured training which includes providing conceptual material, practicing manual and digital calculations using Microsoft Excel, discussions, and pretest and posttest evaluations. The results of the training showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the concept of item analysis and their ability to apply it technically. In addition, participants showed high enthusiasm and stated that the training was very relevant to their needs as future educators. This activity makes an important contribution in preparing students to face professional challenges as teachers who are able to design and evaluate assessments objectively and with quality.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan Artificial Intelligence (AI), khususnya ChatGPT, terhadap keterampilan berbicara kritis dan menulis kritis peserta didik kelas X di UPT SMA Negeri 3 Bone. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen sejati (true experimental design) menggunakan model pretest dan posttest control group. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes keterampilan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan, dan dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan berbicara kritis (dari 71,51 menjadi 80,03) dan keterampilan menulis kritis (dari 73,96 menjadi 91,33) setelah menggunakan AI. Uji t menunjukkan nilai signifikan (Sig. < 0,05), baik dalam paired sample t-test maupun independent sample t-test. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan AI efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara kritis dan menulis kritis peserta didik.

Abstract

Permasalahan konsumsi energi listrik yang tidak efisien menjadi tantangan penting dalam dunia teknik dan pendidikan. Mahasiswa sebagai calon teknisi dan tenaga ahli perlu dibekali keterampilan dalam menerapkan prinsip efisiensi energi secara praktis, salah satunya melalui instalasi listrik yang tepat guna. Melalui kegiatan pelatihan oleh laboratorium-KBK sistem tenaga Jurusan Teknik Elektro bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas mahasiswa dalam memahami dan menerapkan sistem pencahayaan yang efisien melalui edukasi teoritis dan praktik pengukuran intensitas cahaya (lux) berdasarkan standar. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan, praktik lapangan, pengukuran lux, dan simulasi instalasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman konseptual dan keterampilan teknis mahasiswa. Hasil pengukuran intensitas pencahayaan yang telah dilakukan pada ruang laboratorium sistem tenaga peserta melakukan simulasi untuk mengetahui distribusi pencahayaan. Menggunakan Software DIALux-evo memberikan hasil nilai distribusi lux pada setiap area tampak atas dan visualisasi secara 3D. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan pentingnya integrasi edukasi teknis dengan praktik lapangan sebagai strategi penguatan kapasitas mahasiswa dalam bidang ketenagalistrikan.

Abstract

This research aims to describe advertising text writing skills using problem based learning and project based learning models and test the effectiveness of the problem based learning model on the advertising text writing skills of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 5 Mandai. The design of this research is quasi experimental. The research sample consisted of 124 students who were grouped into experimental and control classes. The instrument of this research is a test consisting of an initial test and a final test. The data analysis technique used is descriptive and inferential analysis in the form of normality tests, homogeneity tests and hypothesis tests. The results of this research show that the average score of students using the problem based learning model was 82.09. Meanwhile, the project based learning model obtained 73.54. Although, both are in the "skilled" category. However, the average score for advertising text writing skills using the problem based learning model is much higher than the project based learning model with a difference of 8.55. Next, based on the results of the hypothesis test, the Asymp calculation is obtained. sig. (2-tailed) 0.004 < 0.05 that the use of the problem based learning model is effective on the advertising text writing skills of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 5 Mandai.
