Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji keefektifan Aplikasi Undercover Game untuk meningkatkan kosa kata siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pra-eksperimental. Sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VII SMP N 25 Pontianak pada Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh hasil bahwa Aplikasi Game Undercover meningkatkan kosakata siswa. Nilai t-hitung komputasi lebih besar dibandingkan dengan t-tabel (10,50 > 1,697) yang berarti hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak. Skor effect size sebesar 1,78 >1,00, dikategorikan 'kuat'. Antusiasme siswa juga terlihat selama proses belajar mengajar. Mereka antusias memainkan Aplikasi Game Undercover dengan menjelaskan kata-kata rahasianya dan mendapatkan kosa kata baru. Kesimpulannya, Aplikasi Game Undercover meningkatkan kosakata siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of administrative staff competence on student administrative services at UPT SMPN 2 Ajangale, Bone Regency using a quantitative approach. The population in this study were students at UPT SMPN 2 Ajangale, Bone Regency, totaling 190 students. While the number of samples in this study was carried out using Slovin's opinion, from the calculation results obtained a sample size of 66 students. Data collection was carried out in two ways, namely questionnaires (questionnaires) and documentation. The data analysis technique uses percentage analysis, Pearson product moment correlation coefficient analysis, and determination coefficient analysis. The results of research and data analysis show that, (1) the competence of administrative staff at UPT SMPN 2 Ajangale Bone Regency received a very good assessment, with a percentage of 80%, (2) administrative services for students at SMPN 2 Ajangale Bone Regency were also in the very good category, with a percentage of 79%, (3) there is an effect of administrative staff competence of 60.5% on student administrative services, while the remaining 39.5% is influenced by other aspects not examined in this study. From these results, it shows that the higher the competence of administrative staff at UPT SMPN 2 Ajangale, Bone Regency, the more administrative services for students will increase.

Abstract

Abstrak Sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas di masa depan dan penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi serta ketrampilan membutuhkan penyelenggaraan pendidikan yang bermutu pada semua jenjang Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan sarana prasarana terhadap kinerja di SMAN 1 Trimurjo. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pndekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru di SMAN 1 Trimurjo yang berjumlah 54 orang guru. Tehnik pengambilan sampel adalah dengan tehnik total sampling, dimana keseluruhan populasi dijadikan sampel. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan secara parsial terhadap kinerja guru. Sarana prasarana berpengaruh positif dan signifikan secara parsial terhadap kinerja guru. Serta berdasarkan pengujian simultan ditemukan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dan sarana prasarana secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. hasil perhitungn analisis regresi linier sederhana, yang memberikan nilai R-Square sebesar 0,944, yang berarti sebesar 94.4% gaya kepemimpinan transformasional sangat mempengaruhi kinerja guru, dan sisanya 5,6% dipengaruhi variabel diluar penelitian ini. Sehingga dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Dengan demikian hipotesis gaya kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh terhadap kierja guru di SMAN 1 Trimurjo Kata kunci: gaya kepemimpinan transforasional,sarana prasarana, kinerja guru Abstract Quality human resources in the future and mastery of science, technology and skills require the provision of quality education at all levels. This research aims to determine transformational leadership style and infrastructure on performance at SMAN 1 Trimurjo. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. The population in this study were teachers at SMAN 1 Trimurjo, totaling 54 teachers. The sampling technique is a total sampling technique, where the entire population is sampled. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression. The research results show that the transformational leadership style has a partially positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Infrastructure has a partially positive and significant effect on teacher performance. And based on simultaneous testing, it was found that transformational leadership style and infrastructure simultaneously had a significant effect on teacher performance. The results of simple linear regression analysis calculations, which give an R-Square value of 0.944, which means that 94.4% of transformational leadership styles greatly influence teacher performance, and the remaining 5.6% are influenced by variables outside this research. So it can be concluded that the transformational leadership style has a significant effect on teacher performance. Abstract

Teknologi juga dimanfaatkan dan sangat menunjang bidang pendidikan. Pemanfaatan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEK). Salah satu penggunaan teknologi dalam pendidikan adalah pemnafaatan tekonologi dalam kegiatan evaluasi pembelajaran. Teknologi yang dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan evaluasi pembelajaran salah satunya adalah Quizizz. Media evaluasi pembelajaran Quizizz juga memberikan data dan statistik tentang kinerja siswa, bahkan bisa mendownload statistik ini dalam bentuk spreadsheet Excel. Guru dapat melacak jumlah jawaban siswa. Pemanfaatan quizizz membantu pendidik dalam melakukan evaluasi tanpa dibatasi tempat, tampilan yang menarik dan pengaturan waktu yang diatur menuntun konsentrasi siswa. Oleh karena itu, tim pengabdian melaksanakan pelatihan pemanfaatan Quizizz sebagai media evaluasi pembelajaran bagi guru di Kabupaten Cirebon. Materi pengabdian meliputi Pengenalan Quizizz; Pentingnya teknologi dalam hal ini Quizizz dalam evaluasi pembelajaran; Praktik memanfaatkan Quizizz sebagai media evaluasi pembelajaran. Pelatihan menggunakan teknik ceramah, tanya jawab, dan simulasi agar guru mendapatkan pengalaman langsung dan mendapat pengayaan dari tim pengabdian. Kegiatan pengabdian berdampak pada peningkatan motivasi dan kemampuan guru memanfaatkan Quizizz sebagai media evaluasi pembelajaran. Seluruh peserta pelatihan memiliki pandangan positif terhadap pelatihan pemanfaatan Quizizz sebagai media evaluasi pembelajaran dan memandang tingkat kebermanfaatan kegiatan pelatihan pada tingkat bermanfaat dan sangat bermanfaat.

Abstract

This study was aimed to find out the teaching strategies that used by the teacher in teaching reading comprehension of narrative text in X grade of SMA Negeri 1 Semparuk. The participant of this is research is an English teacher who has been teaching for about 18 years in SMA Negeri 1 Semparuk. A descriptive qualitative design was employed in this research by using semi-structured interview and observation as the technique of data collection. The findings of the research showed that the teacher used two strategies in teaching reading comprehension of narrative text they were small group discussion strategy and Questions and Answers Relationship (QnAR) strategy. The teacher used small group discussion strategy in helping students to get the same opportunity to understand the material. Another strategy was Questions and Answers Relationship (QnAR) strategy used in order to obtain students’ critical thinking. Furthermore, QnAR strategy was used in measuring and knowing students’ understanding about the material. In addition, the finding showed that these strategies gave good impact to influence students’ reading comprehension ability of narrative text. It can be seen from the teaching learning process and the score of the individual evaluation test.

Abstract

This research is to identify how the students’ perception of using movie to improve students’ English speaking skill of SMA Negeri 2 Mempawah Hilir. It is a descriptive study and the participants are 60 students of year-11 of SMA Negeri2 Mempawah Hilir. The data were obtained using questionnaires. The data analysis is focused on students’ perception as the main component supporting compelling education and learning. The result of this research were analyzed qualitatively. The findings showed that the students have mostly been positively responded. It can be seen from the results of the questionnaire. For positive response, the students expect it would give them more many educational movies published that can help them supplement their education. Overall, it can be concluded that using movie had been contributed to improve the students’ English speaking skill.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the experience of the exchange participants in practicing their teaching competencies through practical experience and teaching abroad. This study used qualitative research. The data were collected using a questionnaire and continued by interview. There were three exchange participants from the English Education batch 2015 and 2016 students in this research. They went to Malaysia in 2018-2019 and did a teaching project in one of the AIESEC programs called Global Volunteer. The result of the study showed that the exchange participants' experiences were relevant to practicing teaching skills. Therefore, the Global Volunteer program could be a place for English Students who want to practice their English skills and teaching competencies

Abstract

The research was aimed to find out students’ perception towards the use of Facebook for written communication outside of the classroom tenuously. The research was conducted in a descriptive quantitative study that was accomplished at the Eleventh grade students of Multimedia program major at SMK Negeri 6 Pontianak. The survey questionnaire was administered to the 50 participants throughout Google Form to collect the data accessibly. The result elucidated that the ground of Facebook had positively reinforced students (96%) to communicate in the English language within solitary and intercommunication state. Accordingly, the finding in the research presented that 80% of students agreed that Facebook is easy and pleasing to communicate in English autonomously. Further, 88% of students agreed that Facebook personal chat is the most used feature to communicate in English conveniently. Additionally, 66% of students agreed that Facebook allowed them to utilize English for written communication. In sum, the students were agreed on Facebook as a helpful platform for communication. It was shown in 50% students disagreed that they feel less embarrassed to communicate in English on Facebook as a challenge. Hence, students’ personal interest on Facebook can be channeled to communicate in English collaboratively. It is suggested that the use of Facebook for communication in English language considerably set the tool to encourage school integration of the educational technologically external environment.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the English teachers’ strategy in writing activities at the eighth grade of Junior High Schools at Kembayan sub-district and how the English teachers implement the strategy. This research used a descriptive qualitative design. The data were gathered from observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of this research showed that there were four teachers’ strategies for writing activities in the eighth grade. The strategies were guided writing strategy, repeating strategy, cooperating with peers strategy, and translation strategy. In implementing the teaching strategy, the English teacher asked the students to write some expressions and dialogues depending on the strategy used. The teacher who used the repeating strategy asked students to copy the expressions or dialogues in the textbook into their workbooks. For the translation strategy, the teacher asked students to translate expressions or dialogues and then asked them to write the translation in the workbook. For the guided writing strategy, the teacher wrote a dialogue on the whiteboard and asked students to write a dialogue using the random words given by following the template on the whiteboard. For the cooperating with peers strategy, the teacher asked students to discuss in a group and then write a dialogue. These strategies could help teachers in teaching students and also encourage students to participate in the teaching and learning process actively.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar belakang masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya inovasi guru dalam bekerja. Guru terkesan melakukan pekerjaan seperti kebiasan tanpa adanya inovasi. Hal ini tentu menyebabkan tujuan pendidikan tidak tercapai secara optimal. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan kepala sekolah untuk meningkatakan inovasi kerja guru adalah dengan pemberian supervisi klinis. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru di SD Negeri 026 Rambah yang berjumlah 8 orang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket dan wawancara. Supervisi klinis terbukti secara ilmiah dapat meningkatkan inovasi kerja guru dalam menyusun silabus, Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan Observasi Kelas. Hal ini terbukti dengan meningkatnya penilaian silabus guru sebesar 28,59%, peningkatan penilaian Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) sebesar 28,61% dan peningkatan kegiatan observasi kelas sebesar 26,19%.
