Abstract

Profitability serves as a crucial measure in evaluating a company's financial health, especially within the financing industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This research investigates the impact of Return on Assets (ROA) on the stock prices of financing firms. A quantitative approach was utilized, applying simple linear regression analysis. Data were sourced from annual reports and the official IDX website for the 2020–2023 period, with 24 data points selected using purposive sampling. Classical assumption testing confirmed that the model satisfied the conditions for normality and homoscedasticity. The analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between ROA and stock prices, with a coefficient of 100.070 and an R² of 0.556, meaning ROA accounts for 55.6% of stock price variation. The findings are in line with signaling theory, highlighting ROA as an indicator of company efficiency and stability during uncertain economic conditions. The study suggests that firms should enhance asset utilization to sustain profitability, investors should consider ROA in their evaluations, and future studies should integrate additional financial metrics for a broader analysis.

Abstract

Water is one of the most essential natural resources for living organisms. Tonjong Village is a residential, agricultural, and fish farming area. According to the test results from the Environmental Laboratory Unit of the Environmental Agency, the groundwater quality in Tonjong Village shows the following physical and chemical parameters: TDS 3352 mg/L, TSS 11 mg/L, pH 6.85, Hardness (CaCO?) 1100 mg/L, COD 9.34 mg/L, and BOD 2.40 mg/L. This study aims to reduce TDS and water hardness using a multi-stage treatment method. The research consists of three stages: the preliminary stage, the equipment fabrication stage, and the testing stage. The results indicate a decrease in TDS from 3352 mg/L to 1380 mg/L and a reduction in hardness using material variation 2 from 1100 mg/L to 752.5 mg/L.

Abstract

Disposable batteries are commonly found in dry batteries (or zinc-carbon batteries) that are discarded and converted into waste. Zinc-carbon batteries have a physical component, a carbon rod that has a graphitic carbon component that has a black pigment. This black pigment is utilized as an alternative black carbon material for the manufacture of whiteboard marker ink. This research aims to utilize graphite carbon from waste batteries as a pigment in whiteboard marker ink and test the formulation of ink samples. The supporting materials in this research are glycerin, thinner, gum arabic solution, and emulsion. The best ink sample has a density value of 1.35 g/cm3, a viscosity of 0.13 Poise, a transmittance of 72 lux, a pH of 7.67, adhesion has a dense wet nature and moderate absorbency, and non-volatility of 75% ink using a carbon mass of 6.5 grams and the ratio of thinner and glycerin is 2:5.

The housing sector is one of the attractive investment alternatives because its demand continues to increase. This study aims to assess the feasibility of investing in Sakura type houses at Chrysant Luxland Lamongan Housing project. The method used is investment feasibility analysis with the Net Present Value (NPV) approach. The data analyzed includes development costs, sales assumptions, and relevant interest rates. A descriptive quantitative approach was used in data processing. The results showed that the project generated an NPV value of Rp 221,248,788.21. This value reflects the positive added value of the investment made. Thus, the construction project of Sakura type houses is financially feasible. This investment is able to provide potential profits and a good return on capital. Based on these results, the Sakura type house in Chrysant Luxland Lamongan Housing can be used as a promising investment option, especially in the midst of the high community need for decent housing and continues to increase from time to time.

Abstract

Hospital marketing through social media is proven to influence patients' interest in visiting the hospital. This study aims to assess patients' preferences in the use of digital marketing and their decision to visit Private Hospital MY. This study used a descriptive method. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a 5-level Likert scale measurement on 27 outpatients and inpatients during August 2024. The questionnaire contains patient perspectives on the role of digital media in helping to choose a hospital to get health services. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that all respondents agreed that information through digital advertising played an important role in choosing a hospital. Most respondents (67%) had seen digital advertisements for Private Hospital MY. However, only a few respondents (7%) stated that they visited Private Hospital MY because they saw the advertisement. Most of them visited Private Hospital MY because of family recommendations and hospital facilities. The results of this study can be used as a basis for hospital management to develop hospital marketing initiatives by optimizing digital marketing in increasing the number of patient visits to Private Hospital MY.

Abstract

Early reading skills represent fundamental prerequisites for academic success, yet many first-grade students, particularly those with learning difficulties, struggle to master these competencies. This study investigated the effectiveness of multisensory contextual learning strategies in improving early reading skills among students with learning difficulties in inclusive classroom settings. A classroom action research design following Kemmis and McTaggart's spiral model was employed over three months (April-June 2025) at an inclusive elementary school in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Twenty-five first-grade students participated, including four students with learning difficulties who served as the primary focus. The intervention utilized Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, and Tactile (VAKT) approaches integrated with contextual learning principles. Data collection employed observations, parent interviews, and cognitive assessments across two intervention cycles. Statistical analysis included paired-sample t-tests to evaluate pre-post intervention differences. Students with learning difficulties demonstrated statistically significant improvements across all measured domains. Cognitive scores increased from 15.62 to 21.25 (t = 6.45, p < 0.05), while affective domain measures improved from 1.42 to 2.42 (t = 6.16, p < 0.05). Pre-reading skills enhanced from 1.75 to 2.75 (t = 6.12, p < 0.05). Over 80% of participants achieved predetermined early reading indicators. Qualitative observations revealed increased confidence, motivation, and active participation in reading activities. The multisensory contextual approach effectively addressed reading difficulties by engaging multiple sensory pathways and connecting learning to students' experiential contexts. Findings support existing literature on neuroeducational benefits of multisensory instruction and validate contextual learning theories. The intervention's success using readily available materials demonstrates practical feasibility for diverse educational settings, contributing evidence for inclusive pedagogy and differentiated instruction approaches.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the continuous changes in people’s lives resulting from advances in science and technology, particularly in education. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Information was obtained from the head of the madrasah, the chairman of the madrasah committee, teachers, and students. Data were analyzed using a descriptive narrative technique through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through triangulation of respondents, methods, and time. The findings reveal that the use of information technology, specifically the WhatsApp application, in the learning process at MA Ma'arif Roudlotuth Tholibin, serves not only as a medium, source, and tool for evaluation but also as a stimulus for student engagement. Students reported feeling less bored, more motivated, and more actively involved in learning. The use of WhatsApp as a learning medium helps overcome students’ limited experiences, fosters interaction with their environment, ensures uniformity of understanding, and supports the development of appropriate basic concepts. Furthermore, it enhances students’ interests, regulates learning pace, and provides a comprehensive learning experience from concrete to abstract concepts. Contribution: This study contributes to the field of educational technology by demonstrating how the integration of a widely accessible communication tool—WhatsApp—can effectively enhance student motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes in a madrasah context. It highlights the potential of low-cost, familiar platforms to bridge technological gaps in education and to create more dynamic and interactive learning environments.
