This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services using the Actualizing Human Strengths technique in fostering student empathy. The approach used is a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest Design. The research subjects consisted of six 7th-grade students from class VII-J at MTsN 2 Medan who were identified as having low levels of empathy based on the pretest results. Data were collected using an empathy scale questionnaire modified from the Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and the Paired Sample T-Test. The results revealed a significant increase in empathy scores after the intervention, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that group counseling services employing the Actualizing Human Strengths technique effectively enhance empathy among students at MTsN 2 Medan.

This quasi-experimental study evaluated the effectiveness of group counseling with self-control techniques in reducing anger among 19 eighth-grade students at UPT SMPN 22 Medan, Indonesia. The research employed a pretest-posttest control group design, with anger levels assessed using the Clinical Anger Scale (Snell et al., 1995). Quantitative results revealed a significant reduction in anger scores among the treatment group (pretest M = 36.67, posttest M = 15.22, p < 0.001), indicating a strong effect of the intervention. The data met assumptions of normality (Shapiro-Wilk p > 0.05) and homogeneity of variance (Levene’s p = 0.249), supporting the validity of statistical analyses. Complementary qualitative data collected through participant observation and brief interviews emphasized improvements in emotional self-regulation, interpersonal communication, and peer support. These findings suggest that integrating self-control techniques into group counseling can serve as a practical and culturally responsive strategy for managing adolescent anger in Indonesian school contexts. The study contributes to the limited body of research on school-based mental health interventions in non-Western educational environments.

Students are in a developmental phase that is full of challenges, both academically and socially-psychologically. Peer pressure is one of the dominant factors influencing students' decision-making, especially in campus organisation participation. Many students join organisations not out of personal interest but rather due to social pressure to be accepted in their environment. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of group counselling using the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) technique in reducing peer pressure while also increasing students' interest in organising. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a One-Group pretest-posttest design experimental setup. The study subjects consisted of six third-semester students from BKPI-2 UINSU who were identified as having high levels of peer pressure. The research instruments used were the Peer Pressure Scale and the Organisational Participation Interest Scale, which have been validated and are reliable. The intervention was carried out through six sessions of SMART-based group counselling. The analysis results using a paired sample t-test showed a significant decrease in peer pressure from high to low (p < 0.05) and a significant increase in organisational interest from low to high (p < 0.05), with a very large effect size. These findings prove that the SMART technique of group counselling effectively reduces social pressure and enhances students' intrinsic motivation. This research has implications for developing counselling services in higher education, particularly in helping students make more independent social decisions that align with their personal goals

This study is a quantitative research employing a quasi-experimental model with a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design, which compares the results before and after the intervention between two different groups. The population of this study consisted of seventh-grade students at MTs Swasta Darul Ulum Budi Agung who were identified as having verbal aggression behaviour, with a sample of 16 students divided into experimental and control groups, each consisting of eight students, selected through purposive sampling. The instrument used to measure students’ verbal aggression behaviour was a questionnaire developed based on Kartini Kartono’s framework, which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using the paired sample t-test and the independent sample t-test. The findings revealed a significant decrease in students’ verbal aggression behaviour in the experimental group, with the average pretest score increasing from 53.38 (low category) to 95.63 (high category) in the posttest. This was supported by a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating the effectiveness of the intervention in reducing students’ verbal aggression behaviour. Therefore, it can be concluded that group counselling services with symbolic modelling techniques are effective in reducing verbal aggression among junior high school students, and it is recommended that they be implemented as a preventive strategy in school counselling services.

Ulama sepakat bahwa ilmu Tafsir Alquran adalah disiplin ilmu tertua dalam khazanah ilmu pengetahuan Islam. Ilmu yang lahir sejak zaman Rasulullah Saw dan terus berkembang sampai sekarang. Kelahiran ilmu ini tentu tidak lepas dari kebutuhan untuk memahami maksud ayat-ayat Allah yang tertulis dalam kitab-Nya. Bahasa Alquran yang memiliki mutu dan kualitas sangat tinggi, tak ada manusia bahkan jin yang mampu menandinginya, memerlukan pemahaman- pemahaman yang mendalam agar manusia sebagai khalifah-Nya di muka bumi tidak tersesat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang konsep ta'lim dalam Al-Qur'an. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang konsep ta'lim dalam Al-Qur'an. Metode analisis teks dan pendekatan interpretatif digunakan untuk menggali makna-makna yang tersembunyi dalam ayat-ayat Al-Qur'an. Banyaknya ayat-ayat yang membedah terminologi pendidikan sebagai ta’lim. Sehingga memberikan kewenangan kepada setiap Muslim yang untuk senantiasa mengkaji, merenung, dan mengamalkan makna-maknanya. Berbicara khusus mengenai pendidikan dalam terminologinya sebagai ta’lim. Perlu kiranya lembaga-lembaga pendidikan Islam mengembangkan sebuah sistem atau metode pendidikan yang sesuai dengan nafas Islam, berdasarkan kepada Alquran dan As- Sunnah. Insya Allah, jika dua pusaka itu kita pegang-teguh dalam usaha melahirkan generasi unggulan, pertolongan dan janji-Nya yang membaiat kita sebagai ummat terbaik di antara manusia akan betul-betul terealisasi di masa depan.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas layanan konseling kelompok dengan teknik reframing dalam mereduksi perilaku impulsive buying pada mahasiswa Prodi Bimbingan dan Konseling Pendidikan Islam (BKPI) UINSU angkatan 2023 yang menggunakan Shopee dan Tiktok Shop. Perilaku impulsive buying dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif, seperti masalah keuangan, rendahnya kontrol diri, serta ketidakstabilan emosi yang berpengaruh terhadap kesejahteraan mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain one group pre-test post-test. Sampel penelitian berjumlah tujuh (7) mahasiswa pengguna aplikasi Shopee dan Tiktok Shop yang memiliki tingkat impulsive buying tinggi. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa skala impulsive buying yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Perlakuan berupa layanan konseling kelompok dengan teknik reframing ditujukan untuk membantu mahasiswa mengubah sudut pandang yang maladaptif menjadi lebih rasional dan adaptif terhadap perilaku belanja daring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan skor impulsive buying setelah layanan diberikan. Rata-rata skor pre-test sebesar 48,57 menurun menjadi 31,00 pada post-test. Hasil uji Wilcoxon menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,018 < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Dengan demikian, layanan konseling kelompok dengan teknik reframing efektif dalam mengurangi perilaku impulsive buying mahasiswa. Temuan ini memperlihatkan bahwa konseling kelompok berbasis reframing dapat menjadi strategi intervensi yang bermanfaat dalam membantu mahasiswa mengendalikan dorongan berbelanja secara impulsif, meningkatkan regulasi diri, serta membangun pola pengambilan keputusan yang lebih sehat.

Penelitian yang telah dilakukan berjudul “Efektivitas Layanan Konseling Individu dengan eknik Miracle Question dalam Meningkatkan Resiliensi Siswa Broken Home” yang dilatarbelakangi oleh temuan lapangan bahwa sejumlah siswa broken home mengalami permasalahan psikologis, seperti rendahnya motivasi belajar, kesulitan mengelola emosi, dan kecenderungan menarik diri dari lingkungan sosial. Kondisi tersebut menunjukkan perlunya intervensi untuk meningkatkan resiliensi mereka. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas layanan konseling individu dengan teknik miracle question dalam meningkatkan resiliensi siswa broken home. Metodologi penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain One Group Pre-test-Post-test. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SMA Negeri 13 Medan yang berasal dari keluarga broken home dengan jumlah sampel 3 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket resiliensi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Paired Sample t-test melalui SPSS versi 30. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa (1) telah terjadi peningkatan skor rata-rata resiliensi siswa broken home (2) layanan konseling individu dengan teknik miracle question terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan resiliensi siswa broken home. Berdasarkan pada temuan penelitian diatas maka layanan konseling individu dengan teknik miracle question, layak diterapkan oleh guru BK sebagai satu solusi untuk meningkatkan resiliensi siswa.

This article discusses the concept of Arabic language learning models applied to non-formal education, the method used to obtain data in this article is a literature review, the results of this article are useful as a reference for effective and efficient Arabic language learning for both formal and non-formal education. formal, this article also describes the appropriate approach to be taken in learning Arabic in the current era, this article also describes the steps that must be taken by teachers, educators, instructors and others, as a reference in adopting methods and techniques to achieve the goals desired Arabic language learning. It is hoped that the problems in learning Arabic both from a linguistic and non-linguistic perspective can be explained by carrying out further experiments and research. The author hopes that researchers, teachers and experts in Arabic language education will be able to continue researching, applying concepts to learning, as well as funding and budgeting. Arabic language learning project for this conceptualized model.
