Abstract

Purpose of the Study: This study aims to analyze the causal relationship between the leadership of madrasah heads, organizational culture, and the provision of rewards on the work motivation and performance of certified teachers in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) in Bireuen Regency. In particular, it seeks to uncover both the direct and indirect effects of these organizational factors on teacher performance through the mediating role of work motivation. Methodology: The research adopts an ex post facto design and employs exploratory quantitative analysis. A sample of 242 certified teachers was selected using random sampling, with a significance level of 0.05. Data were analyzed using path analysis to identify the magnitude and direction of influence among the variables. Main Findings: The findings reveal that the leadership of the madrasah head, organizational culture, and the provision of rewards each have a significant total effect both directly and indirectly on teacher performance. Leadership influences performance through motivational pathways, while organizational culture and reward systems serve as structural supports that reinforce professional commitment and productivity. Novelty/Originality of this Study: Unlike previous studies that often isolate one or two variables, this research presents a comprehensive and integrative model that simultaneously evaluates multiple external (leadership, culture, rewards) and internal (motivation) factors. Conducted in a unique institutional and geographic context public Islamic elementary schools in Bireuen Regency this study contributes novel empirical evidence relevant to performance improvement strategies in faith-based educational environments, especially in the post-certification era of Indonesian teacher reform.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dari peneliti, diketahui siswa kerap malu, kurang percaya diri, gugup, dan pasif dalam menyampaikan argumennya. Sehingga, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah guna mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik diskusi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berargumentasi siswa. Pendekatan pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan metode true – eksperimental, dengan desain pretest – posttest control group design. Populasi berjumlah 215 siswa kelas VIII siswa MTs Darul Ulum Budi Agung Medan, dengan jumlah 48 partisipan. Sampel berjumlah 16 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling, 16 sampel dibagi kedalam dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eskperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Dari hasil uji independent sampel t – test diketahui bahwa nilai sig.(2 – tailed) 0,00 < 0,05 dan nilai t hitung (12,06) > (2,145) sehingga disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh bimbingan teknik diskusi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berargumentasi siswa. Dan juga terdapat perubahan nilai pada kelompok pretest dan posttest pada kelompok eskperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Nilai rata – rata pretest kelompok eksperimen yaitu 39,00 sedangkan nilai posttest nya yaitu 71,88, nilai rata – rata kelompok kontrol pada kelompok eksperimen yaitu 39, 38, sedangkan nilai rata – rata posttestnya yaitu 57, 13, sehingga ada perubahan yang signifikan setelah diberi perlakuan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of using modeling techniques in improving students' learning motivation through group guidance services for class VIII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 57 Medan. The researcher applied a quantitative approach to measure the effect of treatment objectively through data that can be analyzed statistically. The type of research used was pre-experimental. The design chosen in this study was a one-group pretest-posttest design, which is a design involving one group that is given a pretest before treatment and a posttest after treatment, allowing researchers to observe changes or improvements that occur after the intervention is carried out. The population in this study consisted of all class VIII students, totaling 110 students, while the sample taken was 8 students with low levels of learning motivation. The sample collection technique used was non-probability sampling, especially purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out with a learning motivation scale. The analysis requirement test applied in the study as a requirement for this parametric statistical analysis was the Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, and Paired sample t-test, with a significance level of 5%. The results of the analysis showed the Asymp value. Sig (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. So, there is a real difference between the mean of the learning motivation indicator in the pretest and posttest (2-tailed), which is 0.000 < 0.005, which means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. After the implementation of group guidance with modeling techniques, there was an increase. In this regard, group guidance services with modeling techniques affect increasing learning motivation in class VIII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 57 Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation model of character education based on the pillars of Islamic religiosity (Faith, Islam, and Ihsan) in Islamic boarding schools as a response to the moral and character crisis of adolescents in the modern era. This study focused on two locations, namely Jabal Rahmah Islamic Boarding School and Al-Habib Islamic Boarding School, with a multi-site qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and field notes, and analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and verification of findings techniques. The results of the study showed that both Islamic boarding schools instilled core character values ​​such as faith, piety, noble morals, responsibility, discipline, simplicity, and social concern, which were integrated into daily activities and learning curriculum. The methods used included role models, habituation, discussion, self-reflection, and spiritual guidance. The difference between the two Islamic boarding schools lies in the specific approach: Jabal Rahmah emphasizes more on curriculum integration and entrepreneurship programs, while Al-Habib focuses on self-development and partnerships with parents. In conclusion, character education based on the pillars of religiosity in Islamic boarding schools has proven effective in forming the personality of students who are noble and religious. However, its success is influenced by environmental support, leadership patterns, learning methods, and the involvement of families and the surrounding community. Sustainable synergy between educational actors is the key to strengthening the internalization of character values ​​as a whole.

Abstract

(1) Latar Belakang: Penelitian ini mengkaji konsep PAI di MAN 1 Padangsidimpuan dalam membentuk karakter siswa di era globalisasi; (2) Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa: 1. konsep pendidikan agama Islam dalam meningkatkan karakter siswa di era globalisasi, (3) Metode: penelitian kualitatif lapangan dan data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi, kemudian data tersebut di analisis dengan teknik analisis data; (4) Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1. Konsep pendidikan agama Islam di MAN Padangsidimpuan bertujuan meningkatkan karakter siswa melalui pendekatan yang terintegrasi, seperti menanamkan aqidah yang kuat, mengajarkan akhlakul karimah, dan membekali pemahaman Al-Qur'an serta Hadits. Konsep PAI dikembangkan kontekstual dan relevan, dengan fokus pada pembentukan karakter sebagai visi madrasah; dan (5) Kesimpulan: Konsep PAI di MAN 1 Padangsidimpuan membentuk karakter siswa melalui aqidah, akhlak, dan pemahaman Al-Qur’an, dengan peran guru sebagai teladan dan dukungan teknologi serta orang tua.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of behavioral counseling with reward and punishment techniques in dealing with violations of the rules on students at Subulussalam Sayurmaincat Kotanopan. The research methodology in this study was PTBK, namely the research was conducted through two cycles. Each cycle I and II consists of four stages, namely: the planning stage, the action/implementation stage, the observation stage, the reflection stage. The subjects of this study were 15 students of Class XI MA Subulussalam Sayurmaincat Kotanopan. The results of this study indicate that the application of behavioral counseling with reward and punishment techniques can handle violations of the rules of conduct for students in Subulussalam Sayur Maincat, Nopan City. Through the application of Behavioral counseling with Reward and Punishment techniques, it is possible to handle students who violate the rules at MA Subulus salam Sayur Maincat Nopan City. Of the 15 students before being given the application of Behavioral counseling with Reward and Punishment techniques in dealing with students who violated the rules in the MA Subulussalam Sayur Maincat Kotanopan school, violations of the rules were still quite high. Furthermore, after being given the application of behavioral counseling with reward techniques in the form of praise and gifts both verbally and non-verbally, also given punishment in the form of memorizing youth oaths, their truant behavior can be reduced and they can be handled properly.

Abstract

This study aims to explain adult education in the Quran at surah al-An’am verses 74-75. This research is a qualitative research based on the tahlili method. The data analysis technique uses content analysis. The method of tahlili is used by the procedure of explaining the relationship of the verse which will be interpreted by the previous paragraph or after it or with the previous or subsequent surah; explain asbab nuzul; analyzing vocabulary; explain the meaning contained in each verses; and draw a conclusion. These verses illustrate the interaction between Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his father, as well as his journey toward certainty through contemplation and divine demonstration. The analysis reveals that Prophet Ibrahim’s approach reflects key characteristics of adult learning, such as intrinsic motivation, a focus on real-life experiences, and a learning process that is both emotional and intellectual. Two prominent learning methods identified are the method of admonition and questioning, used to raise awareness, and the method of demonstration, used to strengthen conviction. These findings offer valuable insights into the development of Islamic learning approaches grounded in revealed knowledge, especially in adult education, emphasizing experience, internalization, and learner autonomy.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the high learning saturation of students, which hinders their ability to receive and understand lessons, leads to sleeping in class, a lack of enthusiasm for learning, and truancy. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance services using the stress inoculation training technique to reduce student learning saturation. This research employs a quantitative method with a one group pretest posttest design. The population in this study is 72 students from grade XII at state high school 10 Medan, with a sample of 10 students who have high learning saturation, selected using purposive sampling with a non-test instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis used is the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with results showing that the asymp. Sig (2-tailed) significance value is less than () 0.05, which is an asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.003. The results obtained from the Wilcoxon signed rank test indicate that group counseling services using stress inoculation training techniques are effective in reducing students' learning boredom. The novelty of the research conducted by the researcher lies in the use of stress inoculation training techniques in the context of group counseling for students. Although stress inoculation training has been used in various therapeutic settings, its application in group counseling in schools is still rarely studied, and the situation after the findings indicate that students' learning boredom has decreased compared to before.

Abstract

This study article analyzes fonomena in implementing the values of moral education in academic services at STIT Al Hikmah Tebing Tinggi. The research method used in this research is qualitative with a phonomenology approach, which is to analyze the fonomenes in the implementation of the values of moral education at STIT Al Hikmah Tebing Tinggi. Based on the review of the explanation of the research results of the article above, it can be concluded that the following findings are that planning the implementation of moral education values in academic services by stipulating a standard rule of academic ethics involving lecturers, educational staff, and students. Implementing the implementation of moral education values in academic services by 1) providing an academic guidebook for the entire academic community that has been compiled by integrating the values of moral education. 2) Conducting public lectures to socialize about the academic ethics of STIT Al Hikmah Tebing Tinggi. 3) Oversee the development of the planning implementation by holding weekly meetings for the academic managers of STIT Al Hikmah Tebing Tinggi. 4) Provide sanctions and rewards for lecturers, students and exemplary education staff at STIT Al Hikmah Tebing Tinggi. Strategies in implementing the values of moral education in the learning process and academic services of STIT Al-Hikmah Tebing Tinggi by 1) Establishing academic ethics guidelines by integrating the values of moral education. 2) Building a sense of kinship through academic counseling, 3) modeling and habituation.

Abstract

The cultivation of monotheistic values in pesantren plays an important role in shaping the character and spirituality of santri. However, in the midst of the times influenced by globalization and modernization, the cultivation of the value of monotheism faces various challenges. This study aims to analyze the values of monotheism given to santri through Islamic counseling services, the implementation of the cultivation of monotheistic values, supporting and inhibiting factors, and efforts to overcome these obstacles in Langkat Regency Islamic Boarding Schools. The method used is qualitative with a multisite approach, which allows comparison of two pesantren to obtain a comprehensive understanding. The results showed that the values of tawheed taught included the tawheed of Rububiyah, Uluhiyah, and Asma wa Sifat. The implementation of instilling the value of tawhid is carried out through a systematic curriculum and varied methods. The main supporting factors include competent teaching, a religious environment, and family support. However, the influence of globalization and technology is a major challenge. Efforts to overcome obstacles involve integrating theory with worship practices, personal mentoring, and utilizing technology in learning. This study suggests the importance of cooperation between pesantren, families, and communities to support the internalization of the values of monotheism.
