Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis dan faktor penyebab kesalahan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal literasi matematika model AKM berdasarkan NEA (Newman’s Error Analysis).  Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah keseluruhan kesalahan dalam mengerjakan soal literasi model AKM, yaitu sebanyak 1.298 kesalahan. Jenis kesalahan dari yang terbanyak dilalami oleh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Temanggung dalam mengerjakan soal literasi matematika model AKM adalah (1) Kesalahan keterampilan proses sebanyak 416 kesalahan atau 32,05%; (2) Kesalahan transformasi sebanyak 365 kesalahan atau 28,12%; (3) Kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir sebanyak 358 kesalahan atau 27,58%; (4) Kesalahan memahami sebanyak 155 kesalahan atau 11,94%; dan (5) Kesalahan membaca sebanyak 4 kesalahan atau 0,31%. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan siswa melakukan kesalahan dalam mengerjakan soal literasi matematika model AKM., yaitu ketelitian siswa ketika mengerjakan soal, kemampuan dasar matematika siswa, dan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami soal ketika mendapatkan soal yang terdapat bacaan panjang.

Abstract

This study aimed to: (1) find out the effectiveness of scientific learning with cooperative learning STAD in terms of students’ mathematics learning achievement, (2) find out the effectiveness of scientific learning with cooperative learning Jigsaw in terms of students’ mathematics learning achievement, and (3) find out which one is more effective between scientific learning with cooperative learning STAD and scientific learning with cooperative learning Jigsaw in terms of students’ mathematics learning achievement. This study was a quasi-experimental research with the nonequivalent pretest-posttest group design. The study population included all students of grade VII in SMP Negeri 3 Mlati and the sample was class VII A and class VII B which were randomly selected. Data were analyzed by one sample t-test and independent sample t-test with significance value of 5%. The results of this study showed that: (1) scientific learning with cooperative learning STAD is effective in terms of students’ mathematics learning achievement, (2) scientific learning with cooperative learning Jigsaw is effective in terms of students’ mathematics learning achievement, and (3) scientific learning with cooperative learning STAD is not more effective than scientific learning with cooperative learning Jigsaw in terms of students’ mathematics learning achievement.Keywords: scientific learning, cooperative learning, STAD, Jigsaw, learning achievement

Abstract

Assessment has an important role in the learning process. Assessment is not only used to see the results of students' learning achievements but is also used to improve the learning process. PISA (Program for International Assessment) is a study of international level assessment organized by the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development). Indonesia is one of the participating countries in the PISA study. However, the content of the questions within the PISA framework is still relatively small in the available teaching materials. So educators in Indonesia have begun to make adjustments and conduct research on the development of PISA-type assessments. The purpose of this article is to examine the PISA type of mathematical assessment that has been developed. Then, the potential effects of the problems that have been developed will be seen. This study uses the literature review method by reviewing and reviewing articles on PISA-type mathematical assessments. Article collection was carried out on Google Scholar and Research Gate in the period 2015-2021. Based on the results of the research that has been reviewed, it is known that the potential effects of the developed PISA type of mathematical assessment include problem-solving, mathematical literacy, communication skills, and reasoning abilities.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to know about the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) combined withcooperative learning Jigsaw in terms of mathematical communication skill and student's achievement inmathematics grade 11th Science SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. The research method is quasi experiment which usedone experiment group and one control group. The data were collected through a mathematical communication andstudent's achievement tests, questionnaire for oral communication in mathematics learning, and observation formfor learning activities and student's communication. The results of the study showed that (1) PBL-Jigsaw is notbetter than scientific approach in student's mathematical communication skill, (2) PBL-Jigsaw is not better thanscientific approach in student's achievement, and (3) there was a significant correlation, 0.618, betweenmathematical communication skills and student's achievement.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this study was to know about the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) and learning with scientific approach combined with cooperative learning Jigsaw in terms of mathematical communication skill and student’s achievement in mathematic. The research method is quasi experiment which used pretest posttest group design. The data were collected through a mathematical communication and student’s achievement andobservation form for learning activities. The result of this study showed that PBL-Jigsaw is not effective in mathematical student’s achievement and student’s mathematical communication skill. While, scientific approach-Jigsaw is effective in mathematical student’s achievement and student’s mathematical communication skill. PBL-Jigsaw is not better than scientific approach-Jigsaw in mathematical student’s achievement and student’s mathematical communication skill reviewed by gain score of posttest and pretest students. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian  ini  bertujuan untuk  menghasilkan  bahan  ajar  dengan  pendekatan  berbasis  masalah  padamateri  himpunan  untuk  siswa  SMP  kelas  VII  dan  mengidentifikasi  kualitas  dari  bahan  ajar  yang  telahdikembangkan ditinjau dari aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan.Jenis  penelitian  ini  adalah  penelitian  pengembangan  yang  mengacu  pada  model  pengembanganADDIE, yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Subjek dalam penelitian iniadalah satu dosen ahli materi, satu dosen ahli media, satu guru matematika dan siswa kelas VIIA di SMPTerpadu Ma’arif Muntilan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar penilaian kualitasbahan ajar untuk ahli materi dan ahli media, angket respon guru, serta angket respon siswa.Pengembangan bahan ajar menerapkan tahapan pendekatan berbasis masalah yaitu penyajian masalahdi awal, pengekplorasian masalah, pendiskusian hasil penyelesaian, penarikan kesimpulan serta penyajianhasil penyelesaian.Hasil penilaian kualitas bahan ajar adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Berdasarkan hasil penilaianoleh ahli materi rata-rata total adalah 3,56 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian oleh ahlimedia  diperoleh  rata-rata  total  2,93  dengan  kriteria  baik  sehingga  bahan  ajar  dikategorikan  valid.  (2)Berdasarkan  angket  respon  siswa,  diperoleh rata-rata  total  3,06  dengan  kriteria  baik  sehingga  bahan  ajardikategorikan praktis. (3) Berdasarkan hasil tes siswa diperoleh persentase jumlah ketuntasan siswa adalah90% sehingga bahan ajar dapat dikategorikan efektif.Kata kunci:Pengembangan bahan ajar, Pembelajaran berbasis masalah, HimpunanAbstractThis research is aimed to produce learning material of sets using problem based learning approachfor  7thgrade  junior  high  school  students  and  to  identify  the  quality  of  the  developed  learning  materialbased on validity, practicality, and effectiveness aspects.This  is  research  and  development  type  using  ADDIE  model  i.e.  Analyze,  Design,  Development,Implementation,  and  Evaluation.  The  subjects  of  this  research  are  material  expert,  media  expert,mathematics teacher and students of class VIIA of SMP TerpaduMa’arif Muntilan. The instruments of thisresearch are the learning materials’ quality evaluation sheets for materials and media experts, teacher’sresponse questionnaire and students’ response questionnaire.The  developing  learning  material  applies  problem  based  learning  approach’s  steps  i.e.  presentingproblems at first, exploring the problems, discussing the solution, making conclusion, and presenting thesolution.  The  results  of  learning  material  quality’s  evaluation  are:  (1)  The  evaluation  of  material  expertshows the total score rate is 3.56 with very good criteria. The evaluation of media expert shows the totalscore rate is 2.93 with good criteria. It is concluded that the learning material is valid. (2) The result ofstudents’ response questionnaire shows the total score rate is 3.06 with good criteria. It is concluded thatthe learning material is practical. (3) The result of students’ test shows the percentage of students who passthe test is 90%. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan open-ended dengan kualitas valid, praktis dan efektif berorientasi pada kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Model penelitian ini adalah model ADDIE dengan lima tahap yakni Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di SMP N 1 Pakem. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar penilaian RPP dan LKS untuk menilai kevalidan; angket respon guru, angket respon siswa dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran untuk menilai kepraktisan dan tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif untuk menilai keefektifan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan perangkat dengan kualitas (1) valid, berdasarkan skor penilaian LKS aspek materi 3,56 dan aspek media 4 serta skor penilaian RPP 3,55; (2) praktis dengan penilaian observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 93%, skor penilaian respon guru 4,18 dan skor penilaian respon siswa 4,14; (3) efektif dengan persentase skor 88%. Kata kunci: Perangkat Pembelajaran, Pendekatan Open-ended, Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif, Model ADDIE. ABSTRACT This research is a development research to produce learning tool based on open-ended approach with valid quality, practical and effective oriented to students' creative thinking ability. The model of this research is the ADDIE model with five stages namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subject of this research is the students of grade VII at SMP N 1 Pakem. The instruments used are RPP and LKS assessment sheets to assess validity; Teacher questionnaire responses, student response questionnaires and observation sheets of learning ex- perience to assess practicality and tests of creative thinking skills to assess effectiveness. This research produces device with quality (1) valid, based on LKS assessment score of material aspect 3,56 and media aspect 4 and assessment score of RPP 3,55; (2) practical with 93% observation of learning activity observation, score of teacher response assessment 4.18 and score of student response rating 4.14; (3) effective with the percentage score of 88%. Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan dari dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah: (1) untuk mengetahui apa saja kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah trigonometri dan (2) untuk mengetahui penyebab kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah trigonometri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X jurusan MIPA di SMA di Temanggung. Banyak siswa yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini ada 113 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes tertulis dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk tes tertulis adalah three-tier diagnostic test, sedangkan wawancara hanya dilakukan terhadap sepuluh siswa untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya kesalahan siswa.  Analisis data tes tertulis dilakukan dengan mengklasifikasi jenis-jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa. Sedangkan hasil wawancara direduksi berdasarkan teknik Bogdan Biklen. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut, jenis-jenis kesalahan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal trigonometri adalah misused data (kesalahan pada penggunaan data), misinterpreted language (kesalahan dalam mengartikan bahasa), logically invalid inference (dugaan yang tidak valid secara logis), distorted theorem or definition (kesalahan teorema atau definisi), dan technical mechanical error (kesalahan teknis).  Selain menemukan jenis kesalahan siswa, penelitian ini juga menemukan beberapa penyebab dari terjadinya kesalahan tersebut. Penyebab dari terjadinya kesalahan tersebut diantaranya adalah guru kurang jelas dalam menyampaikan materi, adanya pengaruh dari kondisi psikis siswa, siswa belum memahami operasi hitung dasar, siswa kurang latihan soal yang bervariasi, serta adanya kesulitan dalam meghafalkan rumus.Kata Kunci: Analisis Kesalahan, Trigonometri, Three-Tier Diagnostic Test AbstractThe aims of this study were: (1) to find out what students' mistakes were in solving trigonometric problems and (2) to find out the causes of student errors in solving trigonometric problems. This research is qualitative. The subjects of this study were students of class X majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences at one of senior high school Temanggung. There were 113 students involved in this study. Data collection techniques were carried out through written tests and interviews. The instrumen used for the written test is a three-tier diagnostic test, while interviews were only conducted on ten students to find out the causes of student errors. Analysis of written test data was carried out by classifying the types of errors made by students. Meanwhile, the interview results were reduced based on the Bogdan Biklen technique. Based on this research, the types of student errors in working on trigonometry problems are misused data (errors in data usage), misinterpreted language (errors in the meaning of language), logically invalid inferences (logistically invalid assumptions), distorted theorem or definition (theorem or definition errors), and technical mechanical errors (technical errors). In addition to finding the types of student errors, this study also found several causes for these errors. The causes of these errors include the teacher explaining in delivering the material, the influence of students' psychological conditions, students do not understand basic arithmetic operations, students do not practice various questions, and there are difficulties in memorizing formulas.Keyword: Error Analysis, Trigonometry, Three-Tier Diagnostic Test

Abstract

This  study  aimed to develop mathematics  learning  kits  such  as  lesson  plan  and  student worksheet  by  Problem  Based  learning  approach  in  statistics  competency  for  junior  high  school student  grade  VII, and to  know  the  quality  of  learning  kits  based  on  validity,  practicality,  and effectivity aspects. This study was a developing research address to ADDIE developing model, those are  Analysis,  Design,  Development,  Implementation,  and  Evaluation.The  quality  of  learning  kits validity reached valid criteria, showed by mean of lesson plan validity was 4.11 from maximum score 5 with good qualification (x 4,2)and mean of student worksheet validity was 4.01 from maximum score  5  with good  qualification (x    4,2).The  quality of  learning  kits  practicalityreached  practicalcriteria, showed by mean of student response questionnaire was 3 from maximum score 4 with good qualification(2,8̅≤3,4), teacher  response  questionnairewas  3.01  from  maximum  score  4  with good  qualification (2,8̅≤3,4), and observation  result  of  learning  activity was  95%  with  very good category. Beside that, the quality of learning kits saw from effecticity aspect reached effective criteria.  It  showed by  mean  of  student  study  result test  was  93.5  and  its  percentage  of  students graduationwas 100%. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar materi segiempat dan segitiga kelas VII berupa LKS yang dikembangkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual dan model pembelajaran Active Joyful Effective Learning (AJEL) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE, yang meliputi Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Penelitian ini menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa LKS yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. LKS dinyatakan valid ahli materi memberikan skor 4,2. LKS dinyatakan praktis karena guru memberikan skor rata-rata 3,5 dan siswa memberikan skor rata-rata 3,1 terhadap aspek kepraktisan. Berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis, LKS dan RPP memenuhi kriteria efektif ditunjukkan dengan kenaikan hasil belajar kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 47,2% lebih dari kenaikan hasil belajar pada kelas kontrol dan persentase siswa yang memenuhi KKM pada kelas kontrol sebesar 62,5% dengan persentase observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 93%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata Kunci : lembar kerja siswa, pendekatan kontekstual, AJEL, kemampuan komunikasi matematis
