Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of the effects of conventional tourism and halal tourism on regional original revenue, especially in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province. Design/methodology/approach: This research is a quantitative descriptive research using the ANN (Artificial Neural Network) model. Findings: The results of this study indicate the difference between before becoming halal tourism (conventional) before the NTB governor's regulation, which significantly affects regional original revenue, domestic tourists with a value of 54.68% and foreign tourists with a value of 32.48%, and when it has become halal tourism, which greatly affects foreign tourists, namely (53.52%), and local tourists with a value of 42.91%. As for the USD exchange rate factor against the rupiah, it has no effect on regional original revenue with a value of both 12.82% for conventional tourism and 3.55% for halal tourism. Practical implications: These results are expected to provide input to NTB provincial stakeholders, especially in the field of tourism, to improve and maintain the advantages and uniqueness of halal tourism. Originality/value: Research that compares the effect of tourism before and after becoming halal on regional income is still very rarely done, especially by using the ANN method.

Abstract

New problems have emerged in the agricultural sector related to fertilizer. Fertilizer prices have now increased to twice the previous price. Apart from that, the limited supply of non-subsidized fertilizer is a concern for farmers to continue their farming. Many farmers' land in Palongan Village is starting to be abandoned. The increase in fertilizer prices causes fertilizer to be given at the wrong time, due to the limited capital that farmers have. The impact of this problem is a decrease in tobacco productivity. This can also affect farmer income. The aim of this research is to examine further the impact of increasing fertilizer prices on tobacco productivity and its effect on farmers' income in Palongan Village. Apart from that, to analysis whether there is a difference in the productivity of tobacco farmers before the increase in fertilizer prices and after the increase in fertilizer prices. The method used in this research is the test method paired sample t-test and path analysis. The hypothesis test used is the t-test. Test results paired sample t-test stated that there was a difference in tobacco productivity before and after the increase in fertilizer prices. Test results path analysis stated that the increase in fertilizer prices directly affected tobacco productivity. Meanwhile, indirectly the increase in fertilizer prices through tobacco productivity does not have a significant effect on the income of tobacco farmers.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of character learning in the elementary school in Sampang to find out the lesson profile to be able to give a clear picture of the issues facing so that it can help to give the offer solutions. This study implemented a case study to describe and explain the terms related to the problem of learning the characters in elementary school by exploration on learning activities and learning-related characters, both conducted in the classroom and outside the classroom, where the focus is directed on the conditions of learning and learning strategies characters used in elementary school in Sampang. Its type is an intrinsic case study that is due to the desire of the researcher to understand certain cases in all aspects and specificity of its simplicity, led to the selection of the objects examined, rather than on methodological choice. The purposes of this study were to describe the character of learning profiles in elementary schools in Sampang, consists of: (1) the purpose of learning the characters, (2) the constraints faced in the implementation of learning the characters, (3) the characteristics of the students that there are elementary schools with regard to learning character, (4) learning content organizing strategy character, (5) the character of learning materials delivery strategies, and (6) the character of learning material management strategies. The findings showed character profile learning in primary schools in Sampang, that: (1) learning objectives listed in the "RPP character" administrative only because it has no relevance to the learning process and outcome, (2) generally refers to the creation of the learning objectives 18 characters set curriculum development center, (3) the obstacles faced are personnel and financial constraints (4) in general, there are two characteristics of the students, the quality identified on the basis of socio-economic backgrounds of learners and the community, (5) there is no material learning character so there was no strategi organizing of content (6) delivery of content strategy used was lecture, giving examples of direct and conditioning, (7) use the learning management strategies learning by doing, in which the method of giving examples of dominating at every learning activity, in addition to lecturing and giving the task.

Abstract

In the context of global business dynamics and transparency demands, disclosing biological assets in financial statements becomes crucial for companies to navigate the complexities of evaluating and adapting to international accounting standards. This research aims to analyze the factors influencing the disclosure of biological assets. The research methodology employed is descriptive and verificative, focusing on agricultural companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population comprises annual reports from agricultural companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2018 to 2021, totaling 41 companies multiplied by the years, resulting in 164 data points. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, with a sample size of 27 companies from 2018 to 2021, amounting to 108 observation data points. The data analysis technique involves classical assumption tests, panel data regression, determination coefficient tests, and hypothesis testing using Eviews software. The results indicate that, partially, the intensity of biological assets and managerial ownership significantly positively affect the disclosure of biological assets, while profitability has a significant negative impact on the disclosure of biological assets.. Abstract

Often people limit the work of the Holy Spirit to things related to spiritual gifts. Apart from spectacular things like healing the sick or raising the dead, prophesying about what will happen, speaking in tongues, is not considered the work of the Holy Spirit. This paper describes the work of the Holy Spirit which is realized in four important church activities recorded in Acts 2:42. These four activities are the tasks of the church initiated by the Holy Spirit, namely the teaching of the apostles (didache), communion (koinonia), breaking of bread (diakonia), and praying (proseuche). The current condition of the church demands an active role from its leaders to return to work on these four things so that the church today does not lose its identity as a community of believers who make disciples of all nations of Christ.

Abstract

The rice pest control system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and powered by Solar Power Plants (PLTS) is an innovative solution aimed at enhancing productivity and sustainability in Indonesia's agricultural sector. This community service project, conducted in Wukirsari Village, Kapanewon Cangkringan, Sleman Regency, primarily focuses on addressing pest issues and technological limitations. The designed device integrates ultrasonic sensors and UV light controlled by the ESP32 microcontroller, utilizing PLTS as the energy source. The system can be accessed and controlled remotely via the Blynk server, making monitoring and control more efficient and sustainable. The research methodology includes information gathering, device design, testing, and comprehensive evaluation. Integration with PLTS ensures the system uses environmentally friendly energy. The test results indicate that the device effectively monitors and controls pests while providing ease of management with a responsive modern tool. The device operates in real-time and is highly responsive, supported by solar panels with a capacity of 920W, capable of fully charging the battery in approximately 2.6 hours. This allows the device to operate continuously for 24 hours. The implementation of this technology not only demonstrates reliability in addressing pest issues but also proves that the system can function sustainably, supporting agricultural productivity, and providing significant benefits to farmers in Wukirsari Village.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the forms of Palembang language idioms that are still used by the community and map the forms of community resistance to religious radicalism. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The informants in this research were Palembang speakers in the Seberang Ulu and Seberang Ilir areas who were selected based on predetermined criteria. The research process started from desk-review, field observation, documentation, in-depth interviews and FGD. Data analysis in this research uses data reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The results obtained from the research are that there are 158 Palembang idioms that are still used by the public, and there are 10 idioms that are appropriate for resisting radicalization, namely: (1) Ado gawe, (2) Balak duobelas, (3) Besak kelakar, (4) Katek aguk, (5) Katek antanan, (6) Makan olo'an, (7) Ngeci'ke bala', (8) Pakem tuo, (9) Tempuan tahlil, (10) Wong kito galo. Rejection of destructive-anarchist actions both towards adherents of other religions and those of their own religion. This study illustrates the need for these idioms to be disseminated to the public and taught in schools. Further research needs to be carried out to fully understand how idioms can influence children's thoughts and behavior through experimental studies. Discussion and other limitations will be explained in this paper.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang karakteristik pola pendidikan pada masa Nabi Muhammad Saw dan Khulafa' Ar-Rasyidin, dengan menyoroti metode pengajaran, kurikulum, serta dampaknya terhadap masyarakat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan (library research), yang menggunakan teknik dokumentasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data dan selanjutnya dianalisis secara induktif. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik pola pendidikan pada masa Nabi Muhammad Saw dan Khulafa' Ar-Rasyidin menunjukkan betapa pentingnya pendidikan dalam membentuk peradaban Islam. Metode pengajaran yang bervariasi, kurikulum yang komprehensif, serta peran sentral masjid dan institusi pendidikan formal, semuanya berkontribusi pada perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan moralitas dalam masyarakat. Dampak pendidikan yang diterapkan  pada masa Nabi Muhammad Saw dan Khulafa' Ar-Rasyidin masih terasa hingga saat ini, yang menunjukkan kekuatan dan relevansi pendidikan yang berlandaskan pada nilai-nilai Islam. Kata Kunci: karakteristik pola pendidikan; pendidikan pada masa Nabi Muhammad Saw; pendidikan pada masa Khulafa' Ar-Rasyidin.

Abstract

Implementing project-based learning in the classroom remains a significant challenge for educators. In response, numerous studies have been conducted on the challenges of implementing this method. This study focuses on English transformational teachers' challenges in implementing project-based learning within the Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to identify the challenges English transformational teachers face in implementing project-based learning at the middle and upper education levels in Garut, West Java, Indonesia. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design was used in this research. Data collection was conducted through interviews. The data were analysed using Marx et al.'s theory and the Miles formula, which included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that of the six challenges proposed by Marx et al., three significant challenges faced by English transformational teachers in implementing project-based learning were time management, controlling and supporting student learning, and school facilitation. Despite being English transformational teachers, the findings indicate that integrating project-based learning into the Merdeka Curriculum remains challenging.

Abstract

Despite the fact that women do not experience any direct harm, forest fires have significant and detrimental effects on them whenever necessary. The impact on women is disproportionate, and these fires cause significant disruption to various aspects of life, including social, economic, and health. Consequently, the objective of this investigation is to assess the extent to which women are involved in the management of forest and land fires. This study employed a multifaceted approach to data collection in order to enhance comprehension of the impact and dynamics of The Power of Mama (PoM) program. Secondary social data collection was one of the primary methods employed. This involved the examination of existing records and statistics to provide a comprehensive understanding of the social, demographic, and economic characteristics of the village and its residents. This offered a fundamental comprehension of the community's circumstances prior to the commencement of the PoM program. These findings demonstrate that, as demonstrated by initiatives such as The Power of Mama, women's contributions are substantial in the mitigation of fires. It is essential that governments and organizations collaborate to safeguard and empower women in order to effectively prevent and mitigate forest fires.   Abstrak Meskipun perempuan tidak terpengaruh secara langsung, kebakaran hutan memiliki dampak yang luas dan berbahaya terutama pada mereka. Kebakaran ini menyebabkan banyak gangguan terhadap berbagai aspek kehidupan, seperti sosial, ekonomi, dan kesehatan, dan dampaknya terhadap perempuan sangat tidak proporsional. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keterlibatan perempuan dalam menangani kebakaran hutan dan lahan. Untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang dampak dan dinamika program The Power of Mama (PoM), studi ini menggunakan pendekatan multi-segi dalam pengumpulan data. Salah satu metode utama yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data sosial sekunder; ini melibatkan menganalisis catatan dan statistik yang ada untuk memberikan latar belakang karakteristik sosial, demografis, dan ekonomi desa dan penduduknya. Sebelum program PoM dimulai, ini memberikan pemahaman dasar tentang kondisi masyarakat. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa, seperti yang ditunjukkan oleh program seperti The Power of Mama, keterlibatan perempuan sangat besar dalam mengurangi kebakaran. Sangat penting bagi pemerintah dan organisasi untuk bekerja sama dalam melindungi dan memberdayakan perempuan untuk memitigasi dan mencegah kebakaran hutan secara efektif.
