Abstract

There is currently a severe dearth of evidence-based nursing practice (EBNP) utilization among nurses. Because of this, it's essential to enhance nurses' professional skills through workshops and training. Enhancing nurses' capacity to deliver nursing interventions grounded in Evidence-Based Nursing Practice is the goal of this activity. The EBNP workshop is used to carry out the activity approach. The nurses at Dr. RSUD are participants in this activity, or one of its strategic target audiences. There were thirty persons in Sososdoro Djatikoesoemo Bojonegoro. The information is given through lectures, Q&A sessions, practica, field research, literature reviews, and searches. Results and debate come in third. Prior to training, most people's initial understanding of EBNP was quite inadequate; up to 19 individuals (76%). After participating in training sessions that included talks and worksheets on EBNP, it was discovered that the number of participants who started off with very little understanding had increased by 12 (44%). Three nurses (11%), whose expertise was initially inadequate, improved to good. In summary The asking phase, which involves creating clinical questions, has been accomplished by the nurse. In the first step, known as acquisition, participants seek for the best available data on the subject selected in accordance with the clinical question. In the third step, known as evaluation, participants critically evaluate the data they have found. Still, nurses are unable to perform the subsequent actions, which are Applying, Assessing, and Disseminating. It is advised.

Abstract

Porang rice is made from porang tubers (Amorphopallus oncophyllus) and waxy cassava and has a high glucomannan content and has a low glycemic index (<55). Porang rice has a slightly brownish white color and has a shape like grains of rice and contains fiber which can help the digestive process in the body. Provision of porang rice against diabetic can improve blood profile. This study aims to determine the effect of giving rice from porang tubers pn the blood profile of diabetic mice. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with the treatment of observing blood profiles. The study consisted of 4 treatments with 6 replications. The data obtained was tested for uniformity using the Bartlett test and the additional data was tested with the Tuckey test. Furthermore, the data were anlyzed using variance to obtain an estimator of the varience and determine the effect of the treatment, then the data were analyzed using the BNT test at the 5% level. The results showed that the effect of giving porang rice on the blood profile of alloxan-induced mice gave values for the number of erythrocytes (7,48 million/mm3), leukocytes (5,55 thousand/mm3), hemoglobin (15,14 g/dL), hematocrit (32,28%).

Abstract

Tannin is a major polyphenolic secondary metabolite widely distributed in the forestry sector and can be added to polymer matrices to manufacture bioactive films for food packaging. Tannins have functional properties as antioxidants, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatories. Tannins are classified into two types, namely condensed tannins and hydrolyzable tannins. Tannins have been used primarily in food, wood, leather, pharmaceutical, and other industries. In the food industry, tannins are used to develop food packaging, preservation, and the function of the food industry. Tannin molecules have the advantage of combining with polymers or polymer surfaces, for example, synthetic polymers, biopolymers, and micro- and nano-sized fibers, which will form new products whose physical and chemical properties increase in functional properties because of the presence of hydrophilic and nucleophilic groups. Combining tannins with a polymer can be done by one-step reactive extrusion, layer by layer, dynamic vulcanization, acetylation, and in situ extraction methods. This paper describes general information about tannins, followed by applications using tannins, tannin-based hybrid materials, and methods of combining tannins with a polymer for food packaging purposes. Keywords: active packaging, bioactive film, polymer, secondary metabolite, tannins

Abstract

This research explores how the use of jackfruit mesocarp waste can improve the sensory and chemical aspects of red dragon fruit skin, considering the high pectin and fiber content in jackfruit dami, despite its lack of taste and color. Red dragon fruit is added to compensate for this deficiency. The research used a Completely Randomized Block Design with five comparisons of red dragon fruit and jackfruit dami: 100% : 0%, 75% : 25%, 50% : 50%, 2% : 75%, and 0% : 100%, each tested in five repetitions. The analysis carried out included testing data homogeneity with the Bartlett test, followed by the Tuckey range test, analysis of variance, and the Honest Significant Difference Test (HSD) at a significance level of 5%. This study concluded that the proportion of jackfruit dami significantly influences the sensory (texture, color, aroma, taste, and overall liking) and chemical properties (moisture content, ash content, acidity, vitamin C, and reducing sugars) of the fruit skin. The optimal composition found was a 50:50 mixture of dami jackfruit and red dragon fruit, which produced the desired sensory characteristics (a texture value of 3.87 indicated very elastic, a color value of 3.55 indicated a red color, an aroma value of 3.24 indicated favorable, taste value of 3.11, and overall preference rating of 3.60) and good chemical properties (moisture content 14.09%, ash content 0.88%, pH 4.26, vitamin C content 1.11 mg/g, and reducing sugar content 23.73%).

Abstract

The legal system is a framework of rules governing human behavior in society to ensure justice, order, and welfare. This study examines the legal systems of Indonesia and Yemen, highlighting their differences and similarities and their impact on society and political structures. Indonesia adopts a mixed legal system combining legislation, customary law, and Islamic principles, influenced by cultural pluralism and Dutch colonial heritage. In contrast, Yemen's legal system is predominantly based on Sharia law, with formal courts emphasizing Islamic principles as their primary foundation.Using a normative legal research method with a literature review approach, the study draws data from books, scholarly journals, prior research, and relevant articles. Findings reveal Indonesia's pluralistic approach to law reflects its diverse cultural, religious, and ethnic landscape, while Yemen's system is rooted in Islamic law, reflecting a more uniform legal framework. Despite structural differences, both countries acknowledge the central role of Islamic law in their legal systems. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the legal dynamics in both nations, offering insights for future legal development and enriching the global discourse on legal pluralism.
