Abstract

This study investigates the effects of profitability, leverage, and firm size on corporate tax avoidance among publicly listed food and beverage firms in two comparable emerging economies over a five-year observation period. It contributes to the tax avoidance literature by providing a cross-country, single-industry panel analysis that isolates structural firm attributes from short-term financial indicators within similar regulatory environments. Using purposive sampling and panel data regression with a Random Effect Model, the results reveal that profitability and leverage do not significantly influence tax avoidance, whereas firm size demonstrates a positive and significant association, indicating that larger firms possess greater structural capacity to engage in tax planning strategies. These findings imply that tax authorities should strengthen structural monitoring and regulatory scrutiny of large firms rather than focusing predominantly on financial performance metrics when addressing corporate tax avoidance.

Abstract

Advertising is a dynamic industry, involving indirect communication of product advantages and benefits. Digital marketing is experiencing rapid growth, with 137% of digital marketing reaching 72% of consumers. This research aims to expand understanding in the advertising concentration, specifically regarding the use of User-Generated Content (UGC) to increase sales and product exposure. Using a quantitative approach, data was obtained through a questionnaire from TikTok users interested in skincare products. Validity and reliability tests showed all items were valid and reliable, with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.960. The regression test results show that UGC has a significant influence on consumer purchase intention by 50.6% (R² = 0.506). Partial tests confirmed the significant effect of UGC on the dependent variable, with a t value of 10.021> t table. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of UGC on TikTok in creating visual appeal, increasing audience engagement, and building review credibility. This study contributes to the development of digital-based marketing strategies, particularly in the context of skincare products such as Avoskin, and underscores the importance of user participation in optimizing advertising campaigns in the digital age. Periklanan adalah industri yang dinamis, melibatkan komunikasi tidak langsung mengenai kelebihan dan manfaat produk. Pemasaran digital mengalami pertumbuhan pesat, dengan 137% dari pemasaran digital menjangkau 72% konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperluas pemahaman dalam konsentrasi periklanan, khususnya mengenai penggunaan User-Generated Content (UGC) untuk meningkatkan penjualan dan eksposur produk. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, data diperoleh melalui kuesioner dari pengguna TikTok yang tertarik pada produk skincare. Uji validitas dan reliabilitas menunjukkan semua item valid dan reliabel, dengan nilai Cronbach's Alpha sebesar 0,960. Hasil uji regresi menunjukkan bahwa UGC memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap minat beli konsumen sebesar 50,6% (R² = 0,506). Uji parsial menegaskan pengaruh signifikan UGC terhadap variabel dependen, dengan nilai t hitung 10,021 > t tabel. Penelitian ini menunjukkan efektivitas UGC di TikTok dalam menciptakan daya tarik visual, meningkatkan keterlibatan audiens, dan membangun kredibilitas ulasan. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan strategi pemasaran berbasis digital, khususnya dalam konteks produk skincare seperti Avoskin, dan menggarisbawahi pentingnya partisipasi pengguna dalam mengoptimalkan kampanye iklan di era digital.

Abstract

The Indonesian retail industry is facing significant changes due to digital transformation, which is driving shifts in consumer behaviour and increasing the dominance of e-commerce. PT Matahari Department Store Tbk's Lippo Mall Kramat Jati branch is one of the outlets that has been able to survive amid these challenges. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. This study analyses the effectiveness of message delivery, interaction with consumers, and the use of digital technology. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with management and employees, as well as observation and documentation. The results show that PT Matahari implements a multi-platform digital marketing communication strategy, which includes social media, direct messaging, loyalty programmes, referrals, and an omnichannel approach. This strategy has proven to increase customer engagement, expand brand reach, and maintain consumer loyalty. However, obstacles are still found in the adaptation of human resources to technology and limited training. This study concludes that an integrated, personalised, and data-driven communication strategy is the key to successfully maintaining retail existence in the digital era, as well as the importance of strengthening internal capacity so that strategy implementation runs optimally. Industri ritel Indonesia menghadapi perubahan signifikan akibat transformasi digital yang mendorong pergeseran perilaku konsumen dan meningkatnya dominasi e-commerce. PT Matahari Department Store Tbk cabang Lippo Mall Kramat Jati menjadi salah satu gerai yang mampu bertahan di tengah tantangan ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus. Penelitian ini menganalisis efektivitas penyampaian pesan, interaksi dengan konsumen, serta pemanfaatan teknologi digital. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pihak manajemen dan karyawan, serta observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Matahari mengimplementasikan strategi komunikasi pemasaran digital berbasis multi-platform, yang mencakup media sosial, pesan langsung, program loyalitas, referral, dan pendekatan omnichannel. Strategi ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan engagement pelanggan, memperluas jangkauan merek, dan mempertahankan loyalitas konsumen. Namun, kendala masih ditemukan pada adaptasi sumber daya manusia terhadap teknologi dan keterbatasan pelatihan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa strategi komunikasi yang terintegrasi, personal, dan berbasis data menjadi kunci keberhasilan mempertahankan eksistensi ritel di era digital, serta pentingnya penguatan kapasitas internal agar implementasi strategi berjalan optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of educational content from the TikTok account @sihoodiekuning on the digital literacy of Generation Z students at Tarumanagara University. The TikTok account @sihoodiekuning has garnered four hundred seventy-five thousand followers and millions of likes across its videos. As a popular social media platform among Generation Z, TikTok provides a space for creators like @sihoodiekuning to deliver relevant educational content. With an interactive visual approach, the content offered by this account includes tutorials, practical tips, discussions on social issues, and general knowledge. This account aligns with the needs of Generation Z students for informal learning and enchancing their digital literacy. The study adopts a descriptive quantitative approach with an online survey method. The sample comprises 50 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using sample linear regression with SPSS software. The findings reveal a significant positive influence on students’ abilities to evaluate information, digital creativity, and communication skills. Educational content in the form of tutorials and practical tips was found to be the most effective in enchancing the digital literacy of Generation Z students. This research highlights the potential of TikTok as a relevant informal learning medium to support the digital literacy of younger generations. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh konten edukatif dari akun TikTok @sihoodiekuning terhadap literasi digital mahasiswa Generasi Z Universitas Tarumanagara. Akun TikTok @sihoodiekuning memiliki jumlah pengikut yang mencapai empat ratus tujuh puluh lima ribu dengan jutaan likes pada berbagai videonya. TikTok sebagai platform media sosial yang popular di kalangan Generasi Z memberikan ruang bagi kreator seperti @sihoodiekuning untuk menyampaikan konten edukatif yang relevan. Dengan pendekatan visual yang interaktif, konten-konten yang disajikan oleh akun ini meliputi tutorial, tips praktis, diskusi isu sosial, hingga pengetahuan umum. Akun ini relevan dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa Generasi Z untuk belajar secara informal dan mengembangkan literasi digital yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei online. Sampel terdiri dari 50 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner online dan dianalis dengan regresi linear sederhana memakai perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kemampuan mengevaluasi informasi, kreativitas digital, dan keterampilan komunikasi mahasiswa. Konten edukatif yang berbentuk tutorial dan tips dianggap paling efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi digital mahasiswa Generasi Z. Penelitian ini mengungkap potensi TikTok sebagai media pembelajaran informal yang relevan dalam mendukung literasi digital generasi muda.

Abstract

Music is not merely a companion to fill the silence, and clothing is not merely protection for the body. Both have merged into a silent language that tells the story of who they really are. This study stems from an interesting phenomenon on campus, where the diversity of music genres—from energetic hip-hop beats, stylish K-pop aesthetics, to poetic indie melodies—seems to be in harmony with the clothing styles of their listeners. This study aims to trace the relationship: to what extent does the music listened to influence students' decisions in choosing their clothing style? This study views students as active individuals who consciously choose music to fulfil their inner needs. This satisfaction is then expressed through artifactual communication, making clothing a ‘stage’ for self-presentation. Using a quantitative approach, this study voices the opinions of 100 Tarumanagara University students who participated as respondents. The collected data was then statistically processed to identify patterns of cause and effect. The results of this study tell a powerful story: there is a clear and significant influence between the genre of music listened to and students' clothing styles. The findings show that 50.1% of the variation in students' clothing styles is shaped by their musical tastes. This confirms that for Tarumanagara University students, music is an integral part of their identity. What enters their ears is visualised through what they wear, making music one of the main determinants in expressing their identity in social spaces. Musik bukan sekadar teman pengisi kesunyian, dan pakaian bukan hanya sekadar pelindung tubuh. Keduanya telah melebur menjadi bahasa diam yang menceritakan siapa mereka sebenarnya. Penelitian ini berangkat dari fenomena menarik di lingkungan kampus, di mana keragaman genre musik—mulai dari beats Hip-Hop yang energik, estetika K-Pop yang stylish, hingga alunan Indie yang puitis tampak selaras dengan gaya berpakaian yang dikenakan oleh para pendengarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri jejak hubungan tersebut: seberapa besar musik yang didengar mampu memengaruhi keputusan mahasiswa dalam memilih gaya berpakaian mereka? Penelitian ini memandang mahasiswa sebagai individu aktif yang sadar memilih musik untuk memenuhi kebutuhan batinnya. Kepuasan inilah yang kemudian terpancar keluar melalui komunikasi artifaktual, menjadikan pakaian sebagai "panggung" presentasi diri. Melalui pendekatan kuantitatif, penelitian ini menyuarakan pendapat dari 100 mahasiswa Universitas Tarumanagara yang menjadi responden. Data yang terkumpul kemudian diolah secara statistik untuk melihat pola hubungan sebab-akibat yang terjadi. Hasil penelitian ini membawa sebuah cerita yang kuat: terdapat pengaruh yang nyata dan signifikan antara genre musik yang didengar terhadap gaya berpakaian mahasiswa. Temuan data menunjukkan bahwa sebesar 50,1% variasi gaya berpakaian mahasiswa dibentuk oleh selera musik mereka. Hal ini menegaskan bahwa bagi mahasiswa Universitas Tarumanagara, musik adalah bagian tak terpisahkan dari identitas diri. Apa yang masuk ke telinga mereka, tervisualisasi melalui apa yang mereka kenakan, menjadikan musik sebagai salah satu penentu utama dalam mengekspresikan jati diri di ruang sosial.

Abstract

This study analyzes the success of women's initial interactions on the Bumble dating app amid advancements in information and communication technology that are transforming digital interpersonal communication, particularly through the unique "women first move" feature, which empowers women as conversation initiators. This phenomenon is relevant in Indonesia, where the rapid growth of dating app users among urban youth means the initial stage determines relationship continuation through factors such as shared interests, communication activity, and a sense of security. The research aims to analyze women's initial communication strategies on Bumble and identify success determinants, including activity, consistency, comfort, and barriers. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, with in-depth interviews of active female users, male supporters, and communication experts, the data were analyzed through source triangulation and member checking to ensure validity. Findings reveal strategies dominated by authentic self-presentation via natural profiles, simple opening messages, consistent communication rhythms; the control feature enhances security and selectivity; success is influenced by two-way communication activity, shared interests, balanced comfort, while barriers like symbol misinterpretation are adaptively overcome, contributing to gender- sensitive digital communication in Indonesia. Penelitian ini menganalisis keberhasilan interaksi awal perempuan di aplikasi kencan Bumble di tengah perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang mengubah pola komunikasi interpersonal digital, khususnya melalui fitur unik "women first move" yang memberdayakan perempuan sebagai inisiator percakapan. Fenomena ini relevan di Indonesia dengan pertumbuhan pengguna dating apps di kalangan generasi muda urban, di mana tahap awal menentukan kelanjutan hubungan melalui faktor kesamaan minat, keaktifan komunikasi, dan rasa aman. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis pola strategi komunikasi awal perempuan di Bumble serta mengidentifikasi faktor penentu keberhasilan seperti keaktifan, konsistensi, kenyamanan, dan hambatan. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap informan perempuan pengguna aktif, laki-laki pendukung, dan ahli komunikasi, data dianalisis melalui triangulasi sumber dan member check untuk validitas. Hasil menunjukkan strategi didominasi pengelolaan citra autentik melalui profil natural, pesan pembuka sederhana, ritme komunikasi konsisten; fitur kontrol meningkatkan rasa aman dan selektivitas; keberhasilan dipengaruhi keaktifan komunikasi dua arah, kesamaan minat, kenyamanan seimbang, sementara hambatan misinterpretasi simbol diatasi adaptif, berkontribusi pada komunikasi digital gender-sensitive di Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan terhadap peningkatan daya tahan fisik siswa dalam permainan sepak bola di SDN 4 Dawuhan. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest design group. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 30 siswa kelas V, yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen mengikut penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan circuit training terhadap peningkatan daya tahan fisik siswa dalam permainan sepak bola. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain eksperimen semu dengan pendekatan pretest posttest design. Sampel terdiri dari 30 siswa kelas V yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen (latihan selama 6 minggu, 3 kali per minggu) dan kelompok kontrol (latihan konvensional). Instrumen pengukuran daya tahan fisik menggunakan Multistage Fitness Test untuk memperoleh nilai VO₂max. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji paired sample t-test dan independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan VO₂max dari rata-rata 29,98 ml/kg/menit menjadi 34,77 ml/kg/menit. Uji statistik menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna antara kedua kelompok dengan nilai p < 0,05. Latihan circuit training secara signifikan meningkatkan daya tahan fisik siswa dalam permainan sepak bola di SDN 4 Dawuhan. Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of training on improving students’ physical endurance in soccer at SDN 4 Dawuhan. The method used was an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study subjects consisted of 30 fifth-grade students, divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group participated in a 6-week training program three times a week, while the control group participated in conventional physical education classes. The Multistage Fitness Test (MFT) was used to measure physical endurance. The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in physical endurance in the experimental group compared to the control group. Training proved effective in improving aerobic capacity and soccer endurance. Thus, this approach can serve as a practical and efficient alternative training method to improve the physical fitness of elementary school students, particularly in the context of soccer instruction

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the effective tax rate and cash flow on stock prices. The study was conducted on food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2020-2024 period. This study used a purposive sampling method and statistical analysis, including classical assumption tests, using IBM SPSS Statistics version 22. The sample size for 21 food and beverage companies listed on the IDX was 21. Therefore, the total number of 21 companies multiplied by 5 years resulted in 105 observations. The results of this study indicate that: The effective tax rate has no effect on stock prices with a significant value of 0.318. Cash flow has an effect on stock prices with a significant value of 0.046. The effective tax rate and cash flow simultaneously influence profitability with a significance value of 0.00

Abstract

TikTok is one of the most popular social media platforms and has become an effective medium for sharing information, including educational content. Malaka Project, an Indonesia-based organization, utilizes TikTok to deliver education focused on social, cultural, and critical thinking issues targeted at Generation Z. This study aims to analyze the influence of Malaka Project's content on the critical thinking abilities of Generation Z in Jakarta. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents from Generation Z. The results show that Malaka Project's educational content positively impacts the development of critical thinking skills in Generation Z. Simple narratives and engaging visuals are key elements of Malaka Project's content success. However, this study also identifies the need to enhance the interactive aspects of the content to improve audience understanding. This research highlights TikTok's potential as an innovative educational platform and provides recommendations for increasing the impact of educational content, particularly in supporting Generation Z to think critically in filtering and analyzing information in an increasingly complex digital era. TikTok merupakan salah satu platform media sosial yang paling populer dan telah menjadi wadah efektif untuk berbagi informasi, termasuk konten edukatif. Malaka Project, sebuah organisasi berbasis di Indonesia, menggunakan TikTok untuk menyampaikan edukasi berbasis isu sosial, budaya, dan pemikiran kritis yang ditujukan kepada Generasi Z. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh konten Malaka Project terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis Generasi Z di Jakarta. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada responden dari kelompok Generasi Z. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konten edukatif Malaka Project memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis Generasi Z. Narasi yang sederhana dan visual yang menarik menjadi elemen kunci keberhasilan konten dari Malaka Project. Namun, penelitian ini juga menemukan perlunya pengembangan aspek interaktif dalam konten untuk meningkatkan pemahaman audiens. Penelitian ini menyoroti potensi TikTok sebagai platform edukasi yang inovatif dan memberikan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan dampak konten edukatif, khususnya dalam mendukung Generasi Z untuk lebih kritis dalam menyaring dan menganalisis informasi di era digital yang semakin kompleks.
