Abstract

The rate of HIV transmission from mother to baby is still very high in the world, even in Indonesia. Antiretroviral (ARV) use is the most effective treatment for preventing HIV transmission from mother to baby. However, there are many factors that make pregnant women disobedient in treatment, one of the factors is the lack of support and motivation. The method used in this study was a literature study to find out whether support and motivation had a major impact on maternal adherence in taking ARVs. The results obtained were that motivation and support from the family, especially the husband, greatly influenced the mother's adherence to using ARVs, so that support and motivation played a very important role in preventing HIV transmission from mother to child (PPIA).

Some areas in Indonesia are still endemic areas for malaria, including Papua, Maluku, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, Kalimantan and the island of Sumatra such as Bengkulu and Riau. Malaria is still a major cause of morbidity and mortality in Indonesia. Based on data from the total number of malaria cases in 2019, there were 250,644 cases, and the highest case of around 86% occurred in Papua with a total of 216,380 cases occurring. Malaria is an infectious disease caused by the Plasmodium parasite contained in the female Anopheles mosquito. The Anopheles mosquito can spread because it is influenced by several factors, namely the environment, knowledge and attitude factors, behavioral factors and others. The purpose of this study was to analyze the risk factors for malaria and its prevention measures in Indonesia. The method used is a literature review, by searching for reference literature using Google Scholar, and Research Gate. Literature articles used in the last five years (2017-2022). The results of this study indicate that the dominant risk factors for malaria transmission are the use of mosquito nets, the use of mosquito repellent, the habit of being outside the house at night, and malaria prevention measures.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the occurrence of stunting Stunting is a problem in child development. Factors causing stunting were based on the most influencing factors, namely: family income, exclusive breastfeeding, the work of the toddler's father, the nutritional knowledge of the toddler's mother, and the baby's birth weight. This research method is a kind of literature survey study from various international and national journals, which tries to summarize the current understanding of the topic. Stunting inhibits children's optimal growth and development and can make them more susceptible to infection. Many factors can influence the occurrence of stunting in early childhood, including maternal factors, small child factors, and environmental factors. Based on the results of the analysis, the prevalence of stunting in children under 5 years (toddlers) in Indonesia in 2015 was 36.4%. This means that more than a third of children under the age of five or about 8.8 million experience nutritional problems if their height is below normal.

Abstract

Avian influenza is an influenza disease that is transmitted from birds, can transmit to humans and then can also be transmitted between humans, so that it can cause epidemics. Avian influenza is caused by a myxovirus virus that belongs to the Orthomyxoviridae family. This disease can be treated with antivirals and various other complementary drugs. These variations were then compared with a systematic literature review method to see which treatment had the best effect on treating avian influenza. The sample used in the research was taken from the population or individuals (case study). Results: most patients were treated with oseltamivir, some were given other antivirals and other additional treatments. Conclusion: treatment using the antiviral oseltamivir given ≤ 2 days after the onset of symptoms showed better treatment effectiveness than using other antivirals and corticosteroids.

Abstract

People with mental disorders being involved in the 2024 election is an interesting topic of discussion. In this context, there are many pros and cons. The question arises as to whether those with mental disorders have the right to vote. This is interesting to research and review. This article aims to analyze the right to vote for people with mental disabilities in the 2024 elections. Apart from that, this research also analyzes the Constitutional Court decision Number 135/PUU-XIII/2015. This research departs from a normative study with a statute approach. This approach is used to view and analyze legal aspects related to the problems in this research. This article argues that the legal regulation of the right to vote in elections for disabled people with mental disorders is regulated in Article 4 paragraph (2) letter b and Article 4 paragraph (3) General Election Commission Regulation (PKPU) Number 11 of 2018 concerning the Compilation of the Domestic Voter List. The General Election Organizers were then revised with PKPU 37 of 2018, which deleted the provisions of Article 4 paragraph (2) letter b and Article 4 paragraph 3 in order to comply with the decision of the Constitutional Court. People with persistent mental or memory disorders do not have the right to vote in elections.
