Abstract

Background: avocado oil contains vitamins A, D, E and lecithin. This content is efficacious to moisturise and regenerate the skin, and it is a natural sunscreen that protects the skin from UV rays. The flavonoid content in celery can neutralise free radicals and prevent premature aging. Then, this plant can be processed and used as a cosmetic preparation in the form of lotion. Polyherbs are cosmetic products that contain one or more herbal substances. This study aimed to determine whether avocado oil (Apium graveolens L) and celery (Persea americana) in polyherbal lotion preparation extracts can provide skin moisture. Methods: the method used is experimental by making celery extraction by maceration using 96% ethanol solvent and concentrated with a rotary evaporator and avocado oil as a combination lotion preparation of 1.5%, 2%, 2.5% and 3% concentrations. As blanks used lotion base. Tests on lotion preparations include homogeneity tests, pH measurements, determination of emulsion type, stability, irritation to volunteers, liking/hedonics, moisture effectiveness compared with existing preparations, using the Skin Analyzer Detector tool, and antioxidant activity tests. Result: the results of the study showed that all lotion preparations were homogeneous, had a pH of 6.2-5.9, emulsion type M/A and were stable during storage of 4 weeks. Lotion preparations of avocado oil and celery extract with a concentration of 3% can provide the best moisturising effect on the skin after 4 weeks. All polyherbal lotion preparations of avocado oil and celery extract do not irritate the skin; celery ethanol extract and avocado oil have antioxidant activity in the "medium" category with an IC50 value of 143 ppm. Polyherbal lotion preparations with a concentration of 3% show effectiveness as the best moisturiser.

Abstract

Background; The skin is the outermost layer of the body that serves as a protective barrier against exposure to sunlight and is also where sweat is produced. Sweat can make the skin appear dull and sticky. Soap is a cosmetic product that is used for body cleansing. Annatto and red mold rice are used as natural colorants formulated in soap preparations, where the color produced by annatto and red mold rice is not stable. Therefore, a copigmentation method is needed to stabilize the colorant annatto with red mold rice. Method; This research use an experimental approach that initially involves the extraction of annatto seeds and red mold rice using 96% ethanol. Subsequently, the extracted compounds are formulated into soap preparations with variations in ratios of 1:1, 1:2, 2:1, and 2:2. To evaluate the quality of the soap preparations, various tests have been conducted, including homogeneity testing, pH testing, foam height testing, water content testing, and irritation testing. Result; The results showed that the copigmentation of annatto seeds with red mold rice in the form of ethanol extract could be formulated into a soap dosage form at a ratio of 2:1 (F4) is the best preparation, is a homogeneous preparation, has a pH of 9.4 , has a foam height of 8.3 cm, has a water content of 6.25%. All copigmented soap with ethanol extract of annatto seeds with red mold rice does not irritate the skin of the hands.

Abstract

Universal Health Coverage (UHC) is one of the government's targets in public health services to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The UHC is a crucial and urgent resolution for all nations to expand health systems with equal access and affordable costs. The program is one of the efforts to lower the maternal and infant mortality rate. As a healthcare provider, public health centers must ensure optimal care and services. Public health centers realize that providing health care refers to the core health efforts program. This research aims to analyze maternal and child health insurance use in maternity services in Public health centers. The analysis uses the study methodology of the literature review library with search engines used in literature searches such as Google Scholar and PubMed with the keywords Birth Assurance, Public Health Centers, Sustainable Development Goals, and Universal Health Coverage. The survey results show that the use of maternity guarantees for the population in Public health centers in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, responsiveness, uniformity, and accuracy still needs to be better achieved. The research identifies differences between people's expectations of quality of health care and the realities experienced, focusing on the various dimensions that make up quality of service. These dimensions include reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangible. The conclusion of this study suggests that services in Public health centers should be continuously improved through capacity improvements, improvements or renovations of infrastructure and systems, as well as some programs with preventive, promotional, and empowerment of the public to UHC.

Abstract

Hair dye is a cosmetic product used to restore or alter hair colour. Research on herbal-based hair dyes has expanded with the growing interest in natural ingredients. The bark of the jamblang tree (Syzygium cumini L.), which produces a black pigment, has long been utilised in various crafts. This potential makes it a candidate for natural hair dye. This study examines the use of ethanol extract from jamblang bark in the formulation of herbal hair dye and its effectiveness in producing a black colour. The research aims to investigate the utilization of ethanol extract from jamblang bark (Syzygium cumini L.) as an herbal hair dye. The focus is on evaluating the extract's effectiveness in a formulation with pyrogallol, copper (II) sulfate, and xanthan gum, as well as determining the optimal concentration to achieve black hair colour. The method for preparing the hair dye formulation involved the use of ethanol extract from jamblang bark in varying concentrations of 5%, 7.5%, 9.5%, and 11.5%, with the addition of 2% each of pyrogallol, copper (II) sulfate, and xanthan gum. Distilled water was used as the solvent. The dyeing process was conducted by immersing 200 strands of grey hair in preparation for 4 hours, followed by visual observation of colour changes. Colour stability was tested through 15 wash cycles and exposure to sunlight for 5 hours. An irritation test was also conducted on volunteers to evaluate the safety of the hair dye preparation. The study's results indicate that increasing the concentration of ethanol extract from jamblang bark affects the effectiveness of hair dyeing. The optimal formulation was achieved at a 7.5% extract concentration with the addition of 2% pyrogallol, 2% copper (II) sulfate, and 2% xanthan gum, which resulted in black colour. Stability tests showed that the colour remained unchanged after 15 wash cycles and 5 hours of sunlight exposure. Furthermore, the irritation test on volunteers demonstrated that the preparation did not cause skin irritation reactions. Thus, the ethanol extract of jamblang bark has the potential to serve as a safe natural hair dye, offering good colour stability and effectiveness in darkening grey hair.

Abstract

Abstract: Griseofulvin is an active pharmaceutical ingredient in Biopharmaceutic Classification Systems Class II and the price of the dosage form from commercial brands four times higher than the generic.  A comparative study on physical properties and dissolution profiles between generic and commercial brands of griseofulvin tablets has been conducted to assess whether there is difference between their qualities. The pharmaceutical properties were assessed based on the Indonesian and the United State Pharmacopeias. Results showed that the tablets fulfilled the requirements for size uniformity, weight uniformity (0.5995± 0.0075) gram - (0.6989±0.0080) gram, friability 0.08-1.10 %, hardness (10±0.7746) - (19.6±0.9165) kg/cm2, disintegration time 07.12 - 17.17 minutes with drug content of 94.20 - 99.67%. The commercial brand griseofulvin tablets A1& A2 and generic B1 met the official specification for physical characteristics. Results of dissolution test for commercial brand A1 & A2 and generic B1 showed that griseofulvin had T60min (Q ≤ 70%) and the dissolution test profiles did not follow neither first order, Higuchi, Korsmeyer Peppas, nor Langenbucher kinetic models (r < 0,95). The dissolution test for griseofulvin tablet A1 met the USP specification, T90min (Q ≥ 75%) with the release mechanism follow Langenbucher kinetic model. Abstrak: Griseofulvin merupakan zat aktif golongan Sistem Klasifikasi Biofarmasetik kelas II dengan perbedaan harga antara tablet merek dagang lebih mahal hingga empat kalinya dibandingkan tablet generik. Uji disolusi terbanding dilakukan untuk melihat adakah perbedaan mutu yang signifikan antar tablet tersebut. Metode evaluasi mutu dilakukan sesuai dengan ketentuan Farmakope Indonesia dan USP. Hasil evaluasi mutu fisik tablet meliputi keseragaman ukuran, keseragaman bobot yaitu (0,5995± 0,0075) – (0,6989±0,0080) gram, kerapuhan 0,08 - 1,10%, kekerasan (10±0,7746) - (19,6±0,9165) kg/cm2, & waktu hancur  07.12 - 17.17 menit dan penetapan kadar  94,20 - 99,67%, memenuhi ketentuan Farmakope Indonesia. Profil disolusi tidak mengikuti model kinetika orde satu, Higuchi, Korsmeyer Peppas, ataupun Langenbucher (r < 0,95). Hasil uji disolusi tablet A1 yang dilakukan berdasarkan  USP memenuhi persyaratan T90 min  (Q ≥ 75%) dan memiliki profil disolusi mengikuti  persamaan Langenbucher (r>0,95). Abstract

ABSTRAK Olahraga sering dikaitkan dengan peningkatan derajat dan fungsi kesehatan. Hoki merupakan olahraga dengan intensitas tinggi yang dipercaya dapat meningkatkan fungsi paru. Selama ini belum ada data terkait gambaran fungsi paru pada Atlet Hoki di Jawa Barat. Pengukuran Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEFR) menggunakan Peak Flow Meter (PFM) bisa dijadikan metode penilaian kualitas dan fungsi paru. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fungsi paru Atlet Hoki Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode pemeriksaan langsung menggunakan alat antropometri seperti timbangan berat badan digital, pita ukur, tensi meter, termometer, dan Peak Flow Meter (PFM). Hasil dari pemeriksaan menunjukan bahwa PEFR dari 31 atlet hoki dari Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Kampus Bandung, adalah 477,09 ± 114,22 dengan nilai PEFR laki - laki yang berjumlah 538,67 ±123,01 dan nilai PEFR perempuan yang berjumlah 419,38 ± 203,04. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari pemeriksaan ini adalah nilai PEFR altet hoki berada diatas rata-rata orang normal. PEFR laki - laki lebih tinggi dari nilai PEFR perempuan. Saran pemeriksaan fungsi paru rutin diperlukan untuk memantau dan mendeteksi kesehatan paru sedini mungkin. Kata Kunci : PEFR, Atlet Hoki, Fungsi Paru , Antropometri ABSTRACT Respiratory diseases continue to be a burden on Indonesian society, including adolescents and adults. Related diseases include asthma, COPD, and ARI.To prevent diseases from becoming more lethal, quality monitoring of the lungs should be done. The Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEFR) can be used to measure the quality of the lungs. With regular monitoring, lung disease can be detected early so that treatment can be carried out as quickly as possible. This dedication is intended to describe the lung function of 31 Hockey Athletes of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung The dedication was held by applying Anthropometry measurement using anthropometric instruments such as digital weight scales, measuring tapes, voltage metres, thermometers, and peak flow metres. (PFM). The results of the examination showed that the PEFR of 31 hockey athletes from the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung, was 477,09 ± 114,22 with a male score of 538,67 ± 123,01 and a female score of 419,38 ± 203,04. This is due to the difference in lung volume and lung physiological function. In addition, differences in the Body Mass Index (BMI), physical activity, race, place of residence, and age also affect a person's PEFR. Abstract

A biosimilar is a biological product that is similar to the original reference product in terms of safety, purity, efficacy, with no clinically significant differences. Breast cancer is a dangerous disease that still claims the lives of many women in the world, which requires effective treatment to improve patient prognosis. With biosimilar treatment alternatives, it is important to evaluate their safety and effectiveness. This makes biosimilars convenient for patients who lack the high cost of cancer treatment. The analysis showed that the biosimilar drugs trastuzumab and pertuzumab had consistent performance and comparable efficacy to the reference drugs. The purpose of this article is to provide insight into the comparison of safety and effectiveness of trastuzumab and pertuzumab biosimilars against HER2-positive breast cancer with the reference product. The method used is a qualitative method by analyzing 10 articles that meet the eligibility of 1,405 literature found in PubMed. The conclusion of this literature review is that biosimilar pertuzumab and trastuzumab have good safety and effectiveness and are similar to their reference patent products. Although it has side effects such as nausea, thrombocytopenia, diarrhea and anemia. Which if combined with other drugs can add to the survival of patients and have an effect.

Abstract

The widespread diabetes epidemic throughout the world has the potential to have a devastating impact on the development of health systems and economies in developing countries, both in terms of direct health care costs as well as lost work time and disability. This study aims to investigate and compare the weight loss effects between the use of insulin dulaglutide and recombinant insulin glargine in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The method for writing this article is to use the literature review method. The results of a critical analysis of scientific literature over the last ten years (2014 – 2024) strengthen understanding of the differences in clinical efficacy of these two types of insulin. Through a synthesis of empirical evidence, this review presents a comprehensive picture of the ability of each insulin to treat weight loss. Conclusion: Dulaglutide insulin is proven to be more effective for weight loss compared to recombinant insulin Glargine, however dulaglutide insulin has higher gastrointestinal side effects compared to insulin glargine. It is recommended to try to dig up information about similar cases, so that it is hoped that therapy for patients suffering from diabetes can be given maximum treatment.

Abstract

Pemalsuan dalam citra digital seringkali terjadi di era teknologi saat ini. Bantuan software pengolahan citra memudahkan dan mempercepat proses manipulasi, mendorong orang untuk melakukan perubahan sebelum citra dipublikasikan di internet atau media sosial. Meski kegiatan ini umum dilakukan, seringkali merugikan orang lain dan merupakan bentuk penipuan publik terhadap keaslian citra. Salah satu metode manipulasi yang kerap kali digunakan adalah splicing, splicing adalah menambah objek dalam citra, contohnya meletakkan suatu objek pada citra target yang seolah-olah objek tersebut berada disana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi manipulasi jenis splicing dengan menggunakan metode Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) dan Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT). Metode DCT mentransformasikan blok piksel citra menjadi koefisien, sedangkan SIFT digunakan untuk menemukan frekuensi pada citra grayscale dengan mendeteksi keypoint yang sama. Metode ini mampu mendeteksi objek citra yang dimanipulasi dengan baik dan akurat. Dari hasil pengujian yang dilakukan, nilai akurasi deteksi image splicing pada citra dari internet dan koleksi citra hasil koleksi pribadi mencapai 100%. Harapannya, hasil penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat dalam membedakan citra yang asli dengan yang sudah dimanipulasi melalui teknik splicing.

Abstract

Desa Seulemak merupakan salah satu desa di kecamatan serbajadi yang berjarak 129 KM dari Universitas Samudra dan merupakan wilayah terisolir. Proses pemupukan masih menggunakan cara tradisional dengan cara menyentuh langsung pupuk yang akan ditebar pada setiap tanaman pertanian. Hal tersebut sangat beresiko terhadap kesehatan petani yaitu terjadinya iritasi kulit yang disebabkan oleh zat kimia pupuk dan permasalahan kesehatan lainnya. Kualitas SDM, tingkat wawasan dan pengetahuan yang rendah berdampak pada rendahnya kreatifitas dan inovasi kelompok tani untuk mendesain serta menciptakan sebuah teknologi pertanian yang memudahkan proses produksi jagung. Luaran dari kegiatan Pengabdian ini adalah teknologi tepat guna (TTG) berupa alat Fertilizer Sower Stick yang mampu diciptakan secara mandiri oleh petani. Diharapkan melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna, maka akan meningkatkan efisiensi proses pemupukan, meningkatnya hasil produksi, hingga pada akhirnya meningkatkan kesejahteraan kelompok tani musara pakat ini
