Abstract

The local potential empowerment program through corn cracker innovation aims to improve the welfare of the community in Kampung Tengah Village, Kuala Batee District, Southwest Aceh Regency. By utilizing the abundant corn harvest, this program teaches production, packaging, and digital marketing skills to the community, especially housewives and MSME players. The methods used include participatory training, technical assistance, and the formation of joint business groups to ensure program sustainability. The program results show an increase in corn cracker production from 20 packs per day to 50 packs per day, as well as an increase in income from IDR 100,000 to IDR 250,000 per day. In addition to the economic impact, the program also strengthens social togetherness through cooperation in a joint business group. Diversification of corn crackers with different flavors and sizes has expanded the market reach outside the district. Constraints faced include product quality consistency and raw material supply chain stability, which can be overcome through collaboration with the government and related institutions. Program sustainability is ensured through the establishment of an integrated marketing network and community capacity building in business management. This corn cracker innovation is expected to become a sustainable model of local economic empowerment and can be replicated in other areas with similar agricultural potential.

Abstract

Manokwari Regency and South Manokwari Regency are two regencies located in West Papua Province which are quite reliable for having tourism and economic potential. Based on data from the population census of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for South Manokwari Regency in 2021, the population of South Manokwari Regency is 35,949 people. Along with increasing population growth and an increase in the economy, the number of trips made by individuals is increasing. Therefore, improving Regency public transport services is absolutely necessary both in terms of time, distance traveled, availability of transportation and service patterns, the level of comfort of public transport itself. This research begins by making observations and collecting data in the field such as:load factor, headway, travel speed, availability, waiting time, service time, frequency, and travel time. The results of the analysis of the performance of public transport on the Manokwari - South Manokwari route, on Mini Bus type public transport are based onload factor an average of 88%,headway an average of 65 minutes, an average travel speed of 41 km/hour,availability average 48%, average waiting time 33 minutes, travel time 2 minutes/km,frequency, an average of 1 vehicle/hour, and an average service time of 13 hours/day. The results of the total performance weight value of the Mini Bus type public transport service obtained only 14 (fourteen) included in the medium category.

Abstract

Background: Children with Intellectual Disability experience limitations in cognitive and language abilities, including vocabulary mastery. The drill method, which emphasizes structured repetition, is considered effective for improving memory retention and vocabulary acquisition. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of the drill method on improving vocabulary mastery in children with Intellectual Disability in Klaten Regency. Method: The study used a quantitative approach with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 15 children with Intellectual Disability aged 7-12 years selected through purposive sampling. The instrument used was the Expressive One-Word Picture Vocabulary Test (EOWPVT). The drill method intervention was conducted in 10 sessions, each lasting 45 minutes, using flashcard media. Results: The Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Test showed an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0,001 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant improvement in vocabulary mastery after the intervention. The mean pretest score of 60,60 increased to 72.33 in the posttest. Conclusion: The drill method has significant effect on improving vocabulary mastery in children with Intellectual Disability in Klaten Regency.

Abstract

The Process of developing a multilingual (Indonesian, Arabic, and English) three-dimensional (3D) animated learning media to introduce the  body parts to early childhood at RA Baitus Syakur ( Kinder Garten ). The Media development was motivated by the lack of innovation in conventional two-dimensional learning media, which has resulted in the inability to optimally foster children's motivation and attention to learning. This study used a Research and Development (R&D) method with a simplified Borg and Gall model, encompassing the stages of needs analysis, product design, media creation, expert validation, revision, and limited and field trials. The field trial with 32 students showed significant improvements in body part recognition (20%), Indonesian vocabulary mastery (15%), and Arabic and English mastery (25%). Teacher and student responses also indicated a high level of satisfaction and enthusiasm for the developed media. This trilingual 3D animated learning media has proven feasible and effective in increasing learning of motivation, language skills  and The understanding of human body concept interactively and enjoyable way for early childhood

Abstract

Background: Hearing loss in children is one of the main causes of delayed language development, which affects cognitive, social, and academic domains. Early interventions such as hearing aids (HA), cochlear implants (CI), and speech therapy have been developed to minimize these impacts. Objectives: This study aims to review the effectiveness of early intervention on language development in children with hearing loss using a systematic review approach. Methods: Literature searches were conducted through PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, CINAHL, and Google Scholar databases, with inclusion criteria focusing on children aged 0–6 years who received intervention before six months of age. Results: Seven studies met the eligibility criteria and were included in the synthesis. The results indicate that children who received intervention before six months demonstrated significantly better receptive and expressive language outcomes compared to those who were treated later. Factors such as family involvement, consistent device use, and the application of auditory-verbal therapy contributed substantially to successful intervention outcomes. Conversely, delayed diagnosis and limited service accessibility remain major barriers in developing countries. Conclusion: early intervention is proven effective in enhancing language development among children with hearing loss; therefore, early screening and timely therapy should be prioritized within pediatric healthcare services. Abstract

Background: Child development is a form of continuous and natural stages, therefore each aspect that is developed influences each other. One aspect of development that greatly influences children is language development, both receptively (understanding) and expressively (expression). One of the factors that influences language development is early reading practice (early literacy) and storytelling. Early literacy skills are the knowledge, attitudes and skills of an early age child related to reading and writing before mastering formal skills at school age. The components of early literacy are reading interest, language skills, phonological awareness, reading skills, and writing skills. In addition to early age reading skills (literacy), to improve expressive language skills, also by getting children used to telling stories (story telling). Story telling is a mechanism for conveying stories using words, images, sounds, or movements with the intention of communicating messages or influencing the audience. Objectives: This study is to determine the effect of Early Literacy Skills and Story Telling on the Expressive Language Skills of Preschool Children. Methods: This study design uses a systematic review conducted by searching and selecting various kinds of data from the results of previous research and data from the results of clinical trials conducted across ethnicities, races, and also the location in the world, the time of the study results to be selected is in the period 2000-2023. The article search will be conducted for a maximum of 2 months. Instrument: Research data is searched from databases, including: PubMed and Google Scholar. Results: By using the search keywords "early language intervention" AND "clp" AND "observational".  Conclusion: The storytelling method has been proven effective and significant in improving the language skills of early childhood, especially in the aspects of expressive language, vocabulary, and oral communication. A variety of media (digital, puppets, children's work, and local wisdom) strengthens the effectiveness of this method. Storytelling is recommended as the main learning strategy in stimulating the language development of early childhood. Keywords: Storytelling, Expressive Language Skills
