Abstract

AbstractThe psychological development of students in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) and Elementary Schools (SD) is a very important aspect in forming the foundation of children's education. Elementary school is a very crucial period in the psychological development of children, where children not only experience cognitive growth, but also social, emotional, and behavioral development that will affect their learning process throughout life. This study aims to understand the psychological development of students in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) and Elementary Schools (SD) and the factors that influence it. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design on a number of students in several MI and SD. The results of the study indicate that the psychological development of students is influenced by internal and external factors, including age, family environment, and social interactions at school. These findings provide insight into the importance of a psychological approach in basic education to support optimal child development. Keywords: Student Psychology, Psychological Development, MI/SD.

Abstract

One of the learning adaptation processes in the revolutionary era of 4.0 is digital and interactive-based student worksheets (LKPD). LKPDs are more innovative and can be packaged in online form or can be called Electronic Student Worksheets (E-LKPD). This paper aims to conduct a need analysis of E-LKPD based on live worksheets in science natural learning subjects at class V SD. The research was conducted at SDN 87 Palembang. Data collection uses a questionnaire with qualitative data. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion, and verification. The data that need to be analyzed regarding the use of the teaching materials are the implementation of teaching and learning material through the evaluation system and the supporting factors. The research results of the need analysis imply that 46.9% answered that the learning method that was frequently used was discussion or question and answer. In addition, 84.4% of students answered that they had difficulty understanding natural science learning subjects in the class. A total of 78.1% of students stated that they really needed live worksheet-based E-LKPD teaching materials in the learning process in the class. Subsequently, 75% of students strongly agree that the use of the E-LKPD is equipped with interesting pictures, videos, audio, and questions. Hence, E-LKPD based on Liveworksheets can be used as an alternative electronic teaching material.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of students' creativity skills in learning, develop a Team Project-Based Flip Classroom Learning Model, and determine the learning model's effectiveness. The research was conducted at one of the vocational schools in Sukoharjo Regency. This research was conducted as research and development using mixed methods in data collection. The instrument's validity for measuring the learning model was evaluated using the Aiken V coefficient, and the model's effectiveness was determined using the N-gain score. The results showed that the team project-based flip classroom learning model is reliable and efficient. This model has three main steps: independent learning, face-to-face learning, and guided learning for self-reflection. These findings imply that teachers, particularly at the vocational education level, can utilize the team-project-based flipped classroom learning model as an alternative learning strategy that emphasizes material mastery and optimizes student creativity development. This model is also relevant for applications in subjects requiring technical skills and creative problem-solving.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat permainan edukatif (APE) yang valid dan praktis sebagai media bagi orang tua dalam menstimulasi kecerdasan emosional anak usia 4–6 tahun di Kelurahan Timbangan Ogan Ilir. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang mencakup lima tahapan: analisis, perencanaan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Materi dalam APE mencakup ekspresi wajah yang merepresentasikan enam emosi dasar, yaitu: gembira, sedih, marah, terkejut, terharu, dan takut. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas dua validator (ahli materi dan ahli media), serta delapan pasangan orang tua-anak. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket pada tahap awal dan dianalisis menggunakan skala Guttman untuk kebutuhan serta skala Likert untuk validasi dan kepraktisan produk. Validasi dilakukan oleh dua ahli dan diperoleh hasil “Sangat Valid” dengan persentase 96,5%. Uji kepraktisan melalui uji coba one-to-one menghasilkan skor 95,5%, dan uji coba small group memperoleh 89,5%, keduanya menunjukkan tingkat kepraktisan yang tinggi. Dengan demikian, Board Game Emosi yang dinyatakan sangat valid dan praktis sehingga layak digunakan oleh orang tua dalam menstimulasi kecerdasan emosi anak. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan solusi yang lebih efektif dan aplikatif bagi akademisi maupun praktisi melalui APE yang telah terbukti sangat valid dan sangat praktis.

Abstract

Fetal weight has a very important meaning for planning midwifery care. Deviations found can be corrected immediately both during pregnancy and childbirth so that treatment is carried out on time. Clinical decisions made include the choice of type of delivery. This is expected to improve pregnancy outcomes for the welfare of the mother and fetus. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in estimated fetal weight using the Insler Formula and the Johnson Formula compared to the baby's birth weight. This study used a cross sectional design. Sample taken by consecutive sampling. The criteria selected were third trimester pregnant women > 37-42 weeks pregnant, do a pregnancy check  until giving birth at the Garuda and Ibrahim Aji Public Health Centers in Bandung City from July to November 2022. Estimated fetal weight was measured during antenatal checks using the Insler and Johnson formulas. The estimated fetal weight is compared with the actual weight of the newborn. Based on the results of a study that compared the estimated fetal weight with the baby's birth weight, it was found that there was no significant difference between the use of the Insler and Johnson formulas to measure the estimated fetal weight and birth weight p value > 0.05. The Johnson and Insler formula can be applied by student midwives or midwife practitioners when conducting antenatal care in the third trimester (gestational age > 37-42 weeks). This formula is a simple detection method, using simple tools, easy to obtain and can be used anytime and anywhere, namely a measuring tape. In addition, the measurement guidelines and calculation formulas are simple and easy to apply.

Abstract

Kemampuan berbicara merupakan aspek penting yang perlu distimulasi sejak usia dini sebagai dasar komunikasi sosial. Anak usia 5–6 tahun berada pada masa emas perkembangan bahasa sehingga peran guru menjadi krusial dalam memberikan stimulasi yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara anak melalui metode bercerita di TK Negeri Pembina Ogan Ilir. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman dengan triangulasi sumber dan teknik untuk menjamin keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memegang peran integratif dalam pembelajaran, yaitu menciptakan suasana belajar kondusif, membimbing anak mengemukakan pendapat, memfasilitasi pembelajaran dengan media variatif seperti buku cerita, boneka tangan, dan film animasi, serta memotivasi anak melalui pujian dan apresiasi untuk menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri. Peran tersebut terbukti efektif dalam memperluas kosakata, meningkatkan kelancaran berbicara, dan melatih keberanian anak berkomunikasi. Simpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan metode bercerita sangat dipengaruhi kreativitas dan konsistensi guru dalam menjalankan peran sebagai pengajar, pembimbing, fasilitator, dan motivator.

Abstract

By providing students with brief and focused learning resources, microlearning has been touted as a potential means of fostering critical thinking in learners. To increase students' reading abilities at the fundamental grade 10 level according to the CEFR Level, the aim of this study is to give an overview of how critical thinking is incorporated in the use of microlearning material objects. The results are anticipated to be used as a guide by the corporate community, government, and academia in promoting, developing, and putting into practice microlearning in English reading. Two different sets of analysis were performed for this investigation. The author begins by reviewing the instructional materials of English Reading in light of the Kurikulum Merdeka. The author also looks at the stages of adopting microlearning in learning from a variety of sources. According to the results of the reviews on microlearning, there are various methods and forms of microlearning that may be utilized to create learning materials for reading. From a work-based learning standpoint, microlearning has been identified as a key topic in talent development. To assist people in learning on the correct road through accurate knowledge and ethical reasoning, policy makers, educators, researchers, and participants should look into strategies to encourage, generate, and apply microlearning.

Abstract

In order to promote students' language development, teachers in lower and higher education must have a working grasp of English linguistics. This article used a video from the YouTube platform to analyze the teacher's Application of linguistics in an English learning and teaching situation. The researcher employed content analysis of qualitative research in this study. In order to explore how analysing the teacher’s understanding of linguistics in an English learning and teaching through YouTube platform, this study answers the following research question, by analysing the recorded video sessions from a YouTube, what linguistic aspect is used by the English teacher in the teaching Biography and Analytical Exposition? And how does the teacher used linguistic knowledge of the mostly found in linguistic aspect? One senior high school teacher was paired with 22 students in this YouTube video. The teacher was enrolled in 11 class at Senior high school that focused on Biography and Analytical Exposition. The goal of this study is to determine teacher understanding in order to investigate the benefits of this reflective activity on their linguistics knowledge.

Abstract

Autism is a complex developmental disorder that has always been challenging in the education and medicine field. The Islamic teaching and learning model for autistic children requires a special approach. Only a small number of teachers and parents can facilitate autistic children effectively and efficiently. In Indonesia, the number of autistic children is increasing daily, yet there are limited competent teachers and parents to handle them. Meanwhile, the teaching and learning of Islam require educators to select and use multi-approach, multi-media, and multi-methods appropriately to be effective and efficien. This research aimed to examine an experiential-based sociological approach to learning about Islam for Autistic children at Pesantren Anak Sholeh Baitul Qur’an Ponorogo, Indonesia, using a qualitative method. A purposive sampling technique was used to select subjects, specifically teachers and children. The data was collected using interviews, observation, and documentation.‎ The results showed that the experience-based habitus sociology approach effectively teaches autistic children in three cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Monitoring and intensive evaluation to assess the activities at home and school requires the cooperation of parents and teachers and follow-up efforts to enhance learning.

Abstract

Humanism is a philosophical stance that highlights the value and ability of human beings. The presence of language in human existence cannot be seen in isolation or as without any purpose. Therefore, it is crucial to dig deeper the application of Humanism in English language teaching. This study explores the goals and beliefs of Humanism, presents the basic elements of ELT programs, and shows in what ways that goals and beliefs of Humanism has been addressed in ELT programs. A literature review was conducted, involving article collection, article reduction, display, discussion, and conclusions. The study found that goals and beliefs of Humanism are addressed in some English language teaching programs, for instance Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Silent Way, Suggestopedia, Total Physical Response (TPR), Community Language Learning (CLL), and Task-Based Learning (TBLT). Moreover, it can be seen that the application of goals and beliefs may be wholly but also partly an element of a learning program. Acknowledging these, addressing Humanism in ELT program is varied, and recognizing these contributing factors can help challenge biases and fathom our knowledge of Humanism.
