Abstract

The growth of the hospital industry shows that hospitals are currently seen as a promising business opportunity. The increasing level of business competition makes hospital management must conduct an analysis to obtain competitive rates. Rates decision is an important part of ensuring the sustainability of the hospital business. This study aims to analyze the implementation of inpatient rates at XYZ Hospital, South Jakarta, evaluate its impact on the hospital, and analyze the application of more competitive inpatient rates. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, document review, and questionnaire surveys. Primary data was obtained from interviews with hospital informants and patient surveys to measure Willingness to Pay (WTP) and Ability to Pay (ATP). Secondary data was obtained through documentation related to hospital operational costs. Rates analysis was conducted using the Activity-Based Costing (ABC) method for unit cost calculation and comparison with patients' ability and willingness to pay. The results showed XYZ Hospital still uses the traditional method in setting inpatient rates. The impact of implementing this method is the high price of inpatient rates. To overcome these problems, rates were calculated using the ABC, ATP, and WTP methods to obtain more accurate rates that reflect the actual use of hospital resources. The calculation analysis showed that the application of the new recommended rates allows the hospital to set more competitive rates, which is expected to improve the competitiveness of inpatient services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic steps taken by RSU Purbowangi in improving the effectiveness of eye superior services, identify obstacles and efforts to improve accessibility and quality of services, and evaluate the strategies applied in service development to remain competitive. The approach used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive method, which allows in-depth exploration of the strategy for developing superior services. Data were obtained through interviews with ophthalmologists, nurses, and hospital management, and analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that RSU Purbowangi implemented a strategy to increase the effectiveness of the eye service by strengthening human resources through specialist training, applying the latest medical technology, and optimizing the service management system to increase efficiency and reduce medical errors. The main obstacles faced include limited facilities and high patient demand, which are overcome by improving the queuing system, adding specialist medical personnel, and optimizing technology in services. To maintain competitiveness, the hospital implemented service innovations, such as online consultations, as well as increased collaboration with eye specialist clinics and conducted comparative studies to adopt best practices in health services.

Abstract

Human Resource Management (HRM) plays a crucial role in helping organizations manage their workforce effectively to achieve their goals. In digital era, the role of HRM has expanded far beyond traditional administrative tasks. It has become a strategic partner focused on driving innovation, managing data, and building employees’ digital skills. Organizations are now expected to integrate digital technologies—such as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), artificial intelligence (AI), and various digital platforms—into key HR functions like recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and talent retention. This article explores the meaning and evolving role of HRM in the digital age through a qualitative, literature-based approach. The findings highlight that the success of HRM depends on how well organizations can adapt to technological change and foster a work culture that is flexible, collaborative, and data-driven. Abstract

ABSTRAK Sektor pelayanan kesehatan global menghadapi tantangan yang kompleks, menuntut rumah sakit untuk mengoptimalkan setiap aspek operasionalnya. Sumber daya manusia merupakan elemen fundamental yang menggerakkan roda organisasi, khususnya dalam kompleksitas ekosistem rumah sakit. Sumber daya manusia menjadi aset terpenting dalam organisasi rumah sakit yang secara langsung mempengaruhi kualitas pelayanan dan efisiensi operasional. Sumber daya manusia tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai pelaksana tugas operasional, melainkan sebagai pilar utama yang menopang dan mewujudkan visi serta misi pelayanan kesehatan. Artikel ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk mengelaborasi peran krusial identifikasi kebutuhan pelatihan dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia dalam meningkatkan kinerja rumah sakit dan kualitas pelayanan pasien. Pembahasan mencakup definisi pelatihan dan pengembangan, eksplorasi berbagai metodologi identifikasi kebutuhan pelatihan dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia, serta analisis-analisis yang diperlukan dalam identifikasi kebutuhan pelatihan dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan strategis terhadap manajemen sumber daya manusia, yang melibatkan identifikasi kebutuhan pelatihan yang akurat dan program pengembangan berkelanjutan merupakan prasyarat fundamental untuk mencapai keunggulan organisasi dan pelayanan pasien yang superior. Kata kunci : identifikasi, kebutuhan, pelatihan, pengembangan, sumber daya manusia ABSTRACT The global health care sector faces complex challenges, requiring hospitals to optimize every aspect of their operations. Human resources are the fundamental elements that drive the wheels of organization, particularly in the complexity of hospital ecosystems. Human resources are the most important asset in hospital organizations that directly affect service quality and operational efficiency. Human resources not only serve as operational tasks, but as the main pillar that supports and realizes the vision and mission of health services. This scientific article aims to elaborate on the crucial role of identifying training needs and human resource development in improving hospital performance and patient service quality. Discussions include the definition of training and development, the exploration of various methodologies for identifying training needs and human resource development, and the analysis required in identifying training needs and human resource development. The findings suggest that a strategic approach to human resource management, involving accurate identification of training needs and sustainable development programs, is a fundamental prerequisite for achieving superior organizational excellence and patient. Abstract

Dalam era globalisasi yang ditandai oleh keragaman budaya dan mobilitas tenaga kerja yang tinggi, kompetensi budaya menjadi aspek krusial dalam pengembangan sumber daya manusia (SDM). Kompetensi budaya tidak hanya mencakup pemahaman tentang berbagai budaya, tetapi juga kemampuan untuk berinteraksi secara efektif dengan individu dari latar belakang yang berbeda. Organisasi harus mampu mengelola keragaman budaya untuk mencapai kinerja yang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan tinjauan sistematis terhadap tren dan tantangan dalam pengembangan kompetensi budaya di tempat kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tinjauan sistematis dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis literatur yang relevan. Dilakukan pencarian di google sholar terdapat total 150 makalah yang relevan, setelah diterapkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, jumlah makalah yang memenuhi syarat menjadi 45 makalah.Banyak organisasi telah mengadopsi praktik pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi budaya, tetapi masih banyak tantangan yang terdapat di tempat kerja seperti resistensi terhadap perubahan dan kurangnya evaluasi.Untuk meningkatkan kompetensi budaya dalam pengembangan SDM, organisasi perlu mengadopsi pendekatan yang lebih terintegrasi dan melibatkan semua level dalam organisasi.

Abstract

Akreditasi rumah sakit merupakan penilaian terhadap suatu rumah sakit supaya rumah sakit mempunyai standar pelayanan yang sesuai sehingga dapat memberikan pelayanan yang mengutamakan mutu dan keselamatan pasien. Standar penilaian akreditasi yang paling penting meliputi empat elemen dasar penilaian rumah sakit yaitu Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD), Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Karyawan Rumah Sakit (K3RS), Sasaran Keselamatan Pasien (SKP), dan Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Infeksi (PPI). Sehingga empat elemen dasar penilaian tersebut mampu dipahami oleh seluruh karyawan rumah sakit baik medis ataupun non medis. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi hasil pelatihan empat elemen dasar yang telah dilakukan di  rumah sakit TMC Tasikmalaya dengan jumlah peserta berjumlah 50 orang. Metode yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan membandingkan nilai pre-test dan post-test serta metode wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan nilai yang signifikan dari 58,2% nilai pre-test menjadi 90,4% pada nilai post-test sehingga bisa dinilai pelatihan efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman peserta. Meskipun ada beberapa kendala yang dapat diperbaiki untuk pelatihan selanjutnya.

Abstract

The enactment of Law No. 11 of 2020 on Job Creation (Omnibus Law) has intensified competition within the hospital sector. Government-owned hospitals face increasing competition from private hospitals that possess more flexible and abundant resources. Additionally, the implementation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) has resulted in a continual rise in BPJS patient visits. However, delayed BPJS Health claim reimbursements have caused severe liquidity crises in government hospitals, where BPJS patients constitute 80-95% of total hospital admissions. This financial uncertainty, specifically regarding income and work compensation, has led to diminished work motivation, increased stress levels, and heightened internal conflict among staff members, ultimately hindering human resource development programs under already high workloads. This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation and work motivation on nurses' service performance in government hospitals. A quantitative descriptive-analytic design was employed using a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected through structured interviews and questionnaires, and analyzed using content analysis by comparing findings from two prior research studies. The results demonstrate that the independent variables—compensation (X1) and work motivation (X2)—significantly influence nurses' service performance (Y) in government hospitals.

Abstract

Background: The rapid development of digital technology has intensified the need for mastering both soft and hard skills to improve individual competitiveness in today’s workforce. Both skill sets play a critical role in determining individual performance and job readiness. Objective: This study aims to systematically review the impact of soft skill and hard skill development on performance in the digital era. Methods: A systematic review was conducted using relevant keywords to search online scientific databases for articles published between 2020 and 2025. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 9 studies were selected from an initial pool of 129 publications. Results: The analysis revealed that the development of soft skills such as self-awareness, empathy, and relationship management, along with hard skills such as technical proficiency, significantly influences employee performance, student job readiness, and the formation of self-efficacy. Conclusion: A balanced development of both soft and hard skills is essential for individual success in both academic and professional settings. In the digital era, these competencies are vital for adaptability and continuous learning. Suggestion: Integration into educational curriculum, collaboration between academia and industry, enhancing hr roles in the workplace, development of interactive digital modules. Abstract

This Community Service aims to provide motivation to the inmates of the Women's Prison in Kerobokan, Bali. PKM with the theme "Turning Stigma into Opportunity" strengthens the motivation of inmates to rise with more confidence in facing life after leaving the prison. This PKM method uses Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR), where the community and academics conduct activities aimed at bringing about change or improvement in conditions, which can begin with strengthening the knowledge and awareness of former inmates to be better prepared to face the stigma that occurs in society. The activity was conducted on February 13, 2025, with the participation of 40 former inmates. The presentation began with games, followed by the delivery of material and a conclusion regarding the stigma that will be faced in society and how to turn it into an opportunity. This activity provides new insights and motivation for participants to rise and rebuild their lives after leaving the correctional facility.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan mengoptimalkan strategi pengelolaan obat non-formularium yang berbasis efisiensi biaya di Rumah Sakit Advent Manado. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman mendalam tentang praktik pengelolaan obat non-formularium saat ini dan tantangan yang dihadapi, termasuk masalah ketersediaan, biaya, dan komunikasi antara pasien dan staf rumah sakit. Hasil wawancara dengan dokter spesialis, apoteker, manajemen rumah sakit, dan pasien menunjukkan bahwa meskipun ada beberapa strategi yang diterapkan, masih terdapat kekurangan dalam komunikasi dan evaluasi yang mempengaruhi pengelolaan obat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya perbaikan dalam proses perencanaan, pengendalian, dan evaluasi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi biaya dan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi pengembangan manajemen obat non-formularium yang lebih efisien di rumah sakit
