Abstract

Improving the quality of education depends not only on the size of the available budget, but also on the effectiveness of the financing management applied by educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the implementation of financial management in enhancing educational quality within private religious-based institutions, with a case study at MTs Al-Hidayah Sukajaya, Bandar Lampung. A qualitative approach was employed using a case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, and analyzed thematically using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The results indicate that MTs Al-Hidayah implements need-based budgeting, transparent and accountable financial execution, and continuous oversight through internal audits and participatory evaluation. These strategies have proven effective in increasing public trust, improving infrastructure quality, and enhancing teacher motivation and performance. The study implies that participatory, need-based, and accountable financial management is essential to achieving sustainable educational quality, particularly in resource-constrained madrasah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mengetahui hubungan antara kekuatan otot kaki dengan ketepatan smash balik dalam cabang olahraga sepak takraw pada atlet club Mulawarman Kutai Kartanegara tahun 2019, dengan populasi 30 atlet. Untuk memperoleh data dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode korelasi, data-data lapangan yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan statistik menggunakan korelasi product moment.Setelah dilakukan perhitungan teknik tersebut diperoleh harga rxy sebesar 0.756, kemudian hasil ini dibandingkan dengan tabel interprestasi dan ternyata nilai r tersebut terletak pada taraf 0.600 sampai dengan 0.799 termasuk kategori hubungan yang kuat. Selanjutnya dilakukan tahap pengujian berikutnya menggunakan uji t-test diperoleh nilai hitung sebesar 6.111 dan nilai t-hitung akan diinterprestasikan dengan nilai t-tabel pada taraf kepercayaan 95% atau, pada tingkat kesalahan 5% untuk jumlah n = 30 didapatkan nilai t-tabel sebesar 2.048 maka t-hitung > t-tabel berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian hipotesis alternative (Ha) yang telah penulis ajukan bahwa “Ada hubungan antara kekuatan otot kaki dengan ketepatan smash balik olahraga sepak takraw pada atlet club Mulawarman Kutai Kartanegara tahun 2019” diterima.

Abstract

Kekurangan air bersih kadang terjadi saat musim kemarau panjang di wilayah Desa Gumantar, Kayangan, Lombok Utara, sehingga mendorong perlunya pemanfaatan sumber air alternatif seperti air hujan. Salah satu teknologi tepat guna untuk mengolah air hujan adalah Down Flow Slow Sand Filter (DSSF) tipe U, sebuah sistem filtrasi gravitasi yang dirancang untuk skala rumah tangga atau komunal kecil. Kelebihan utama dari alat ini adalah konstruksinya yang sederhana, biaya operasional yang sangat rendah karena tidak memerlukan energi listrik, menggunakan material lokal, murah serta kemampuannya yang efektif dalam mengurangi kekeruhan melalui lapisan biologis yang terbentuk di atas media pasir. Metode sosialisasi berupa penyuluhan kepada masyarakat secara terpusat di Masjid Nurul Iman, Dusun Dasan Tereng, Desa Gumantar, Lombok Utara menggunakan alat peraga berupa materi tayangan, slide dan gambar-gambar pendukung lainnya. Antusias masyarakat cukup tinggi dalam merespon pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut. DSSF tipe U dapat menjadi solusi yang menjanjikan dan berkelanjutan untuk penyediaan air bersih di daerah krisis air bersih.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengangkat bagaimana sapaan lokal “iyye” dan “tabe” digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran untuk memperkuat nilai-nilai karakter mahasiswa di Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (PGMI) Universitas Islam Ahmad Dahlan (UIAD) Sinjai. Kedua sapaan ini berasal dari budaya Bugis-Makassar dan memiliki makna yang kuat dalam menunjukkan rasa hormat, sopan santun, dan penghargaan kepada orang lain. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung di kelas, wawancara dengan mahasiswa, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa terbiasa menggunakan “iyye” sebagai bentuk persetujuan yang sopan, dan “tabe” sebagai ucapan permisi atau tanda hormat, baik kepada dosen maupun sesama teman. Kebiasaan ini bukan hanya memperlihatkan identitas budaya mereka, tetapi juga ikut membentuk sikap saling menghargai, saling mengingatkan, dan memperkuat nilai etika dalam berkomunikasi. Dalam konteks pembelajaran, sapaan lokal ini berfungsi lebih dari sekadar alat bahasa ia menjadi media yang efektif untuk menanamkan karakter positif dan membangun suasana akademik yang berakar pada nilai-nilai kearifan lokal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) yang dikombinasikan dengan media dan bahan ajar virtual pada materi gaya (magnet) di kelas IV SD Negeri 001 Muara Komam. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari rendahnya keterlibatan dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi gaya magnet, yang bersifat abstrak dan sulit dipahami melalui metode ceramah konvensional. Model PjBL dipilih karena berorientasi pada aktivitas proyek yang menuntut siswa berperan aktif dalam menemukan dan menerapkan konsep melalui pengalaman langsung. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan tahapan penerapan model PjBL, yaitu: (1) perencanaan proyek, (2) pelaksanaan kegiatan eksplorasi gaya magnet di lingkungan sekitar, (3) pembuatan produk berupa video atau poster digital, dan (4) presentasi serta refleksi hasil proyek. Media dan bahan ajar virtual yang digunakan meliputi modul digital, simulasi interaktif, serta worksheet berbasis daring. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi aktivitas siswa, tes hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah penerapan, serta angket respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PjBL dengan media virtual mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, memperkuat pemahaman konsep gaya magnet, dan mendorong kemampuan berpikir kritis serta kolaboratif. Sebagian besar siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran karena dinilai lebih menarik dan mudah dipahami. Meskipun terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan perangkat dan waktu, model ini dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Petani kentang di Desa Kanreapia menghadapi tantangan fluktuasi harga, ketergantungan pada tengkulak, kelembagaan tani lemah, dan minimnya pengolahan pascapanen, dengan produktivitas 20 ton/ha (dibawah potensi 30 ton/ha). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi masalah aktual, merumuskan strategi partisipatif, dan memperkuat kelembagaan serta pemasaran berbasis kearifan lokal. Menggunakan participatory action research (PAR) melalui diskusi terstruktur dan observasi lapangan bersama 25 petani, penyuluh, dan akademisi. Hasil mengungkap empat masalah utama: (1) ketergantungan pada tengkulak, (2) minim diversifikasi produk olahan, (3) kelembagaan tidak optimal, dan (4) akses informasi terbatas. Rekomendasi mencakup penguatan kelembagaan sebagai unit bisnis kolektif, pelatihan pascapanen, dan kolaborasi pemasaran digital. Pendekatan partisipatif efektif membangun solusi kontekstual, namun memerlukan pendampingan jangka panjang dan integrasi kebijakan lokal untuk keberlanjutan.

Abstract

This research intends to examine how the management of learning strategies in economics-based social sciences (IPS) can enhance the economic competence of high school students. This study was done with qualitative approaches using literature study and observation methods. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 South Jakarta involving 45 IPS teacher respondents and 150 student respondents.  They collected data using questionnaires, classroom observations, and interviews and then analyzed them qualitatively and quantitatively. The research findings show that the implementation of structured and innovative learning can improve students’ understanding, interest and critical thinking of economical concept. Teachers' managerial strategies consist of planning, organizing, implementing, controlling, and evaluating learning. An effective and productive learning environment happens with these managerial strategies. Teachers who use a very clear learning plan (82%) and organize learning activities well (76%) are effective. Teachers who manage time and discipline well (88%) and often give evaluation and feedback (15%) increase in students average grades) are effective.  The findings of this research are expected to provide inputs for the development of competency-based economic education management in IPS.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in improving the learning process and outcomes of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in elementary school students. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each covering the stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 12 fifth-grade students at Muhammadiyah Muara Bungo Elementary School, with the researcher acting as the teacher and assisted by two observers. Data were collected using qualitative techniques in the form of observation sheets and quantitative techniques in the form of learning outcome tests. The results showed that the application of CTL was able to improve the implementation of learning and student learning outcomes. Teacher observation increased from 71.42% in cycle I to 84.37% in cycle II, while student observation increased from 58% to 79%. The improvement in student learning outcomes was also significant, from 41.66% in cycle I to 83.33% in cycle II. These findings indicate that the CTL model can be an effective alternative learning strategy to improve the quality of the learning process and academic achievement of students in IPAS subjects. The implications of this study encourage the wider application of CTL as an innovative effort in contextual experience-based learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The development of early childhood language skills requires learning media that are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and capable of actively involving children in meaningful learning experiences. However, classroom practices often rely on limited and less interactive media, which may hinder optimal language development. This study aimed to develop an interactive storybook learning media and examine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in enhancing early childhood language abilities, including receptive language, expressive language, and early literacy skills. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Four-D (4D) model, consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The research was conducted at Runiah School Kindergarten in Makassar, involving teachers and children in a limited field trial. Data were collected through observation, documentation, expert validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires, and children’s language development assessments, and were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis and quantitative techniques, including the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results indicate that the interactive storybook media achieved a very high level of validity based on expert evaluation, was categorized as very practical according to teacher responses, and proved effective in significantly improving children’s language abilities, with most children reaching the Developing as Expected category and no longer classified as Not Yet Developed. The findings reveal that interactive storybook media not only enhance language outcomes but also increase children’s engagement, interest in reading, and active participation during learning activities. These results imply that interactive storybook media can serve as an effective and innovative alternative learning resource for early childhood educators, supporting language development while aligning with technological advancements and child-centered learning principles.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of rice husk ash (RHA) as a partial replacement of cement and corn cob ash (CCA) as a partial replacement of fine aggregate on the compressive and flexural strength of concrete at 28 days. The concrete was designed with a target strength of 20 MPa. RHA was used at 6% by weight of cement, while CCA was varied at 4%, 5%, 6%, and 7% by weight of fine aggregate. Testing was performed using cylindrical specimens for compressive strength and beam specimens for flexural strength at 28 days. The control concrete (without additives) had a compressive strength of 10.191 MPa. The addition of 6% RHA and 4% CCA increased compressive strength to 13.135 MPa, rising to 13.531 MPa at 5% CCA, and reaching a peak of 13.701 MPa at 6% CCA, an increase of 34.4% compared to the control. However, at 7% CCA, compressive strength decreased to 12.059 MPa. For flexural strength, the control concrete reached 3.081 MPa, while the highest value of 3.595 MPa was obtained at 7% CCA, an increase of 16.7%.
