Abstract

Background & Objective: Head injury is a serious health problem that can cause neurological complications, including acute non-epileptic seizures. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the severity of head injury and the occurrence of acute non-epileptic seizures in patients with head injury at Umar Wirahadikusumah Regional General Hospital. Method: This study applied a quantitative cross-sectional retrospective design. The population included all head injury patients recorded in medical records from 2024 to 2025. A total 159 samples were selected using purposive sampling techniques from patients with mild, moderate, or severe head injury without a previous history of epilepsy. The research instrument was a medical record review sheet. Head injury severity assessed using the Glasgow coma scale score served as the independent variable, while acute non-epileptic seizures were the dependent variable. Data were presented descriptively and analyzed using the Spearman’s correlation test. Result: The results showed a statistically significant relationship between the severity of head injury and the occurrence of acute non-epileptic seizures, with a probability value less than 0.001 and a correlation coefficient of 0.477, indicating a positive relationship with moderate strength. Conclusion: The severity of head injury is significantly associated with the occurrence of acute non-epileptic seizures, highlighting the importance of early neurological assessment and increased clinical vigilance in patients with head injury, particularly in emergency care settings.

Abstract

Children aged 0-3 months represents a critical period for child development, especially in the acquisition of gross motor skills. One recommended form of early stimulation during this stage is the prone position or tummy time, which plays an essential role in strengthening the neck, back, and shoulder muscles and supporting the achievement of subsequent developmental milestones. The successful implementation of tummy time is strongly influenced by maternal support as the primary caregiver, encompassing emotional, instrumental, informational, and appraisal support. This study aimed to examine the relationship between maternal support and tummy time habits among infants aged 0-3 months in Mekarjaya Village, North Sumedang District. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed. The study sample consisted of 72 mothers with infants aged 0-3 months, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires measuring maternal support and tummy time habits. Statistical analysis was conducted using Pearson’s correlation test. The findings revealed that most mothers demonstrated a very high level of support, while infants’ tummy time habits were predominantly categorized as good and very good. Bivariate analysis indicated a significant and very strong positive relationship between maternal support and tummy time habits (p < 0.001; r = 0.797), suggesting that higher levels of maternal support are associated with more optimal tummy time practices. These results highlight the crucial role of maternal involvement in promoting early motor stimulation. Therefore, it is recommended that healthcare professionals enhance educational and guidance programs for mothers regarding the importance of regular and appropriate tummy time practices to support optimal motor development in early infancy.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Backgorund: The majority of healthcare professionals who offer services in hospitalsare nurses. However, nurses frequently neglect interprofessional partnerships and teamwork in favor of concentrating solely on their individual jobs. This may lead to conflict inside a healthcare organization, which may have an impact on the efficiencywith which nurses provide nursing care. Purpose: The purpose of this literature review is to identify factors that have the potential to cause conflict, the parties involved in conflict management, conflict management strategies or solutions in the nursing workplace, and variables that influence the success of conflict resolution. Methods: A literature review was used as a method in this research. The scientific databases used are Google Scholar, Sage Journals, PubMed, Elsevier, Wiley, BookedCentral, andPortal Garuda. The search results yielded 92 articles. After selection, there were 11 international journal articles and 14 national journal articles. The selection process uses an abstract checklist and a PRISMA checklist. Result: The results of the review show that the factors that cause conflict in health services include work stress, low work satisfaction and motivation, miscoordination a lack of empathy in interdisciplinary collaboration and toxic leadership. The parties involved in conflict resolution are the head of the room, nurse manager, nurses and doctors. Conflict resolution can be carried out with compromising, integrating, cooperative, assertive and obliging strategies which are supported by interdisciplinary communication, management skills, emotional intelligence and the involvement of clinical educators. Conclusion:The aspects that most often cause conflict are work stress and problems with work coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration. The parties most often involved are the head of the room and the nurse manager. Conflict management can be done using an integrating style, where the integrating style is also the most dominant style of conflict management strategy. Mindfulness is a supporting factor in implementing this integrating style. Key words: Conflict Management; Hospital; Nursing; Related parties; Strategy Issues.

Abstract

Mental health is a crucial aspect of a child’s development. It directly impacts academic progress, social relationships, and the ability to manage emotions in a healthy way throughout life. During elementary school, children begin to face academic demands, complex social interactions, and significant emotional changes. Low mental health literacy limits their ability to recognize, express, and manage emotions in an adaptive manner. Children tend to express stress through external behaviors (easily angered, withdrawing, difficulty concentrating) that are often not recognized as early indicators of mental health issues. Approximately 10–20% of school-aged children experience emotional problems that impact learning and social functioning, with higher prevalence among migrant and diaspora children. This community service initiative aims to improve mental health literacy and emotional regulation through the SEHATI (Sekolah Hati Sehat) program. The method used is a participatory educational approach with stages of needs analysis, program implementation, and evaluation. The study subjects consisted of 27 elementary school students and 6 teachers. The instruments used were pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The results showed an increase in the average mental health literacy score among students from 71.3 to 88.6, as well as an increase in the emotional regulation score from 67.6 to 78.4. This indicates that the SEHATI program is effective in improving mental health literacy and strengthening emotional regulation among elementary school students

Abstract

Background : Although being pregnant is a wonderful time in a woman's life, the first trimester in particular can present health risks like nausea and vomiting. Depending on the intensity of the symptoms, nausea and vomiting during pregnancy are managed and treated with both pharmaceutical and non-pharmacological therapies. Objective : This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of ginger administration in addressing nausea and vomiting in pregnant women. Method : Our research is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and meta-analyses) technique. A journal search was carried out via Publish or Perish (POP) using the Google Scholar database with a period of 2019-2023, and 2,148 journals were found, with selection based on full text access, Indonesian language, and download availability. Result : Out of the 11 selected studies, the results indicate that ginger in various forms (beverages, candies, powders, infused water) is effective in reducing the intensity of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women during the first trimester. Conclusion : The conclusion was drawn that there was a difference in the average between pregnant women who consumed ginger food and those who did not consume it at all. Many of the results of the research found results that stated that pregnant women felt the effectiveness of ginger food starting from the frequency of nausea and vomiting which was rarely felt until pregnant women who no longer feel nausea and vomiting after diligently consuming ginger food.
