Abstract

This article examines the legal status of children born outside of marriage as a significant issue within the Indonesian legal system, particularly after the Constitutional Court Decision Number 46/PUU-VIII/2010. Prior to this decision, a child born outside of marriage was legally recognized as having a civil relationship only with the mother and her family, as stipulated in Article 43 paragraph (1) of the Marriage Law. The Constitutional Court’s ruling introduced a fundamental shift by allowing the possibility of establishing a civil relationship with the biological father, provided that scientific evidence—such as DNA testing—can prove a biological link. This development creates new dynamics in the protection of children's rights, especially regarding legal status, maintenance, and inheritance rights. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the position of children born outside of marriage after the Constitutional Court’s decision, viewed from both national law and Islamic law perspectives.

Abstract

Spurious SpO₂ readings—arising from motion artifacts, environmental interference, or device variability—remain a major limitation in wearable pulse oximetry, potentially triggering false alarms or missing hypoxemia during outpatient monitoring. Conventional devices often lack real-time mechanisms to detect and mitigate such errors, with previous reports indicating measurement biases of 11.2 - 24.5% across different models, underscoring the need for improved accuracy and user guidance. To address this gap, we present the design of an IoT-enabled wearable pulse oximeter with real-time user feedback, delivered through a mobile application. The system integrates a pulse oximetry and heart rate sensor (MAX30100) with a carbon monoxide gas sensor (MQ-7) and provides targeted notifications to guide corrective actions such as repositioning the probe, removing nail polish, or moving to fresh air. Validation involved controlled scenario testing (undetected SpO₂, CO >40 ppm, nail polish, loose contact) and user trials with 15 healthy volunteers from varied academic backgrounds. The prototype demonstrated high accuracy, with low relative errors—0.92% (HR), 0.93% (SpO₂), and 0.015% (CO)—and strong usability, achieving 93.3% compliance with corrective prompts, an average response time of 4.0±0.7 seconds, and a satisfaction score of 4.3/5. Compared with commercial oximeters, the proposed system improved reliability by reducing measurement errors by at least 87% through real-time corrective feedback. Future work will focus on energy-efficient power management and large-scale community-based trials to further validate performance across diverse patient populations.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the function of management actuating from the perspective of the Qur’an and its relevance to modern management theory. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by analyzing management literature, Islamic management texts, Qur’anic verses, prophetic traditions, and relevant scholarly articles. The findings indicate that the actuating function in Islamic management emphasizes ethical and spiritual dimensions such as just leadership, effective communication, intrinsic motivation, responsibility, consultation (shura), and sincerity. Core values including tawhid, amanah, justice, and consultation serve as moral foundations in the implementation of actuating functions. Therefore, management actuating in the Qur’anic perspective integrates organizational effectiveness with moral and spiritual development, particularly within Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

The coffee industry in Indonesia has experienced rapid growth in line with changes in lifestyle, particularly among students and young professionals. Coffee shops are no longer merely places to consume beverages but have evolved into spaces for social interaction, studying, and working. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of the Point Coffee business using a business feasibility study approach covering market and marketing aspects, legal aspects, technical and operational aspects, management, financial aspects, sharia and halal compliance, socio-economic aspects, and environmental considerations. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through observation, a mini-survey of potential consumers, and literature review. The results indicate that Point Coffee has strong market potential, primarily targeting students and young professionals, supported by a strategic location, affordable pricing, and a fast-service concept. From a financial perspective, the business is projected to reach its break-even point within 1–2 years with efficient operational management. Furthermore, Point Coffee is considered feasible in terms of legal compliance, management structure, and adherence to sharia and halal principles. The business also generates positive social and economic impacts by creating employment opportunities, utilizing local coffee beans, and implementing environmentally friendly practices. Based on these findings, Point Coffee is deemed feasible to be operated and developed sustainably.

Abstract

resource efficiency, waste minimization, and regenerative systems. This quantitative study investigates the relationship between circular economy implementation and its effects on public health and educational outcomes in Southeast Asia. Using panel data from five ASEAN countries Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines covering the 2015–2023 period, multiple regression analysis was employed to examine the correlation between CE implementation indicators and key health and education variables. The results reveal a significant negative association between the CE Implementation Index and national health burden (β = -0.47, p < 0.01), alongside a positive association with educational infrastructure (β = 0.53, p < 0.01). Path analysis further indicates that 35% of the circular economy’s influence on education is mediated through improved health conditions. The predictive model suggests that a 10% increase in CE implementation could reduce per capita healthcare expenditure by approximately USD 22.7 and enhance classroom availability by 5.3%. These findings underscore the need for integrated policy frameworks that harmonize environmental, health, and education strategies to advance sustainable development goals across Southeast Asia.
