Abstract

This study aims to examine the function of management actuating from the perspective of the Qur’an and its relevance to modern management theory. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by analyzing management literature, Islamic management texts, Qur’anic verses, prophetic traditions, and relevant scholarly articles. The findings indicate that the actuating function in Islamic management emphasizes ethical and spiritual dimensions such as just leadership, effective communication, intrinsic motivation, responsibility, consultation (shura), and sincerity. Core values including tawhid, amanah, justice, and consultation serve as moral foundations in the implementation of actuating functions. Therefore, management actuating in the Qur’anic perspective integrates organizational effectiveness with moral and spiritual development, particularly within Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

The coffee industry in Indonesia has experienced rapid growth in line with changes in lifestyle, particularly among students and young professionals. Coffee shops are no longer merely places to consume beverages but have evolved into spaces for social interaction, studying, and working. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of the Point Coffee business using a business feasibility study approach covering market and marketing aspects, legal aspects, technical and operational aspects, management, financial aspects, sharia and halal compliance, socio-economic aspects, and environmental considerations. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through observation, a mini-survey of potential consumers, and literature review. The results indicate that Point Coffee has strong market potential, primarily targeting students and young professionals, supported by a strategic location, affordable pricing, and a fast-service concept. From a financial perspective, the business is projected to reach its break-even point within 1–2 years with efficient operational management. Furthermore, Point Coffee is considered feasible in terms of legal compliance, management structure, and adherence to sharia and halal principles. The business also generates positive social and economic impacts by creating employment opportunities, utilizing local coffee beans, and implementing environmentally friendly practices. Based on these findings, Point Coffee is deemed feasible to be operated and developed sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the computational thinking skills of prospective elementary school teachers in basic mathematics courses. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive research. The research subject semester I students of PGSD Study Program, Harkat Negeri University. The data collection technique used uses skill test instruments in answering math problems in basic mathematics courses with the subject matter of the smallest common multiple and the largest fellowship factor. The collected data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. After data analysis, it is known that the first and second questions respondents are able to solve problems with components of computational thinking which include decomposition, abstraction, algorithms, and generalization, while there are different components in solving two different problems.

Abstract

Large red chili (capsicum annuum L.)  is a herbaceous plant that has a spicy taste and is one of the types of chili that is most widely used by the Indonesian people, especially on a household scale by 61%. Therefore, increasing the production of large red chili needs to be done, one of which is through the administration of gibberellin and Local Microorganisms (MOL) from Batu banana corms. This study aims to determine the effect of administering gibberellin (GA3) and MOL from Batu banana corms on the growth of large red chili plants, determine the most effective concentration, and observe the interaction between the two. The study was conducted from February to March 2024 at the Botany Laboratory, FMIPA, University of Lampung, using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor was gibberellin with two concentration levels (0% and 10%), and the second factor was MOL from Batu banana corms with three concentration levels (0%, 10%, and 20%) with five replications, resulting in 30 experimental units. The parameters observed included plant height, root length, fresh weight, dry weight, relative water content, chlorophyll content, and leaf visualization. Data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by a 5% Tukey test. The results showed that the combination of 10% GA3 and 20% MOL affected fresh weight, dry weight, and chlorophyll a, b, and total, while the control affected plant height, root length, and relative water content.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut (ISPA) masih menjadi penyebab utama kesakitan dan kematian anak di negara berkembang. Anak-anak lebih rentan mengalami komplikasi ISPA karena sistem imunnya belum sempurna, seperti gangguan ventilasi yang ditandai dengan napas cepat dan penurunan saturasi oksigen. Salah satu intervensi nonfarmakologis yang dapat diterapkan adalah posisi pronasi, yaitu posisi telungkup yang membantu ekspansi paru dan distribusi oksigen lebih optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh posisi pronasi terhadap frekuensi napas dan saturasi oksigen pada anak dengan ISPA di Ruang Bougenville RSUD dr. Haryoto, Kabupaten Lumajang, Jawa Timur. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan desain pre-eksperimental dengan pendekatan one group pretest-posttest. Sampel terdiri dari 25 pasien anak yang dipilih secara accidental sampling. Intervensi dilakukan selama 1 jam, dengan pengukuran sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan pulse oximeter. Hasil: Terjadi peningkatan signifikan pada rata-rata saturasi oksigen serta pola napas menuju normal, dengan hasil uji statistik nilai signifikansi untuk pola nafas  0,001 dan saturasi oksigen  0,001.Kesimpulan: Intervensi pemberian posisi pronasi pada pasien anak dengan ISPA efektif memperbaiki pola dafas dan saturasi oksigen.

Abstract

Karya sastra, khususnya cerita anak, memiliki peran penting dalam mengembangkan imajinasi, karakter, dan wawasan moral peserta didik. Namun, pemahaman terhadap unsur-unsur pembentuk cerita serta klasifikasinya masih sering terbatas, sehingga diperlukan kajian yang mampu menjelaskan kedua aspek tersebut secara sistematis. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis unsur-unsur intrinsik yang membangun cerita anak seperti tema, alur, penokohan, latar, sudut pandang, dan amanat serta menguraikan klasifikasi cerita anak berdasarkan karakteristik isi dan bentuk penyajiannya. Kajian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman terhadap unsur intrinsik membantu pembaca dan pendidik mengidentifikasi struktur cerita secara lebih komprehensif, sedangkan pengenalan klasifikasi meliputi buku bergambar, fabel, dongeng, legenda, fiksi realistik, fiksi ilmiah, cerita fantasi, hingga biografi memberikan alternatif pembelajaran yang variatif sesuai kebutuhan perkembangan anak. Artikel ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka yaitu dengan menelaah berbagai sumber. Dengan demikian, artikel ini menegaskan bahwa analisis unsur pembentuk dan klasifikasi cerita anak menjadi landasan penting dalam pembelajaran sastra di sekolah, sehingga pendidik dapat memilih bahan ajar yang tepat dan mampu menumbuhkan minat baca siswa

Abstract

This article examines the concept of justice in determining the margin of murabahah in Sharia People's Financing Banks (BPRS) using a normative approach to sharia economics. The focus of the research is directed at the conformity of the practice of determining margins with the principles of fiqh muamalah, maqashid al-sharia, as well as applicable regulations, especially the DSN-MUI Fatwa and OJK regulations. The results of the analysis show that although normatively the margin of murabhah should be based on cost of goods transparency, voluntary agreements, and information disclosure, practices in the field are still influenced by conventional benchmarks such as market interest rates and internal decisions of the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO). This situation has the potential to cause an identity crisis for Islamic financial institutions and weaken the principle of ridha bi al-taradhi. This study emphasizes the urgency of preparing national guidelines for determining margins based on maqashid al-sharia, the implementation of a more participatory negotiation mechanism between banks and customers, and increasing transparency through accountable written documents. Thus, this article contributes to strengthening the identity and legitimacy of Islamic banking while offering a normative framework as an alternative to pragmatic, market-oriented practices.

Abstract

Economic Policy Uncertainty (EPU) is one of the crucial factors affecting investors' decisions to invest in global capital markets. This study aims to analyze the movement of the Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) due to the influence of EPU, covering seven Asian countries, including Hong Kong, Japan, Pakistan, China, India, South Korea, and Singapore. The data used is monthly panel data from January 2010 to January 2025, employing the Feasible Generalized Least Squares (FGLS) method based on Cross-Section SUR (PCSE). The primary independent variable studied is EPU, with control variables including interest rates, inflation, and exchange rates. The analysis shows that EPU has a significant positive effect on the CSPI, indicating that an increase in global EPU can trigger a shift in investment to developing countries and sectors that are safe or resistant to uncertainty shocks. Meanwhile, interest rates and inflation indicate a significant negative impact on the CSPI, consistent with the theory that stock market performance is negatively affected by rising capital costs and declining purchasing power. Conversely, the exchange rate shows a significant positive impact on the CSPI, where the appreciation of the domestic currency increases investor confidence and improves export competitiveness. This study emphasizes the urgency of stabilizing the aggregate economy and managing perceptions in the face of economic policy uncertainty as a tactic to maintain investor interest in the stock market, thereby promoting sustainable economic development through long-term investments.

Abstract

Cabbage is a type of vegetable that contains various vitamins such as vitamins A, C, and K. One of the chemical components found in cabbage is nitrite (NO₂). Nitrite is a nutrient formed naturally with concentrations depending on species variation, season, light, and fertilizer use. This study aims to determine the nitrite levels in boiled purple and white cabbage with varying boiling times using the UV-Vis spectrophotometric method. Additionally, this research evaluates whether the nitrite content in the boiled cabbage remains within the Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI). The extraction was carried out using distilled water with boiling time variations of 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 minutes. Nitrite levels were determined using the UV-Vis spectrophotometric method. The nitrite content found in white cabbage for boiling durations of 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 minutes were 1.672 ppm, 0.986 ppm, 1.037 ppm, 0.951 ppm, and 0.999 ppm, respectively. For purple cabbage, the levels were 1.627 ppm, <0.5 ppm, 0.624 ppm, 0.775 ppm, and <0.5 ppm, respectively. The nitrite contents in both white and purple cabbage were found to be safe according to the ADI value of 4.2 mg/kg for a person weighing 60 kg.

Abstract

Waste cooking oil from household activities is one of the sources of environmental pollution when not properly managed. In Pungging Village, used cooking oil is generally discarded or sold at very low prices, resulting in minimal economic value for the community. This community service program aims to improve community knowledge and skills in utilizing used cooking oil to produce aromatherapy candles with economic value through the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The implementation method consisted of four stages: discovery, dream, design, and destiny, focusing on identifying local potentials, program planning, practical training, and production assistance. The program involved 17 participants consisting of housewives and micro-enterprise actors. The evaluation results showed an increase in participants’ understanding by approximately 30–40% based on the pre-test and post-test results. Furthermore, participants were able to independently produce aromatherapy candles with an estimated production cost of around IDR 4,000–5,000 per unit and a potential selling price ranging from IDR 8,000 to IDR 15,000 per unit. This program not only improved community skills but also generated economic added value and contributed to reducing household used cooking oil waste. However, the sustainability of the program still requires strengthening institutional support and marketing access to ensure systematic and long-term development.Permasalahan limbah minyak jelantah rumah tangga menjadi salah satu sumber pencemaran lingkungan apabila tidak dikelola secara tepat. Di Desa Pungging, minyak jelantah umumnya dibuang atau dijual dengan harga rendah sehingga belum memberikan nilai ekonomi bagi masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan minyak jelantah menjadi produk lilin aromaterapi yang bernilai ekonomis melalui pendekatan Asset Based Community Development (ABCD). Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahapan discovery, dream, design, dan destiny yang difokuskan pada identifikasi potensi lokal, perancangan program, pelatihan praktik, serta pendampingan produksi. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 17 peserta yang terdiri dari ibu rumah tangga dan pelaku UMKM. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta sebesar 30–40% berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test. Selain itu, peserta mampu memproduksi lilin aromaterapi secara mandiri dengan estimasi biaya produksi sekitar Rp4.000–Rp5.000 per unit dan potensi harga jual Rp8.000–Rp15.000 per unit. Program ini tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat, tetapi juga memberikan nilai tambah ekonomi serta berkontribusi terhadap pengurangan limbah minyak jelantah di lingkungan rumah tangga.
