Abstract

One technology that is developing rapidly and is part of communication technology is social media. Among various social media currently available, the three most used social media are Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. Facebook is the first social media that makes people in the world connected to each other and continues to develop its features so that it is difficult for old users to leave it. YouTube is a social media that allows someone to upload videos that they have for a long time. Instagram itself is popular because of its practical and simple way of using it. The aim of this research was to see how big a role social media plays in attracting tourists to visit Sabang City. This research was quantitative descriptive. The research method used was simple linear regression. The independent variable used was social media with the indicator being social media which is often used as promotional media such as Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, while the interest in visiting tourists to Sabang City was used as the dependent variable. The influence of social media in increasing tourist interest in the city of Sabang will be measured using the t test. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to tourists, both local and foreign. The research results show that the regression equation obtained is Y = 39.832 + 0.716X. The results of the t test show that the t count is 2,883, which means the t count is greater than the t table and shows the influence of social media on tourists' interest in visiting Sabang City. The coefficient of determination produces a figure of 12.7%, which shows that social media has an influence of 12.7% on tourist interest in visiting and the remaining 87.3% is influenced by other factors outside the model.

Abstract

Mathematics education that is of high quality does not only focus on the delivery of the material, but also on the effort to guide students to build understanding through active and independent thinking processes. One of the obstacles that often appears in this process is cognitive conflict, a condition in which students’ prior knowledge contradicts new information or concepts acquired during learning. This study aims to examine the potential of a metacognitive scaffolding approach using interactive video animations to address cognitive conflicts, particularly in the context of mathematics education. The study used the Systematic Literature Review method with a qualitative design. The population of the study includes all national and international scientific articles published from 2021 to 2026. A total of 15 articles were selected based on the following criteria: indexed in Scopus, SINTA, or DOAJ; discuss metacognitive scaffolding; and address video animation, interactive learning, and cognitive conflict in the context of education. Data were collected from Google Scholar, Research Rabbit, and Publish or Perish, and analyzed using Creswell’s six-stage procedure. The results of the study show that interactive video animations increase students’ conceptual understanding and learning motivation, while metacognitive scaffolding develops reflective thinking, mathematical literacy, and numeracy. The integration of both results in more optimal learning and helps students overcome cognitive conflicts by reconstructing their understanding independently.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Green Accounting on firm value with profitability as an intervening variable in basic and chemical industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period. Green Accounting is measured through environmental cost disclosure, profitability is proxied by Return on Equity (ROE), and firm value is represented by Price to Book Value (PBV). The research employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression and mediation testing with the Sobel method. The sample was selected using purposive sampling based on predetermined criteria. The results show that Green Accounting has no significant effect on profitability, indicating that environmental accounting practices have not yet contributed to short-term financial performance. However, Green Accounting has a positive and significant effect on firm value, suggesting that environmental transparency is appreciated by investors and positively influences market perception. Profitability also has a positive and significant effect on firm value, meaning that a company’s ability to generate profit remains a key determinant in market valuation. Furthermore, profitability is unable to mediate the relationship between Green Accounting and firm value due to the insignificant effect of Green Accounting on profitability. Thus, the influence of Green Accounting on firm value is direct rather than mediated through profitability.
