Abstract

The Role of Muslim Entrepreneurs in the Coal Weaving Industry Based on Local Wisdom shows that the role of Muslim entrepreneurs has contributed to the surrounding community as evidenced by the increasing number of workers or weaving craftsmen, where in the past the community was known as the lazy Malay myth which is a construction of negative cultural habits attach)ed to Malay self. Then the increase in weaving production innovations that not only manages songket weaving into clothing but also combines songket into several variations such as bags, pillowcases, wallets, sandals, caps, tanjak, and shoes, this is also evidence that there is a link between the construction of cultural values and An artifact that has become the local wisdom of the Malays is songket cloth. It is also proven by packaging innovations that are designed to be as attractive as possible with their respective business brand names. This is also inseparable from the support of the Batu Bara district government which provides assistance in the form of looms and provides a forum for entrepreneurs to beautify their sales packaging by constructing a building called a packaging house that can be used by entrepreneurs to develop their businesses so that they are competitive.

Abstract

There purpose of this research is to find out how online shopping and the traps of digital living culture in millennial age people. The method used in research in the field is qualitative research methods, with a phenomenological approach. In conducting the research, it was found that the use of online shopping applications and online money loan (credit) applications is getting higher, of course, will lead to social pathology. Directly or indirectly, it can trap the millennial community in a circle of consumerism. Without literacy, communication and information technology (digital literacy) can lead to social pathologies and can turn into a trap for users who are determined by a digital lifestyle. Popular culture is always changing and appears uniquely in various places and times. The conclusion drawn from this study is that popular culture forms currents and eddies, and represents a complex interdependent-mutual perspective and values that affect society and its institutions in various ways. It is very likely that people at millennial age will also be trapped by this popular online shopping culture.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Citra merupakan salah satu asset penting dari sebuah organisasi atau perusahaan yang harus dipelihara dan dibangun secara terus menerus. Citra perusahaan juga tidak terlepas dari peran seorang humas. Untuk itu humas harus mampu merancang master plan yang dirasa tepat dalam upaya mencitrakan perusahaannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana master plan yang dilakukan humas PT. Karya Bhakti Manunggal Kota Pematangsiantar dalam membangun citra perusahaan baik faktor eksternal maupun faktor internal. Teori yang digunakan untuk mengupas penelitian ini adalah teori Bill Canton. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Metode pengambilan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pihak humas PT. Karya Bhakti Manunggal Kota Pematangsiantar membentuk tim divisi digital. Hal tersebut dipicu karena perkembangan teknologi komunikasi yang semakin canggih sehingga perusahaan juga harus mengikuti perkembangan zaman agar tidak tertinggal dengan perusahaan lain. ABSTRACT Image is one of the important assets of an organization or company that must be maintained and built continuously. Corporate image is also inseparable from the role of a public relations officer. For this reason, public relations must be able to design a master plan that is considered appropriate in an effort to image the company. The purpose of this study was to find out how the master plan carried out by the PR of PT. The work of Bhakti Manunggal in Pematangsiantar City in building the company's image, both external and internal factors. The theory used to analyze this research is Bill Canton's theory. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive design. Data collection methods used in this study were interviews and observation. The results showed that the PR of PT. Karya Bhakti Manunggal Pematangsiantar City formed a digital division team. This is triggered by the development of increasingly sophisticated communication technology so that companies must also keep up with the times so as not to be left behind by other companies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa tampilan politisi perempuan dalam perspektif media massa, juga menganalisa perbedaan peliputan media massa terhadap politisi perempuan dalam perspektif gender di negara full democracy, flawed democracy, hybrid regime, dan authoritarian regime. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, maka penelitian ini didesain menggunakan Meta Analisis Kualitatif dengan pendekatan konstruktivis-interpretif. Data penelitian divalidasi dengan triangulasi data/ sumber dan dianalisis dengan tiga pendekatan yang ada di dalam konsep meta-etnografi. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan proses preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) dari tiga platform pencarian, yaitu Google Scholar, Science Direct dan Perpustakaan digital Perpusnas RI. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa media massa tradisional dan online menampilkan politisi perempuan dalam perspektif gender yang negatif, baik secara kuantitatif maupun kualitatif yang dikategorikan dalam objektifikasi, setereotip dan patriarki. Politisi perempuan juga dilemahkan oleh media massa dalam liputannya dengan kombinasi isu gender dan isu ras secara simultan. Potret politisi perempuan di negara full democracy, flawed democray, hybrid regime, dan authoritarian regime ditampilkan media massa dalam perspektif yang dominan negatif, dimana di negara full democracy dan flawed democracy dengan persentase negatif yang lebih rendah dibandingkan di negara hybrid regime dan authoritarian regime.

Abstract

In people's lives, we find various kinds of deviations that are against social norms. One of the things that are rife is the incest behavior that is found in various regions. People think that incest is a family affair and does not need to be known by other parties. The purpose of this study was to analyze public policy communication in dealing with incest. This type of research is qualitative research. The data collection technique was carried out in three stages, namely through observation, interviews, and focus group discussions. The data analysis of the research results was carried out based on the source of the interview transcription information, scanning the material, typing in the field data, or sorting and compiling the existing data, then the data was compiled based on the information source, second, reading the entire data. Then, analyze in more detail by coding-data, considering detailed instructions that can help the coding process when analyzing the existing data. Finally, describe the data findings in a narrative form. The results of this study found that the problem with incest was the lack of the government's role in public policy communication and in providing legal protection. In addition, in public policy communication to combat incest, it is necessary to exchange information and establish a two-way communication relationship between the public and the government. In the implementation of public policies carried out, the government has not been able to touch incest victims to report the events they experienced because of fear of the lack of protection for victims

Abstract

Hijrah process in Indonesia has evolved along with social media development, especially Instagram and YouTube that targetting certain generation groups. Islamic information on social media is also widely accessed by the public, especially millennial Muslims. Islamic information access is part of the look for the millennial Muslims identity in Medan, North Sumatra. This study analyzed aspects about using Islamic content, especially focusing on the Expectancy Value Model by Palmgreen about motive and media consumption satisfaction by the public. Using a phenomenological approach, the main finding of this study is that social media users access Islamic information actively based on the need for convenience in learning religion. The social media choice to access is dominated by Instagram and YouTube because they are more popular for millennial people. The look for millennial Muslim identities forms a relatively instant religious style because they position themselves more as consumers. Meanwhile, based on the value model expectation, two important things were found. First, the driving force of religious information consumption on the basis of an algorithm in which users are presented not only on the basis of searching for needs but also taken for granted that social media displays what is their consumers taste. Second, user satisfaction arises because the content that is accessed in terms of appearance, topics to diction is indeed targeting millennial Muslims who tend to be practical and ready to serve.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the communication design of bureaucratic organizations from a gender perspective in the South Tapanuli Regency Government.This research is a type of research qualitative descriptive. The data collection techniques used were observation and interviews. The results showed that: (1) the communication design of bureaucratic organizations in a gender perspective in the South Tapanuli Regency Government is structured and runs well, communication is established through programs that have been made,the regional secretary liaises with the heads of offices, the head of the office deals with staff from the district head and sub-district offices, the sub-district head with the village then the village head with the community, (2)Organizational communication is carried out in the form of meetings such as coordinating tasks to solve problems, (3) organizational communication designs in the form of written and oral regulations in implementing work programs to achieve goals, (4) work motivation, there are rewards given to employees and punishment when making mistakes and there is no difference in the treatment of attitudes and communication towards men and women, (5) the recruitment system in structural positions is based on ability, there is no nepotism and strict selection, the recruitment of honorary employees is adjusted to the needs of the field and educational background, (6) bureaucracy in a gender perspective In the South Tapanuli Regency Government there is no difference between men and women, including to become leaders and this is done democratically.
