Abstract

This study measured how well students can apply critical thinking skills when studying energy source materials in Natural Knowledge Science. In addition, research also reveals the factors that support or hinder the development of participants' critical thinking skills in the context of learning. i The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a survey approach. The research subject is 40 participants enrolled in the IV Grade of SDN Tanggul, Wonoayu District, Sidoarjo Regency, with an institution in the form of a written thesis and an interview with the IV Grade’s teachers of SDN Tanggul. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions drawn. The study results showed that, in general, the participants' ability to think critically. Interpretation indicators and analysis show more than good results compared to indicators of inference and evaluation. This indicates that the participants still have difficulties concluding and giving strong reasons to overcome their answers. The study's results also show that efforts to improve participants' critical thinking skills in the IV SDN Tanggul have been carried out but are still limited to conventional learning methods. This research suggests that teachers can use more interactive learning media and varied learning methods in learning science, especially energy source materials. Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of science learning in forming the awareness of environmental love among grade V elementary school students at SD N 118 Gresik. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive with source triangulation through observation and documentation and method triangulation through Focus Group Discussion (FGD), carried out on 20 students and homeroom teachers of grade V of SD Negeri 118 Gresik during science learning. The data analysis method goes through several stages: data reduction, data presentation, conclusion, and data verification. The study results showed that the science learning of the material "Humans and Waste" at SD Negeri 118 Gresik gave students an understanding of the types of waste, its impact on the environment, and the importance of waste management through discussions and presentations. Although students show enthusiasm, maintaining environmental cleanliness has not been fully internalized in daily practice, especially in applying the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) principle. It appears that science learning has successfully formed the awareness of environmental love among students in class V of SDN 118 Gresik.

Abstract

The increasingly difficult educational challenges and needs in today's modern world require interactive learning. The research was conducted to know students' critical thinking skills (CTS) in the kinetic gas theory material. Another goal is, as an initial observation, to develop learning methods with guided inquiry learning models assisted by android-based 3D modules in kinetic gas theory material. The research population was all class XI students at Tuban 2 Public High School in 2022/2023 as majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The research was conducted in 5 classes with the same distribution of questions and questionnaires. As secondary data, the researcher added several articles relevant to the research. The results of this study using several questions on kinetic gas theory material for class X1 were that students needed to be more able to answer each question with indicators of critical thinking. The student's obstacle in answering the questions lies in the need for more understanding of kinetic gas theory material and the not yet maximal use of the method in the current teaching and learning process. The resulting inquiry learning in the future will change the CTS of Tuban 2 Public High School students in the kinetic gas theory.

Abstract

Physics education often struggles to convey abstract concepts like static fluids, leading to low student interest and achievement. This study aims to develop an ethnophysics-based E-LKPD (Electronic Student Worksheet) that integrates physics with local culture, specifically the traditional process of making Siwalan dawet ice from Lamongan. The E-LKPD is designed to enhance learning motivation through an engaging, interactive edutainment approach. Using the ADDIE development model, only the Analyze, Design, and Development stages were conducted. This was due not only to time constraints but also because the research focused on product design and expert validation. Classroom implementation and evaluation were beyond the current research scope and are planned for future studies. Validation involved three expert lecturers who assessed presentation, content, and language using a Likert scale. Results indicated a very valid product, with an overall average score of 95.75% (presentation 91.75%, content 98.06%, language 97.22%). The E-LKPD was developed using the Liveworksheets platform, offering features like ElsQuiz, ElsAct, ElsLink, and ElsFo to promote interactivity and accessibility. Findings suggest that integrating ethnophysics and local culture into digital worksheets effectively improves student motivation in learning static fluid concepts.
