Abstract

The learning model is one way that can increase student creativity. The study aimed to describe and explain the validity of the Integrated Twin Tower (ITT) based Learn To Talk (LTT) learning model. The research method uses Educational Design Research (EDR) to develop a new product. The ITT-based LTT model was developed in order to increase students' creativity. In addition, as follow-up research from the recommendations of previous researchers. The development of this model will be used as teaching material in the classroom. Blended Web Mobile Learning (BWML) is based on the development of ITT-based LTT learning by following John Deway's line of thought. The results of the content validity of the learning model product, which include needs, novelty, theory, planning, and implementation, get an average value of 3.80; 4.00; 4.00; 4.00; and 3.50 with a very valid category. The results of construct validity, the results were obtained with valid categories for all of them. In that way, the ITT-based LTT learning model can be alternative learning to improve students' scientific creative thinking skills.

Abstract

The research aim was to develop the Volcano Project Design (VPD) for improving the physics student research skills about volcano. The method used is a qualitative analysis where the research sample involves 34 undergraduate of physics students. The instrument used in VPD was equipped with the assessment format and rubric that was developed by researchers. The instruments tools were validated by experts in the field of geoscience and volcanology. The VPD guide contains the theoretical basis of fieldwork, descriptions of activities, project themes and targets to be achieved, phases of activities, and assessment of activities in the field. In addition, in the guidelines is also equipped with a guide of proposal preparation, field report and research products. The important results showed that the physics students were succeeded in conducting volcano research using VPD. This result was supported by the capabilities to identifying some crucial problems about volcanoes, presenting some solution based on several issues that have been identified and providing an accurate explanation of volcanic phenomena. The interesting finding based on research is the students’ research product as new information in geoscience. Even though needs intensive guidance, the product has an opportunity to be published broadly. Based on students’ perception, the program succeeded to build students' scientific attitude, constructing a positive value to the environment around the volcano and perfectly prepare students to help the community in the face of volcanic disasters.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rampant degradationvalues, attitudes, and character of students, especially junior high school students; In addition, there is also the lack of science learning resources owned by students that contain character education. The reseach used research and development (Reseach and Development / R & D) with the ADDIE approach, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Data analysis was carried out by qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The data analysis carried out is numerical (quantitative) and descriptive (qualitative) data. Numerical data (quantitative) in the form of numbers obtained from validators and student response questionnaires. While descriptive data (qualitative) in the form of suggestions/comments given by the validator during the validation process and students during the small-scale and large-scale test processes both written and unwritten. The results obtained from research that has been carried out in MTs are as follows. First, the level of validity of the science module based on the meaning learning model of 5 expert validators, namely 2 material experts 86.58%, 2 education experts 83.77%, and 1 science teacher 78.04%, an average of 82.79% in the very category. valid/usable without revision. Second, the response of students to the science module based on the meaning learning model with the results of the small group trial getting an average of 76.8% with the attractive/agree category with the number of students 5, then in the large group trial it got an average of 77,84% with the attractive/agree category with the number of students 30. The results of this study show that this module shows an increase in positive response and can be used as a learning material independently by students.

Abstract

This research aimed to obtain the profile of students' critical thinking skills and the implementation of PBLRQA based on blended learning in high school. This research is a descriptive preliminary study with a saturated sampling technique was taken by 123 students. The method of gathering information with a used a written test, response questionnaire students, and teacher interviews. The analysis was conducted using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The result showed that critical thinking skills in the very low category. With the acquisitions of the very low category as many as namely 110 students, the low category as many as 12 students being low, the medium category as many as and 1 student, but in the high and very high categories there are no students who achieve it. The research of the study concluded that the students generally in low critical thinking skills, so it is necessary to change the learning model to improve critical thinking skills, namely by the implementation of PBLRQA based on blended learning.

Abstract

Banyak guru di SMP Kabupaten Nganjuk yang mengalami kesulitan untuk kenaikan pangkat sebab ada persyaratan menulis artikel ilmiah. Peraturan Menteri Negara Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi Nomor 16 Tahun 2009 tentang Jabatan Fungsional Guru dan Angka Kreditnya mensyaratkan untuk mendapat kenaikan pangkat harus memiliki artikel publikasi ilmiah. Pada praktiknya para guru di SMP Kabupaten Nganjuk masih mengalami kesulitan dan belum produktif untuk menulis karya dalam bentuk artikel ilmiah yang berkualitas. Gugus Kerjasama, Publikasi, dan Internasionalisasi (KPI) Pascasarjana Univeristas Negeri Surabaya menjadikan permasalahan tersebut sebagai dasar urgensi pelaksanaan Kegiatan Workshop Penulisan Artikel Publikasi Ilmiah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kontribusi positif dan nyata kepada guru SMP di Kabupaten Nganjuk. Kegiatan tersebut meliputi identifikasi masalah, penulisan artikel ilmiah, praktek mendeley, submit artikel pada jurnal online dan pengisian angket responden. Hasil kegiatan yang diselenggarakan menunjukkan bahwa respon peserta pelatihan selama mengikuti workshop penulisan artikel publikasi ilmiah menunjukkan reaksi yang positif. Penyajian materi oleh tim dalam workshop, kualitas narasumber, dan kualitas pelaksanaan pelatihan menunjukkan respon yang baik dari peserta pelatihan. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan ini dapat meningkatkan kualitas publikasi guru. Perlu pelatihan berkelanjutan yang sejenis dalam rangka meningkatkan pemahaman guru tentang penulisan artikel ilmiah di masa mendatang. Scientific Publication Article Writing Workshop for Nganjuk Middle School Teachers: To Improve the Quality of Teacher Publications Many teachers at the Nganjuk Junior High School have difficulty getting promoted because there is a requirement to write scientific articles. Regulation of the Minister of State for the Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform No. 16 of 2009 concerning Teacher Functional Positions and Credit Scores requires that to get a promotion one must have scientific publication articles. In practice, teachers at SMP Nganjuk Regency still have difficulty and are not yet productive to write works in the form of quality scientific articles. The Postgraduate Cooperation, Publication, and Internationalization (KPI) Group at the State University of Surabaya made this problem the basis for the urgency of implementing the Scientific Publication Article Writing Workshop Activities. This activity aims to make a positive and tangible contribution to junior high school teachers in Nganjuk Regency. These activities include problem identification, scientific article writing, Mendeley practice, submitting articles to online journals and filling out respondent questionnaires. The results of the activities carried out showed that the response of the training participants during the workshop on writing scientific publication articles showed a positive reaction. The presentation of material by the team in the workshop, the quality of the resource persons, and the quality of the training implementation showed a good response from the training participants. Based on the results of these activities, it can be concluded that this training can improve the quality of teacher publications. Similar continuous training is needed in order to improve teachers' understanding of writing scientific articles in the future.

Abstract

Banyak guru kini terdorong oleh kewajiban menerbitkan karya ilmiah untuk memperjuangkan kenaikan pangkat, khususnya di Trenggalek. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilaksanakan sebagai solusi atas permasalahan tersebut oleh mitra yang telah terbukti efektif dalam memberikan pelatihan penulisan artikel ilmiah/akademik kepada para pendidik guru khususnya di Kabupaten Trenggalek. PKM ini akan meningkatkan keterampilan maupun kemampuan para guru penggerak agar semakin terlihat dan akan berdampak positif langsung terhadap peningkatan kualitas pengajar di Provinsi Trenggalek khususnya penulisan ilmiah. Currently, especially in Trenggalek province, many motivated teachers need help to get promoted due to the obligation to publish academic papers. These findings reveal that teachers lack the knowledge and competence to prepare for scientific work. This community service activity was carried out as a solution to the problem of partners who have proven effective in providing training in writing scientific articles for teacher educators, especially in the Trenggalek Regency. This PKM will make the achievements of driving instructors more visible and will positively impact improving the quality of instructors in Trenggalek, especially in scientific writing.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the physics PSS profile of high school students and the implementation of the AR book-assisted PBL model as a consideration in the use of media and learning models to support the high school students' PSS improvement. This is preliminary descriptive research without hypothesis testing with 154 high school students as participants. Descriptive methods of qualitative approach is employed to analyze through questionnaires and tests of assessment about PSS. This study revealed that the students’ PSS is still in the low level. This is evidenced by the students’ results of low category with a score range within 0 to 50. This study also found that students' interest in learning physics with AR (Augmented Reality) books-assisted have improved their PSS. It is concluded that the learning methods, as well as learning media, can affect students' PSS.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of inquest model learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research method reviewed literature and research articles as many as 15 articles that met the criteria both nationally and internationally which included inquiry models and physics learning when the pandemic was used in this research. Data collection is done indirectly and in the form of secondary data. The results showed that 1) The application of the inquiry learning model during the COVID-19 pandemic in improving students' understanding and critical and creative thinking skills increased significantly. 2) The use of online learning tools based on inquiry learning models shows an increase in students' understanding of concepts and critical thinking skills. 3) Online learning tools are categorized as feasible for use in physics learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. 4) It takes a long time to implement the inquiry learning model as long as online learning media, especially e-modules, have not met the demands of 21st century learning

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the profile of the Problem Based Learning Model in Physics learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The research method used is literature study or literature study. The data collection technique used is to look for relevant journals that will be used as references, The journals analyzed were 32 journals, most of which were reputable international journals and journals published in the range of 2020-2022, because at that time the Covid-19 pandemic occurred in Indonesia. From the results of research that has been carried out learning physics during this pandemic has quite an impact on student learning outcomes. In physics lessons, many students experience misconceptions, do not understand physics concepts and their enthusiasm for learning decreases. One model that may be relevant during the COVID-19 pandemic is the model discussed in this study, namely Problem Based Learning. It is proven that the Problem Based Learning model in physics learning during the covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia is effectively used in improving students' problem solving abilities, critical thinking, creative thinking, and student argumentation. Even though there are some obstacles such as the uneven internet in Indonesia which prevents them from accessing the materials. And also still need relevant teaching materials and learning tools during the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the learning of physics in indoor games at Transmart Surabaya. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely by using a documentation study. The target of this research is a modern game that applies the concept of physics contained in the Studio Mini Transmart Surabaya. The method of data collection carried out in this study used the observation method. In this study, it was concluded that some of the games contained in Trans Studio Mini Transmart Rungkut, Surabaya, namely roller coaster games, new york (rotating swing), sky rider, mini electric car, mini train, and bumper car applied several physics concepts. The roller coaster game applies the concept of mechanical energy. In the new york game, the physics concept is applied, namely the concept of rotational motion and harmonic motion. In the game sky rider applies the concept of physics, namely the force of gravity, rotational and circular motion and the moment of inertia. In the mini electric car game, the concept of physics is applied, namely the concept of displacement, velocity, acceleration and friction. In the mini train game, the physics concept is applied, namely acceleration and friction. As well as in the bumper car game applying the concepts of physics, namely acceleration, collision and the law of conservation of momentum.
