Abstract

This study aims to find out the most frequent errors students make in writing recount texts. This study used a descriptive method with quantitative data analysis techniques to answer the questions posed. The scope of this research is limited to the grammatical analysis and writing mechanism of the components of the fourth recount text written by third year students of UMS Rappang. These errors are classified into six categories: errors in the use of verb forms; thr use of the article; use of prepositions; noun pluralization; use of pronouns; use of conjunctions. The findings of the study showed that the most frequent errors students made were in the use of verb forms, punctuation marks, prepositions, nouns, articles and pronouns. It can be concluded that students have not mastered grammar well. They face many problems in English in general and in writing English in particular.

Abstract

Abstract. This community service activity was conducted in the form of a training titled “Museum as a Source of History Learning,” held at SMA Negeri 3 Kota Palu. The training aimed to enhance the understanding and awareness of teachers and students regarding the important role of museums as dynamic, interactive, and contextual sources for learning history. The program emphasized empowering teachers to utilize museums effectively as educational media and encouraged innovative teaching approaches aligned with advances in science and technology. The training content covered the function of museums as spaces for preserving historical and cultural heritage. Additionally, participants were introduced to specialized material on the biodiversity of Central Sulawesi, with a focus on endemic fauna from Lore Lindu National Park, such as anoa, babirusa, tarsier, and maleo birds. This broadened the students' perspectives beyond human history to include natural history and the significance of environmental conservation. The training was implemented in four stages: preparation, activities, execution, and evaluation, which included pre-tests, post-tests, and reflection to assess the effectiveness of the program and improve future learning processes. This initiative is expected to contribute significantly to improving the quality of history education while supporting cultural and environmental preservation in Central Sulawesi. Abstrak. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan yang berjudul “Museum sebagai Sumber Pembelajaran Sejarah,” yang diselenggarakan di SMA Negeri 3 Kota Palu. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran guru serta siswa mengenai peran penting museum sebagai sumber pembelajaran sejarah yang dinamis, interaktif, dan kontekstual. Program ini menekankan pemberdayaan guru untuk memanfaatkan museum secara efektif sebagai media pendidikan dan mendorong pendekatan pengajaran yang inovatif sesuai dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Materi pelatihan mencakup fungsi museum sebagai ruang untuk melestarikan warisan sejarah dan budaya. Selain itu, peserta diperkenalkan dengan materi khusus tentang keanekaragaman hayati Sulawesi Tengah, dengan fokus pada fauna endemik dari Taman Nasional Lore Lindu, seperti anoa, babirusa, tarsius, dan burung maleo. Hal ini memperluas perspektif siswa tidak hanya pada sejarah manusia tetapi juga sejarah alam dan pentingnya pelestarian lingkungan. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam empat tahap: persiapan, kegiatan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi, yang mencakup pre-test, post-test, dan refleksi untuk menilai efektivitas program serta meningkatkan proses pembelajaran di masa depan. Inisiatif ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan sejarah sekaligus mendukung pelestarian budaya dan lingkungan di Sulawesi Tengah.

Abstract

The research was aimed at determining how was application of word attack strategy impacts on students' reading comprehension skills in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Enrekang. The background of this research was based on the preliminary observation which showed that many students had difficulty in understanding English reading texts. This was due to limited vocabulary and less effective learning approaches to help students read better. This research applied quasi-experimental method with pretest-posttest control group design. The populations of the research were all VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Enrekang. The sampling was taken by simple random sampling technique. Based on the pretest results, the mean value was 47 for the experimental group and 40 for the control group. After giving treatment in the form of applying the Word Attack strategy, the mean value of the experimental group increased to 80, while the control group increased to 53. To test the hypothesis, the data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The result showed significance value of 0.000, which indicated that the Word Attack strategy had a significant effects on the students’ reading ability of grade VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Enrekang. It is therefore, it could be determined that the Word Attack strategy was effective in enhancing students' reading ability.

Abstract

Banjir merupakan suatu kejadian yang ditandai dengan naiknya muka air melebihi volume tampung air semisal sungai atau saluran air. Adapun banjir itu sering terjadi salah satunya di Indonesia karena Indonesia merupakan Negara tropis dan beberapa daerah pun juga air resapan sudah mulai berkurang. Dalam penelitian ini diselesaikan dari model matematika aliran banjir pada persamaan saint venant menggunakan metode Beda Hingga. Adapun hasil penelitian didapatkan suatu ketidakstabilan banjir yaitu dengandihasilkannya grafik yang yang terbentuk tidak menuju satu garis y artinya tidak menuju satu titik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media Ludo dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPA kelas V MI Nurul Yaqin Lompo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain pre-experiment, khususnya one group pretest-posttest design. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah MI Nurul Yaqin Lompo, Kabupaten Bone. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V MI Nurul Yaqin Lompo yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media Ludo efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPA. Hal ini dapat dilihat berdasarkan pada Uji Paired Sample T-Test dengan menggunakan bantuan pengolahan data SPSS Versi 22. Dari hasil penelitian, diperoleh nilai signifikan (2-tailed) sebesar 0.000 < 0.05. Dengan demikian, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Ludo efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V MI Nurul Yaqin Lompo, Kabupaten Bone.

Abstract

Mata kuliah Psikolinguistik seharusnya mendapatkan perhatian yang lebih bagi prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab karena dengan psikolinguistik sebagai guru ataupun dosen bahasa Arab dapat memanfaatkan bagaimana mengajar bahasa Arab dengan baik dan melihat psikologi anak didik. Hasil penelitian pakar psikolinguistik dapat digunakan dalam memahami pemerolehan bahasa pertama maupun dalam pembelajaran bahasa kedua atau bahasa asing. Pasalnya, ruang lingkup kajian psikolinguistik sangat bermanfaat bagi pembelajaran bahasa. Di dalam kurikulum pendidikan bahasa Arab, mata kuliah psikolinguistik dimasukkan dalam kelompok mata kuliah proses belajar-mengajar, bukan pada kelompok mata kuliah linguistik/kebahasaan. Hal ini karena pokok bahasan dalam psikolinguistik sangat erat kaitannya dengan kegiatan proses belajar mengajar bahasa itu. ketika teori pemerolehan bahasa pertama dan kedua atau bahasa asing sudah diketahui untuk mengajarkan bahasa diharapkan tidak ada problem yang sulit ketika dalam proses mengajar. Makanya tidaklah berlebihan jika mengatakan psikolinguistik itu sangat berguna bagi mahasiswa PBA.Kata kunci: Psikolinguistik, bahasa pertama, bahasa kedua

Abstract

Ablution is a process of cleanliness carried out by a person to wash the parts of the body that have been determined. Wudhu itself consists of two aspects of cleanliness; namely cleanliness related to the physical aspect and the inner aspect caused by the effect of wudhu on humans in the form of cleansing from mistakes and sins committed by the members of the body. The formulation of the problem of this study is “Why most children in the Al-Jihad Mosque neighborhood cannot perform wudu perfectly?” This activity aims to “carry out guidance for children in the Al-Jihad Mosque neighborhood so that they can perform wudu perfectly”. The assistance and training program prepared is an aspect of the field of community service, therefore the method used in the implementation of ablution training for children in the Al-Jihad Mosque Environment, Kubang Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The results of community service activities carried out on Sunday Date, November 03, 2024 followed by children in the Al-Jihad Mosque environment are in accordance with the planned targets. Conclusion Based on the results of the activities of assisting the practice of ablution for children in the Al-Jihad Mosque Environment, Kubang Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, they were very enthusiastic in participating in all stages of this community service activity and the opening of insights and scientific treasures of children in the al-Jihad Mosque environment according to the results of the community service activities.

Abstract

Qurban is an act of worship performed continuously by the Muslim community; the process is similar to the Hajj. Every Muslim who has money slaughters Qurban animals almost every year, either individually or in groups, organized by the general public, private institutions, and the government. In Islam, Qurban is a very important way to show devotion to Allah. The formulation of the problem in this service, is “Why does the implementation of Qurban always bring up problems that continue to recur every year?” While the purpose of this service is to “carry out guidance and equalize views among participants and Qurban committees in the Al-Jihad Mosque environment”. In implementing this counseling guidance, using a qualitative descriptive method, the subject of this service is Guidance on the Implementation of Qurban Worship for Participants and Committees in the Al-Jihad Mosque Environment 1446 H. / 2025 AD. Kubang Jaya Village, Siakhulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The results of the guidance are as follows: 1. Qurban participants and worshipers in general still do not understand in detail about the procedures for implementing Qurban worship. 2. The tendency of the committee members to still expect wages from meat in return for their work to help the process of implementing the Qurban worship. 2. There are still many assumptions in the community that non-Muslims should not be given Qurban meat.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop a mindfulness intervention guide and test the effectiveness of implementing the mindfulness intervention guide as an effort to optimize self-love to maintain college students' mental health. The research method was the research and development model. This research and development procedure includes 1) the preparation stage, 2) the implementation stage, namely preparing a product draft, and 3) product testing, product validation, and preparation of the final product. This product was tested and validated by a team of experts in the field of psychology. In the implementation phase of the mindfulness intervention guide, the researchers assessed the respondents' mental health before and after administering the mindfulness intervention. Research data was analyzed descriptively, quantitatively, and qualitatively. This research showed that the intervention guide had been developed validly regarding usefulness, accuracy, suitability, and ease of guidance in implementing college student mindfulness interventions. This study also showed increased mental health levels in college students after providing mindfulness intervention to optimize self-love to maintain students' mental health. This research implied that lecturers and college students could use this mindfulness intervention guide for optimizing self-love on a limited basis to maintain daily mental health. Apart from that, this intervention guide can also be widely used by various practitioners in the mental health field, such as psychologists, counselors, guidance and counseling teachers, and social workers.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the learning of traditional local theater using the demonstration method in class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Ramang Dangku. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research method using one teacher, namely Mr. Ade Setiawan S. Pd as one of the class X cultural arts teachers and also 10 students consisting of 5 male students and also 5 female students. Based on the results of the study, shows that traditional theater learning using the demonstration method can run wellcompared to the lecture method. This can increase the enthusiasm of students to learn well.
