Abstract

The development of speaking and listening skills in early childhood is crucial for cognitive and social growth. Big book media, with its large visualizations and interactive narratives, serves as an effective tool for engaging young learners in language development. This study explores the role of big book media in enhancing speaking and listening skills, identifying both opportunities and challenges in its implementation. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by the PRISMA method, 12 relevant articles published between 2019 and 2024 were analyzed. A qualitative thematic analysis was conducted, applying strict inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure research alignment. Findings indicate that big book media fosters engagement, encourages participation in discussions, enhances speaking confidence, and improves comprehension through visual storytelling. However, challenges such as insufficient teacher training, a lack of culturally relevant materials, and limited resources restrict its widespread use. In conclusion, while big book media is a valuable tool for early language development, addressing these challenges is essential to maximize its effectiveness in diverse educational settings

Abstract

The present study elaborates on the process of collaborative scriptwriting for drama and the implementation of virtual platforms for theatrical performances. The qualitative design approach was used to provide a detailed explanation of how the virtual drama performance about The Spread of Islam in the 16th Century by Ratu Bagus Kuning was rehearsed and recorded. The subject of the study was 18 graduate school students who took the Appreciation and Literature Teaching course in a Graduate School of English Education at a state university in Indonesia. The data obtained from observation, interview, and documentation were analyzed by utilizing a thematic process. The result of the study reveals two main findings: it emphasizes innovative scriptwriting and video presentation in virtual educational drama, and it also shows the communication, cooperation, critical thinking, and creativity involved in writing drama scripts and performing virtually. The study highlights the process of collaborative drama script writing, focusing on Palembangs heroic tale of Ratu Bagus Kuning. Using the universitys LMS for dialogues, research, and creative collaboration, students prepared for a virtual drama performance. They paired up to draft scenes, actively applying 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking and creativity. Peer feedback and revisions improved script quality. Despite continuity issues and technical constraints, students showed resilience and adaptability. Rehearsals and the final virtual performance demonstrated their dedication and innovation. The integration of technology and cultural sensitivity highlighted virtual dramas transformative potential, emphasizing communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescent health education is essential for promoting long-term well-being, yet many students lack access to effective and engaging learning approaches. This study evaluates the impact of structured teacher training combined with edutainment-based interventions on improving adolescent health knowledge and behavioral intentions using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) in Malang Regency, Indonesia. Methods: A quantitative pre-experimental design was used with a pre-test–intervention–post-test structure. The study involved 22 teachers from five schools and 56 junior high school students from SMPN 1 Kepanjen, Malang. The intervention included comprehensive teacher training and interactive edutainment sessions for students, covering topics such as adolescent characteristics, physical activity, assertive communication, and time management. Knowledge changes were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Results: The intervention significantly increased knowledge in both groups. Students' average scores improved from 73.2 (pre-test) to 84.4 (post-test) (p < 0.001), while teachers’ scores increased from 69 to 83.4 (p < 0.001). However, no significant changes were observed in students' subjective norms, behavioral control, or behavioral intentions. Conclusion: Combining structured teacher training with edutainment is an effective strategy for enhancing adolescent health knowledge. This approach provides a scalable model for improving health literacy, though further efforts are needed to influence behavioral intentions and self-efficacy.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescents experience significant physical changes during puberty; however, many lack adequate knowledge regarding menstrual hygiene management. This knowledge gap can lead to negative health outcomes. The OKY application is a menstrual tracker that also provides an encyclopedia on puberty and menstrual hygiene, and offers valuable educational resources. Despite its potential, the application remains underutilized by adolescents. This study aims to analyze the relationship between technology acceptance variables and the use of the OKY application among junior high school students. Methods: This study employed a cross-sectional design. Data were collected from 72 female junior high school students who had been introduced to the OKY application. Participants were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was utilized to assess user perceptions through a structured questionnaire. TAM was utilized innovatively to assess students' perceptions of the application's ease of use, usefulness, and intention to use through a structured questionnaire specifically tailored for this educational setting. Data analysis was conducted using the Spearman correlation test to evaluate relationships among variables. Instrument validation and ethical approval were secured in accordance with research ethics guidelines. Result: The study revealed a strong correlation between knowledge, skill, and curiosity with perceived usefulness of the OKY application. Furthermore, significant relationships were identified between perceived ease of use, attitude toward using, behavioral intention, and actual system use. These findings indicate that both cognitive and affective factors influence the adoption of the application. Conclusion: To enhance the adoption and effective use of the OKY application for menstrual hygiene management, it is recommended to strengthen socialization initiatives and implement peer counseling programs. Such interventions may support increased awareness, acceptance, and consistent use of the application among adolescents.

Abstract

DANA is one of the most popular digital wallets in Indonesia. In accordance with the survei results in Lhokseumawe City, it was recorded that the number of DANA users was greater than other digital wallets. Therefore, researchers evaluate the level of satisfaction of DANA application users in the city and identify the factors that influence it using the EUCS method. EUCS is a technique for assessing the comparison between expectations and reality of an information system application to determine the level of user satisfaction with five independent variables, namely content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness, and the dependent variable is user satisfaction. The population of this research is people who live in Lhokseumawe City, with a sample of 349 respondents collected through questionnaires. From the results of data analysis using SPSS, four variables were found to affect the satisfaction of DANA digital wallet users in Lhokseumawe City, namely the content variable, format, ease of use, and timeliness. However, there is one variable that has no effect, namely the accuracy variable. However, there is one variable that has no effect, namely the accuracy variable. Based on the results of the analysis of the level of user satisfaction, the average number of overall user satisfaction level values on each variable is 3.984 and is included in the satisfied category, so it can be concluded that users are satisfied in using the DANA digital wallet application
