Abstract

This study aims to describe the contributions of leadership and supervision by the school principal in enhancing the professionalism of elementary school teachers. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subjects of this study are the principal and teachers of SDN 01 Wonokeling, Jatiyoso, Karanganyar. Data were collected through several techniques, including in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The leadership style of the principal at SDN 01 Wonokeling, Jatiyoso, Karanganyar in enhancing teacher professionalism is democratic, where the leader views teachers as partners who can contribute, is open to suggestions and criticism, and fosters a harmonious working team. The principal's supervision in enhancing teacher professionalism is collaborative, where the principal and teachers share responsibilities and provide suggestions and ideas to improve teacher professionalism and education quality.

Abstract

The need for digital innovation in the educational paradigm is increasingly clear after the Covid-19 phenomenon. This has also been strengthened by government policies in responding to this need, by launching “kurikulum merdeka” that demands the use of “merdeka mengajar” platform with all its characteristics. The concept of digital learning with a variety of devices is offered. SMP Islam Al Azhar 21 Solo Baru has implemented a program that is quite progressive in an effort to find an education digitalization system. It is in the form of digital class services, which can be used as an option for students and parents to carry out all digital-based and e-learning activities. Furthermore, the digital system used is relatively new and not many are used in Indonesia. The use of iPad 1:1 (every 1 student uses 1 iPad) as the main device with various Apple for education applications integrated in it. Regarding to this implementation, there is an interest from the researcher for further research related to its implementation. This type of research is descriptive qualitative which reports on how the school’s role in implementing iPad and its functions and contributions to classroom learning. The description regarding this matter was developed based on the results of semi-structured interviews and non-participant observations to see how this implementation could be carried out. Student group interviews were also used to support the findings. The result is an overview of the iPad-based digital classroom implementation starting from the initial ideas, the stages and steps of implementation, the perceptions of students and teachers, and the evaluation of those implementation. On the other hand, the main challenge lies in the relatively high budget requirements, and parents' doubts about the bad consequences of excessive iPad use, both in terms of health and social behavior

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of academic supervision by the principal in developing the professional competence of teachers at elementary school. This research uses a case study method. The subjects or respondents of this study are the principal and teachers of SDN 03 Wukirsawit, Jatiyoso, Karanganyar. The types of data include results from observations, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation. The data analysis technique used is interactive analysis, which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the principal has designed a systematic classroom observation program, including preparation, implementation, and discussion of observation results; (2) the implementation of supervision involves assessments through pre-observation, observation, and post-observation; (3) the results of the supervision are analyzed to identify the weaknesses and strengths of the teachers; (4) principles such as practicality, objectivity, cooperation, family-like atmosphere, democracy, comprehensiveness, and continuity have been applied by the principal.

Abstract

Excellent schools are schools that are in great demand by parents, to make this happen, a good strategy is needed. The principal at SD Muhammadiyah Nurul 'Ilmi created a superior program to attract parents' interest. The aim of this research is to describe the strategies implemented by school principals in creating superior schools at the Muhammadiyah Nurul 'Ilmi Elementary School, Karangdowo , Klaten . This research uses a qualitative approach to reveal events with a thorough explanation of what they are. The research design used is ethnography. Ethnographic research is a genre of qualitative research, developed from anthropological methodology. The research was conducted at Muhammadiyah Nurul 'ilmi Elementary School with the research subject being the school principal. The validity of the data in this research uses triangulation. The principal's strategy in creating a superior school at the Muhammadiyah Nurul 'ilmi Elementary School, Karangdowo , Klaten includes: Developing a school plan to the maximum, analyzing the obstacles, challenges and future opportunities that will be faced. Increasing the effectiveness of learning, by supervising the school principal and implementing appropriate learning strategies and methods. Improving the quality of teachers by participating in KKG, seminars and continuing education to the next level. Improvement Program in the Field of Student Development, through extracurricular activities that facilitate students' talents and interests. Establish relationships with parents, stakeholders and the surrounding community to increase cooperation and foster good relationships.

Abstract

Rendahnya kinerja guru dalam proses pembelajaran berdampak signifikan pada kualitas pendidikan yang diterima siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung di sekolah, mengidentifikasi upaya yang dilakukan guru dan pihak sekolah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran serta menganalisis hasil dari penerapan supervisi kelas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara, observasi dan analisis dokumen. Penelitian ini melibatkan partisipasi aktif guru, kepala sekolah dan pihak sekolah dalam rangka mendpatkan pemahaman mendalam mengenai implementasi supervisi kelas Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi kelas secara sistematis dan kolaboratif berhasil meningkatkan kinerja guru. Berbagai upaya peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran yang teridentifikasi mencakup peningkatan proses pembelajaran, penilaian dan kedisiplinan guru dalam melaksanakan.  Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kinerja guru merupakan faktor kunci meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, dan upaya perbaikan harus berfokus pada pengembangan profesionalme serta dukungan dari pihak sekolah untuk mencapai hasil yang optimal.

Abstract

Improvement of academic achievement is the main factor in improving the quality of education in University of Purwokerto City . This study aims to empirically examine how soft skills training and academic resilience affect student academic achievement in higher education with social recognition theory.  The use of the method uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The distribution of the questionnaire was carried out openly during the training of 461 students who were studying in the 2nd semester at university. Analysis using Smart-PLS (Partial Least Squares). As a result, soft skill training had a significant influence on student academic achievement (accepted) with p-values (0.000 > 0.05). Resilience had a negligible influence on students' academic achievement based on p-values (0.708 < 0.05). This research contributes to universities to provide support for improving student achievement by supporting student skills and universities need to pay attention to the level of resilience so that students are ready to face difficulties in the future. Abstract

Disiplin positif menjadi salah satu aspek dalam kurikulum Merdeka yang diimplementasikan pada Sekolah Penggerak. Implementasi disiplin positif di institusi pendidikan di Indonesia menarik untuk dilihat mengingat tujuan besarnya pada transformasi pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi disiplin positif di Sekolah Penggerak yang mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus digunakan pada penelitian ini. Tempat penelitian yaitu SMAN 1 Banjarnegara yang memasuki tahun kedua dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, Focus Group Discussion dan observasi. Informan dalam penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru komite pembelajaran, guru bimbingan konseling, serta siswa. Temuan dalam penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlu adanya kesepakatan bersama antara warga sekolah yang dibangun terlebih dahulu. Peran kepala sekolah dan guru komite sangat penting dalam memastikan disiplin positif dijalankan di sekolah. Bentuk praktik baik yang bisa diimplementasikan di sekolah juga dibahas dalam temuan penellitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini memiliki kebaruan dalam implementasi disiplin positif pada Kurikulum Merdeka di Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pembentukan pendidikan karakter berorientasi HOTS di sekolah dasar merupakan gebrakan baru dalam mengembangkan karakter siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membentuk karakter siswa dan membentuk siswa berpikir tingkat tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan pendidikan karakter siswa berorientasi HOTS dapat dilaksanakan sesuai dengan target capaian pembelajaran. Nilai karakter yang dibentuk yaitu nilai displin, religius, tanggungjawab, dan jujur. Pembentukan ini melalui integrasi pendidikan karakter berorientasi HOTS dalam proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas dan diluar kelas. Integrasi di dalam kelas yaitu dengan mengintegrasikan pendidikan berorientasi HOTS dalam RPP dan di laksanakan selama pembelajaran sedangkan intergasi diluar kelas yaitu dengan pembiasan nilai karakter religius dengan sholat dhuha, pembiasaan nilai karakter disiplin  datang tepat waktu ke sekolah, penanaman nilai karakter tanggungjawab dalam kepengurusan kelas, dan nilai karakter jujur dengan menulis kegiatan keseharian siswa dalam buku “mathur jujur”. Kata Kunci: Karakter, HOTS, Sekolah Dasar Abstract: The formation of character education-oriented HOTS in elementary school is a new breakthrough in developing the character of students. The purpose of this study is to form the character of students and shaping the students ' high level thinking. This research is a descriptive research using a qualitative approach. Data collection through interview, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the formation of character education student-oriented HOTS can be implemented in accordance with the target learning outcomes. The value of the characters that formed the values of discipline, religious, responsible, and honest. The formation of this through the integration of character education-oriented HOTS in the learning process in the classroom and outside the classroom. Integration in the classroom by integrating the education-oriented HOTS in LESSON plans and implemented during the learning while the intergasi outside the classroom, i.e. with a refraction value of a religious character with sholat dhuha, habituation character value of discipline come to school on time, planting the character value of responsibility in the management of the class, and the value of honest character by writing daily activities of the students in the book “Mathur Jujur” Keywords: Character, HOTS, Elementary School

Abstract

This study aims to explain the program implemented to improve students' literacy and numeracy skills at SMP Negeri 3 Gondangrejo. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data obtained came from the implementation of the program to improve literacy and numeracy skills. The data collection process was done through observation and documentation. The results show that literacy and numeracy skills are very important for students to master since primary and secondary school levels, so that they can more easily understand the subject matter and as preparation for continuing education to a higher level. The programs implemented to improve these skills include book swap party, literacy day, reading corner, mathventure, science art project, library revitalization program, school mading, reuse art, smart learning workshop, and socialization of the three big sins in education.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of student activities, school climate, and learning media on the quality of learning in economics subjects. In this context, survey research is used through multiple regression analysis conducted on high school students with a sample of 226 people. Meanwhile, the sample drawing method adopts a simple random sampling. The results show that 86.1% of the variation in the social character of students can be explained by learning quality, while the difference from 100%-86.1% is obtained from external factors. The variables of school climate, learning media, and student activity have a beta coefficient of 0.423, 0.74, and 0.32, respectively.
