Abstract

The implementation of pharmaceutical services in pharmacies must guarantee the availability of pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices and consumable medical materials that are safe, of good quality, useful and affordable. Therefore, pharmacists must understand and be aware of the possibility of errors in the management of pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices and consumable medical materials in pharmacies. This study aims to describe and evaluate the management of pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices, and medical consumables at the Chrysto Pharmacy, Banggai Regency. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach using interviews, observation, and document review. The results of the study indicate that there are still several activities that have not been carried out, especially in planning activities that are still not optimal which results in frequent drug stock vacancies. Abstract

The prevalence of hypertension sufferers in Indonesia and even in the world continues to increase, causing an crease in the number of prescriptions for antihypertensive meds in hospitals and also the possibility of an increase in errors in prescribing antihypertensive cure This study aims to examine the completeness of antihypertensive as medicine prescriptions including administrative reviews, pharmaceutical studies, and clinical studies in outpatients from October to December 2022 at the Lapatarai Hospital, Barru District. The method in this research is descriptive with the type of research retrospective. From this study, it was found that there were 99 prescription sheets containing antihypertensive meds. The results of the assessment of the study showed that 100% of the prescriptions did not include the patient's address, the patient's weight, the patient's height, the patient's allergy history and the doctor's SIP number. In the pharmaceutical study, it was found that 100% of the prescriptions wrote down the dosage form, dosage strength, and instructions for using the medicine. With the majority of antihypertensive meds prescribed in tablet dosage forms. In terms of clinical requirements, it was found that the prescriptions were not duplicated and there were 95,38% of prescriptions that had conection between antihypertensive as medicine recipe and other meds supplies. The results of this study show a discrepancy between the review profile of antihypertensive as medicine recipe at the Lapatarai general hospital by standard regulations in Indonesia.

Abstract

Hospital Pharmacy Installation (IFRS) is a functional implementing unit organizes all pharmaceutical service activities in hospitals, which functions to carry out the management of pharmaceutical supplies with the stages of selecting, planning, procuring, storing, distributing, controlling, deleting, recording and reporting. This study aims to determine the stages of management of pharmaceutical supplies in West Sulawesi Provincial Hospital using descriptive qualitative research through interviews and observation (observation). In this study guided interviews that have been arranged systematically using a check list. The results of this study reveal that the management of pharmaceutical preparations in the Pharmacy Installation of the West Sulawesi Provincial Hospital has been effective and efficient from several aspects of management which shows a percentage of 80-100%. However, the procurement and storage aspect are still inefficient because the expenditure has not gone through the e-catalog and there is no fire extinguisher. The drug management system at the Pharmacy Installation of the West Sulawesi Provincial Hospital is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 72 of 2016 and Technical Guidelines for Pharmaceutical Standards in Hospitals in 2019.

Abstract

Tablets are pharmaceutical preparations that are most widely used by the public compared to other pharmaceutical preparations. One type of tablet is lozenges which are solid preparations containing one or more medicinal ingredients, generally with flavorful and sweet ingredients, which can make the tablet dissolve or disintegrate slowly in the mouth. Polyvinyl pyrylone K-30 (PVP K-30) binder has an advantage over other binders, as it can increase the hardness of tablets, making tablets a compact preparation. Arabic gum also has good flow properties, pharmacologically inert, has good compressibility and compactness. The purpose of the review is to determine the pharmaceutical properties of herbal lozenges that use PVP K-30 and Arabic gum as binders. The method used in reviewing this review is an electronic literature study by accessing journal search sites related to the keyword " PVP K-30 lozenges and gum arabic lozenges". Binder material as one of the ingredients needed in lozenges because the binder can determine the level of hardness, brittleness and destruction time of lozenges. PVP binders and gum arabic are examples of binders that have good flow properties and stationary angles, and for hardness PVP tablets are good binders, but if the concentration used is high then the brittleness level is reduced.

Abstract

For students to be able to compete and overcome challenges in the future, critical thinking is essential. The study’s descriptive methodology aims to describe the students’ critical thinking abilities. Every high school in a South Sulawesi district made up the research population. Based on school accreditation, with the use of a proportionate stratified random sampling technique, 150 students were chosen to comprise the research sample. The test instrument used is an essay distributed online. The indicators for the description questions are interpretation, analysis, and interpretation thinking skills. According to the study’s findings, students’ critical thinking abilities in static fluid material have an average score in the medium category of 73.09. In terms of school accreditation, students' physics critical thinking abilities average 73.87 for schools with A accreditation, 72.43 for schools with B accreditation, and 68.47 for schools with C accreditation. The percentage of each indicator of critical thinking skills is 34.58 in inference, 33.70 in analysis, and 31.71 in interpretation. It is anticipated that this study will give a broad picture of students’ critical thinking competencies for teachers to choose and implement the most suitable stimulus to aid students in developing their critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

Virtual laboratories have emerged as innovative solutions in education, particularly in overcoming the limitations of physical laboratory infrastructure. In prospective physics teacher education, understanding how virtual laboratories influence motivation and self-regulated learning is crucial. This study aims to describe the motivation and self-regulated learning among prospective physics teachers participating in virtual laboratory-based fundamental physics experiments. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, involving 27 prospective physics teachers at the Universitas Sulawesi Barat. Data were collected using a questionnaire adapted from the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ).  Results show that all items scored within the high category, with mean values ranging from 3.65 to 4.34 on a 5-point Likert scale, indicating generally high levels of motivation and self-regulated learning. However, one item (A5) indicated a relatively lower mean score, suggesting that some participants may be more extrinsically than intrinsically motivated. Additionally, most respondents perceived the virtual laboratory as moderately to highly helpful in understanding physics concepts. This study contributes to the development of technology-based learning strategies and emphasizes the importance of designing learning experiences that strengthen prospective teachers’ self-belief.  Further research should employ qualitative methods to explore the deeper learning experience of prospective physics teachers in virtual laboratories
