Abstract

Kata Kunci:  irigasi, pertanian, node, sensor, aktuator, IoTIrrigation is one of the important factors in achieving good productivity in agriculture and crop cultivation. Abstract

Acalypha indica is an abundant and obtainable wild weed plant in Indonesia. This is a possible opportunity to enhance its utility. The effect of free radicals is one of the factors that contribute to oxidative stress in the body, which can lead to cell damage and trigger various diseases. Plants rich in antioxidants can inhibit free radical reactions and protect the body from oxidative stress. In this study, we conducted the identification of major metabolite compounds using UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap HRMS from 70% ethanol extracts of Acalypha indica. We also performed phytochemical and antioxidant activity tests with various concentrations of ethanol-water solvents including water, 30%, 50%, 70% ethanol, and absolute ethanol to determine the optimal extraction conditions and the influence of solvent concentration on the antioxidant activity of Acalypha indica extract. The results of UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap HRMS identification showed that the 70% ethanol extract of Acalypha indica contains 10 major compounds suspected to correlate with its antioxidant activity. These include five flavonoids compounds (palasitrin, vitexin 2"-o-p-coumarate, isorhamnetin 3- (3",6"-di-p-coumarylglucoside), peucenin, and sulfuretin), two amino acid compounds (2-amino-3-carboxymuconic acid semialdehyde and N-Acetyl-L-phenylalanine), two carboxylic acid compound (citric acid and traumatic acid), and one phenolic compound (quinic acid). Phytochemical tests show positive results for flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, and triterpenoids in each of water, 30%, 50%, 70% ethanol, and absolute ethanol extracts. The best antioxidant activity was obtained from the 70% ethanol extract with an IC50 value of 47.064 ppm, categorizing it as an extremely strong antioxidant.

Abstract

Centella asiatica known as pegagan in Indonesia, belongs to the Apiaceae family and is widely used as salad, cosmetics ingredients, and herbal medicine for improving memory. This research aimed to determine the total phenolics content (TPC), antioxidant capacity (AC), and FTIR spectrum of C. asiatica leaves extracts using different extraction methods. C. asiatica extracts were prepared using maceration, reflux, and ultrasonication. The Folin-Ciocalteu method was used to determine TPC, and we found a higher level of TPC when using maceration, about 9,96 ± 0,20 mg GAE g-1 dry powder. Antioxidant capacity from the three extracts was measured using DPPH and FRAP methods. The highest antioxidant capacity using DPPH and FRAP methods was found in C. asiatica leaves extract using maceration with a value of 29,60 ± 0,71 and 14,04 ± 0,38 𝜇mol TE g-1 dry powder, respectively. The FTIR spectrum of each extract indicates the presence of vibration from several functional groups such as O-H, C-H, and C=C, likely from phenolics and C-O. The pattern of FTIR spectrum from the three C. asiatica leaves extracts gives different spectrum profiles and characteristics. Principal component analysis using FTIR spectrum data shows good clustering for each extract with 89% data variability (PC1 77% and PC2 12%). It can be concluded that TPC, AC, and FTIR spectrum profiles are different when using different extraction methods.

Abstract

Title: Impact of Maritime Delimitation on Coastal Communities at the Indonesia-Malaysia Border in West Kalimantan This study examines the impact of unresolved maritime delimitation on coastal communities, particularly fishermen in Tanjung Datu, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The topic was chosen because oceans, as valuable assets for maritime countries, often become centers of tension and conflict, especially regarding unresolved maritime boundaries between neighboring countries. The purpose of this research is to identify the impact of maritime delimitation on the rights and livelihoods of fishermen in Tanjung Datu and to highlight threats to the traditions, livelihoods, and economies of coastal communities in this region due to the unclear maritime boundaries between Indonesia and Malaysia. The research methodology combines normative legal and empirical approaches. The normative legal approach analyzes the international and national legal frameworks related to maritime delimitation, while the empirical legal approach involves a case study in Tanjung Datu. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, focusing on economic, social, and cultural impacts. The research findings indicate that the primary impact of maritime delimitation is economic, with changes in access rights and economic uncertainty; the social impact includes threats to the security of coastal communities; and the cultural impact relates to concerns about preserving cultural heritage and traditions. The conflict between Indonesia and Malaysia also creates legal uncertainty regarding the fishing waters of fishermen. There is an urgency to resolve maritime delimitation fairly and sustainably to accommodate the needs of coastal communities, preserve their cultural heritage, and create stable and prosperous conditions for coastal communities that rely on marine resources.

Abstract

Problems in community empowerment are evident in the low level of community participation in programs, limited budget availability, and suboptimal coordination between institutions, resulting in sub-optimal results. Based on these conditions, this study aims to analyze the role of the sub-district head in community empowerment in Kubu Babussalam District, Rokan Hilir Regency in 2021. According to Gani et al., the focus of the study includes the sub-district head's role as an innovator, motivator, and facilitator, as well as the factors influencing its implementation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The research results show that the sub-district head's role as an innovator is beginning to be seen through the development of programs based on local potential. However, implementation is hampered by budget constraints, minimal technical training, and low community participation. In terms of motivation, efforts to encourage participation through deliberations and social activities are evident, although this has not been implemented evenly. Furthermore, in his role as a facilitator, the sub-district head has attempted to coordinate communication between the community and government agencies, ensuring a more targeted empowerment program. Factors that influence. Keywords: Community Empowerment, Role of Government

Abstract

The Indonesian Government is currently in the process of developing several new ports in its territory as a means of supporting infrastructure development and maritime connectivity. One of them is the Development of the Kijing Terminal Port in the Province of West Kalimantan. It is important to study international and national legal regulations related to ports and how they affect the development of Tanjungpura Port, Kijing Terminal, which will be directed to become one of the international hub ports in Indonesia. The research methodology employed in this study is normative, with in-concreto legal study approach. It is found that, the consequence of the status of the "international hub" is that it is necessary to ensure that the best international port management and regulatory systems can be implemented at Tanjungpura Port, Kijing Terminal. The development plan for the Kijing Terminal Area to support increased regional competitiveness includes the construction of a Bauxite Smelter, the construction of the Kijing Industrial area, the construction of the Kijing Special Economic Zone (SEZ), the construction of a nuclear power plant to meet community and industry needs, the construction of the Pontianak - Sei Pinyuh, Sei Toll Road route Pinyuh – Mempawah, Mempawah – Kijing, Kijing – Singkawang, the construction of the Trans Kalbar Railway Road to increase ease of access and the establishment of the PT EUP refinery in Kijing. Several inputs that need to be considered so that Tanjungpura Port Governance can be carried out efficiently include repositioning the Government's role in the management and development of the Port with a focus on supporting market mechanisms and fair competition. In addition, related parties need to stipulate a Minister of Transportation Regulation on Ship Security Management and Port Facilities to provide a reference regarding the implementation of the ISPS Code or International Provisions for Ship Security and Port Facilities.

Abstract

Lampung Province is categorized as a highly vulnerable area due to its proximity to the Indian Ocean, the Sunda Strait, and the volcanic activity of Anak Krakatau. This geographical setting poses significant adaptation challenges, particularly for Generation Z, a strategic age group in disaster mitigation. This study aims to examine the relationship between place of residence and tsunami disaster adaptation capacity among Generation Z, with a specific focus on geographical proximity to the Megathrust and Krakatau Volcano. A quantitative approach was employed through an online survey distributed to 261 students of the University of Lampung. Data were analyzed using descriptive non-inferential statistics and multiple linear regression. The results indicate variations in disaster literacy levels across regions, with the highest scores reported by respondents from Bekasi (100) and Prabumulih (98), while the lowest scores were observed in Musi Banyuasin (66.5) and Medan (69.67). However, regression analysis revealed that geographical distance from either the Megathrust or Krakatau had no significant effect on tsunami literacy (Sig. > 0.05). These findings highlight that distance is not the primary determinant; rather, disaster experience, access to information, education, and local policy play a more substantial role in shaping the preparedness of Generation Z. The study recommends integrating disaster literacy into higher education curricula and strengthening evacuation simulations as adaptive strategies
