Abstract

EVALUATION OF GENERAL TERMINAL OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE IN GRESIK PORTAn increase in the number of ship visits and the flow of goods at the Gresik Port Public Terminal can cause long ship berthing queues. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research to determine the operational performance of the Gresik Port General Terminal as an evaluation and consideration material in policy making. In this study, we will discuss the operational performance of the Gresik Port General Terminal based on the Regulation of the Director General of Sea Transportation Number: HK.103/2/18/DJPL-16, then compare it with the perception of service users using the IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) method. From the results of the analysis based on the Regulation of the Director General of Sea Transportation Number: HK.103/2/18/DJPL-16, it was found that the operational performance indicators of the Gresik Port General Terminal which had a poor level of performance were Waiting Time (WT) with a percentage of achievement of 349.5%, a comparison of effective time compared to berthing time (ET: BT) with a percentage of achievement of 83.93%, and dry bulk productivity with a percentage of achievement of 74.89%. Meanwhile, from the results of the analysis using the IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) method, it was found that the operational performance indicators of the Gresik Port General Terminal that had poor performance were: waiting time pilot, waiting time ship, berthing time, berthing service berthing Pelra, productivity loading and unloading general cargo, productivity loading and unloading bag cargo, productivity loading and unloading dry bulk, length / number of docks, berthing occupancy ratio (BOR), fender condition and depth of the Port pool.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of beach sand as an alternative material for fine aggregate in normal concrete of K-225 quality with the addition of silica fume. The method used is an experimental method by testing compressive strength and slump values. In this study, 4 types of test pieces were used, namely concrete mixture using river sand (BN), concrete mixture using beach sand (BPP), concrete mixture using beach sand with the addition of 10% silica fume (BPPSF10), and concrete mixture using beach sand with the addition of silica fume 20% (BPPSF20). Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the concrete mixture using beach sand (BPP, BPPSF10 and BPPSF20) has a lower compressive strength than the concrete mixture using river sand. The addition of silica fume to the beach sand concrete mixture by 10% and 20% can increase the compressive strength of concrete but has not been able to achieve the planned compressive strength. Meanwhile, the slump value in the concrete mixture using beach sand is lower than the slump value of the concrete mixture using river sand.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of ProWritingAid, an AI-driven writing tool, on improving writing accuracy and increasing confidence among vocational high school students studying English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in Indonesia. The study examines the difficulties vocational students encounter in creating coherent and grammatically precise argumentation writings, highlighting the necessity for efficient technology assistance in their writing advancement. A qualitative case study methodology was employed to gather data using semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis involving 21 eleventh-grade students at SMK Al-Washliyah Sukra. Thematic analysis utilizing NVivo software was conducted to discern major trends in students' motivation, confidence, and challenges encountered while using ProWritingAid. The results indicate that ProWritingAid markedly improves students' motivation and self-assurance by delivering prompt, constructive feedback on grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure, together with progress monitoring that cultivates a sense of accomplishment. Challenges include restricted access to premium capabilities, the intricacy of advanced ideas, internet connectivity problems, and device limits were recognized as impediments to optimal tool utilization. Notwithstanding these challenges, the tool significantly enhanced writing precision, assisting students in generating clearer and more logical arguing compositions. The study emphasizes the significance of including AI writing tools as supplementary resources in vocational education, while warning against excessive reliance and highlighting the necessity for instructional oversight. The study's limitations encompass its brief duration, cultural distinctiveness, and dependence on a singular version of the tool, potentially impacting generalizability. Subsequent study ought to investigate longitudinal impacts, cross-cultural relevance, and the incorporation of new AI technologies to enhance writing education in vocational EFL settings.

Abstract

The growth of e-commerce in Indonesia continues to rise with the increasing use of internet and digital technology. Lazada, one of the largest e-commerce platforms in the country, offers a product review system that reflects customer satisfaction. However, the large volume of reviews makes it difficult for sellers to manually evaluate satisfaction levels. This study aims to predict customer satisfaction based on product reviews on Lazada Indonesia using the C4.5 Decision Tree algorithm. The research is quantitative with a data mining approach. Review data was obtained from Kaggle and went through preprocessing, exploration, model building, and testing stages. The attributes used include product name, category, price, number of reviews, and average rating, which were classified into satisfaction levels. The model was evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Results show that the C4.5 algorithm can predict customer satisfaction with 77.85% accuracy, 76.74% precision, 83.54% recall, and an F1-score of 80.00%. Product price is the most influential attribute in determining satisfaction. These findings are expected to help sellers understand the key factors influencing customer satisfaction and support improvements in service and product quality on e-commerce platforms.
