Abstract

This research examines the impact of air pollution on human health which can cause various serious diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, heart attacks, asthma and stroke. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), air pollution causes 7 million deaths every year, due to harmful substances released by air pollution sources. The focus of this research is to design tools that can communicate with each other to measure air quality on Bumi Tamalanrea Permai road, Makassar City using a vehicle network (VANET) and sensors installed on the vehicle. These sensors move and collect data periodically, and the collected data is sent to a base station as a collection center. The research results show that the device developed succeeded in recording sensor-based data well, thus producing important information regarding air quality on Bumi Tamalanrea Permai road. This device is also capable of operating effectively within a VANET network, enabling communication between nodes with a minimum delay of less than 40 meters and a signal strength of less than -77dBm. Communication with the base station uses the MQTT protocol, with low packet loss and data throughput at distances of less than 70 meters and signal strength below -77dBm.

Abstract

This research discusses the innovation of Alifa Bakery’s packaging design based on the rules of Fiqh Muamalah in Teluk Pinang  Village. The problems that arise in this study by providing a logo image in muamalah packaging this is done to give identity to the bread product. The purpose of this research is to create new packaging that is not only visually appealing but also reflects muamalah values that are in accordance with the social and cultural context of the local comunity. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies. The results of this study indicate that Alifa Bakery's packaging design innovation based on Fiqh Muamalah rules is able to create significant added value. The designed packaging reflects transparency, honesty, and ethics in business, which is an effort to strengthen consumer confidence in products and brands and become a means of creating a positive impact in business and society in the contemporary era. In addition, this research shows that packaging design innovation can also improve product competitiveness in the market by highlighting muamalah values that are relevant to consumers and local culture. Thus, this research provides added value for producers in developing such micro-enterprises that focus on muamalah values and economic, social, and cultural aspects.

Abstract

The phenomenon of sensual hedonism among students is increasingly worrisome as it negatively impacts morals, academic performance, and life balance. This paper aims to analyze the correlation between character education in Islam and the hedonism of students from the perspective of hadith, specifically Bukhari’s hadith number 6436 regarding greed. The research method used is qualitative, employing a literature review approach and thematic analysis of the hadith. The results of the study indicate that this hadith contains values of character education such as asceticism, self-control, and spiritual awareness that contrast with hedonistic values. By internalizing these values through character education, students can be directed to avoid a consumerist lifestyle and harmful social imaging. This study emphasizes that hadith-based character education can serve as a preventive solution to the deeply rooted hedonistic lifestyle in the modern era.

Abstract

This study explores the strategic integration of creative industry practices and blue economy principles through the lens of a small digital media enterprise in Indonesia’s Riau Islands. Using a qualitative case study approach, it investigates how PT Digipedia Karya Pratama navigates structural constraints—such as limited human capital, financing, and innovation capacity—to engage in sustainable digital innovation. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and direct observation, and analyzed thematically alongside a SWOT framework. Findings reveal that while the company’s strengths lie in institutional networks and cultural embeddedness, it struggles with underdeveloped game development initiatives and insufficient engagement in regional innovation ecosystems. However, its strategic location and narrative capital offer pathways for leveraging marine sustainability themes through serious games and digital storytelling. The study contributes to the literature by highlighting the role of peripheral creative firms in aligning digital transformation with blue economy goals, proposing a replicable model for innovation-driven development in coastal regions. Practical recommendations are offered to strengthen talent development, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and culturally grounded game production. This case contributes to the discourse on inclusive innovation, sustainability communication, and creative economy policy in emerging economies.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the feasibility of research instruments that will be used in developing a design for a competency training model for residential construction workers that has local wisdom values. The research method, namely analyzing the validity and reliability of research instruments, aims to determine the level of validity of research instruments before they are used to describe the implementation of learning. Analysis of validation results was carried out using quantitative methods by providing assessments by 6 experts or experts. The research results show that the instruments used in the research on the competency training model for residential construction workers which have local wisdom values obtained a mean value of > 0.90 including very high validity and reliability which shows that these instruments are suitable for use.

Abstract

The ITSJava application is used online to increase students' understanding and interest in PBO learning. One of the components of the ITSJava application is the domain/expert model. The expert domain model in the ITS Java application determines whether students can continue to the following material or repeat the material being studied. This research aims to determine the accuracy, precision and sensitivity of the results provided by the Naïve Bayes algorithm in determining the level of students' ability to understand the material in the ITSJava application. The research method uses the Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD) design, which consists of 1) Data selection, 2) Preprocessing, 3) Transformation, 4) Datamining, and 5) Interpretation/evaluation. This research obtained an accuracy level of 89%, precision = 0.92 and recall = 0.73 if using cross-validation with fold = 10, and an accuracy level of 75%, precision = 1, and recall = 0.37 if using percentage split = 80. These results show that the Naïve Bayes method applied to the ITS Java application can determine the level of students' ability to understand the material.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah mendorong transformasi signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan, termasuk dalam pelaksanaan asesmen hasil belajar. Salah satu inovasi yang banyak dimanfaatkan di era digital adalah penggunaan Google Form sebagai media asesmen formatif daring, khususnya di sekolah dasar. Asesmen formatif memiliki peran strategis dalam memantau perkembangan pemahaman peserta didik dan memberikan umpan balik bagi perbaikan pembelajaran. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Google Form dalam mendukung asesmen formatif berbasis daring di lingkungan sekolah dasar melalui kajian pustaka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan menelaah literatur dari berbagai database ilmiah, buku referensi, dan pedoman kebijakan pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Google Form menawarkan keunggulan dalam hal kemudahan pembuatan soal, fleksibilitas desain, koreksi otomatis, serta penyajian hasil asesmen secara real-time. Selain itu, platform ini juga mendukung prinsip asesmen yang valid, reliabel, dan praktis, sekaligus meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik melalui fitur interaktif. Kendati demikian, implementasi asesmen daring berbasis Google Form masih menghadapi sejumlah tantangan, seperti keterbatasan akses internet, minimnya perangkat digital, dan rendahnya literasi digital di kalangan guru maupun peserta didik. Diperlukan strategi optimalisasi melalui pelatihan guru, penyediaan infrastruktur pendukung, serta integrasi Google Form dengan platform digital lainnya. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan Google Form sebagai solusi efektif dalam mendukung pelaksanaan asesmen formatif berbasis daring di sekolah dasar pada era digital.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of the factors that affect the quality of the service employees Local Company (Perusda) South Sulawesi in terms of the various aspects which include; employee competence, leadership, commitment to work, organizational culture, and organisasial structure, and quality of service of employees. The population in this study were all employees of the company in the area of South Sulawesi Perusda four business units, namely a total of 106 people. The results showed that (1) the value of the variable employee competence and commitment are at very high and variable categories of leadership, organizational culture, organizational structure, and quality of service of employees are in the high category, (2) employee competence and a significant positive effect on the quality of service South Sulawesi Perusda employees, (3) leadership but not significant positive effect on the quality of service of employees (4) work commitments and a significant positive effect on the quality of service of employees (5) organizational culture positive and significant impact on the quality of service of employees (6) organizational structure influence positive and significant impact on the quality of service of employees Pusda in South Sulawesi.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the performance of a greenhouse solar dryer with a vertical rotating rack system (GHSD-VRR), integrated with an air recirculation system and a biomass furnace with air preheater. This GHSD-VRR was able to reduce the weight of fish from 88.6 kg with a wet basis moisture content of 68.5% (2.18% on a dry basis) to 34.4 kg with a wet basis moisture content of 20% (0.21% on a dry basis) at an average air temperature of about 57.0°C and an average sunlight of 629 W/m² in 10.8 hours. The average drying rate (DR) and specific moisture extraction rate (SMER) reached 4.44 kg/s and 0.211 kg/kWh, respectively. The average specific energy consumption (SEC), specific thermal energy consumption (STEC), and specific electrical energy consumption (SEEC) were 7.724 kWh/kg, 6.408 kWh/kg, and 1.315 kWh/kg, respectively. The efficiency of biomass furnace, dryer, and exergy were recorded at 66.9%, 38.7%, and 80.5%, respectively. The contribution of heat energy from sunlight and biomass to the dryer system was 19.18% and 64.7%, respectively.

Abstract

Implementing the Pancasila Student Profile (Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila, P5) in Indonesian primary schools is a recent curriculum initiative aimed at strengthening student character and competencies. However, many primary schools face challenges in effectively integrating P5 due to limited teacher understanding of character-based pedagogy and lack of contextual learning tools. This case study examines how a structured coaching and mentoring model can enhance P5 implementation at a public primary school in Makassar, Indonesia. A qualitative approach was used, including interviews with five teachers and two school leaders, and classroom observations of P5 project activities. The results indicate that the coaching and mentoring model significantly improved teachers’ pedagogical practices and confidence in integrating Pancasila values into lessons. Teachers reported that regular coaching sessions helped them reflect on and refine their instructional strategies, while mentoring by experienced educators provided practical guidance and moral support. School leaders observed increased student engagement and more authentic character development during P5 projects. The findings align with recent literature suggesting that ongoing coaching and peer mentoring are effective forms of teacher professional development for character education. This study contributes to understanding how collaborative, reflective professional learning can strengthen curriculum reforms. It highlights the importance of sustained teacher support through coaching and mentoring in successfully translating the P5 character education goals into classroom practice. The paper discusses implications for educators and policymakers seeking to embed character education in primary education and offers recommendations for scaling such coaching-mentoring models.
