Abstract

This study aims to construct the concept of micro-leadership in madrasah management based on the managerial analysis of the Hadith regarding the obligation to appoint a leader among three travelers. Using a qualitative library research method with a hadith commentary approach and organizational behavior analysis, this study finds that the hadith is not merely travel ethics but a theological foundation for forming effective functional work units. The results indicate that the principle of one leader for three people aligns with span of control and agile leadership theories, recommending the formation of small teams (3–5 members) with a single chain of command to enhance decision-making speed and accountability. The practical implication of this research offers a madrasah organizational structure model that decentralizes authority at the micro-level to overcome bureaucratic inefficiencies and ambiguity in committee responsibilities.

Abstract

Eschatological studies in Juz 'Amma, particularly reflections on Surah Al-Qari'ah, have profound relevance to the formation of Muslim character in the current digital era. This research aims to explore the eschatological messages contained in Surah Al-Qari'ah using the tarbawi hadith approach, in order to identify Islamic educational values that can shape the character of Muslims with noble morals amidst the rapid development of technology. The method used in this research is a literature study with a qualitative-descriptive approach. Data were obtained from primary sources, namely the Qur'an and Hadith, as well as secondary literature related to Islamic education and Muslim character. The research results show that the eschatological message in Surah Al-Qari'ah contains strong moral values, such as awareness of the afterlife, moral responsibility, and balance between this world and the hereafter. These values can be internalized in the character formation of Muslims in the digital era through the approach of tarbawi hadith, which emphasizes education based on morality and spirituality. By understanding the eschatological message in Surah Al-Qari'ah, Muslims in the digital era can be wiser in utilizing technology and maintaining moral integrity in their daily lives.

Abstract

This study examines wage justice in Islamic educational institutions through an analysis of the Prophetic hadith “Give the worker his wages before his sweat dries” (HR. Ibn Majah) and its relevance to contemporary human resource management. The study is motivated by persistent issues such as delayed wage payments, inadequate compensation, and structural inequalities affecting educators.Using a qualitative approach with a library research design, this study integrates normative analysis of hadith and fiqh literature with contemporary theories of organizational justice, including distributive, procedural, and temporal justice. The findings reveal that the hadith embodies a multidimensional framework of wage justice that aligns with modern management theory while extending it through ethical and spiritual accountability. However, a significant gap persists between these normative principles and institutional practices, driven by managerial limitations, structural inequality, and cultural narratives that undermine professionalism. In response, this study proposes an integrative model of fair wage management based on competence, welfare adequacy (kifayah), timely payment systems, and transparent contractual governance. The study concludes that wage justice in Islam constitutes an institutional obligation that must be operationalized within organizational systems. The proposed model offers both theoretical and practical contributions by bridging Islamic ethical principles with contemporary management practices. Future research is recommended to empirically validate the model across diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

Human life is getting easier with new discoveries, both in the fields of science and technology. One of the advantages of this progress is that individuals get information easily and quickly, but in fact this actually increases life competition even harder. This problem can be solved by implementing social education according to Al-Qur'an and Al-Sunnah. The aim of this research is to compare and relate the concept of social education in Islam from the perspective of Ahmad Rajab Al-Asmarī and Muḥammad Al-Syādzilī. This research is library research in the form of descriptive analysis. The data is collected by using primary sources, namely the Al-Nabī Almurabbī Book and the Usus Al-Tarbiyah Al-Ijtimāiyah fī Al-Islām Book, while secondary sources are obtained through books, journals, or others that discuss research problems. Al-Asmarī emphasized the importance of the example of Prophet Muhammad as the basis for social education, while Al-Syādzilī emphasized the importance of Islamic social principles implemented through formal educational institutions and public policies. According to Al-Asmarī, social education focuses on the formation of morals and manners with the aim of forming individuals with noble character in accordance with the example of Prophet Muhammad. Meanwhile, according to Al-Syādzilī, the social education process can be used to form a just society by applying Islamic principles in all aspects of social, political and economic life. Regarding developments over time, Al-Asmarī still adheres to a traditional approach which is based on implementing established values without much modification. However, Al-Syādzilī emphasized the importance of adapting to social changes and modern challenges

Abstract

This study examines the extent to which teachers' professional competence influences students' learning activities and cognitive learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The Research was motivated by the widespread assumption in educational policy that improving teacher competence is a primary pathway to enhancing learning quality. This assumption has received mixed empirical support. Employing a descriptive quantitative design, data were collected from 157 eleventh-grade students at a public senior high school in Indonesia using questionnaires, academic documentation, and classroom observations. Teachers' professional competence and students' learning activities were measured through Likert-scale instruments, while cognitive learning outcomes were obtained from school records. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, and simple and multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that teachers' professional competence has no statistically significant effect on students' learning activities or cognitive learning outcomes. Regression models demonstrate very low explanatory power, indicating that professional competence accounts for only a minimal proportion of variance in both dependent variables. Visual analysis using scatter plots further confirms the absence of meaningful linear relationships. These results suggest that student engagement and achievement in PAI are shaped by broader factors beyond teachers' professional competence alone. The study highlights the importance of adopting a more holistic perspective on educational effectiveness that integrates student agency, classroom interaction, and contextual learning environments.

Abstract

The Hadith Qudsi, conveying Allah’s words through the Prophet Muhammad, is a unique source of Islamic guidance emphasizing infaq (spending in the way of Allah). This study examines fundamental qudsi hadiths, including the fifth hadith: “O My servants, spend, and I shall spend on you,” alongside others that encourage generosity, prohibit hoarding, and affirm Allah’s ownership of sustenance. Through a qualitative literature review, the research explores theological (trust in sustenance, divine ownership, promised reward), ethical (sincerity, empathy, self-restraint), and social dimensions (wealth distribution, solidarity, and sustainable development). The findings highlight the continuing relevance of infaq in addressing modern challenges, positioning it as a pillar of Islamic philanthropy and a means to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as poverty eradication (SDG 1), food security (SDG 2), and quality education (SDG 4). Moreover, it underscores the adaptation of infaq within the digital economy as an effective tool for crisis response and community empowerment. Ultimately, infaq is presented as a holistic, transformative act of worship that integrates spiritual and social values, fostering justice, compassion, and sustainability in contemporary society.

Abstract

Balaghah  is the science that discusses how to convey meaning accurately and beautifully, while at-tibaq in the science of bad?‘ is a style of language that emphasizes the contrast between two opposing meanings in a text, including in the verses of Surat Al-Isra’. This is the key to understanding the depth of meaning and beauty of the language of the Qur’an, but it is rarely used systematically as the basis for learning design. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the form and function of at-tibaq in Surah Al-Isra' and formulate a text-based Balaghah  learning design and case method. The method used is a qualitative approach in the form of a literature study, with the main data being verses from Surah Al-Isra' that contain at-tibaq and related scientific articles, analyzed through content analysis. The results of this study show that there are several types of at-tibaq (contradictions in meaning between verses, within a phrase, within a sentence, and in semantic roles) that serve to emphasize dichotomies of meaning, clarify moral consequences, and strengthen the persuasive, emotional, and aesthetic power of the text. The contribution to the development of Balaghah  learning is evident when the verses of Al-Isra' are used as the main case for analysis, arranged in a step-by-step module, and enriched with lesson plan design tasks so that Balaghah  material is easier to understand and closer to the learning experience.

Abstract

This study investigates the dual influence of ChatGPT and Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) strategies on the academic writing performance of students in Arabic Language Education programs. With the increasing integration of artificial intelligence tools in higher education, it is essential to understand how these technologies interact with traditional learning strategies, particularly in writing scholarly theses in Arabic—a language that presents unique structural and stylistic challenges. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the extent to which ChatGPT and SRL affect students’ ability to produce well-structured and linguistically accurate Arabic bachelor's theses. A quantitative survey method was employed, involving 56 students across three academic semesters. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS 4.0 to measure the impact of both variables. The findings indicate that both ChatGPT and SRL significantly enhance students' thesis writing skills. Notably, ChatGPT has a slightly greater influence, particularly in the areas of idea development, content organization, and advanced language use. Meanwhile, SRL remains crucial for time management, intrinsic motivation, and reflective evaluation. These results underscore the complementary roles of AI assistance and self-regulated strategies in academic writing. The study contributes to the growing discourse on the ethical and pedagogical implications of AI in education, particularly in the context of Arabic language scholarship. It recommends a balanced pedagogical model that integrates AI tools like ChatGPT with structured SRL frameworks to optimize student performance and uphold academic integrity.
