Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan menulis cerpen antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Strategi TOK (Tiru Olah Kembangkan) dengan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan model pembelajaran konvensional di kelas V SD Negeri Padangbai Tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan post test only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas V SD di Negeri Padangbai tahun pelajaran 2013/2014, yang terdiri dari 2 kelas dengan jumlah populasi 74 siswa. Instrumen yang akan digunakan untuk mengukur hasil belajar adalah tes kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan uji-t untuk menguji hipótesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajar dengan strategi TOK dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Besarnya thitung adalah 4,479 sedangkan ttabel dengan db = 74 dan taraf signifikansi 5% adalah 2,379. Hal ini berarti, thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (4,479>2,379) sehingga H0 ditolak dan H¬1 diterima. Dengan demikian, strategi TOK berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa yang diperoleh pada siswa kelas V tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 di SD Negeri Padangbai.Kata Kunci : Strategi TOK, Cerpen, Kemampuan Menulis This research aimed at knowing the significant difference on the students’ short story writing skills between the students who were taught by TOK strategy and the students who were taught by conventional teaching strategy on the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Padangbai in the academic year 2013/2014. This study was a semi-experiment research which post test only control group design. The populations of this study were all of the fifth grade elementary students of SD Negeri Padangbai in the academic years 2013/2014, in which consists of 2 classes which were 74 students. The instrument was the short story writing competency’s test and the data analysis used statistic descriptive and statistic inferential by using t test to examine the hypothesis. The results of this study show that there were significant differences on students’ writing competency between the group who was taught by TOK strategy and the group who was taught by using conventional teaching strategy. The tcount was 4,479 while ttable with db=74 and the 5% significance standard was 2,379. It meant tcount was bigger than ttable (4,479 >2,379) so that H0 was rejected, and H1 was accepted. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa yang signifikan antara kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Brain Based Learning berbantuan lingkungan dengan kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas IV SD di Gugus XIII Kecamatan Buleleng Tahun Pelajaran 2013/ 2014. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh kelas IV SD di Gugus XIII Kecamatan Buleleng yang terdiri dari 5 SD dengan jumlah 154 siswa. Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas IV SD No. 1 Banjar Tegal dengan jumlah 29 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IV SD No. 1 Baktiseraga dengan jumlah 38 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes uraian pemahaman konsep IPA. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji-t sampel independent. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa yang signifikan antara kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Brain Based Learning berbantuan lingkungan dengan kelompok siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil perhitungan rata-rata skor pemahaman konsep IPA kelompok siswa dengan model BBL (32,21) lebih tinggi dari pada kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional (27,82). Jadi, model BBL berbantuan lingkungan berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA siswa pada kelas IV SD di Gugus XIII Kecamatan Buleleng.Kata Kunci : BBL, lingkungan, pemahaman konsep This study was aimed at finding the significant difference between the concept of science between a group of students who learnt through Brain Based Learning combined with environment and a group of students who learnt conventionally in fourth graders in SD at Gugus XIII Buleleng District in academic year 2013/ 2014. This study was quasi experiment. The population of this study was all the fourth graders SD at Gugus XIII Buleleng District which involved 5 SD with the total amount 154 students. The sample of this study was fourth graders in SD No. 1 Banjar Tegal with the total amount 29 students as experiment class and fourth graders in SD No. 1 Baktiseraga with the total amount 38 students as control group. In collecting data, this study used essay test of science as the instrument. The data collected were analyzed by using descriptive statistic and t-test independent sample. The results of this study showed that there was different understanding of students’ science concept between the students who learnt through the instructional based on Brain Based Learning combined with environment and the students who learnt conventionally. The results of the mean of students who learnt through BBL (32,21) was higher than the students who learnt conventionally (27,82). So, BBL model combined with environment gave effect toward the students’ understanding about the concept of science in fourth grade in Gugus XIII Buleleng District. keyword : BBL, environment, concept undertanding

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran Mind Mapping dan kelompok siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas IV SD di Desa Yehembang Gugus IV Diponegoro Kecamatan Mendoyo. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas IV SD di Desa Yehembang Kecamatan Mendoyo tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 102 orang. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV SDN 3 Yehembang yang berjumlah 20 orang dan siswa kelas IV SDN 7 Yehembang yang berjumlah 26 orang. Data hasil belajar IPA siswa dikumpulkan dengan instrumen tes berbentuk objektif. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji-t). Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPA yang signifikan antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model Mind Mapping dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran konvensional kelas IV SD di Desa Yehembang Gugus IV Diponegoro Kecamatan Mendoyo tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Perbandingan hasil perhitungan rata-rata hasil belajar IPA siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model Mind Mapping adalah =13,70 lebih besar dari rata-rata hasil belajar IPA siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran model konvensional adalah =10,42. Hal ini berarti penerapan model Mind Mapping berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SD di Desa Yehembang Gugus IV Diponegoro Kecamatan Mendoyo. Kata Kunci : model Mind Mapping, hasil belajar IPA This reasearch is aims to describe the differences of learning outcomes among the group of pupil which use Mind Mapping learning method and the group of pupil which use conventional learning method on Natural Science Study Subjek in 4th grade elementary school in Diponogoro Cluster Distric Mendoyo,Yehembang Village. The type of reasearch is a quasi experimental reasearch.The population is 102 students of 4th grade elementary school in Yehembang Village Mendoyo Distric academic year 2013/2014. The sample on this reasearch is 20 students of 4th grade on Yehembang 3 Elementary School and 26 students of 4th grade on Yehembang 7 Elementary School.The data of learning outcome were collected using objective multiple-choice test. Collected data were analzyed using descriptive statistic and t-test inferential statistic. The result shown that were such a significant differences in learning outcomes between the student who take Mind Mapping method and the student who take conventional learning method in 4th grade of Cluster IV Diponogoro Mendoyo Distric academic year 2013/2014. Comparison of the average Natural Science learning outcomes who take Mind Mapping is =13,70 bigger than the average of Natural Science learning outcomes for student who take conventional learning method =10,42. Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar PPKn dikarenakan kurangnya motivasi belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis korelasi antara kecerdasan emosional dengan hasil belajar PPKn, korelasi anatara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar PPKn, korelasi antara kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar PPKn. Jenis penelitian ini adalah expost facto. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 232 siswa. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 173 siswa. Pemilihan sampel dengan teknik propotional random sampling. Pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner dan pecatatan dokumen. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi sederhana dan regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan hasil belajar PPKn siswa kelas IV SD diperoleh koefisien korelasi R sebesar 0,642 dan sumbangan kontribusi variabel 41,2%. Terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar PPKn diperoleh koefesien korelasi R sebesar 0,656 dan sumbangan kontribusi variabel 43,2%. Ketiga, secara bersama-sama terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar PPKn siswa kelas IV SD dengan diperoleh koefesien korelasi sebesar 0,713 dan sumbangan kontribusi sebesar 50,3%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar hasil belajar PPKn Siswa kelas IV SD.

Abstract

This study aimed at finding the process of developing learning multimedia on the food and beverage product course particularly in the soup menu as the sub-topic. The validity of developed product depended on the expert judgements; content expert judgment, media expert judgement, and design expert judgement. The research model used in this study was ADDIE model in which the subjects of this study were 2 content expert judges, 2 design expert judges, and 2 media expert judges. There were also 40 students of twelfth grade involved in this study. The data were gained by conducting observation, interview, and questionnaire. The process of developing learning multimedia on the food and beverage product course particularly in the soup menu as the sub-topic was relevant and appropriate to be used for twelfth grade students in vocational high school. The use of developed learning multimedia assisted students in understanding the learning material due to the complement of concrete examples in the form of picture and video. It also created students’ interactions during the learning process where the students were able to operate and response the questions given in this interactive learning multimedia.  The developed product has very good quality viewed from the results of content validity, design validity, and media validity. The similar result also found from the individual validity and small group validity.

Abstract

In the digital era like today, maximum Mathematics learning outcomes in the affective and psychomotor domains are difficult to obtain through full online learning. This difficulty is influenced by environmental and cultural factors inherent in students’ lives. Therefore, an idea in the form of innovative learning model is needed to internalize cultural values and local wisdom in online learning. Based on the problems and needs of their solutions, the innovative model that emerged in this study is called Ethno-Flipped learning of Mathematics lessons based on internalizing data from Tri Mandala concept on the Schoology platform. The aim of this research is to demonstrate an Ethno-Flipped Learning design based on internalizing data from the Tri Mandala concept on the Schoology platform. This research approach is development with a focus on development at several stages, including: research and field data collection, planning, design development, initial trials, and revision of initial trial results. The number of personnel involved in the initial trial was 104 respondents. The data collection tool for the initial trial results was a questionnaire consisting of 10 questions related to the model design. The analysis was carried out by comparing the percentage of model design quality with the five scale categorization standards. The findings or research results show that the Ethno-Flipped learning design especially for Mathematics lessons based on internalizing data from the Tri Mandala concept on the Schoology platform is classified as good quality by a quality percentage of 87.54%. The contribution of this research is that it provides new knowledge about an innovative learning model based on Balinese culture and local wisdom combined with an online learning platform. The novelty of this research is in the form of an innovative learning model design that combines the Flipped Classroom learning model, the Ethno-Mathematics approach, and the Tri Mandala concept.

Abstract

The role of educational technology is to facilitate people to learn more efficiently to achieve optimal learning outcomes. One thing that can be done is to promote learning using learning media. However, this learning media will be effective with the right learning strategy. This study aimed to describe the correspondence of the TPACK framework with learning variables in educational technology in the digital era based on literature studies of the effectiveness of implementing the flipped classroom learning strategy assisted by virtual laboratory media on understanding mathematical concepts through pre-experimental studies. The subjects of this study were researchers, teachers, and 8th-grade students of SMPN 5 Abiansemal-Badung-Bali in the even semester of the academic year 2022/2023. The data collection instrument was a test of understanding mathematical concepts. Literature study data analysis was conducted by searching relevant theories and collecting articles, data reduction, discussion, and conclusions. The pre-experimental study was carried out by calculating the value of the students' pre-test and post-test gain scores for understanding mathematical concepts. There is a description of the correspondence of the TPACK framework with learning variables in educational technology: Technology elements correspond to condition variables; Paedagogy corresponds to method; and content knowledge corresponds to the outcome variables. The gain score of understanding students' mathematical concepts by applying the flipped classroom assisted by the virtual laboratory obtained 28% of students achieving the high criteria, 48% attaining moderate criteria, and 24% receiving low criteria. Thus, the flipped classroom learning strategy assisted by virtual laboratory media effectively increases students' understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

AbstractElementary school students still need help learning English, resulting in low learning outcomes. The lack of learning facilities and the application of inappropriate learning models impact students' low motivation to learn English. Regarding this matter, this study aims to examine the effectiveness of task-based e-learning on students' cognitive dissonance and reading engagement in learning English at elementary schools. The study was designed in a Quasi-Experimental Design with a posttest-only control group design. The population of the study was 158 4th-grade elementary school students. A random sampling technique was used in this study with a sample size of 55 4th-grade elementary school students. A survey was used to collect the data. The instrument used to collect research data was a questionnaire sheet. Two-way ANOVA was used to test the hypothesis. The results of the study show a significant effect simultaneously and partially with a Sig. value < 0.05, task-based e-learning has an impact on students' cognitive dissonance and reading engagement in learning English at elementary schools. The study implies that applying task-based e-learning can make it easier for students to learn English, which impacts their cognitive dissonance and reading engagement.

Abstract

Cultivating local cultural values by adapting to technological advances, found in digital comic learning media oriented towards local Sasak wisdom, provides ease of learning and communicative language and is easy to access but still needs to be improved. The research aims to develop digital comic media that is feasible, practical and effective, oriented towards Sasak local wisdom (e-kodisa). The development stage uses the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation (ADDIE). The research results show that digital comic media oriented towards Sasak local wisdom from material experts in category 1 is feasible, and material experts in category 2 are possible. The assessment of digital comic media from Media expert 1 is in the attainable category, and media expert 2 is very doable. The evaluation of learning design experts and language experts is in the very decent category. Trials on students show that digital comic media is practical and can be used in learning. The results of the effectiveness test showed sig. (2-tailed)<0.05 Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted, meaning a significant difference exists between the pretest and posttest averages. So, developing digital comic media oriented towards Sasak local wisdom is feasible, practical and effective.

Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence image generators in creating digital illustration is experiencing rapid development as an alternative to support the work of designers in  various fields, especially visual communication design. Despite its sophistication, we must consider some aspects of the human side in order to maximize the  design aesthetic value. This research aims to find out what applications are used in the AI image generator, as well as to identify the results of digital illustrations using the AI image generator. The results of this research show that the image generation diffusion model with various techniques and variations developed can produce excellent and unique text-based quality and control. However, humans are still the best pilots for determining text-based commands that can produce and function the greatest result.
